I thought for once that this fragrance in here smells exactly like the current “Phul Nana” but it just doesn’t at all!!! i am shocked now of what i am sniffing! now i can completely say that i can smell INDIA which is the real idea behind this fragrance! It is full of spices, an overdosed spiciness unlike the sticky orange blossoms of the current version when it settles! i can sense nutmeg at MAX, bits of cumin, hints of curcuma (tumeric), black pepper powder, opoponax, cinnamon, & cloves. I can’t detect that much of the orange blossoms, or the neroli like the ones in the current version and it must be the age of this blend as citrus notes vanishes easily and quite fast compared to other notes.
The perfume version of the current formula could be a tiny bit near this old formula because of it’s thickness but in general i can’t see that much of similarities and as well i can’t deny that both fragrances (the current formula and this old formula) are the same! both has the Grossmith stamp.
It’s all because of a dear fragrantica friend who gave me the chance to have a sniff of this fragrance. Thank you plenty 🙂
