Description

Infusion collection from Prada began in 2007 with Infusion d’Iris edition. The fragrances of this collection were launched as limited editions. In 2015, Prada returns this collection as permanent. It presents 6 fragrances: the re-launched Infusion d’Iris, Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger from 2009 and Infusion de Vetiver from 2010, and three new editions Infusion d’Iris Cedre, Infusion d’Amande and Infusion d’Oeillet.

Perfumer Daniela (Roche) Andrier collaborated with Miuccia Prada to create this collection of six elegant and sophisticated unisex fragrances. Each fragrance is an interpretation of natural ingredients and the contrast between traditionalism and modernity.

Infusion d’Amande consists of bitter almond, heliotrope, tonka beans, musk and essence of anise.

Incredible. It was one of those rare few that I just had to buy on the spot. Infusion d’Iris is one of my favorite scents and I love almonds so I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised. It is so calming, soothing, relaxing feel-good… like an experience of aromatherapy…

Prada is number one in the powdery fresh scent category, this one is super fresh and clean gourmandish like no other. Its very low key catchy. I like it as a man and my lady agrees. Its more for a woman. This smells sexy and fresh on her.

This smells really pretty… At first. It was like a floral kind of almond at first then it quickly turned into a disgusting powdery mess on my skin. It’s probably just my chemistry. ☹️ Really wanted this to work for me but unfortunately the smell turns unbearable in a matter of minutes.
It lasts long on the skin though.

This is a truly beautiful perfume. I love to mix this with infusion d rose, the result being somewhat of a non sweet poison girl. Prada must use the finest ingredients ever, as they just can’t seem to go wrong

Still on the hunt for my #1 almond.
The almond note in Amande is pretty, but it’s just too powdery for me. In fact, after about 20 minutes it’s just straight ahead baby powder. Not my jam.

    Why, why, why, why?!
It is soft and perfect, but soo faint, it is so close to the skin-
I get that it’s yummy- but Skin please don’t swallow it up before I can catch a proper whiff! That’s selfish!
I don’t know if the tester bottle had turned, but for it’s price I wish it would last a little longer on me.
    A really elegant soft almond.

As an ardent lover of most things Daniela Roche Andrier and Prada, I naturally had to go out of my way to try the new Infusions. Infusion d’Amande (IdA) strikes me as about the half way point between two pillars of the brand: Infusion d’Iris and Candy.
IdA starts with a realistic blast of green almond and sweet musk. As it dries it gets progressively less sweet and more powdery clean. This doesn’t ever really get to gourmand despite the notes. IdA is musky, warm, inoffensive and verges on baby-powderish without smelling like Teint de Neige. Like many Pradas there is a sheerness, a transparency and weightlessness to composition that makes this inherently easy to wear and easy to like. That being said, this isn’t much of a statement maker. I like it, but I don’t need a full bottle.

Perfect pillow scent. Like hugging arms.

Cuddly, sooo cuddly. This is the perfect fragrance to wear to bed on a cold rainy night and snuggle down with a good book, or an even better lover.

The almond is very clear in the top note, but the dry down is Infusion d’Iris + Heliotrope. This is very delicate and soft, but it still has some projection. Long after I think it’s gone, other people can smell it.
I always forget how much I like this one until someone mentions it on the forums. It’s forgettable somehow.

Very much Infusion d’Iris, but with marzipan and soft powder. I REALLY like, even though it’s really not that different from IdI and I normally hate powdery notes. It’s like my beloved IdI in mood mood and feel but softer and more cozy. That being said, it can change depending on probably weather, diet and chemistry, because on some days it develops a hairspray note as well that ruins the cozy comfort. I’ve purchased a mini. We’ll see how fast I go through that before I commit to hunting down a full bottle. I suspect it hasn’t been a huge hit for Prada; for the price, it’s not fantastic and it’s so very similar to Infusion d’Iris that it’s almost redundant, except for the strong powder notes (talc, not baby powder, luckily).

