Description
Primaverde is the latest collection by the house of L`Erbolario, presented in spring 2011. The new line is encouraging, refreshing and energetic, and is perfect for spring days thanks to its attractive aromas.
Fans of EDPs and perfumed body care products will be thrilled by the new collection inspired by green primrose. The composition encompasses fresh and green nuances along with fruity and floral notes. The fragrance was created of fruity notes of lemon, bergamot, papaya, peach and magnolia.
Floral balance to fruit zests is provided by lily of the valley, rose petals, primrose and freesia. A base adds amber and musk.
The Primaverde collection offers 50 ml EDP, solid perfume, shower gel and body cream.

I brought this home from Florence for my mother a few years ago. It’s Spring and Summer fresh, with some lovely freesia, grassy notes and citrus. Peaceful, dew on a morning lawn. She’s always been a green-lover and a fan of monster longevity and sillage (cough-cough). She applied this so heavily every day that it was empty sooner than I would have liked. I know she liked it, but I also suspect it just wasn’t “strong enough” for her. If you like a noisy scent that announces your arrival, this isn’t for you!

Smells like chlorophyll and spring: crushed grass and freshly-cut daffodils.
For some reason, the scent´s long and complex pyramid turns in a disarmingly simple scent, which I´d describe as delicate, slightly acidic, and very “green”.
L´Erbolario´s Frescaessenza, in comparison, is sweeter and less grassy.
If you don´t find “green” notes or simplicity charming in a fragrance, I´d say it´s not going to be your best choice.
Surely, it´s not a fragrance meant (or marketed) to feel edgy or sensuous.

This to me is spring in a bottle. So gentle, green and delicate. A light sweetness for a feminine touch. Lovely to wear as a pick me up, around the house, in the office, inoffensive and light, it’s impossible to keep be in a bad mood with this splash of joy around.

Fresco ma gentile, non acido e nemmeno frizzante, è un profumo piacevole, anche se non fa per me. Se non ricordo male, ha una certa somiglianza con un profumo blasonato che andava molto di moda quando ero al liceo, e che ora credo sia fuori produzione: Tendre Poison di Dior 🙂

I didn’t particularly like this one. It had an acidic smell on my skin, and I felt it lacked character.

lovely springy fragrance. i bought it right after trying it on me in the shop. it makes me feel fresh and cheerful – and young! – and it lacks the sweetness that often overwhelms me in most perfumes of this kind.

The smell of early spring flowers and it all blended with apple, lime and all those fruits. Primaverde is very nice, a bit green just like the bottle. Somehow it lacks distinctiveness. I would call it floral fruity green, there is no sweetness in it.

I tested on a paper strip and I would have never guessed that it could have so many notes. It seemed fresh and green but linear.
Not sweet enough for my tastes. Next time I’ll try it on my skin.

A nice green and summery fragrance,it smells of apple, lemon and rose, but not of mango, papaya or other tropical fruits. So, no tropical, actually more herbal than fruity, similar to many other summer fragrances but still worth trying since it’s quite cheap. Not for me, but definitely for many who are more into green “splashes”.

A nice fragrance for spring and summer, floral, fresh and clean. Not my type, but if you like perfumes as Pleasures Estée Lauder or Happy Clinique, this is for you! Cheap and longlasting!
