This doesnt smell like I thought it would. I dont get any blackberry. Its very pretty but its mostly a musky floral on me a lot like Jessica Simpsons Vintage bloom. Its very pretty & I like it.

I’m not a fan of the Playboy image but this bottle captivated me so I bought a 1 ounce bottle on eBay for less than 5 dollars. What a steal. Amazing fragrance. Very sexy. Fruity. A tad powdery. I immediately smelled ripe peach. A peach you bite into on a hot sunny day and the juice runs down your lips…I also smell a hint of BlackBerry and lemon. Its a delicate scent. It would be a great spring and summer smell. The bottle is just too cute. I’m so impressed by this fragrance. Its very feline and powerful. Lusty but in a dignified way. I’ll be buying all of the Playboy perfumes you can’t go wrong if the rest smell just as juicy and sexy.
Rest in peace to Hugh Hefner.

strongly synthetical, so strong as the smell goes in my throat and makes it raspy. I can’t use it even as a toilet scent perfume, it is that horrible. It gives me headache and I haven’t never smell anything like this bad!
I truly hate this… Throw it to the trash can.
Can’t really say any good word of this. Maybe I been scammed with fake, but who want makes fake with this cheap parfume…

This is actually decent for the price range. It’s the only Playboy I like. Despite the name, I find it sexy rather than lovely. It’s a decent choice for teenagers and those who just want to smell nice without paying much at all. It smells more expensive than it is.

I had high hopes for this one after reading quite a few positive reviews. Welp, let’s begin with the good.
This perfume could be a very inexpensive dupe for Light Blue.It doesn’t smell cheap or synthetic, and it has an ozonic, fresh and clean vibe to it. I get citrus and ozonic notes more than anything else.
The bad: I have to keep smelling my wrist in order to notice it after 5 minutes of spraying. I’m going to try the deodorant spray version to see if it has better staying power.
This scent is great if you need to freshen up or wear something light and inoffensive for work. Clean and fresh, not overly sweet or flirty.

I’m describing body mist, not perfume.
Delicate, transitory smell. It refreshes but does not smell long, does not last long, up to half an hour.
For hot weather as a refresh I recommend. As a fragrance not necessarily.

I bought this for 3.99 at b&m bargains. . I have several playboy fragrances already and this one really is lovely. On me it’s a lovely warm citrusy amber. Good in warm weather

A bad dupe of Nina (the red apple), lasts all of 40 minutes with minimum sillage. For a much better perfume in the same line try Avon’s Ultra Sexy which has a 5 to 6 hour longevity with moderate sillage. I have never bought another Playboy scent.

This is probably my least favorite of these scents. Yes it smells lovely. A very generic fruity white floral. Not a whole lot going on. I wish these scents weren’t quite as cheaply made as they are.

  10. :

I bought the bigger bottle of this on a whim. I reach for this quite often when I go out, since the smell itself is moderate and suitable for night and day.
I agree that there is quite a lot of alcohol in this, which turns me off in a perfume. I believe this is why I don’t smell everything note-by-note ; as all I can pick up is pear and orchid. Which are notes I don’t usually reach for in a perfume, but then again it was a blind buy.
Surprisingly, this works on my skin despite sounding so overly sweet.
One spray of this lasts about an hour for me.

im really surprised at how nice this perfume is. I never would have thought playboy make such good perfume. It really cheep too, i was able to get 4 one ounce bottles for 15 bucks thats 4 ounces for less then 20 $. You cant beat that. To me this just has very feminine, perfumey sweet smell. Its not the most original scent in the world but its nice to have apart of my collection,

It’s a light scent and I was amazed that I went for it. I’m one for stronger scents and when I wore this everyone seemed to love it! (myself included) It lasted all day and did not give me a headache the first few weeks of wearing it. 10/10

I agree with Fabulista, it IS really strong to my nose. I like to spray it in the air and walk through it for a more subtle effect.
I love the initial fruitiness, but the drydown is too heavy on me. It is kind of nice, but I’m trying to use it up so I can allow myself to buy something else 🙂
I don’t really regret buying it, but I don’t think I’ll try another Playboy-fragrance. The drydown (is it the tonka bean? Or the amber?) is just too overpowering for my taste.

