Description

Prada Amber Pour Homme is the first Prada fragrance, launched after the female one, also in oriental composition based upon amber. The perfumer Daniela Roche-Andrier created the composition in four basic accords : Amber – the main accord, rich and complex oriental base which includes amber, vanilla, labdanum, Tonka and patchouli; Fougere – or the aromatic accord with a remarkable soapy note, includes notes of pelargonium, vetiver, orange blossom and myrrh at the heart; Cologne – the refreshing citrusy top of bergamot, mandarin, neroli and cardamom; Leather – leather note is present at the base of the composition ( leather, saffron and sandalwood). Miuccia Prada, the granddaughter of the founder, who turned grandfather’s leather goods design into a large company, personally took part in creating of this perfume. “”I just tried to imagine what I would like if I were a man.” Maybe due to the fact that it was created by a female hand, the fragrance is not aggressive at all, like it might have been expected from an oriental fragrance with leather and amber. Instead, it is very elegant and masculine gentle. Prada Amber Pour Homme (Prada Man) was created by Daniela (Roche) Andrier and Miuccia Prada.

The perfect scent for feeling clean, fresh and well-grooming. The others said everything about this juice. It smells like a luxury soap, clean, cold, minimalist, simple but amazing, basic, easy to wear, unisex. You can always find a reason to use Prada Amber PH. I think if someone a perfume lover, he/she must own one Prada fragrance at least in the collection. I love Prada perfumes, except their performance on my skin.
    Scent 10/10
    Sillage 7/10
    Longevity 6/10

@orangecloud your description hits the mark perfectly. Its powdery, purple haze that comforts. I wanted L’homme over this, but this one came up on a great deal. I do prefer l’homme to this one for powdery safe work scents, but there is just something so soothing about this fragrance that fits the “home in a rainstorm” sort of vibe. Its a wonderful fragrance, and I’ll definitely get another bottle when this one is done

Like a sea wanting ships this scent floats above morning powder clouds. Sweet purple dew, silent, beautiful wanting. It makes me feel like I am floating in a most peculiar way. This is how I imagine wet Angels would smell while drying under a violet alien sun.

An earthy, soft, leather-like saffron. Myrrh adds a little balsamic sweetness. A bit of vanilla; a hint of florals and musk. Clean, soapy, powdery, amber. As many have said this smells like a luxury bar soap.
Sillage and projection felt average but longevity was decent becoming soft after six hours. PAPH is for the autumn and spring. Not especially sexy but it has a cosy, clean vibe going on. Unisex leaning feminine and just fine for work. I like this release from Prada quite a bit. It is safe and pretty mass appealing but not generic. The notes used aren’t as common in mainstream male perfumery keeping it interesting. Reasonably priced, natural smelling and I think the bottle looks cool. Excellent eau de toilette!

A few years back i tested this at the mall and was surprised at how much it smelled just like infusion d’homme (which I owned) and thought wow it’s infusion rebottled with a different color/ super soapy opening. I passed on it.

I like to blend this with Mugler cologne… Mega refreshingly elegant luxurious…luxuriously casual…worthy of wearing this anywhere anytime…

I can offer no real proof, but Amber has been reformulated (at least) once. I wore this for years between 2006 and 2016. Went through several bottles. I’m wearing Prada L’homme these days, but I recently bought a new bottle of Amber (directly from Prada’s westsite) and I could tell immediatley that it’s been neutered. Less projection, less longevity, less Sillage. Performance overall cut nearly in half. Why? I suppose to push people towards the newer fragrances or to save a buck since sales aren’t what they used to be on Amber. It is truly heartbreaking though.

One of Pradas’ best. This was back in the day when fresh soapy scents were cool, this is a pioneer of it.

