Description

A new fragrance of Iceberg house, The Iceberg Fragrance, comes in May 2008. This opulent, exuberant, dynamic fragrance was created in cooperation with perfumer Natalie Gracia-Cetto of Givaudan. It opens with fresh sparkly wafts of bergamot, fruity accords of pear, coriander and pink berries which increase the energy and magic of this perfume. The heart unites floral notes of peony, mimosa and violet. This floral delight is enriched with pistachio ice cream aroma. The base introduces patchouli, vanilla, musk and leather.

The Iceberg Fragrance comes in a modern bottle with gold-colored accents in sizes of 30ml (1 oz.fl.), 50ml (1.7 oz.fl.) and 100ml (3.4 oz.fl.). The bottle is actually decorated with the list of components.

The nose behind this fragrance is Nathalie Gracia-Cetto.

For me this is the same as Fendi Furiosa. If you have one of them don’t need the other. Nice fragrance.

This is a very pretty fragrance in a nice bottle, the opening is a bit harsh–my skin pulls up mostly patchouli and coriander in the beginning and I have to wait a few minutes for it to mellow out before I can truly enjoy it. Yes, there is a warm nutty pistachio ice cream vibe to this one, but it is in no way gourmand. I can see this one shining in colder weather as it will come off more crisp than it did when I wore it yesterday. All in all, a keeper.

I love, love, love this fragrance. It’s such a joy to wear and is very hard to find hence I don’t want to use the remaining amount that I have left until I can buy another one but other then that, I am unable to pick out individual notes. However, I do think that the suede element gives it a certain something.
It’s projection is moderate and the longevity is 3-4 hours but it’s so nice and comforting that I don’t mind reapplying

Really interesting, spicy scent, the longer you wear it, the more complex nature of the perfume do you reveal. The only note that seems to slightly ruin the composition is the cloying mimosa which jumps up to the surface in the least appropriate moment but otherwise it’s just great – the wood, coriander and most of all – the beautiful, naturally smelling patchouli! And the smooth mix of almond, pistachio and vanilla is amazing here – none of the three stands out – they are perfectly blended.

I’m kinda confused with this perfume’s name..it doesn’t suit well with its fragrance but thank God it suits well on my skin xD
I’m okay with this, the only problem is when i first sprayed this, all I can smell is the citrus note.
1hour later, i can smell the floral note. The patchouli is very noticeable on me. Because I have many perfume with patchouli notes, it becomes familiar with me.

this fragrance is fully different from how I imagined it to be. pistachio?coriander?red berries? not even close! to my nose it smells like sweet fresh flowers which is marinated with a drop of sour citrus. I could not detect the flower, definitely not rose, maybe magnolia? I see that according to the notes the closest note to describe what I smell is mimosa. It smells somehow sharp and soapy at the first but after some minutes becomes creamier and lovelier(in my opinion).sweet notes (vanilla & almond I guess) are very subtle and mixed with citruses, but not nutty as it seems according to the notes.
overall, I can say that it smells somehow classic, but has some vibes of modern perfumes at the same time. It’s sharper than my usual perfume taste and the real smell has nothing to do with these attractive, rare notes.
EDIT: member who say it smells all like coriander are right. after one hours it’s all about a spicy perfume. very strong! smells like a mixture of Paco Rabanne XS extreme & blv Notte.

Unfortunately this is a NO for me.
soapy hippie patchouli with a subtle nutty sweet fruity peony smell.
It starts off sweet and kind of nutty. Patch is right up front and present…. then in comes a blast of soapy herbal smell and it hit me – coriander seeds! Now I love cilantro….but crushed up coriander is very soapy smelling. As a note in perfume, coriander is not really something I want dominating.
The patchouli gets a bit stronger, its very hippie (armpit dirty patchouli). I smell some fruity something or other with quite a bit of peony. That coriander gets stronger. NO. not for me.

  8. :

My dry down became coriander. Nothing but coriander. So disappointed with the way my chemistry worked with this as it started out so promising.

