Description

Pleasures is a rich bouquet of fresh flowers after the rain, which is designed to suit “every woman in every season and at every moment”. It is a delightful sheer floral created from delicate lilies and peonies, elegant jasmine and exotic Karo-Karounde blossoms, all tingling with the rare essence of exotic Baie Rose. Pleasures reflects a modern woman’s desire to experience life’s little pleasures every day.
The perfume was created by noses from Firmenich in 1995. Pleasures was created by Annie Buzantian and Alberto Morillas.

What a wonderful bouquet of flowers this perfume is.
I have had this original Pleasures continuously since it first came out about 15 years ago, and I still love it.
Sillage is very good, plus the longevity is about 8-12 hours.
It is floral and romantic with bursts of roses and peonies – just like walking into a florist’s shop.
I can recommend this to anyone who loves a genuine floral fragrance.
I will keep buying it, and I hope they never stop making it.

In what looks like a simple bottle of perfume, the goddess of love is hidden, a flowery meadow crossed by a stream of soft, crystalline water. A couple who hugs, caresses and gently kisses. She: Pale face and divine features. He: Proud and self-confident. Caress it with a lily before kissing it again, again and again. Smiles, intense looks and sensuality. All this is Pleasures.
P.S. Sometimes it recalls Acqua di Giò for women (1995)

Celery seed and soap! It’s a perfect kitchen with chopped herbs but no onion, and fresh tea towels but no bleach. It’s floral without a speck of sweetness. The epitome of 90s bland chic? Maybe, but it’s new to me, and I like it.

I use Pleasures since at least 15 years now. I always get compliments on it.
    I love love love it.
Thank you Estee Lauder for one of the best fragrances in this world.

i used to wear Pleasures like ten years ago and thought it was elegant and fresh,i bought it again a few months ago and omg..terrible!To me it smells just like dry flowers potpourri an old lady would put in her drawers, gave it away to a friend, never again

Pleasures is powerful and lasting. It opens with sharp florals like lilies and lily of the valley. Both flowers can be a bit much, especially when combined.
On me the notes don’t change much, Pleasures remains a strongly artificial floral perfume. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s definitely different from the EL scents I’ve used so far.
My favorites are Youth Dew and Cinnabar, so it’s no surprise Pleasures would puzzle me … I’ll try it out a little longer, maybe I can learn to love it.

Pleasures is a perfume that takes you to away to an enchanted meadow of white flowers. It’s the most genuine floral scent I’ve ever tried and is best suited for women twenty and above. It’s light, airy, fresh and wonderfully feminine.

It smelled so fresh and sweet on my friend with beautiful lily-of-the-valley…But it turned bitter and powdery on me with overpowering lilac :((

The names fits the fragrance. A melody of all florals white, purple, red all dancing togetheron a bed of green garden. Pure perfection, don’t overspray it!

To appreciate this fragrance, you have to understand that back in 1995, it blazed a trail and started a trend that continues to this day (which is why Pleasures now smells so generic and uninspired to many people). A perfume that smelled clear, sparkling, and immaculately clean from top to base? That was revolutionary at the time. Pleasures burst onto a scene previously dominated by heavy-hitters like Giorgio, Angel, Amarige, and Tresor and left everyone speechless.
When Pleasures came out I was a struggling young adult working for a small magazine, and none of us could afford a bottle. One day, someone got a sample from the perfume
counter and wore it. As she sashayed down the hall (in her ‘90s brown pantsuit and blocky heels, of course) we all went, “Wow! Smells like the best bubble bath EVER!”
I promptly became obsessed with the stuff, and I do still have a bottle
In my collection that gets regular use. Pleasures is shimmering, soapy, rain-drenched flower petals. It is not the slightest bit sweet— which is exactly the point. I don’t love it as much as I once did, but it is a wonderful olfactory palate-cleanser to wear now & again when you tire of sweet or spicy fragrances. It is my husband’s favorite on me but I find it too boring for everyday wear.
If you purchase this, I recommend a small bottle, kept in the fridge at all times. The juice is fragile and yellows quickly, lending an unwelcome weedy/pissy note. The juice should be perfectly clear when you purchase it.

this is my mom’s ultimate favorite perfume. But i really hate it because the floral scent is way too strong that i sometimes feel nauseous

This perfume was given to me as a gift. Unfortunately it didn’t work for me. Too sweet, strong smell of flowers but most of all, this perfume reminds me of old ladies perfume. Nothing against old ladies of course, Iran just that I find this perfume too overwhelming.
If you’re into fresh fragrances like me (DG light blue, bvlgari Omnia Crystalline, Creed virgin island water, CK ONE kind of vibe…) just RUN AWAY from this perfume.