Very beautiful fragrance, haven’t smelled anything quite like it. All the notes are so well blended that it’s hard to separate them, they just combine flawlessly to create the aha!-moment. But if I were to try, I would say that I can distinguish some sweet citruses, myrrh, cardamom, and quite a lot of soap.
The soapiness is not fresh by any means and has a distinctive retro touch, but that is not to say that it’s rough or abrasive. It is old, but pleasantly smooth, blending in with the vanilla and well-behaved leather in the background, which function as auxiliary notes, meaning that the whole impression is neither particularly “sweet” nor “leathery”. Very difficult to describe…
Actually, there is one fragrance that has similar characteristics, Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa. But Colonia Intensa doesn’t come off as soapy and is not as memorable as Prada Amber.
It is a calm, confident and happy scent. It’s not for those of you in search of olfactory intrigues, animalic drama, testosterone overload, gender-bending curiosities, party boosters, gothic mysteries or anything out of the ordinary. It is a very wearable and well-made scent, like a tailored suit or a fine glass of whiskey. The good life, core values, that kind of vibe.

(Sampled in store/Initial thoughts) In terms of the type of soap you’d be getting with this one its a very soft, quite feminine soap. Too much so for me. For some odd reason I thought there might be more spice. I definitely see this fitting a 30+ work professional. Absolutely safe for work, it doesn’t project heavily which only adds to its practicality for the office. I’m more inclined to save up for Luna Rossa Sport, which is a more modern clean soap scent.

Oh, this is SO classy! Daytime only, imo, or bedtime 😉 Perfect for warmer seasons. It exudes elegance but in a sexy way, maybe because of its sweetness mixed up with a fresh spicy vibe. Anyway, I think it’s one of the best male cologne in the designers category, masterpiece from Prada!

Smells like fresh bubble gum and soap in a good way. A fresh sophisticated classic, all year around worthy

    This got reformulated.
I have just opened a new bottle, after finished my last one.
It smelled totally different. well not totally, but not long lasting, and fainted.
It does not last more than an hour, and it lost its unique play of sweetness and smokiness with extremely fresh vibe of it.
It opened up with cardamom, but when it dries down you can feel the depth of it is gone. it’s like there’s less vetiver, and less neroli.
Iv’e checked my batch which starts with 7, compared to another one at the store which starts with a 6, and they are different.
    Such a shame

Prada Amber Pour Homme is an attractive fragrance, although it’s rather different than I had imagined. Soapy and luxurious, yes. But I do find it perhaps denser and more opaque than expected, and not as fresh as I had expected. The drydown, however, is exquisite. Another soapy fragrance, for example, Creed Original Vetiver—or Mugler Cologne—offers a cleaner, fresher, more transparent interpretation of soap. Not better, just different. Prada Amber, on the other hand, expands on the theme of a perfumed soap.

This is a comforting dryer sheet, powder and lavender fragrance
I can see why do many like it and it is unique, nothing is similar to it or does what it can
Overall this not suit my taste and although the powderyness is not overbearing, it does not suit me personally
    I respect the juice though
If this sounds great to you, I recommend a sniff
Could be great on a date , especially a first date

There’s soapy and there’s soapy… one kind of soapy is clean and fresh and youthful and the other is floral and powdery and somewhat more mature. This is the latter -and a quintessential example at that. A lot of people have written that this is not particularly powdery. I simply can’t agree. If you are not a fan of soft powdery scents, consider yourself warned.

Soapy lavender sophistication. What’s not to love. I obliterated my bottle, and the ladies loved it. Note to self…..order a new bottle very soon. You too buddy, I see you sitting there doubting. Order it and thank me later.

love this … nothing from soapy designer fragrances is better than prada …. to me it´s the most sophisticated soapy office fragrance for the guys of age over 30 ….
such a classiness and gentleman freshness …. and another important thing is: that is inoffensive and not too overpowering over the hot spring/summer days ….
very gentle, pleasant, clean, mature … no teenage disco party vibe (luckily) … for instance, mugler cologne (a new reformulated version) is too soapy and synthetic …
this has a niché vibe and uniqueness …

One of my favourites on my husband. Sadly he just used up the last drop and I have to repurchase it —- with this one he gets many compliments. Smells old school yet modern to me. Like a little like shaving cream ,but in a classy expensive way. He owns all kids of niche fragrances and none of them come close to this one !