I saw it at Priceline for $6 while testing others so I decided to give it a try. I loved the smell so on impulse, I bought it.
I’m wearing it now and honestly I find it sickening. (I sound so negative omg but it is SO strong and too old for me..)
I’ve learnt my lesson for sure! Try it and leave it on your skin so you get the full scent before you buy it. Fortunately, it was only $6.

I was looking for a light everyday fragrance and bought this blind because of the good reviews – I usually wear Cool Water or Acqua di Gioia.
If this is the ‘lightest’ of the Playboy scents, the others must make it hard to breathe! I found this very heavy and cloying, like one of the old powerhouse perfumes of the 80’s. To me it has an initial blast of a peachy note but the follow-up is heavy and sandalwoody. It’s like Tresor mixed with Obsession with the strength and catches-in-your-throat quality of Agent Provocateur. It’s the kind of perfume you wouldn’t want to be sat next to on a train.
It’s way too heavy and old-fashioned for me and my 19 year old daughter who is into celebrity fruity perfumes hates it too. Maybe someone more into heady scents would like it, but it’s definitely more suited to the bedroom than the boardroom!
Lasted 3-4 hours at full strength then quickly fades into something vaguely like newly polished wood. Bottle is cute though, but the hard plastic bunny ears are surprisingly pointy and make it a bit tricky to remove the lid… first time I’ve ever had to open a perfume by tugging on a slippery pair of ears!

I tested this today together with Play it Sexy and this one definitely has my preference! It’s pleasant, innocent, clean and light. Just the right amount of sweetness and not too heavy. The citrus is not overbearing either. This would work amazing in warm weather.
The flowers and fruits are blended nicely and not a single note overpowers. The tonka bean, patchouli and tuberose don’t exist to my nose, but I’m okay with that. This is more of a skin scent to me, though it does travel away from the skin for the first two hours of wearing it. Longevity is good for a perfume in this price-range, somewhere between 7 to 8 hours.
I I ever run out of easy, carefree, pleasant summer scents I might just get me a bottle of Play it Lovely.

  17. :

The price and the bottle seem to be targeting for teens but I just don’t like the idea of giving a ‘playboy’ perfume to any teenagers – 🙁
But besides all that this is great – lasts long enough,
    light and refreshing flowery smell.
I have this image of girls in early 20s playing tennis or field hockey – both sexy and lovely, but nothing cheap and tacky.

Saw it at Walmart, smelled it out of curiosity and tossed it in my basket because it smelled soft, warm, cuddly, sexy and spicy (and stays that way on my skin) and it was less than ten bucks. Not some ground-breaking scent to be sure and it fades fast, but while it’s there it’s actually well, lovely.

  19. :

I saw a tester of this on a stand in Sears and sniffed it because the bottle was adorable. It smelled so pretty! I didn’t buy it right then because I was Christmas shopping and I had no extra money, but I ended up getting it as a Christmas gift from a friend. It almost smells unisex. I also smelled Play it Sexy and Play it Spicy and both were a little intense for me. I didn’t spray them on me, I only smelled the spray in the air, so those two might be different on skin. But Play it Lovely is one of my favorites. I wear a lot of different perfume, but this one is closest to being my signature. The best part is that you can wear it all year. I like the Playboy brand in general, but even if you don’t, I recommend giving this a try. It’s very inexpensive for the good quality, so even if you don’t care for it, the price is more than reasonable.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

    Very diverse reviews!
I’m on the fans’ side…Christmas shopping in Walmart, I smelled a “LOVELY” scent coming from the perfume isle. I stood and sprayed every bottle until I found it! Yay, Play It Lovely was the one! I couldn’t begin to identify the notes…nothing was obvious, which added to its allure. It’s simply a soft, gentle, slightly soapy fresh aqua cloud of scent. Way too delicate to be a man’s fragrance.
Who cares if it’s Playboy or a cheap bottle? I will call it “Lovely” when I get compliments on my perfume…no need to go into detail unless it’s a friend asking about it 😉
Update: This one changes a lot over time! After wearing it a whole day, I see why the reviews are so mixed. The first hour is how I described it above…then it DOES lapse into a more patchouli dominated spicy mix. NOT what I hoped for, patchouli is something I avoid! The ending is back to softness, but very weak…a spicy Love’s Baby Soft, just before disappearing completely. Sigh.