I want to hate this bloody fragrance, with its insipid name, widespread popularity and uninspired bottle… and yet, it is the closest I’ve come to a signature.
Every time I pick it up (which isn’t often, given the aforesaid hatred), I am struck by the wet, crispness of its beauty. It really does smell like what you imagine fresh rain on a field of Jasmine should smell like. No cloying sugar, no overpowering cacophony of flowers, just pure white elegance.
My favorite thing about it is that it is so chemical – its harsh and slightly startling, contradicting its name and curves, and I like that. Maybe if it was called Pain and came in a square bottle I wouldn’t have relegated it to my top shelf.
    Damn annoyingly perfect juice.

Pleasures is a bouquet of predominantly white flowers. It’s high pitched like white pigeons soaring in air, with pigeon whistles. I cannot clearly tell apart many of the notes. I get lily of the valley and lilac. It’s dewy fresh, perfect for daytime wear, and sophisticated enough for a dressy event at night. The sillage is soft on me, or perhaps I’m anosmatic to it. It’s a beautiful scent, but does not stand out amongst others in the same category.

  15. :

Lovely middle and end stage, but the opening is a bit much. Oddly enough Pleasures is slightly evocative of Silver Mountain Water- like they’re distant cousins or something. Pronounced florals with an interesting aquatic mineral backdrop.
It’s… okay. And I can see how it garnered its popularity; it’s quite distinct. But the opening is too challenging for me. Too scratchy screechy. If this was gifted to me I’d take it and make use of it. But there are too many goodies you can purchase for the same price that are much better.

The most scent i get asked about when i wear it. Fresh, classic & all time safe to use.

  17. :

    3 out of 5

The dry down of Pleasures which is present on those scented sample cards that still come in Ulta sale magazines is quite nice, but I can’t tolerate the opening long enough to get to that point on my skin (total scrubber). It’s too sharp, screechy, green (I blame the LOTV and other vague ‘green’ notes for this part) and peppery (I blame the pink pepper for this part) for me to enjoy. If those three notes were to disappear from this, it would actually be a pleasure for me to wear it…

I blind bought this about a year ago when I just started getting into perfumes. It was stupid because it is nothing like the fragrances I typically love (oriental vanillas, florientals). Honestly I only bought it because a character in a book I read wore this as her signature.
Anyhow! When I first tried it my initial reaction was “boring!” and I put it away in my drawer. I have now just recently started a new job beside school and this is actually perfect for it. Very inoffensive (once it settles!!) and beautifully blended. It’s a clean and neutral fragrance, nothing I’d wear when I want to make a statement. I wasn’t around for the 90’s but this smell very much 90’s-like to me. It does hold up though but I don’t think it could have been released today with the same success as it had in ’95.
LOTV, lilac and rose are very strong notes on me. I usually can’t stand patchouli but I don’t even detect it in this scent even though it’s listed on here which makes me happy. The opening is kind of screechy and loud but that seems to be a theme with these floral, green scents on me. Give it half an hour at least before you judge it. Not a safe blind buy in my opinion but it’s available in most stores to sample.

Sorry, but it is a dislike for me.
To my nose, this feels like a sharp cleaning agent or laundry detergent.
If I can’t get rid of it, I might try it out as a room spray, but wearing it on my wrist simply annoys me and is starting to give me a headache.

Clean, dewy, pleasant. One of the ultimate spring florals. This is a classic. It’s more complex than it seems, and is very well balanced. Lots of LOTV and peony and lilac, but not screechy or too soapy smelling, just lovely.

Every review and interpretation seems different and I think it’s because there is so much going on in this floral! I find it also takes a long while to dry down on my skin and weaves an interesting story while it gets there! For me it’s hard at times to pinpoint the exact notes I’m smelling as they dance around together. It to me smells like a garden of many types of Spring flowers – sunny, fresh and bright. The green notes are quite strong and balance out the sweetness, while also giving it a natural (rather than artificial) floral accord. It’s like I’ve rubbed a bouquet on myself. The two notes my nose consistently picks up on most in this are strong lily and lilac, both in the realistic sense (I have one growing in abundance in my garden and another frequently in my home for comparison). I also get some lily-of-the-Valley (not as strong for me as for other reviewers perhaps) and true geranium (different!), and the occasional waft of another rich, honey-like floral that I cannot place or name. I very much like Pleasures and have worn and owned it on and off since the early 2000s. It’s not quite as lovely as I remember it, but I do think it’s one of the most enjoyable and complex florals I’ve tried.