PAPH to me is the perfect fragrance for the office. Clean, inoffensive, and safe. It’s powdery, sweet, and flowery but not feminine at all – at least to me. Although I rated it to be ‘long lasting’, the first 4 hrs will give you moderate projection but the next 3-4 or so it’ll be ultra close to your skin.
Glad to finally have it in my collection, 8.5/10.

This once lasted 12 hours. Now it lasts 5 if I’m lucky. Sad. I doubt that will change for the better with the reforms to come. In three more years when this lasts for 2 hours folks will long for the days it gave them 5.

  26. :

“Luxurious soap” basically describes this one perfectly. A very soft, powdery, saffron/myrrh “soapy” fragrance. I don’t think this comes off as feminine though. To me it’s very neutral/unisex.
This fragrance is soft in projection, but it’s very easy to wear in almost any situation. I can’t see anyone being offended by this scent.

in 2002 when it first came out it was rather expensive, very deep and with robust sillage…was not soapy at all.
It was a balmy spicy leather with a very niche quality, now it has been reformulated and lost its original appeal…

I re-purchased a scent I used to own: Prada Amber Pour Homme. I owned this years ago and used it sporadically and ended up giving it away. Recently, I was in a department store and decided to sample Prada Amber and gained a deeper appreciation for this fragrance.
Words to describe this fragrance: luxurious, clean, fresh, expensive and sophisticated.
Today, Prada L’Homme and Prada L’Homme Intense seem to be getting the lion’s share of the attention by fragrance enthusiasts like myself. Prada Amber pour Homme needs more attention. I think it smells great, and longevity and projection are deceptively good for a fresh scent. Many have said this fragrance smells like an expensive bar of soap, and I would agree with that. This is the kind of scent I see myself wearing this Spring when it is sunny but still cool and I am wearing a suit or jacket and pants. It has this aura of something you would wear at an outdoor cocktail party….smells expensive and sophisticated.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

I agree with the reviewers who say this is an “Old Faithful” one that can be grabbed whenever you don’t know what to wear. One of the most versatile frags I’ve ever encountered. Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall, day, night, office, date, whatever. I can’t really think of an occasion where it would not work. The opera or the beach, equally well. It does have a soapy, clean smell, but also elegant and refined. I don’t think anyone would be surprised this is Prada. It has a luxury smell.
The downside is, at least for me, it fades away very, very fast. Terrible longevity and not much sillage or projection, even if you try drowning yourself in it. It ends up being pretty linear (not much time to do anything else) and however many notes go into the composition, it just smells like, well, Prada Amber Pour Homme. It has a distinct Prada smell in the way that Dior Homme has a unique brand smell, but you have to catch the Prada very quick before it goes.
The versatility comes from the fact that it is not aggressive. Not a barn-burner, not a conversation starter. If you want to hop out of the shower, shave, and spritz on something that smells clean, expensive, and will not linger, this is for you. Wear it to a job interview, wedding reception, pizza party, or Las Vegas club. It might not be the perfect fit, but you really cannot go wrong with it. For some guys, that’s really all they’re looking for from a frag. My tiny bottle has lasted forever since I generally enjoy spending time finding the perfect scent for an occasion out of my collection. Yet, if I’m ever stumped or pressed for time: Prada Amber, no regrets.

Prada Amber was my first “real” perfume, however I am a woman! These pleasant smells of spices and citrus can be quite suitable for a woman as for a man.

This would be amazing if not for the bergamot! I’m allergic to it. Wahhh! I wanted to love this. I still may wear it but spray it low on my body. It smells good after the bergamot wears off.

    …a ladies soap?
It smells like an luxurious, expensive 5 star hotel soap that a refined lady would use.
Sorry everyone, but it smells too feminine for “my” taste.
It is a lovely scent and I can understand why there is so much love for this gem (I’m sure I won’t be getting any thumbs up for my opinions).
I love soapy fragrances, for example Tom Ford Grey Vetiver.
This one is not for me unfortunately.