Very similar to Les Nereides Fleur Poudree de Musc, and a posh cousin to the Body Shop’s White Musk, this is a musky, slightly sweaty, powdery vanilla with a 1990s vibe. Cute if a bit done-to-death, Prada could have arguably done better.

I blind-bought this because I like Prada’s soapy-minimalistic fragrance ethos and was also intrigued by the heliotrope note. I’m so glad I picked it up! This one works so well for me. It starts a bit sharp, cold, and powdery, and then quickly dries down to the most wonderful – almost marshmallow-y – dusty sweetness. Not at all candy-sweet or sticky. This is elegant, cool, and cotton-like, completely unisex, super long-lasting but also unobtrusive. I get about eight hours of soft sillage from it and wear it whenever I want to smell starched and freshly-bathed but not perfume-y. Definitely great for the office or all-day professional events.

I bought a tiny little sample bottle of this with another purchase not too long ago. I finally got around to trying it, and I love it! I’m a very big gourmand woman and so anything with edible notes automatically draws my attention. I love almonds, I love almond milk, I love almond pudding and I also love marzipan. So this really was a no-brainer. Also, may I add that the combo of tonka bean and musk can elevate any perfume into ecstasy. They’re another kind of perfume-power couple. I reviewed Tous Bonjour Señorita yesterday and listed passion fruit/coconut as a perfume power-couple as well.
When I first sprayed it on, it was very powdery. Like, as in I got flashbacks two actual baby powder. Which, was not really a bad thing, since it’s a very pleasant smell. Then, about five minutes later once the alcohol had all evaporated, I was left with this very soft and gentle deliciousness on my skin. The almond and the vanilla are just beautiful together. I’m going to say it…I smell like a gourmet amaretto cupcake with marzipan icing…and I’m TOTALLY okay with that.
I highly recommend this perfume if you want something that’s a little bit sweet but not overpowering. If you want a touch of gourmand without ending up with something stronger than you can stomach. I’m going to play around with this one a little bit in try layering it with some of the other ones that I have. I’ll let you know if I come up with some fantastic combos.

This is a truly beautiful perfume. ON me, the almond starts really strong, but then goes to the background during the day. It seems to change/evolve in the course of the day. This is a PERFECT perfume for Fall, but for me, must be used sparingly. For some reason, this DOES last through the day.
Delightfully, I can smell it during the day, and it’s very gentle. I don’t smell the anise as itself, but I think that it tempers out the scent to give a mysterious ambience to the overall atmosphere.
When I wear it, I receive many compliments and I have been told that it has a gentle sweetness- not cheap, as well as a powdery gentleness ( not like baby powder).
As mentioned by Babygia,, I think that the iris balances it out, too. I don’t think of this as a gormonde on me, but more of changing atmosphere. I love it!!!

I thought I reviewed this, but turns out I just talked about it on the forum.
Basically I just want to say that this became my most complimented fragrance, and it is unbelievable.
I purchased it because I love Prada and it has everything I love in a fragrance: Is not sharp, is feminine, not loud but still people notice it.
So very happy with this one. Very classy

You know that almond marzipan note, almost cherry-like and sometimes synthetic? Well, this is none of that.
This almond is green, bitter and inviting; cool and mouthwatering. More than anything I’m reminded of Galliano on ice especially with that bite of spicy anise lending a licorice like edge, but this whole composition is less sweet than a liqueur. Tonka adds a bit of bittersweetness as herbal haylike coumarin.
Infusion d’Amande is aromatic and cool, refreshing but with a sensual heart, contrasted with the smoothness of heliotrope. This is aloof and sexy for either male or female. It reminds me of my old friend Krizia in the white conical bottle but without the vanilla. This, Infusion d’Amande, I do like better. Additionally, as pepperoniann observes, this is reminiscent of an unsweetened Lolita Lempicka.
Like Krizia, this is a little haunting, alien like. It reminds me of the cosmos and quiet in an alluringly sterile way. Minimialist architecture features in the composition of this fortifying tonic.

