Not an exact dupe but so very close. It’s like a fraternal twin, so very alike in scent but not in note composition. I’ve been on the hunt for this perfume for quite some time only to find theres a US Zara store that sells this at a reasonable price. It has that beautiful rich dark coffee tone that blends with the delicious white chocolate so perfectly. I love spraying this to lift my spirits up. It’s so damn yummy but not overly gourmand and sickly sweet. Even though it’s a unashamed copy of Black Opium, it’s still a unique scent that I’m extremely happy to have in my collection. I really don’t mind it, not everyone wants to spend a lot to smell and feel good.

There is a BETTER dead ringer for Black Opium at WalMart. It’s by Premiere Editions and it’s $8.99 !

When this came onto the fragrantica website as new perfume I was hoping I could find it soon.
This last weekend I was walking in the Zara and had no intention on buying something. But when I took a look at the perfume section and saw this one after all this time of searching I could not let this one pass me.
Happy I got it in my collection. It is sweet, it is gourmand and last a pretty good 4-6 hours on my skin.
For Euro 17,95 the 100 ml edp great value.
The drydown is soft and powdery. The first hours are my favorite the sweet scent is so jummy.
I can say this Zara perfume is a safe buy when you like sweet scents like YSL Black Opium, LVEB and Flower Bomb. And for this price it’s a bargain for what you get.

Top notes are reminescent indeed of some sweet patchouli and coffee fragrances out there. After a few minutes it settles down to a musky powdery scent, very syntetic and headache inducing in my opinion.
All Zara perfumes are very decieving in my opinion, never buy their perfumes based on top notes first impressions. They are made to smell like your favourite perfumes, but once they dry down they all smell the same: musky, powdery, syntetic patchouly sweet mess.
I personally do not enjoy it too much but if you are into musky scents this might be for you.

Quite nice. This is a dead ringer for Black Opium. It’s deep, rich, and creamy, but definitely not foody thanks to the jasmine (and patch?…even though it doesn’t appear to be listed in the notes), so I would not classify it as a gourmand for those hoping it would be. Lasts and lasts and is quite powerful in terms of sillage. I’ll be getting rid of my bottle of Black Opium since this does the job for me at a fraction of the price.