Holy cow! This might be the most reviewed fragrance I’ve ever seen! With that said, I’m sure what I’m about to say is simply echoing previous reviewers – so I’ll keep it short!
    Spicy/soapy elegance.
    I don’t like soapy scents…
    But I love this one.
This is a modern classic and one of the best releases in years.
    What are you waiting for?

Prada Amber is an incredibly clean, beautiful, luxurious fragrance. It smells like what I imagine a royal family’s dryer sheets would smell like.
Its stellar for the office, school, or anywhere else indoors where you’d want something subtle and inoffensive. I can’t imagine anyone being put off by this fragrance.
PAPH is soft & gentle. It lasts on my skin about 4 hours and projects for 1. That being said I can’t enough of the scent. I’m halfway though my first 100 mL bottle but I will definitely buy another once it’s finished. Easily one of my favourites for indoors.
    Scent: 10/10
    Performance: 5/10

As so many people have said, this is an intensely clean and soapy fragrance. It’s also bright and modern with none of the old-fashioned connotations that sometimes go with such scents. Also, the warm, soft spices add an interesting component and keep things balanced. I’d be surprised that anyone could have trouble with the longevity as I get at least 8 hours from this, with more if I get some on my shirt. I’d also advise going light on the trigger.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Saffron, a little sweetness from the myrrh, musk; some body from the labdanum; a soft leather. I can pick out many of the other notes listed here but enerything is well blended into an amber accord. PAPH is a smooth, clean amber with a hint of sweetness. A soapy vibe is here as well.
Sillage and projection are about average; longevity is pretty good. I’m still catching whiffs at eight hours. Works in all but the hottest days of the year. Not really too sexy but smells pleasant and clean. Safe for work and appropiate in any situation. Not exactly youthful smelling but not mature either. Unisex, might lean slightly “feminine”. I’m really enjoying this. Juice color is cool and I think the bottle looks great. Reasonably priced and performs well. A solid release from Prada!

  38. :

I am a big fan of clean soapy fragrances especially from Prada.
But this one kinda disappointed me.
Although it is pure soapy, clean and high quality with very good performance and got me many complements in office. But I feel it is not as classy as prada lhomme, prada luna rossa or even TF grey vetiver.
Still in a love/hate relationship and will see if it will grow on me.

If anyone lives in Denmark and would like to trade this I’d be happy to give this fragrance away. It’s nice, gentle and soapy but I don’t use it and I would rather have something else.

this is a winner for me too, despite the intense soapy vibe to it. still lasts on me now in the evening (sprayed 1 spray this morning). Great, ‘quiet’ scent that lasts and lasts. Pure wonder!

    New bottle, first time application.
Saturday morning: nice hot shower, shampoo, conditioner and a close shave. Dried off and applied Prada l’homme deodorant along with three sprays of Prada Amber Pour Homme. One on my chest and one on each side of my neck.
Pure luxury. The scent of the rich! If fresh and clean smelling could be classified as decadent, Prada Amber is the poster boy

  44. :

I have to be honest of what I really feel about this fragrance. Initial spray reminds me of a dark, wet, moldy attic (constructed with wood) where insecticides and herbicides are stored. I tried to find the soapiness everyone is talking about but what I find is a stale, fatty soap made of beef tallow. Was this made in the 80’s? It has a vintage pomade vibe to it. The smell is mild to moderate and lasts no more than 2 hours. Bottom line: I’m highly disappointed! How strange is that?

  45. :

    4 out of 5

Everyone says it smells like soap.I agree and as i said earlier i love it.
So what soap smells the most like this so i will know which soap to buy?