  9. :

There is a lot going on in the composition of The Iceberg Fragrance but it still manages to have a light and airy tone to it. It is floral (peony and violet), fruity and fizzy (bergamot, pear, berries) and nutty-gourmand (pistachio, almond, coriander, vanilla) all at the same time. There are even accents of suede and musk in the background. I wish this fragrance had a little more bravado or swagger, but that’s just my own personal bias towards grandiose fragrances.
The Iceberg Fragrance is a fragrance very much in line with Cacharel’s Noa — a soft, sweet, comforting, floral-musk with some unconventional spicy-gourmand notes to provide texture and interest. It is a very pretty fragrance but not really my style.

Each time I spray this on myself, I think “Mistake!” because that initial blast of coriander is a doubt-inducing, nose-hair bleaching slap. BUT, let not thy faith waver! In 15 minutes or so, the coriander sinks and melds with the sweet, nutty deliciousness underneath it. It is a combination of “sweet,” “fresh” and “tender leather” that I have not experienced elsewhere. It has merely adequate sillage for me, but it lasts most of the day. I don’t think anyone could call it a “sex bomb” or anything like that, but one that can be worn simply for the pleasure of smelling “great.”

  11. :

So sweet that my initial thought was of a gourmand, yet simultaneously fresh???
Creamy rich and beautiful, I smell florals and a hint of fruit, combined with sweet loveliness. I could swear vanilla and caramel are here – doubtless created by a combination of almonds, violets, mimosa, and pistachio. No one note stands out to me, rather a lovely conglomeration of charm. If it had been up to me, I would have named this pretty creature something other than Iceberg, which it most certainly does Not resemble.
In the final analysis, it doesn’t matter what name or genre a scent possesses, so long as it smells Good. Without doubt, Iceberg DOES!
    Thumbs UP. 😀

I used this scent several years, i can tell only one words MASTERPIECE. Smells incredible, longlasting and silage is very well. Smells very bold and rich. Affordable price, i highly recommend this marvel :):)

A great blind buy. It is a lovely masculine perfume for women. Immediatley i smell coriander and bergamot. I feel like there is a burst of pink pepper in there (perhaps the pink berry note). After an hour the smell of ice cream and pistachio is prominant with leather and musk throughout the background. Just got it this afternoon and took a shower to go out to dinner and wore this masterpiece for the first time. Still enjoying the pistachio creaminess with leather in the dry down 7 hours after initially spraying. Love it. Definately one of the most striking bottles of all time.

Oops, I did it again. I vowed to not buy any fragrance out of the blue again but rather buy one I wanted for a long time. Well, I paid 9 Euros for 30 ml so please forgive me. After sniffing this one I simply had to. And I am even considering going back to that place to buy a back-up bottle! 😀
This has to be one of the most underrated fragrances ever and I cannot see how that could happen. A shame really because I think that this beauty is discontinued by now.
First of all the bottle is gorgeous and pure class. Nice twist with the notes printed on two sides and the golden top with an “I” embossed. The scent is just as classy and after an hour I mainly get a violet-leather mix that is infused with coriander and the ice cream accord. I have smelt nothing like this before.

  16. :

Unique, a bit masculine at the beginning. After 5 minutes it starts to become sweeter. Sugared pistachio and almonds, with a hint of coriander. Great.

Thanks to 2746cstreet for my decant of Iceberg Fragrance. Iceberg Fragrance opens on me with extremely prominent musky pear. It’s a softly sweet pear, mixed with a warm, slightly powdery clean violet musk, and an abstract almost tart floral, which might be the peony.
I think this has signature potential as it is unique, but it does not scream or foist itself upon you.
I see this as largely a pear-violet clean musk composition, innocent yet sexy in an almost teasing fashion, and while it is very gentle and pleasant, the pear is a little sweet for my taste in musks. I do enjoy some insanely sweet perfumes, but I like musky skin-scents to be more earthy/spicy, and less on the sweet fruity side. Still though, pleasant and well blended. Longevity is okay. Wears close to the skin.

