Beautifully blended, smooth and unusual. Such a poetic name, Pleasant Promenade. Burning leaves, as mentioned by cloyd42, do come to mind. PP is woody, resinous, fruity (olive is a fruit of course, as well as the pear) a nice touch of cloves, honey, and just so… calming.
Total blind buy for me, and I’m extremely happy with this fragrance. Sillage is moderate, and it seems to be pretty long-lasting. It reminds me a bit of Dior Mitzah, but is more subtle, and prettier.
The bottle is gorgous – very heavy, looks like crystal, and is faceted in a way that reminds me of honeycomb. Pleasant Promenade is a rich, elegant scent for cool weather.

I tried this with a great deal of skepticism since I have not gotten along with an S Poncet scent to date, but I’ve fallen in love with this one. The combination of notes has turned into the loveliest almost sweet incense or, if you’re old enough to remember this, the smell of maple leaves burning in the fall. I can’t really pick out any of the fruit but that may account for the underlying sweetness.
Sillage: personal
Longevity: 3 hours so far
Fabulosity: a white cashmere sweater
Value to price ratio: reasonable
8/10

Stinky and woody. Smelss like something that was made 100 years ago. Not even worth trying it. If you are prone to headaches this will give you a big one.

This is an unusual composition.
To me it smells like autumn forest, pear and dry fruits. There is much more going on here that I can’t quite put my finger on it.
There is something very Earthy about this fragrance.

I bought this blind after sampling and loving Eau Eternelle. I have been wearing it over the last 4 days, and each time it’s a little bit different. Sometimes the pear note is very strong in the beginning, sometimes it’s faint, and sometimes it’s like a spicy pear (when the cloves come in ). Sometimes the pear note doesn’t come in until the middle. In any case, the pear note doesn’t overwhelm the fragrance–I would definitely NOT classify this as a “fruity” fragrance, but more earthy/woody. I get strong leafy/woody/resinous notes, as well as the olive note (which, as the previous reviewer stated, is very interesting). The olive is only strong for a little bit on me, and then it kind of fades into the background. The fragrance dries down into a lovely warm musk with hints of the sandalwood and amber.
Overall, this scent is still growing on me, and I like the fact that it surprises me every time. It is definitely different, that is for sure. Its overall vibe for me is like walking through the woods after it’s just rained, either in a pear orchard or while drinking a spiced pear cider. The scent lasts a long time and also layers well with sweet scents that are vanilla- or chocolate-based.
Due to its changing nature, natural beauty, high quality, and complexity, this scent is definitely a winner!