I imagine the Great french pianist Elisabeth Sombart wearing this ecxquisite perfume! It is as if you listen the Spring Waltz of Chopen while you smell the beautiful simple notes of it.It is very happy perfume. To me it represent a mix of simplicity, romance, beauty, art, literature, classical music, all in one. Is a noble simple, clean scent.Very very beautiful perfume!

I had to change my review on this fragrance, since I suffered through a 3 day long migraine after wearing Pleasures. It was truly an awful experience. I had to throw this one away, something in the formulation is toxic to me. I am wary of continuing my fragrance hobby! Guess I’ll stick to what I know and love for now.

I quite like this! On me: hyacinth, crushed peony and faint sour-ish fruit? Decent sillage and longevity for a soft floral. Dries down to a sunny skin scent. This reminds me of what I remember of the original 1970s Tatiana (which IMO bears ZERO similarity to current version).

This is a very lovely scent. I feel like its watered down now though. I used this years ago & it lasted all day. Now Im barely getting 4 hours out of it. I was a little disappointing because a few years ago 1 spray & this would go all day. I also feel like the sillage isnt what it used to be. I literally have to lift my shirt up or lean down to smell it. Its lovely & nostalgic but I wont be rebuying with this preformance.

Initially I purchased intense pleasures years ago. I wore it for a year then got tired of it. I still like to smell it here and there but I think smelling mostly peony and Lilly was a bit too much for me.
So then I purchased Pleasures and what a difference! It is light, floral and feminine. Definitely they Lilly is not overpowering. . You can wear it to work if sprayed lightly. It has a nice longetiviry.
I think it is one of the few perfumes I can wear regardless of the season.
Smelled it recently on my friend and it just brought all the memories back so will have to purchase it again, soon.
This is a good floral perfume for those who like EA 5th Ave, J’adore CD or Hermes D’Jour Absolu.

I have been wearing Pleasures this spring. It so perfectly matches the season. Pleasures has great longevity, modest silage, and a lovely evolution throughout the day. It starts out bright, dewy and fresh, with lily-of-the-valley and green notes prominent. By noon, the other florals have warmed it up and rounded it out, made it fuller and richer. By late afternoon, I catch wafts of the gorgeous woody, musky base, which is skin scent but much better, warmer, and sexier. The arc of Pleasure’s development really mirrors a lovely spring day, starting out chilly, gradually warming up, and ending with a peaceful dusk. It’s enlivening when you need to wake up, peaceful when you are winding down. Love it and love Alberto Morillas, who is a genius.

This perfume is, for me, suitable for both young adults and adults. As in, it doesn’t remind you of an older person. It smells of fresh florals and like another reviewer said, green grasses and flowerbeds.
I love this perfume for its fresh floral scent, I love that its smell is not too overbearing and strong, they’re elegant, subtle and ladylike. Staying power is also quite amazing in my opinion.

I don’t like it on me, but love to smell it on others
First time I smelled it, it was on a very hot summer day, on lovely lady that visit my house that day. I have to ask her which perfume she was wearing because there was like a cloud of bouquet with rain all over her.
    It was really nice.
But on me musk is dominant, I can’t not smell bouquet or rain just musk and something bitter. It’s ok scent on me but others can pull it of way wayyyy better than I can which is sad, I like that smell on the lovely lady a lot.
though most people might say everyone can wear Pleasures but I could not agree, yes Pleasures suit a lots of people but not everyone

You cant not like this. Its so delicate, feminine and fresh. I smlled it at the pharmacy when purchasing another estee lauder perfume and was very suprised. It smells like freshly washed bed sheets with a little dkny be delicious. Treated myself to it for the spring as it fits perfect :)!

  34. :

    4 out of 5

Pleasures is deceptively simple and just gorgeous. It starts out with a green note that is sharp in a way that makes your nose pleasantly wrinkle, and then it becomes the most realistic rendition of fresh cut grass and dewy florals I have ever smelled in a fragrance.
This perfume, while rather popular, is not a crowd-pleaser; you wear it for yourself and feel the cleanest and freshest you will ever be.

Finally, I smelled it good in Poland. In the beginning it was deligtfully floral. Then I noticed that it smells lily-of-the-valley in result, but good enough. Few days ago I smelled it good in Moscow, not fake for sure, but it was so lily-of-the-valley… Almost like Diorissimo by Dior. So now I don’t want it. But I’m in love with the first impression in Poland. Maybe I will try it again, if I come to EU next time.