  18. :

it’s definetely both female and male fragrance 🙂
    I like it very much

  19. :

A spicy coriander and vanilla concoction – soft, coolish spice blanket. Great for the price!
It also has some sweet/warm pink pepper and a touch of some almost nondescript fruit just around the edges (pear, or do I imagine it?). I don’t get much of any other notes but this is lovely, fresh, just a bit creamy/sweet and lighthearted. Can’t imagine it offending anyone, and the bottle is super cool (if masculine) looking. I enjoy it for what it is and wonder about layering it since it seems rather simple to me.
I’m gonna try to add some darkness to it and see how it fares.

  20. :

    3 out of 5

This is how word “sophisticated” smells like. This scent has class from design of the bottle to the last drop of amazing nectar inside it. Nothing shocking, cheap or one day “must have” madness, only true quality, lifestyle and personality.
The base of this perfume is rich and stable – adorable suede with a hint of patchouli, which brings a little bit earthy masculinity and turns scent from oriental floral to woody.
Delicious vanilla and almonds makes the scent soft and sweet and pistachios topping finishes this gourmand palette just perfectly.
A musk – oh yes, please! Natural alluring note which brings everything together and gives perfume warm, a little bit mysterious and intimate aroma. Absolutely femininity !
And thanks to creator or my skin’s chemistry, i didn’t find any coriander, which i just can’t stand. The gently spicy reminder could be it,but then…well, then this perfume is the only thing i like about coriander 🙂
A powdery texture balances all those individually strong notes into one perfectly harmonious composition.
I couldn’t say that a silage is bad – the scent just stays close to the master 🙂 And i like it that way – noticeable, but not shouting out loud. Longevity very depends on weather – i found out that scent is richer and stays longer when it’s cold, but dry and if it rains – disappears after few hours.
In the end i should say that despite amazing composition, it’s one of the most underrated scents. And I’m so happy! Yeah, I sound selfish, but it’s my (and other this perfume lovers) little secret how to smell like a million dollar for a very affordable price 🙂

  21. :

The longetivity is good but the silage is calm and mild! This is fantabulous scent!

  22. :

I think that is very interesting fragrance but not unisex. This is a feminine scent! The bottle is fantastic very beautiful, classy and stylish – very good – the bottle and the fragrance!

  23. :

    5 out of 5

Just received my bottle in the mail today. This is a weird but good fragrance. I do get a lot of coriander, fresher kind of scent almost hard to explain it. The dry down is the same but with a touch of sweet but not the pistachio ice cream sweet that I wish would develop or get an almond scent. Oh well I will still wear it, it is different from any other fumes I have right now.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

Brief update-Longevity is excellent and the pistachio note is prominent on dry down-which is what I was hoping for! 9/10

  25. :

    3 out of 5

Oh, definitely, I do like it. Yes, somewhat different, even unisex, warm and nutty. A bowl of oatmeal your Mom prepared and just that tiny bit of pistachio. It has that definite fall leather/suede thing going on. Soft, gentle, warm, just a bit sweet…nice, comforting winter scent. This is not a big loud statement perfume of any sort. Fine for work, weekend days while you hang around the house reading and making stew. Is it sensual? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

The first blast is a lot of coriander — a ton, in a very green way. It’s a bit overwhelming but you have to give it five minutes. Then it blends in and it becomes this delicious nut and vanilla ice cream that you’re eating in your leather jacket. Delicious and still a whiff of leather every once in a while. Not too sweet though you could definitely wear it to work once the coriander dies down. Very unusual vanilla, there’s really nothing else like it.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

The effervescent powder of the suede, the deeply intoxicating nuttiness offered up by the pistachio and almonds and the slight bite of coriander and patchouli round this out to perfection. By far, a stunner but this was not love at first sniff; no I needed to come to it again after some time to appreciate the warm, comforting depth it offers up.
It is unabashed in its creamy spice notes, it wraps you up in its richness and doesn’t let up. This is a go to on overcast days when I need something seductive and unusual. I have come across no other scents quite like this little beauty and I love it for it’s strange complexities that blend together seamlessly (although you would expect them not to).