A very delicate almond, heliotrope, and iris scent, with a cool, frosty quality nicely balanced against powder. The dry down is a clean, white musk with a slight latex-like quality.
Like most of the Infusions, a fairly simple scent, but well made and easy to wear.

Prada’s Infusion d’Amande is a delicate and powdery almond scent which is perfectly unisex and very easy to wear. It shares a few similarities with the original Infusion d’Iris, however it is more nutty and dusty than floral.
I love the scent of almond. It adds a gourmand feel without going overboard with the sweetness. Infusion d’Amande is a very well blended fragrance which is neither overbearing nor synthetic. It reminds me a little of the now discontinued Jour de Fete from L’Artisan Parfumeur.
Although this fragrance has good projection, it settles almost like a creamy skin scent. I found the top notes to be very carefree and powdery, however the drydown was a little richer with spicy anise, musk and tonka bean.
If I happened to own a bottle of Infusion d’Amande I would tend to reach for it most during Autumn or Winter. The almond sits a little too heavy on my skin for me to consider wearing it during the warmer months. The longevity was also superb lasting a full eight hour day on my skin. I even caught subtle wafts of Infusion d’Amande as I had my evening shower.

Love this one for summer. It is very similar to Infusion d’Iris EDP when I first spray it–there must be more notes in common with it than are listed here or on the bottle. This is somewhat sweeter than the Iris, and the almond is powdery like almond flour, and mixes with the powdery heliotrope to make a really clean, bath powder type smell. It projects nicely for a few hours and then becomes a skin scent, where I sprayed it on my skin, but still lingers with sillage on my clothes.

I was curious about the series of Prada Infusion perfumes as I absolutely love the original Prada Iris Infusion and the extrait formula of that as well. However these ones are expensive so before splurging on a full size bottle, I bought a sample vials set that included, this Amande, Fleur d’Orange, Vetiver, Iris Cedre. These are tiny vials, like the already small short vial was only 60% full, so I had to spray sparingly and sniff my arm very often to judge accurately. Amande has a delicate almond contained in a light bergmot background for the top notes. Then the signature powderiness of Iris Infusion comes through and lasts for a while then it warms into a warm skin scent. I love the delicacy and refinement of the almond in that it never becomes gourmand but is a wispy ethereal note on top of the powdery base. I love this but it is very similar to iris infusion in the background all the other ones are too. I feel that people who don’t necessary like Iris infusion or powdery perfumes might not like this as the almonds might not be as dominant as they might like.

This is a brilliant composition. I wasn’t expecting myself to be flattered at all means, but I am sold.
The opening is a cool, unsweetened powder of almond and heliotrope. Like its older sister Iris it’s got an airy quality, making this the opposite of say Shalimar L’Initial, which is dense, sweet, and more “puffy” than “fluffy” per se.
As Amande dries down musk shows up — still not the warm type, but cool, abstract layer of musk that is neither animalic nor vegetal. Just when I think the overall effect is too “cold” as a perfume, the anise note surfaces, and oh my is it lovely. The soft spicy anise note matches perfectly with the musk and allows the powder to quietly land on your skin.
This is a very quiet scent, but it says more than it appears to be. I find it more expressive and complicated than L’Eau d’Hive in terms of development, however you have to notice its whispers.
EDIT: after a day I just realized it smells like unsweetened Lolita Lempicka! That’s what it is.

Lovely, nice, very soft. Someone would say it is feminine, but I wouldn’t.
To me it is genderless because it’s so tender. It’s more like a baby’s scent. The only cont is that it’s sillage is minimale, but the longevity is actually great.
It’s more like a cologne with a perfume longevity. If you dislike almond or amaretto notes you should try it.