I love this perfume, even though it doesn’t suit my body chemistry. My mother wore this exclusively from the year it was released til the day she died. She left behind a nearly full bottle of Pleasures that I’ve inherited. I spray it on one of her scarves or blankets whenever I miss her, it’s almost like getting a hug from her. Just a brief inhalation suffuses me with a liftime’s worth of memories. That bottle will always have a spot ony dresser. This perfume has a big floral nose to it. As someone mentioned, a bride’s bouquet is the perfect analogy for it. It’s fresh and sexy in an effortless way. Great for spring and summer. Day or night scent. I wish it didn’t smell sharp and too harsh on me, otherwise I’d wear it. This perfume is ageless to me, could be worn by the very young and the old.

Beautiful nuptial bouquet, romantic and feminine.
    A “catch-all” fragrance for women.
Seductive but not as sensuous as the name “Pleasures” implies.

I totally scored the eau de parfum version of this and Oscar de la renta at a thrift store today and I’m so happy! I wore this to prom in 1997 but I can see a young lady wearing this because it was for special occasions then. This can be a bit screeching (I think it’s the lily), so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this as a blind buy– although, it doesn’t last long on me, so it could be safe enough, if you find a good deal on it.
I smell the freesia and “green” in this. Siliage and longevity is so-so and I consider it a “safe” day time perfume.

this is very green sharp floral with some herbal bitterness like an oakmoss, sweetens in the drydown, lily and peony supported by sandalwood, cedar and patch that make it deeper and not too sweet; wearing the vintage

There’s some kind of bottled, giddy delight in this fragrance for me. Is it something to do with memories from childhood and my teen years? Possibly. My Mother didn’t wear this but being out in 1995, it had to be swirling around when my world was new and exciting.
To my nose, “Pleasures” is basically a soapwater, dewy grass and fizzy strawberry soda kind of scent, yet despite these things it also gives off a nocturnal air for me, almost like cooled but not crisp, dewy greens as if on a Summer’s night. There’s a sweet, generic lily of the valley blended with rose mix at the heart of “Pleasures” that sounds boring but is surprisingly fresh and Elvin. It smells like dewy blooms and green grass and thickets of trees dewy from the night, being warmed by a bright, morning sun or cooled after a warm day. Or perhaps temporarily cooled by an impromtu rainshower. A warm gray day? All these things make sense with this scent. There’s even a hint of stone that could be either wet or hot, whatever it takes to kick up some of that mineral scent. You notice it in “Pleasures” and I wonder if that’s meant to evoke the ashiness of violet.
The sweetness of the rose keeps the LOTV in check and balances the spare waxiness of the flower. The peony is creamy but sweet, without the usual chill fresh peony notes bring to a fragrance. “Pleasures” stays fresh but pretty warm throughout. A soft, fibery peppery hum gives “Pleasures” some depth as it dries down.
The overall impression is sweet-water, soapy water, sunny fields of wildflowers and grass and while that sounds pretty dull on paper, there’s a familiarity and optimism to this scent that seems to transcend its simplicity. Something cozy and carnal is tucked in there and it either brings you to a happy evening out in your teens or even further back in the subconscious, to a happy childhood day outdoors that started with sunlight peeking through tree leaves and around big, blue morning glories and ended with fireflies and starry skies. A warm day barely cooled by evening? I guess that makes sense. It does when you wear “Pleasures.”
That’s a lot to put on the shoulders of a fragrance in the simplest of packaging, that could be classified as a grassy-soapy floral, but “Pleasures” is a lot sturdier than she looks and when you wear this blend for period of time, you’ll know what I mean. The complexity of feeling it prompts will surprise you.

Let me describe this beauty in a simple way. I can place this scent between the heavy fresh Dior pure poison & the fresh Paul Smith rose. This is a middle fresh version between the two which i find so friendly to wear in office & a day time outing. Gives me the feeling of walking on rain kissed grass.

  42. :

I got a hold of a more vintage bottle…the fluid has a light golden tone…not clear like the modern ones.
This is a BEAUTIFUL Lily of the Valley BOMB. If you like LOTV – you need this.
Smells a LOT like Evelyn & Crabtrees LOTV that is now discontinued.
This is a very high quality frag!
    Good for a blind buy!