  28. :

    5 out of 5

Nice smell but reminds me of my dad’s frag by Hermes (perhaps because of dominant coriander). The only thing I enjoy in it is the bottle)))

  29. :

    5 out of 5

A slightly schizophrenic fragrance that pulls in a lot of directions at the same time. Pistachio and a very green pear note become the most dominant to my nose after the opening has calmed down. Interesting and original, but not really my cup of tea.
I see no reason why this could not be unisex, it is quite powerful, it’s inexpensive, and the bottle is (almost) to die for. If you like it, it’s certainly a bargain.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

Well, I don´t know – my impression was somehow different. I could not feel any corriander, nor peony and no red berries either. To me it is a warm, cuddly scent of almonds, pistachio nuts and suede on the very gentle background of some delicate flowers. And not much more than that. It is nice and smooth, but I expected it to be much more deep and enfolding, more sophisticated, more sexy. But to be fair I have to say I have just sprayed it once or twice, it was clear right away that this is not a statement enough for me. I gave it to my mother-in-law who uses it as a day-scent and just adores the design of the bottle 🙂
This one really makes a perfect gift – the bottle is really nicely designed and the fragrance is delicate enough to suit almost everyone, will not offend.
But I was looking for more 😉

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Hmmm. I actually checked to see if I’d been sent the men’s fragrance by mistake. To me this is most certainly unisex.
My impression is that there is a lot of incense in here, but it’s not listed so I must be getting something else – coriander perhaps. Leather is there, I guess that’s the “suede”. There’s some sweetness, though I would have liked more of the pistachio icecream. Peony is evident too.
A winter fragrance I think – warm, spicy, perhaps comforting.
The bottle is enjoyably chunky and substantial (again, very unisex) but the lid has done that annoying thing of pulling the metal ring away from the spray part.
    Overall – unusual and interesting.

What a lovely lovely surprise this perfume is! I bought it today blindly after the suggestions of some fragrantica friends and boy am I happy to have it! I think I am falling in love with this one! rich, creamy, sexy this is what I feel wearing it- and believe me I haven’t stoped sniffing it from the morning 🙂

  33. :

    4 out of 5

I have not wore it enough to give a full review but up to now: this perfume is spicy and sweet and it smells a little like men perfumes, sexy, not boring at all. Both bottle and scent seem much more expensive than the price, very long lasting, on my skin a single spray lasts for more than 12 hours and on the cloths even for days. I like this one very much, it worths really for the price.

  34. :

first, I have to say thanks for everyone, who have written reviews about it.when I saw those reviews, I got very intrigued by this fragrance.I tried twice to buy it on the net, but it was bought before me.. I was patient…and finally got it!
I love it…and its kind of strange, because I`m more like a “sweet-scents-gal”.maybe I`m growing up:)
my first try- notes of coriander, patchouli and pepper . the drydown- vanilla, pistachio and I couldn`t help sniffing at myself all evening:).a very comforting fragrance.
it`s amazing how this scent keeps changing and keeping you exploring it.
at the moment it`s -13 degrees outside, I can still smell it and it`s still a perfect scent…
naturally, I adore the bottle too, it looks just stunning.

Such a complex and unique fragrance – never enough for me – feel I am getting addicted to this one.. I am so grateful to Action who made such a wonderful review on it and, unwillingly, made me to buy it! Many-many thanks for that, dear Mary!! I purchased it blind and it always will be one among some chosen fragrances I have found reading through reviews on this exceptionally useful web-site and so much love and enjoying now.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Proof positive that a fragrance does not have to cost a bomb to be magnificent! This smells unique, spicy, warm, expensive and MODERN! There is nothing sweet or candy-esque here. This is a statement perfume. I agree with the reviews that say it opens with a blast of coriander but I can immediately smell the bergamot and vanilla as well which really tames and mellows the coriander blast. It’s clean and crisp and yet warm and I love to wear it when it’s raining. To me, if ever there was a perfume made for the rain, it’s this one. The silage is very, very good and on me, the Eau de perfume, lasts a good 6-7 hours.

