An odd scent in the top. The rose is there initially with a little sweet/tart fruit and wood then ylang and neroli assert for some floral sweetness then the scent starts to dry out and musk becomes prominent. The powdery violet is there in the backround. I don’t like fruity florals and wouldn’t want a full bottle of this one but I do like it. This house puts out some masterpieces. I just wish they lasted longer.

La Rose Legere opens with a gentle swirl of sweet fruits on a bed of powdery violets and roses and greenery. It’s absolutely charming and feminine with a brightness that simply wakes you up. This is the most beautiful part of the fragrance. It brings to mind a sweet young girl who’s just very gentle and understanding and feminine.
After that brief phase, the projection becomes less pronounced and it seems to lose a bit of its brightness. On me, rose and bergamot becomes a tad more prominent, backed by violet and something a bit bitter a musky. It’s less girly than it was, but still feminine, in a grown-up way.
I enjoyed this very much. I like how it is so wearable and laid back, but somehow manages to exude class. It could have developed a little more, but it didn’t, and the longevity on me was incredibly weak, lasting about 2.5-3 hours before fading entirely.
However, if you like sweet and light floral gourmands, this is definitely worth a shot.

As other scents by LES PARFUMS DE ROSINE “La Rose Legere” is a nice enough rose scent. The opening was strong and a bit soapy, but very soon it settled to a rather sparkling fruity rose. At some point when the scent had an hour to develop I was greeted by some fecal note, but very soon it faded away. No, not the fecal note, the perfume itself. I do get that it’s not supossed to be a power house, but 2 hour staying power is simply a crime.

La Rose Legere is my first foray into the house of Les Parfums de Rosine. Over the years, rose has become one of my favourite notes, and I’ve come to realise during this time that rose has many different facets. It can be sweet, feminine, powdery, lush, tart, rich, oily, dark, sheer, fruity, gourmand, dewy, elegant or casual. And of course, many other things too.
This fragrance, (if I were to pick out any of the descriptions above), would be described as fruity, powdery, casual and sheer. La Rose Legere is not the type of rose that likes to make a bold statement. It’s rather quiet and subdued, only hinting its existence every now and then.
Admittedly, I prefer my scents much stronger, but I did enjoy wearing La Rose Legere for the duration that it lasted. It’s a bit fruitier than what I’m used to, yet the strawberry and black currant accords did compliment the rose nicely.
It opens quite fruity and fresh, smelling ‘rosy’, very pink and sparkling on the skin. The sillage is also rather commendable at this stage. Once La Rose Legere settles, a powdery musk can be detected, smoothing out the composition and transforming the scent into a whisper.
It’s a pleasantly romantic Summer scent to my nose. Something that smells wonderful under hot and humid conditions, yet a little less entertaining on the average day. At times I find it a tad generic and plain, although I do like the way it has been composed.
The rose note is a strong feature in La Rose Legere, yet it doesn’t own the spotlight like I personally think it should. It may be gentle and soft, but that’s no excuse for its lack of lasting power. Once La Rose Legere is all but gone, I am left lusting for so much more.

LA ROSE LEGERE is a lovely rose scent, so gentle, alluring and romantic. The tender and charming violets are combined with the soft and sweet rose petals. I love roses and I love violets, so it is a dream scent for me. The composition is so pretty and delightful to wear especially in summer time.
The scent opens with a nice bergamot and neroli but the violets are apparent to my nose right from the start. They give the opening the tenderness and charm that only violets can bring. The rose is very pretty combined with violets in the heart notes. There is a hint of lily of the valley but the scent is definitely centered on roses and violets. This lovely stage lasts for about an hour and then the scent transforms into a skin scent with a hint of musk. The scent at this time becomes almost undetectable and certainly not interesting. This is the only issue I have with this lovely scent. But since it is Eau Fraiche, perhaps it is meant to be re-applied frequently throughout the day.
My overall score is 7/10. I love the charm of violets and roses in this scent but I wish it lasted a bit longer and the base was more interesting.

Quietly charming rose scent with some interesting depths provided by the base notes. Fresh rather than powdery rose. Very wearable for the rose fragrance fan. 6/10.

La Rose Legere is definitive a Floral fragrance, the Bottle and the liquid are pink, so i thought this would be a very girly scent, but it’s a mature/classic Floral scent.
The Opening is fresh and fizzy i smell the bergamot and the neroli it’s also a bit spicy, then it becomes softer, those roses smells a bit bitter and wild and also light and gentle,i also smell the lily of the valley,it reminds me of a flower garden, really nice to wear but i don’t fall in love, the dry down is the high light in my opinion, it’s really cozy like a roseleaf itself and it has a warm background which comes from the amber and sandalwood. This fragrance is really feminine, and good for all Occasion and all Season, but i expected more from this scent and i think the price is to high for it.
But La Rose Legere is still a nice scent and easy to like and good for flower adorer.
