Description

Rose L‘Orange is floral and a slightly sweet scent with a powdery
undertone of vanilla. It contains pure extracts of Rosa centifolia and
Bulgarian Rose Otto mixed with Neroli and Orange Blossoms, that
reveal a fruity nuance and conjure a smile on our face. This very feminine
scent is ideal to use during the day. Rose L’Orange was launched in 2012. The nose behind this fragrance is Tanja Bochnig.

It was a long shot for me, as I am not a fan of rose and I dislike neroli and orange blossom. But I kinda like Rose L’Orange. I felt like wearing a delicious dessert confection. The scent is agreeable and long lasting too. Not for me but I appreciate how these notes interact harmoniously together. Someone compared it to marmalade and I agree, sweet with a sourness. Pretty.

Surprisingly lovely. I detect mostly orange peel mixed with soft rose, a delicious vanilla and a hint of neroli. It’s slightly sweet and somehow very refreshing, calming and cooling. The orange is ripe and also slightly zesty, but the scent becomes creamier as it dries down . I could see this as a bride’s perfume for a simple and intimate backyard wedding on a sunny spring or summer day. While it’s not my usual style of perfume, I think it’s really nice. Longevity is several hours and projection is strong for the first hour, then it becomes more subtle.
Disclosure: I wrote this some time ago. I now stock April Aromatics in my shop at aveparfum.com, but my opinions remain my own

My DH ordered several samples from Luckyscent without my input, not knowing I wasn’t looking for another rose-based perfume to add to my collection. However, I was intrigued by the combination of rose and orange and tested it out.
While I love rose, and preferably very pure at that, the combination with vanilla at the base left me uninspired.
Rose L’Orange gives you just that: in your face roses and orange, the fruit not the blossom. It comes across as too sweet, and as previously stated, I’m not a fan of vanilla in fragrances. The vanilla powdery base is there, overall not for me.
Later I tried another sample he selected: Van Cleef and Arpels’ Bois D’Iris. (I’m just coming to appreciate the VCA Collection Extraordinaire line of fragrances.) While VCA’s Bois D’Iris was so elegant and smooth, it lacked a middle note in my mind.
I decided to layer on Rose L’Orange on top and what a hit! The Bois D’Iris’ deep, smooth base under the notes of rose and orange is just awesome! The rich velvety BDI with its notes of myrrh, ambergris and driftwood were balanced by the floral/sweet notes of rose and orange. Not at all old person fragrance – just very complex and smooth.
While I can never hope to own 2 FB’s of each of these to continue layering, it is such a magical combination. If you have a chance to try the combination I’d love to hear another’s opinion.

It’s like rosewater niroli with mild creamy vanilla. As it calms down and since the rose note is much stronger than the niroli, the niroli (or citrus in general) steps back and sits in the background leaving the creamy vanilla and sharp roses on the front as i can sense the strength and the power of the roses conquering the scene.
If you like the combination of red roses, niroli, and creamy vanilla with natural and super quality blend then this is for you.
My favorites from this house are:
    1+ Calling All Angels
    2+ Precious Woods
3+ Bohemian Spice (specially when it calms down)
    4+ Erdenstern
    5+ Tempted Muse

Agree 100% with sweetnspiceys review. I can’t understand the praise of this very simple composition of essential oils. My initial impression was that it reminded me of a room spray of “primavera”, Germanys main supplier of essential oils. My boyfriends comment on this was “scented candle”. It’s still nice, especially when it dries down and becomes softer, although the Perubalsam is a bit too dominant for my nose. All in all, for this price I definitely expect more. I can get the same thing for a fraction of the price and still all natural.
Rosenlust was a scent I enjoyed much more.

Feminine, sweet uplifting rose and orange blossom and neroli. Neroli and orange blossom smell so pure and bright, reminds me of when I was young and would visit family in Palm Springs for vacation; very nostalgic scent. Very realistic I keep having to smell my wrists again and again. The flower essences used here, as in nature, give the pure and delicate presentations of dewy rose, and do a good job of capturing the brightness in orange blossom and neroli. This is very well balanced and very long lasting for a natural. It is a alluring hint of vanilla in the dry down that has a gentle powdery effect.

This one is one of my favourite so far out of all her incredible scents.
They have certainly raised the bar as far as perfumery goes to me and it doesn’t take a perfume connoisseur to feel the excellence in quality here. It is a fairly linear beauty and so stunning and addictive at that.
It opens a light bright happiness infused orange and orange blossom that shiningly presents the most beautiful bright fresh dewy roses, so exquisitely fresh and real. I love to spray this in my hair and catch wafts of beautiful soft rose and orange throughout the day, the rose soothes the heart, the orange and vanilla, the soul. There is a light ever so delicate fresh vanilla in the drydown that blends harmoniously with the rose. It lasts about 8 hours and remains a close to skin scent for most of that time.
    True botanical perfumery masterpiece.

Absolutely nothing special. The only way I can describe this is a regular rose oil perfume, something you can buy in a health food store for under 20 dollars.
I applied this 3 times on different occasion, and each time my reaction was Blah, very forgettable stuff.

This one brings the summer back into wintery days.
I love rose and organge scents…
I smell the precious neroli, along with deep rose…and sweet vanilla in the dry down.
    Pure, strong and uplifting.
Its not a timid scent…like rossenlust…this one is deep and a bit loud…
As I said summery and warm.

Rose L’Orange is floral and light with a slight powdery undertone of vanilla, without being too sweet or overwhelming. The rose and orange balance the scent perfectly, allowing this perfume to be feminine and womanly. This beautiful scent can be worn either day and night all year long.
Rose L’Orange contains pure extracts of Rosa Centifolia and Rose Otto Bulgaria mixed with Neroli and Orange Blossom flowers giving this perfume an unique citrus ID masterfully blended.
The best thing is that is natural perfume that makes you feel happy and sensual at the same time. Being a man, It is a pleasure having some girl by my side wearing this lovely perfume.
It is another must for all women.