I admit it-I was prejudiced and all set to sneer at this one and write it off as a cheap fruity sweetie tacky bottled mess. I take it all back. Its actually quite pleasant. Its not as sweet as I was expecting, and not as fruity as the notes suggest. I found it a little spicy, and the fruit notes are a nice mix of citrus and sweet apples (which I got instead of pear). Its not complex or multifaceted or full of evolving layers of esoteric notes, but its a pleasant, wearable scent. Its summery and happy, and not at all sexy or slutty. Its very light and doesn’t last long though, but its a nice little everyday scent. I still think the bottle is horrible though! Its got a shiny plasticky lid with black rubbery rabbit ears…

  22. :

    5 out of 5

This is spicier than the notes suggest. This is quite long lasting on my skin. I will review this again when my actual body is clean. For now though. I am impressed with the fragrances from this range. Tacky flacon’s and all. Cheers T.

Whoever said this smells just like Nina by Nina Ricci is 100% accurate. And I hate both of them. 🙁 I just get this old lady spicy powder mess of a perfume. It’s sharp and masculine too. Absolutely no individual notes. It’s not fruity or sweet. Or lovely for that matter. 🙁
I have Rock, which makes me sick (the patchouli) and Sexy- which is ok…. wearable at least.
To Be Woman by Police is supposed to be very much like Nina, however I don’t mind that one.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

I find it bizarre that three reviewers here, almost in a row, have described Play It Lovely as being masculine and more like a man’s scent than a woman’s. How VERY strange!
To me, Play It Lovely is most definitely NOT masculine, but it’s VERY feminine. I was a bit wary of trying any of the Playboy fragrances, thinking they’d smell a bit cheap and tacky but I first smelled this in the body spray form and was so impressed that I then immediately decided to buy it in the perfume too and I’m so happy I did. It’s soft, delicate, sweet, a little fruity / floral, quite clean smelling and just downright very likeable. Thankfully I don’t detect the patchouli, which is a note I hate! It lasts on me for hours, which is a happy surprise given its price point, and lingers subtly and invitingly.
This has become one of my ‘go to’ fragrances in recent weeks and I’ll definitely be buying another bottle when I run out, or before as a back-up.
I can only assume that the people who have said it smells masculine, or that it changes on the skin after awhile and starts to smell not very nice, have skin that turns this perfume that way for some reason! It seems to me from reading the other reviews that most people like this perfume, find it to be very feminine and are as happy with their bottle of it as I am with mine!
Oh, I’ve also tried both Play It Spicy and Play It Sexy and, in my opinion, they’re not as good as this one!

Smells defenitly like a mans perfume :/ not lovely on my skin.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

This line is sold cheap and it smells synthetical but not badsmelling. It actually smell same with many mainstream. If you’re on abudget and still want to smell nice consider these ones.
Out of all the Play it Playboy bunny, I like Lovely more, because it doesn’t try harder than it can.
Spicy, Vip, Rock, Sexy are a little bit too ambitious and they end up smelling too candy fake spice.
Lovely is more into its tracks. It’s a lovely play.
It’s so generic that it could be confused with tons of fruity florals out there.
Pear? Yes, but into the mix. No real note comes out distinctively. Nothing original.
Think of a typical floral blend with some non-descriptive fruit. It could be anything. I’m sure it smells like something sold for a much bigger price.
It stays floral and fruity and thanksgod never go sticky sweet on my skin. The delicately powdery drydown is interesting.
Also duration is average. Not a bad one for the price.

