First review. Thanks to everyone that posts. I read them all of the time and have learned a ton, and have made a lot of blind purchases based on them! (Which is what this was- with no reviews to reference!!)
This is an EDT not available in the states, and I could never find any retailer that would ship it to the states. My wife was traveling abroad and I ordered it and sent it to her destination.
The initial impression that hits you hard is Green Apple and spiced Cardamom. They stay prominent for a good hour. This is not what I would consider a “sweet” fragrance. The apple is very tart, almost like a sour apple candy. The cardamom is such a great compliment to it. I detect some green tea, but not as prominent as the Apple/Cardamom.
Cedar comes out in the dry down, but what I get a ton of is the cedramber. This is the unfortunate part for me. It is a fragrance that I have mistaken for sandalwood over and over. (I was never a fan of sandalwood based soaps or fragrances but what I am finding is that true sandalwood essential oils are spicy, warm and sweet. Cedramber is the ingredient that I apparently am not fond of.)
Because of the rarity of this EDT, (It takes 90 days to create each batch, and the one I got was batch 2. The website is sold out, so are outlets that sell it), I am REALLY trying to like it. We shall see.
I sprayed one spritz on the back of my hand yesterday afternoon, when I woke this morning (15 hours later) the cedramber cardamom smell was still there, Apple non existent.
I would predict longevity a 9 or 10
Sillage: 7-8? It’s a subtle scent unless you are wearing it, then you can smell it on yourself. I read one London online publication that said Redchurch was for introverts and their other ETD Master Jo Jo is for extroverts.
