This is the second Guerlain exclusive that I’ve found completely underwhelming. (The first was Ne M’Oubliez Pas.) The slightly gourmand/vanillic/spicy perfume with prominent heliotrope is identifiably Guerlain (that powder!) and perfectly pleasant, but has been done better — with more richness, vivacity and greater performance — by Patricia de Nicolai in Kiss Me Intense.
As Guerlain is now, price is no guide to quality, not that it ever really is with perfume, but especially not in Guerlain’s case. I have older Aqua Allegorias that I enjoy wearing more than this. Wasser’s revamped Mitsouko is both better and much less expensive than this. I’m not going to bother even sampling Guerlain exclusives in the future unless more effort goes into the juice.
Verdict: all bottle, no juice.
