Description

In May, Chanel launches Les Eaux De Chanel, a new line of three Eaux de Toilette (Paris – Deauville, Paris – Biarritz, Paris – Venise. The line is named after travels and ties between Gabriel Chanel and certain cities during her career and offer „a sense of freshness that is as emotional as the memory of a journey“. The creations are all signed by perfumer Olivier Polge.

In 1915. Gabrielle Chanel discovered Biarritz. This haven of peace by the sea immediately captivates with its simultaneously sporty and sophisticated atmosphere. She chooses this place to open her first couture house in a villa opposite the casino: the elegant yet comfortable lines attract an international clientele and mark the birth of CHANEL. PARIS-BIARRITZ captures the dynamism and freedom of this founding city like a breath of fresh air.

Paris – Biarritz is announced as an exeptionaly fresh and vivacious scent inspired by the energy of the Basque coast. The fragrance contains sparkling fruity notes of Sicilian tangerine and lily of the valley.

It is available as a 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

Paris – Biarritz was launched in 2018.

The fragrance is very nice but it smells just like Chanel Eau De Cologne to me. I like Chanel Eau De Cologne very much but I don’t understand why Chanel would create another fragrance that smells just like something that they already have. I’m wearing it right now and it seems to last a long time but I had a different idea in my mind of what I thought it would smell like. I don’t dislike it, but I didn’t swoon when I put it on.

Neroli, musk and some soft woody notes. Yes this is just nice cologne for hot summer days. Nothing more.

    citrus-neroli-strong white musk.
    just nice.

In the several times I have worn it, I have enjoyed the scent, however, on me, it can have an odd under-scent. Not sure what it is but maybe it is not for me. Shame because I like the concept of the scent.

Chanel is really being light with these latest offerings. Biarritz has potential for me, but like Deauville that I tested, this one also fleets from my skin in less than half an hour. I do like this one over Deauville. But I can’t pick up many distinctive notes here, I pick up a soft musk and perhaps the citrus also. This to me is a comforting type scent. Too bad the sillage and longevity are not there at all, at least not for me. I would say test these new ones if possible before plunking down your coins, unless you really like super-soft sillage and maybe don’t mind having to possible reapply every half hour. The more I smell this, this smells like a very faint Clinique Happy to me. *shrug*…Sort of like what the blouse that had leftover remnants of Clinique Happy on it, smells like on laundry day. *shrug*

I just got a sample of Biarritz and Deauville with my Chanel order. Deauville is actually my favorite of the two. Biarritz is really nice and fresh, but it is very fleeting. When it dries down on me, it feels like a combination of Chanel Chance eau Fraiche and eau Vive. I already have and enjoy Chance eau Fraiche, so I guess I don’t need Biarritz. I have to say that Deauville is really growing on me. I can’t put my finger on what it smells like, but it will come to me eventually.

My least favorite from that line, but still a good fragrance. Fresh, citrusy, even a little bit bitter.
Slightly floral and very light in general.
It is good, but not that outstanding and elegant smelling as the other two. More suitable for spring, so maybe I’m just not drawn to it right now.
Still, worth a try in my opinion.

Nice scent. Very light but very appealing. I like soft light scents and this one fits

I went to the SCP boutique to get Boy Chanel and checked out this one too. I used the store’s testers to spray both on the back of both hands just to see how they dry down on my skin. I’m surprised at the comments that both have zero longevity because they stayed with me even after I got home some hours later. Nevertheless, I got them both and have no buyer’s remorse at all.

Sillage is 0 minutes. I haven’t met a perfume which disappears that quickly before, I would name it Vanish instead. Scent itself is gorgeous but it doesn’t help since it does not stay at all.

I found these at Nordstrom today. I was surprised because I thought they were exclusive to the boutiques. I do remember though that when the les exclusifs line was launched some of the Nordstrom stores and Neiman’s carried them & some still do. Anyway, they are apparently for sale at Nordstrom on Sept. 1. I did a quick sniff and this one was by far my favorite. Just a beautiful eau de cologne (and much, much better to me than the les exclusifs cologne). I wish I had tried it on but I can imagine it’s pretty fleeting. I believe there are body products for this line-shower gel & lotion-being sold in France.

I love the soapy mustiness of the drydown. It almost smells like a high quality, well travelled briefcase or Dopp kit. My favorite of the line, regardless of its poor longevity. I’ll just enjoy it privately.

This is such a lovely fragrance, but honestly the staying power is just so weak. My second favourite from the three Les Eaux and possibly would have been the first favourite, if the staying power was better. And yes, I do agree this one I see as unisex one, of course depends on how it would develop on the different skin chemistries.

I tried all three of the new Eaux at the Chanel boutique today, and this is my favourite. Juicy citrus with a beautiful light lily of the valley accord and crunchy greens. Sadly, it has weak projection and tenacity. I’ll stick with Aqua Universalis for my green, clean citrusy fix.

Paris Biarritz is a nice citrusy scent, rather unisex, bright nice lemon, but it doesn’t last long, and doesn’t open much..for the price , this is rather simplistic, you can find similar for a lot less, like the Dolce Gabbana light blue Italian zest offers the same freshness, and is longer lasting for a lot less money..i hardly get all the notes, no lily of the valley, no musk..it is like an unfinished creation almost !? Polge didn’t do great on Les Eaux in my opinion.

I just bought this perfume from the CDG Paris airport, I must say it just does not have any logevity. As soon as I put it it wears off. I am disappointed Chanel would produce a scent that disappears as soon as you put it on, although the composition is beautiful.

Nothing compares to an early morning spent at the seaside, especially if you´re into observing the sea and its waves. Paris – Biarritz evokes this kind of experience – it´s like vivid, bright & clear waves of fresh cologne, you can enjoy a refreshing blend of grapefruit and mandarine juice, smooth lily of the valley & white musk. Classic yet modern.

This is a very nice EDT…on my list it’s so soft and very femme..

If I were to choose a lemon zest scent to accompany me through the next few years it would be this, or Allure Homme Sport Cologne. AHSC seems to exude 90s spirit and embodies the perfect European man. Biarritz goes a bit more to the fields of any given land. Summer time, but it’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. I feel as though this is a coastal town surrounded by fields of flowers and grass. It goes a bit powdery, too, which is very lovely. This definitely seems more Olivier than Venise, but both seem to portray his view of Chanel’s youth and history quite well. I don’t think this is a bad thing, despite the puzzlement I felt from Gabrielle (cold, but not in the typical Chanel way). I think this is a glorious take on the traditional EdC, and will perhaps make it’s way onto my ‘want’ list.