this isnt lovely! its fresh and spicy in my opininon. i cant wear it because it smells like a perfume for men:/ i had expected something fruity and floral and FEMININE. nono

  29. :

    5 out of 5

I get mainly pear, then some berries & orchids, plus some warm amber and just a touch of citrus to uplift a bit. I find it very sweet without being sugary. Sometimes it seams more warm and soft and then it will seem a touch more sharper, like the amber/tonka beans and the citrus are nicely taking turns. Sillage is a bit above skin and lasts 3-4 hours on my skin.
Play it spicy is my favorite of this line, but this could be my second.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

Play it Lovely is more floral than fruity, in my opinion. Which is nice in this genre because usually it is the opposite. Like others, I don’t make out much in individual notes, but I like it. It is lovely and soothing in a way and would not mind adding it to my collection at a bargain price because of lasting power. I picture this on a shy, demure young woman in a pretty sun dress.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Smells peachy and pleasant. Not at all what I was expecting….. in a good way!

  32. :

    4 out of 5

A fizzy raspberry peach. Funny, but it smells like a dupe I have of Burberry Weekend. It does have a “deodorizer” aspect to it, but it’s complex and pretty, still.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

Once I looked past the Playboy aspect, I actually ended up liking this one. The description as fruity, sweet, white floral, citrus, fresh, pretty much does seem to sum it up. It may not last too long but it still gives me a bit of a feminine, playful feel when I spray it. It’s nothing overbearing. I like spraying some on me right after I get out of the shower because it has a bit of a clean smell to it. I like it and will continue to use it and buy it again.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

Yea I really can NOT smell the listed notes at all, except citrus and some florals. This is the nicest, easiest to wear of the line (VIP being 2nd I’d say). It’s not ‘trashy’ haha, c’mon it’s perfume guys… but it does have typical alcohol dry down genericness about it. Something inexpensive, and that’s how it smells. Just ok but boys seem to like it enough, if they’re close enough to smell it after drydown.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Play It Lovely By Playboy Is A Ok Perfume Its Not My Favourite Its Abit Too Bitter For Me I Prefere Play It Rock And Play It Pin Up Both Also By Playboy. But I Love The Bottle Its Cute Like All The Playboy Bottles Are. I’m Not Saying I Hate The Smell I Do Like It But Its Bitter I Prefere Sweet Smells.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

WAUW!!! One of my top favorites! Just PERFECT!!!

  37. :

    5 out of 5

To me and my husband, this smells delicious. It smells very jam-like, like sugary raspberries. Obviously this is a good smell, but I usually gravitate something more complex and substantial. This is good for a romantic interlude, my heart likes it, but it does not love it. It fades fast too, a major pet peeve of mine…..

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Playboy perfumes aren’t bad at all in my opinion. I enjoyed using this during summer. For winter and fall and also spring, I use Lolita Lempicka which costs quite some more. And I don’t like spending much money on a summer perfume as I live in a quite cold country, we barely have ‘summer’. I recommend it to everyone who likes a sweet, floral scent that stays fairly long without paying too much!

  39. :

    5 out of 5

At first I was sceptical, I didn’t really want to tell people I was wearing playboy but it’s actually very nice. Not top sweet, quite powdery and peachy. It lasts long and is a good price I give it a seven out of ten x

This surprise me a lot, I thought it was going to be like another generic fragance… but it smells expensive, fruity, sweet and the bottle is kinda cute.
En Argentina lo venden en Jumbo a buen precio 😉

  41. :

Mew.Kitty…It is actually not a jewel but just a shimmery round sticker…At least, that is what is on my bottle. 🙂
Anyhow, I actually love every single perfume in the Playboy line. They smell expensive, cost little and are in adorable bottles! I surprised myself!

  42. :

Just bought a 30 ml marked down to $5 I’ve only had it on a few minutes, but so far it smells really good. My bottle doesn’t look like this one though. Mine is clear and doesn’t have a jewel on the side. Was the one pictured limited edition?

  43. :

This is actually pretty nice, but very masculine smelling to me. Great for winter!