  38. :

I am confused as fragrantica has one of the notes listed as “pink pepper” but the notes are printed on the bottle and there is no pink pepper but it says “pink berries”. Sometimes I don’t smell certain notes til i know they are in there so I am so thankful for fragrantica. when I recieved this i read the notes on the bottle and tried to stick certain ones in my head so that I could pull those out. I kept repeating to myself over and over again “pink berries, pear, bergamot, pistashio ice cream, vanilla & suede”. and i guess u can say i only smelled the vanilla and suede and maybe some pink pepper even though its not printed on the bottle. So I really liked what I was smelling. A few weeks later I think I am not getting much vanilla and suede anymore, not sure what I am getting, mostly pink pepper. I still love it but it has zero lasting power and I am so sad about that because there is not use in keeping a fragrance that doesn’t last; there for this is either going on ebay or getting swapped.

Great perfume! love the sweet mixed with the burned almond and pistachio smell, it´s so warm and cosy. I love this one and will definitely by another bigger one.
The price is also very cheap 12 euro for a 50 ml eau de parfum!

A year ago I sampled EDT version in the shop, it was nice to wear casually, but it didn’t last long. So when I saw EDP bottle on sale, I grabbed it as fast as I could.
But my happiness lasted until I sprayed it on my wrist. It was so peppery, I almost started sneezing – coriander overpowered every single note, which is pleasant to my nose. Even after a while, when the pepper starts fading, it doesn’t make a better impression. For me it lacks vanilla sweetness, that feminine core of the fragrance.
Though, it’s more than obvious, that the fragrance is not my type, I have to admit, the lasting power and the feeling of warmth it gives are great benefits of Iceberg.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

I bought this blind, liked the bottle, liked the notes and it wasn’t going to break the bank.
This is quite an odd ball, it really does border on either being a love or a flop. From the amount for sale at low prices, I suppose judgement has already taken place. This is an odd ball, make no mistake but if you have an open mind and like to be adventurous without any pre conceived ideas then give this a try, you may just like this left fielder.
I’m pleased with my bottle, it’s a complete medley of notes, not refined or elegant but fun. It’s exuberant, chaotic, sweet, floral and fruity all at the same time. The ice-cream note intrigued me the most and yes I get that and yes it’s odd but in a nice way.
This fills a nice little space in my collection in the worthy odd ball section lol, existing for those times when you want something that isn’t predictable, something that makes you smile as you spray yourself in Pistachio ice-cream, fruit and flowers!

  42. :

    4 out of 5

I just got this in the mail, blind bought… funny I finally decided to blind buy it while I’ve been craving pistachio icecream 😛
On my skin it starts off with mostly suede and vanilla, also a slight nuttiness. Then in the middle I get more of the coriander & it becomes a little spicy & fresh. It’s a perfume chameleon!! Comforting, yet also kind of fresh and spicy. I think it’s really nice 🙂 It’s unique, stands out of the crowd from a lot of other female fragrances right now.
I don’t get the feeling this is masculine like a lot of other reviewers. Not ultra girly-girl (although I myself would probably be called a girly-girl, & have no problem wearing this.) but it’s a little sweet and not brash or ‘tough-guy’ like. I think it’s the very present suede note that is giving people this impression, but I personally don’t think suede is manly or womenly.
I agree with other reviews that this bottle is very nice, the color is deep & the golden notes on the bottle is a very nice touch. It looks classy & sturdy. I told my husband it reminds me of the godfather movies, which he is a fan of, & he shook his head in agreement
    ^-^

I must admit firstly that the 3 fragrance I have experienced from this house has led me to the doorstep of Iceberg the Fragrance. I just had to walk in. I wonder if I should have knocked first. I find that sometimes I like this on me and sometimes I don’t.I’m not sure what is making me feel this way but I will not get rid of it. I LOOOVE the bottle. It is weighty and of a very good design. Perhaps its the almond and coriander which make me not pine for it anymore than I do. Its a buttery smooth elegant take on an oriental bend and invites you in to stay awhile. The silliage is very good more than 5 hours but if you spray your clothes as well it lasts even longer. I think it works best for me in cooler weather but I won’t be shy about trying it when the weather warms up. I bet it gets even more spicier then. It reminds me of Diane by Diane Von Furstenberg.