    Pretty!
Not earth shattering, which is not what you expect from the infusion series.
It’s a lovely light, almondy/marzipan, nutty woody scent. Slightly powdery, slightly but not too sweet, very gentle and soothing. I like it!
To me it’s the perfume equivalent of goat’s milk soap – gentle, caressing.
It’s not a patch on Infusion d’Iris, which I’ve loved since 2008, but Amande comes in 3rd after Fleurs d’Oranger. I find these excellent daytime, easy to wear scents which have a light elegance, of course it depends on your taste, for some these will seem too light, or lacking distinctiveness (and I would go for something more distinct for evening). I may buy this one too. The only one I haven’t tried is Infusion d’Tubereuse though that seems to be discontinued.
Infusion d’Amande seems vaguely similar in mood and feel to Narciso Poudre or Iris Prima – it has a certain delicacy without being too simple. These elegant slightly retro powdery scents seem to be a trend these days.
Sillage light to moderate, longevity – skin scent if sprayed lightly, though would probably project more if also sprayed on clothes and hair

After reading some reviews I was hoping for a lovely, delicate almond fragrance but instead all I can smell is a lighter version of Infusion d’Iris. I find it a bit soapy and and unisex, quite disappointing.

Fell in love with this as soon as i smelt it.
    Innocent, soft and sweet.
But only after 5 min that initial magic disappeared, and this because a very weak, dry heliotrope.
The scent lingered but was very close to the skin.
Asked my boyfriend to smell it. Unfortunately he thought it smelt like old lady.
Guess ill be passing on this one, the first spray is beautiful, but dry down in not.

    Almond lovers gather ’round!
I got to smell this today and fell in love! It’s not easy coming across almond perfumes and many are very understated. This is a gourmand that is light and not heavy; a gourmand for those who usually do not like edible fragrances and will find this delightfully satisfying. The almond note is very pronounced and slightly bitter like real grounded almonds. It smells powdery, milky, and slightly fresh with a soft floral touch. I don’t find this overly sweet so if you are looking for a candied almond this is not it.
Reminds me of L’Occitane Amande body line and a lot of Guerlain L’Instant Magic except L’InstantMagic is sweeter and more baby powder.
Quite long lasting on my skin. Strong almonds, classy and everyday wear. Must have!

Mmm powdery, almondy and something in there that keeps making me come back for more. Must be the heliotrope note that I haven’t smelt before. Lovely!

Blast of bitter almond at the top, then Infusion d’ iris with a heliotrope note. The family resemblance is so striking! Safe if you love Infusion d’ iris and bitter almond.

Absolutely love this crisp, fresh fragrance, especially in the beginning when the almond is prominent. It has anise and the cool classic Prada Infusion. Softest musk and light spiciness in the dry down. It’s pricey considering it doesn’t last too long and scent remains quite close to the skin but this is definitely a purchase for me in the near future! Gorgeous.

  33. :

I tried this today and really love the scent – smells like warm almond meal or almond cookies. Very cozy and inviting, with the distinct prada quality about it. It does seem to be very much a skin scent and is quite faint after 6 hrs of wear. That would probably be my only hesitation in purchasing this. Would be incredible if the sillage was a touch stronger. Perhaps a good work scent.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

No sillage, no longevity, no nothing. A watery solution with a faint sweet almond smell.
It’s not a bad smell, but why buy or wear a perfume that’s barely perceptible and only for a mere 30 minutes at most. Huge disappointment.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Beatiful, creamy/powdery very sophisticated creation. Very citric fresh sensation at beginning- i guess , the Anise gives this vibe – follows very quick with almond and gorgeous, cotton soft heliotrope. But there is much more, and i know, the creators unveil not exactly whole ” recipe”, just a few key ingredients. But this one has a clear signature of the classic infusion. There is undoubtfully a generous amount of powdery iris too , for sure .
Drop dead gorgeous , gourmandy dragee , but high class Prada quality.
This is soft, whispering fragrance, elegant and cozy, but longevity is- at least on my skin and by almost + 40 celsius really good.
    Worth every penny.