Not super great, but not bad either.I guess I feel a bit different than some of the others.I feel it is sorta strong.I like a delicate scent.I found play it lovely a bit strong. It stayed with me all day.But the scent is quite nice. For the price it is quite nice and the bottle is super cute.I didn’t smell any fruit at all.More like florals.I would buy it again.

I was kinda dismayed when my boyfriend bought me the set of Playboy fragrances last Christmas. I was expecting something cheap and/or cloying.
Playboy Sexy and Playboy Spicy kind of lived up to that (on me at least), but Playboy Lovely was worth the whole package.
While the other two were way too strong for me, Playboy Lovely smells very delicate and floral with just a hint of mellow spices. And it stays on me! The lasting power is at least six hours, which for me is an eternity!
The best part is that my boyfriend loves it!

  46. :

    3 out of 5

I really liked Play It Sexy, but this one vanishes before I even manage to get out of the house. There’s not even time enough to figure out this scent before it disappears, it’s really a shame.
If this only was stronger, it would definitely be one of my better fragrances. It’s classy in a classic way, opens with a slight of citrus, but is mainly just smooth and slightly dry flowers with creamy wood. The beige quilted package describes this scent perfectly.

everyone love me wearing this. <3

  48. :

    3 out of 5

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical when I saw these little bottles in my Kmart around Christmas last year. Given the brand, I expected them to smell cheap and trashy, kind of like what you’d expect from a brand that markets nude magazines. I was actually quite surprised. Play It Lovely isn’t really anything mindblowing or unique. To me, it just comes off as your standard fruity floral. Pretty and unoffensive. The lasting power isn’t that great either, maybe 1-2 hours on my skin, but that could just be me. I bought a gift set with all 3 for about $10 after Christmas, and I do have to say, they are decent for the price at which I purchased them. I tend to put this one on if I know I want to wear perfume but I don’t know what to wear.

Lovely perfume! smell like peachs on a warm summer day, good for spring or summer, lasting power isn’t great (1 hour give or take) but still lovely for the price 🙂

I’m surprised at the notes of this one, and a little confused, as people are saying play it spicy smells like amor amor, but i am finding this one smells exactly like amor amor.
I am getting sweet vanilla red berries and some rose. Actually a very nice fragrance, even if it is a dupe.

I have buy this accidently when i was strooling at Watsons, after smell and smell i choose this “Play it lovely” at first i think of this would be my casual fragrance as i reserve the expensive for special moment. But now it become one of my reserved fragrance. The sweet smell has capture my heart and it have a lovely bunny shape bottle. For me it quite lasting or maybe i spray a lot and most of all it not smell cheap, and the price are very affordable.

  53. :

Just bought this today, and love it! Everyone is different, but it sure seems to stick to me for awhile, unlike some of the comments claiming it has no lasting power. I don’t smell alcohol or think it smells cheap. Smells soft and sweet and delicious! I like it better than some of my more expensive perfumes!

  54. :

    3 out of 5

I agree reviews with the lasting power of this, there is NONE. The 10 minutes I could smell it on my wrist, it seemed nice, nothing spectular, but then it was gone. Disappointing.

  55. :

    5 out of 5

I received a bottle of this for Christmas last year and I really liked it. It’s light and sweet with a slightly spicy edge. This is really unoffensive and all my friends thought I smelt great. They couldn’t believe it was Playboy! To be honest it’s not a scent I’d repurchase because it isn’t anything special but it was pleasant enough when I had it.

  56. :