Pleasures is a floral olfactory masterpiece, lovely, lovely, lovely. It could easily be my signature fragrance but it only lasts a couple hours before it fades and so is rather pricey for the amount of longevity you get. One bottle only lasted me about three months of daily use. If I had unlimited funds I would only have 3 fragrances in my wardrobe and this would be one of them.

I really dont understand dislikes for this masterpeace! It is one the most beutiful perfume that makes me smile when I smell it! I had this when this was brand new to the market. I enjoyed this for a brief time back then, it was fresh and clean and crisp smelling. But something about this, after a few hours, kind of got up in my nose in a sharp way. Pity, because the first few hours, this was always absolutely delightful. But I could never wear this all day. Always had to shower this off after a few hours. I seem to have that problem with a lot of Lauder fragrances, I can only tolerate a lot of them for a few hours before they go sour on me or just smell bad on me. Again, it is a pity, because this is lovely and so fresh and clean smelling, aspects I love in a fragrance, and Lauder does have some lovely fragrances. Just doesn’t not mesh well with my skin chemistry for very long. I did keep this back then, because I did enjoy it greatly for a few hours. But I never repurchased.

Very very sharp! A lot is going on in this fragrance ,all the florals can be a bit too much and very suffocating !
However these florals are all very fresh and crisp ,really nice summery scent in that sense

I have mixed feelings with Pleasures because it smells synthetic but it is a fresh fragrance, very clean. It annoys me a little bit as well because is cloying. It combines very well in different occasions and performance is good.

Too sour, too off putting to my nose. Sorry, but this is a stone cold NO for me.

  52. :

Pleasures really suits my skin chemistry. I can smell it on myself hours after applying it which I love. When I wear Pleasures I feel like a walking bouquet of spring flowers, jasmine, hyacinth, roses, lillies (not sure if all these notes are in the perfume). The only downside or complaint I have is that the scent is so recognisable. Close friends have asked me if I’m wearing Pleasures, so in that regard it’s not a unique scent.. I do love wearing it in the Spring and summer months during the day.

  53. :

Aptly named, Pleasures is a timeless scent. Released in 1995, yet it doesn’t smell like it is stuck in a time capsule the way most of my other past favorites do. A beautiful, feminine floral that never fails to garner compliments. My husband loves this on me! Elegant, lovely, and romantic. If I were forced to choose a signature scent, this just might be the one, though I do try to conserve my bottle and tend to use only for Mass and other outings as I spend more time at home than not.

  54. :

A clean, cold, sophisticated fragrance. When I wear a formal dress this is one of the perfumes I gravitate towards. It’s just the kind of perfume that commands you wear it with a beautiful sophisticated outfit. I get lilly and rose when I smell this. It’s the kind of scent that is best worn on a cold day or when in an air-conditioned room. It reminds me of getting out from a nice long shower and stepping into my air-conditioned hotel room then getting under the covers. It makes you feel very fresh and clean yet with an air of maturity and sophistication. Young girls today might not appreciate it when sniffed straight out of the bottle as people nowadays prefer scents that smell like candy. It’s the kind of perfume that needs to be smelled on another person for one to be able to appreciate its potential. All in all this is a fragrance that a well to do woman in an elegant shift dress would wear.

This is very lovely and always gets me in a good mood. It is playful, breezy and dewy. A clean, flowery scent that is neither boring (like so many other flower scents out there), nor screechy, but very flattering and super feminine. Perfect for a picnic or a stroll through a meadow, barefoot and in a summer dress that caresses your ankles gently with every step you take.

  56. :

Pleasures is a pretty Bouquet of wild flowers with a gentle spring breeze. Sometimes it can be a bit screechy, but that is probably just my nose cause I don’t typically like Lilly of the valley. i still feel like it is relevant to modern day even though it was designed back in the 90s.

My first perfume that I always have on my perfume table and will love forever. This is what a pure femininity is like to me – tender, light, blossoming, playful and clean… Pleasures is a scent of thousands of fresh white and rosy flower petals flying with the wind… Smells like spring, joy and being in love… Not a heavy floral scent, but soft and delicate. Men love it and women ask for the name of it )

I do not have much to add other than I side with the positive reviews. It’s very clean and very pretty. A little on the synthetic side but that’s the draw for me. I’m 39 and have been wearing it off and on since I was a teenager, so I can see anyone of any age wearing this. Good for work. Moderate projection and sillage. Lasts between 6-8 hours on me, depending on what I’m doing.