This is sooo GREAT!!! I can’t believe I finally find the similar with Freya by Oriflame which I adore so much but unavailable now. You won’t guess for the first minute, it’s a fresh scent! I was so sure. I have several fresh scent that I love so when I smelt this Iceberg I wasn’t surprised…Yes, it was a few months ago. And now I keep sniffing.., after 10 minutes…I smell this is just like Freya! I am searching this kind of perfume. What a scent..! Georgeus trans, from fresh to spicy. Absolutely I love the price too.. will have this one ASAP. Oh, I do love everything on it!! 😀

Received a sample of this from the lovely EK, and I’m so glad I did! I probably never would have sought this out on my own, something about the notes and then the fragrance just didn’t inspire me. But oh, it has caught me!
This smells very aquaitc almost, but there’s something warm in the background that holds you. It’s a warmth that makes you want to cuddle in closer in the background of a cooling aquatic. I cannot quite describe it now as my nose is just befuddled at how strange but beautiful the two opposite scents are together. Altogether it makes for a very interesting fragrance, and one I will be revisiting.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

I was both extremely excited and nervous about testing this fragrance and now that I have (thanks to a very kind gift from member EK) I know my fears were unfounded!
The opening for some reason smells just like parma violets then there’s a blast of coriander that quickly melts into a sweet nutty scent, more earthy pistaschio than almond, but a blend of the two. Peony petals are whipped in in the middle stages, but they are unfortunately brief. Vanilla and musk come out as this dries down, but that nutty spicy hint remains, amidst the creamy goodness of this pistaschio ice cream dream. This is so cosy and while a bit sweet, never sugary and the staying power is great 10+ hours. The sillage is nice and in a warm room it seems to lift off your skin into a hug, but it’s never too strong. The style reminds me of Omnia a bit, with how spices are used but somewhat neutralised so as to make them smooth and inoffensive.

  48. :

The Iceberg Fragrance is so luxurious. It is a very sophisticated yet easy to wear fragrance, especially during these winter months. Love the way it evolves from spicy sweetness into a cosy leather/vanilla drydown.
Bought the 50ml EDP blind and it is a pleasant surprise. The bottle is understated elegance, as is the fragrance it holds within. Absolutely gorgeous.

    UPDATE:
I’m going more and more crazy for this fragrance!
The opening citrus notes, which at the beginning I didn’t like so much, now are taking over my heart.
This perfume changes every minutes on my skin, and every accords of it are amazingly delicious and hypnotic to me: one cannot exist without the other, and everyone develop like a fascinating melody.
At the beginning it’s quite harsh and biting (yang phase), soon after it gradually becomes hot spicy, then it develops as a warm spicy scent, and finally it becomes more and more round, dense and enveloping (yin phase). And gourmand, too!
It’s different also if you smell it from near or from far: when I sniff citrus notes directly on my wrist, people around feel the smell of an enchanting incense… when I sniff warm spicy notes, people smell a heavenly vanilla’s fragrance. I have never knew such a “turbulent” fragrance, it’s so dynamic in time and space!
The dry-down has a vague inkling of Tuscan vanilla tobacco to my nose (although not among the ingredients), which is very exquisite and sensual to me and which makes this fragrance really out of the ordinary.
My only regret is that the lasting power is not so great as I would like to, and the dry-down is too close to my skin…
Or maybe am I just getting addicted?

@ Kittycat63: Let me disagree with you. I get crazy for “The Iceberg Fragrance” and I get crazy for “Anais Anais” (which is not at all boring and predictable as you said). They’re very different, but I love to wear both of them, in different season and in different moods.
The Iceberg Fragrance is very seductive and androgynous, Anais is more womanly and round, but both of them are very sensual, complex and intriguing in all their layers.
So, before saying that who loves a perfume like Anais is not suit to wear The Iceberg Fragrance, be careful… this is just an arbitrary assertion.