    5 out of 5

I bought this out of curiosity , after picking up the Playboy New York thinking it was for women – it was only $10.00 – almost took it back but later that day I mentioned my mistake and asked my boyfriend he would want to put some on just for the hell of it. My god it smells so good on him ! On him it’s so sexy and absolutely delicious – I admit I was surprised that this smelled this good, not cheap or obnoxious like I find alot of men’s colognes and fragrances – even alot of the high dollar ones out there I could care less for.
So I thought this time I would get my self the Playboy for women right this time – Play It Lovely out of the three they have for ladies. I immediately loved the sweet peachy scent, it’s creamy and soft . The citrus is gentle but bright , the berries add to the sweet femininity of this perfume . Amber is one of my most favorite scents so I can’t deny this is a yummy sexy perfume. It does not smell cheap at all, at least to me , my only complaint is that it has no power to it , I don’t see why the people that developed this couldn’t of made it a little stronger , surely it can’t cost them that much to do so, there are other ‘drugstore’ perfumes out there that have staying power along with smelling great. Play It Lovely may not stand out amongst the myriad of perfumes out there but that doesn’t make that a bad thing if you have it; if only they would of made this stronger, I think this could of been a fantastic scent.

  57. :

    5 out of 5

Cheap drugstore scent. After 30 minutes the smell is just like a cheap aftershave to me.

  58. :

    5 out of 5

Bought this blind at my local drug store and was pleasantly surprised. This fragrance is cheap price wise($12 on sale), however I don’t think that it smells cheap at all. It’s a fruity floral that warms up. But then again depending on individual chemistry it could dry different on you. Good if you can wear sweet vanilla scents! I really like it and I thought the bottle was cute.

  59. :

    3 out of 5

This is a sweet and light scent. I see it only for young girls who don’t want to go wrong. It’s a bit like a showergel scent or so.

  60. :

    4 out of 5

Smells good, and reminds me a lot of Flowerbomb. Sadly, it doesn’t last very long at all. I reckon it’s an okay cheaper “dupe” of Flowerbomb.

Smells good when it soaks in on my skin for about 15 minutes then it just fades away. Full of alcohol too. That is all I smelled when I tried it. Not impressed… 🙁

  65. :

    4 out of 5

When testing this one the last week or so, I tried it twice. And both times it started light sweet… indeed it was “Lovely”. I was actually very suprised… I don’t want to be cliche’ but I thought being a Playboy fragrance it might be cheap or trashy.
It is a good fragrance for the low price point I will say that. And initially with the opening notes I absolutely fell in love with it! The only problem is that these fresh and wonderful notes fade very quickly.. and within a short period of time turns into a completely different scent all together. Not just a floral.. but a stale and yucky one. IT became kind of musky on me after a while and I had to go wash it off within 1/2 an hour to an hour. 🙁 I was so sad. It was awful. What I first loved, I hated it. No getting around it. It really distracted me from my work so I really had to go wash it off pronto! ugh 🙁 awful. I even tried it twice in case I was wrong the first time. 🙁
Sighs.. oh well. 🙂 I guess you get what you pay for? For $18.00 I am not sure how high quality I can expect? Especially for a fragrance that is brand new. It is a very low price. It certainly smelled worse than cheap. 🙁
I did, however, really enjoy “Play it Spicy”. I will have to test that one again though to make sure I really like it. You never know. 🙂 A Beautiful Fragrance at a Bargain price is a rare thing. Not sure if I should hold my breath though. 🙂 ~ A girl can hope.

The opening reminds me of Nina Ricci Nina, but the difference that this Playboy is sexier and matured than the girlish Nina, and surprisingly more sophisticated too.
The top notes clearly detectables and dominants.
If I could choose the name of the triology I would name this one Sexy because it is more sexier than the official Playboy Play it Sexy, which I don’t like much.
This is the best among the line. I love the design too (cute bunny on the shelf).

Lovely is soft and light on me.. It is perfect for when I am going out to do some grocery shopping or something and don’t want to waste my nicer perfumes.. It is one of my go to scents for dress down casual days. It is like a pretty floral body spray, just one that is actually nice! BTW, has anyone else noticed that the colors of the Lovely and the Spicy are switched on the pictures above? The Lovely is the light pink color and the Spicy has the darker pink/orange tint to it.. Just an observation.. It could be confusing to some since the bottles dont actually say their name on them..

As for the Sexy version Lovely smells like an intense deospray from supermarket but more polished. This one is more gentle, floral and longlasting, but honestly I can’t smell the listed notes!

    Inspired by Light Blue.
In middle notes it gets sharp & bitter.
    Lasts 5+ hours.