  46. :

    3 out of 5

This fragrance is definitely a vibe changer/aura morpher, unwillingly; because, every time I wear it I feel like I am being treating special, looked at with high regards. Mind you, I am standoffish to begin with but not arrogant, nor do I feel as if I am above/snobby.
This fragrance is just the person that sits at the frat party, that everyone wants to vent all their dirty little (or epic) secrets to, but don’t know how to approach them, but still they feel welcomed in their indifferent, yet warm, reserved welcoming embrace lol. I think I am projecting onto this fragrance..
I can see a woman even wearing this, and I would likely ask what it is she is wearing. I would love for that to happen, actually. That would be an experience.
I think this might even be a signature but I wouldn’t claim it to be, and I don’t want one.
Soapy, not overly powdery, just right, and just peaceful.

  47. :

LOVE this juice – yeah, it smells like a billionaires soap which is a very nice thing actually but it ALSO has some very unique underlying notes and it has lasting power. Well done Prada this one is now my signature scent

  48. :

when this first came out, it was not soapy at all. The intense version did not exist and this scent was a mix of these two new formulas, it was heavy with solid sillage ..it was a true gem.
the new version is good but nothing compared to the initial version!

Designed by Miuccia Prada herself—a Forbes-listed billionaire—this purple juice almost eliminates the huge gender divide between men and women, but it introduces the unmistakable distinction between “rich” and “poor.” Prada Amber Pour Homme (Prada Man) transports me to the Capitol of a fictional nation called Panem in the fictional world of The Hunger Games. And all of its grandeur and opulence. Maybe this is how Tributes such as Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, and Finnick Odair smelled like once they have been washed off all the grime from the arena, with a soap that costs more than a month of hard work. When they have been all prepped to face the elite Capitol crowd and the thick cameras.
With this juice on, I feel—and smell—so clean. Not just squeaky clean, but the luxurious kind of clean. Something that I might not afford even if I abstain from fine bread for a month or so. On train rides, around the corner of my eyes I see members of the crowd too, secretly trying to catch some whiffs of my scent, which probably radiates from an arm’s length. It stays like that for seven to ten hours, until it fades to a manlier skin trace. Manlier, I say, because at its early stage, this scent is more inclined to being androgynous. As I had mentioned earlier.
Amusingly when I first tested this fragrance, I pretended to not enjoy it, since it lacks the mystical smoky feel of my favorite fragrance, its “Intense” brother. But my actions betrayed my words. A week later, I made a purchase. I realized that if fragrances could talk, Prada Man isn’t the kind that screams, “Look at me, girls, I’m here!” Instead, it says “It’s a pleasure to meet you, my lady.” It conjures up respect. Subtleness. Elegance. I admit that I enjoy every bit of this gem now. I might tend to reach for this bottle more often during hotter days, generously giving myself some seven sprays or more at once, yet dreading the moment when the bottle will become empty, which will mean a definite repurchase.

  50. :

it feels very well blended but also like no one aspect of the fragrance stands out. neither the spice or the sweet aspects really grab me and I really wish it performed a bit better.

Clean, soapy, masterpiece. Cody, a prominent fragrance reviewer of the YouTube channel Dracdoc, described Prada Amber Pour Homme as “how a rich person smells.” I couldn’t agree more. Prada Amber is an elegent, clean fragrance that exudes opulence. You can’t go wrong smelling like this jewel that works in almost any scenario.

    Projection 8/10

Soap, soap and more soap. smells like an expensive soap from a hotel. don’t believe the hype! if you wanna smell like soap get this one. I don’t recognize any of the listed notes. No Amber for sure i guess it is the floral of the saffron that makes it so soapy.

  53. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t ever want to go without this in my collection. Prada Pour Homme is irreplaceable and truly missed but this is becoming and affinity set on fire, in a calm, understated way. It is subtly comforting. Makes me feel at ease.