This is a big girl’s perfüme. Yes. It’s a floral. But, IMHO I don’t get any particular flower note. It Smells sophisticated, Grown Up, and clean.
If you don’t want to smell like a Starbucks snack, or an Easter basket. You do want to smell like a woman, clean, classy and floral.
This just may be for you.

Pleasures is a green floral for spring and summer. It’s pretty enough to wear any time, but the fragrance recalls bursting blooms and cool breezes. The lily gives it a slight buttery quality after it warms up on the skin. One can pick out all the flowers listed in the notes here, they are that realistic.
    Opening: Lily of the valley.
Heart: Peonies and other soapy flowers such as lilacs.
Base: Buttery flowers and fresh air.
There’s enough of a base to keep this from being a body spray, but even on the dry down it’s all about the flowers – flowers and sun-dried sheets. Pleasures has a soapy, fresh-air quality. Like other scents by Alberto Morillas, it combines synthetics and naturals masterfully. Pleasures is a classic. Unfortunately, many today expect perfume to smell like a caramel mocha desert. Pleasures is not gourmand at all. (Could we all stop thinking about food and coffee for, like, five minutes?)
Very safe as a gift, except that everyone has smelled this and most people have worn it at least once.

I wore Pleasures many years ago, when I was younger…btw it’s beyond me why so many people think Estee fragrance line is for older women…All of us older women were once younger & Estee was making perfume for us!
To get to the chase, I was seeking a signature fragrance for my 19 year old daughter & thought of how she would tell me I smelled so good when she was 3 & 4 years old, while I wore Pleasures…
I purchased Pleasures new formulation & was so sad for it was like i just sprayed bug spray by a brand trying to make it smell better!
I noted the color was light…My original pleasures had some color to the juice and substance (almost a bit oily) … I took note not only the color was like pure water , the new one was an EDP spray and I always had the parfum dab on…
The original parfum I used was gorgeous…, lasted till the next day…The opening was a natural green scent with a bit of rose ( freshly cut), with tons of other flowers rushing into the mix…hours later on the dry down, after seeming to reach a peak of a bouquet of many different flower notes, one could faintly pick out…it settle to a whole complete scent , with the slightest note of very light sandlewood to hold the bouquet of flowers, which smelled like spring time at it’s best! The silage was fantastic…Many compliments came my way!Projection and long lasting, but never offending in any situation.
Needless to say, with the new formulation , I could not even let my daughter wear it! I have saved many a frag by layering and there just was no hope to cover up that bug spray scent in the spray bottle of pleasures bought for my daughter…
I just pulled out my safely kept mini of the original and put some on her as she is taking a test and want her to feel good…
I don’t see how anyone would like the new pleasures edp if they all smell as the one we just experienced…Yet the true original parfum was beautiful, just lovely…I would suggest anyone first trying Pleasures should seek out the original & hope it was well kept! Mine is still stunning after all these years! I even mixed it with beyond paradise & had 24 hours of pure bliss!Reality did not exist combining the two floral scents….I was taken away to an Island beyond paradise…
I love Estee Lauder frags…I have only seen them ruined by standards changing on what is allowed or not ,etc…or… by not being stored properly! All in all the original Pleasures is an excellently made frag and pleasant to be around!

I have had my mini bottle since the mid 90s. I never reach for it because it has always been a total scrubber on me. I am bound and determined to use things in my wardrobe so I brought it back out now in hopes that I might be able to appreciate it now that my nose is better trained.
On my skin it is bitter and metallic. It took over 2 hours to be bearable. I do not find it soapy but my husband declared it to “smell like a big block of white soap.” The first time I could place pleasant florals was as it was fading away.
I fear my mini is destined to be a linen spray

Pretty fresh floral. Very nice for everyday, not season specific (even thou it is marketed as a summer scent). Feminine, kind of delicate, and not complex.

Awful, blinding, screechy white floral – very harsh and unpleasant for about two hours, then finally dried down to something bearable, reminiscent of Eau Serge Lutens but with a nasty note at the back. Not for me, this one.

I bought half a 50ml bottle of this to try it, to see what everyone seemed to be raving about….
I still can’t find out, because even though its nice enough, it’s mediocre at best. I find the first blast quite nice, but the moment is fleeting, and on me – longevity is 4 hours with most of that time a skin scent. I am pleased I didn’t pay top dollar for this, and also pleased that I only have a 25ml of it, it will most likely find it’s way into a box with my next perfume swap. I was hoping to find Peony in this but it evades me, and all I get is bitterness. I don’t hate it , and it’s not offensive, because like I said I like the initial blast, but very soon afterwards it’s gone, just like my interest in it.