I dislike this one.the reviews had me expecting a pistachio scent somewhere in there and it was simply not there for me.It has a strong coriander and swede scent that mellows on the dry down.but is to strongly spicy for my tastes.i do however love the look of the bottle.

First of all a big ”Thank You” to a dear member that gave me this one as a gift!Iceberg perfume deserves a big entry to my wardrobe! To my nose it smells like pistachio ice cream, which is my favourite! Let me start start out better..The opening is a blast of pink pepper and coriander, after a while I can clearly detect creamy pistachio and a hint of suede. The drydown is all about pistachio ice cream, still creamy and spicy which reminds me of xylocaine that dentists use! Smelling pistachio cream brought me back memories of my childhood,I loved eating pistachio ice cream,I still do!Very well blended with a very good lasting power too!

What I feel the most is coriander & creamy vanilla, – very mild and powdery composition. Soft, smooth, cozy and comforting fragrance with an accord of suede. Longevity is good, 8 hours on my skin.

I’m glad to review this amazing perfume, because it’s one of the most delightful surprises I had in my tour in the world of fragrances.
Two days ago I read about its components, and I was intrigued by them; yesterday I went to the shop to try it on my skin, and I was charmed by its inviting ambiguity… today I run again to the shop to buy it, and now I felt in love with it!
The most strange thing is that the first notes I smell when I splash it on my skin are a bit too dry to my nose: I think it’s due to the presence of coriander and bergamot, wich are not my favorite ingredients. I usually love warm and enveloping fragrances, fresh and citrus notes are not for me.
But after few minutes this perfume begins to exhibit all its deepness and sensual complexity: it doesn’t lose its biting character, but passing through the tasty flavor of pear, it involves you into the provocative, sensual roundness of vanilla and musk, smartly blended with unusual but gourmand ingredients like pistachio ice-cream, almond and red berries.
Moreover, the presence of suede combined with vanilla and all the other components makes me smell additional notes wich are not in the list of ingredients… sometimes I seem to feel the fragrance of finest blond tobaccos, other times the delicious scent of precious wood coated by beeswax… and again other times I seem to smell an intense hypnotic incense.
However, I must say that the presence of vanilla does not give to the fragrance an exceeding sweetness (like in other perfumes)… although vanilla is one of the most important components, it is well balanced by the other notes, which are contrasting and at the same time are valorising it, obtaining a unique, smoky, cool effect.
What really fascinates me of The Iceberg Fragrance is its seductive ambiguity: it has an androgynous character which makes this perfume a very sexy weapon. I don’t mean that this is a fragrance for viragos… I mean that this perfume seems to connect and interweave the two opposite worlds: female and male, warm and fresh, yin and yang, in one harmonoius re-union. And this is very seductive.
I think The Iceberg Fragrance is an amazing, outstanding perfume. I’m definitevely in love with it!

Yum! I have been dying to try this since I first heard of it! Thanks to artsymom for finally giving me a sample. I was afraid it would not live up to the expectations I had. It is no holy grail, but really is delicious.
On me, it starts very harsh and I was worried. Just a little time though, does wonders. It was pretty floral on me for a bit, which surprised me. Then it became creamy and a little sweet (and I generally don’t like sweet, so this isn’t super sweet). I do see why people say ice cream! I get the suede too. So very interesting!
I don’t really like gourmands or much vanilla either. This I like though. I also detect the musk, which I don’t generally like. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure why I’ve been so eager to try it, or why I like it so much… But it’s smooth and creamy and makes me say yum!

Received a new bottle of this yesterday.
First impression – I freakin LOVE the bottle!
Very different in appearance to anything else I have or would usually go for.
It says 70s moneyed glamour to me. Italian?
Now the smell…. after reading all the pistachio/ice-cream reviews, I was ready for something one-note and perhaps a little bland but on opening the bottle I got a whiff of.. aftershave. Not unpleasant though and not a commonplace kind of smell.
I sprayed a little bit on some paper and