In the dry down i smell the citrus…but it leaves a cloud of powder. i don’t get this “soapy” vibe everyone be talking about. i can smell it on me, the sillage seems ok, but projection is weak

I tested this at Sephora and liked it enough to purchase a bottle when I saw it for the right price. It quickly turned from a like to a love. Beautiful, luxurious, rich, soapy masterpiece.
Pretty feminine which is good for me, maybe not great for guys that are scared of smelling anything but manly. It smells powdery, soapy, and a little spicy. I got a compliment from my sister who said it smelled kinda like baby powder. When she smelled it closer she said it smelled like a head shop, so I assume she was smelling the myrrh and patchouli and getting an incense vibe.
I definitely smell the myrrh, labdanum, saffron, and a hint of patchouli. I even smell a little lavender although it isn’t listed. It somehow smells fresh despite the most noticeable notes being quite dark. This is the type of fragrance you really shouldn’t wear unless you’re dressed nicely.
Unlike many soapy fragrance this can be over-sprayed for sure so be careful. This could be headache inducing if you smell it too closely. However, It’s absolute magic in the air and very inoffensive.

  56. :

    4 out of 5

Should be called “Soap pour homme”. Heady and too many sprays can be suffocating. If you hate soapy heady fragrances, look elsewhere. A bit on the feminine side and I would avoid using this for events where you want to make an impression on people.
Gives me a headache in the winter months
    Shines in the summer.
Will not buy again once I run out.

Sprayed this on today to see what the hype was about, and wow.
This is a scrubber. Smells like a baby product I can’t think of which one, but if you told me this was baby shampoo or baby powder I just put on my skin I would believe it. Powdery sweet and that’s about it.

Upon first application is too reminiscent of the scent of my octagenerian grandmother’s face makeup base. I do love my grandma, but sure don’t want to smell like her. A 100% pass for me. Sorry Grand!

Although this has a nice clean smelling scent, it isn’t mind blowing imo….This smells like a higher end bubble bath formula you find at these luxury hotels or something.
This is a fresh out of the shower type of fragrance, which is really never a bad thing.

This is my second wearing of Prada Amber. A rainy day in the house, no work. There is something relaxing about this frag so I decided that today is the kind of day I’d like to wear it. Otherwise, I think this one could be used for casual or formal occasions.
It opens with a blast of sharp soapiness that is really awesome. I’ve never smelled anything quite like it… Then it hit me. It smells like the golden baby shampoo everyone knows but more refined. Then it dries down to a soft ambery smell which is even more relaxing than the opening. An extremely clean scent.
I think this frag could be used in all seasons and by all age groups. It’s inoffensive, has great longevity (about 8 hours) and pretty good sillage (arms length or more). This will go into my regular rotation for sure.

I stand by my original review that, painting with a very broad brush, this fragrance on paper (literally, on blotter paper)is predominately neroli, myrrh, and geranium. But on skin (i.e. in real life), this fragrance really is as complex as the listed notes would lead one to believe.
I think I may have developed some sort of semi-sick obsession with hyper-analyzing this fragrance, but oh well – it has given me something to do. I now think the vanilla and labdanum accord dominates (which, you know, would make perfect sense from a fragrance named “Amber”), while the neroli and myrrh, while being so prevalent on paper, serve mostly to soften/brighten and enhance this amber accord, respectively.
The saffron note rides throughout most of the dry-down stages, and the cardamom hangs around for quite a while as well. The patchouli seems to be present more as a diffusive, musky “effect” more than a dominant note, but it is there. Same with the sandalwood – more of an underlying warmth than a “Hey, I smell sandalwood in there!” reaction.
I no longer think this one is simple – quite the contrary. I think this fragrance is extremely complex and sophisticated, yet very subtle. Pure class.
I also no longer think that this one should be worn outside in warm temperatures. I could smell myself during an outdoor lunch about 2 weeks ago – I smelled rather resinous. I’ll probably shelve this one until October.
OK, no more crazy, complex fragrances for me for a while. It’s Dior Homme Cologne for the next few weeks.

I really like this one, but I can’t wear it. Unfortunately, it makes me sneeze. Although I love the smell of it, the scent reminds me of the smell of sneezes, and therefor it makes me have to sneeze. Know what I mean?!
My decision was between this and Vince Camuto Eterno, and Eterno won. They’re very similar, heavy heavy saffron scents, but Eterno is a bit more generically masculine, while this one is a bit more soapy. One interesting thing to note, is how “oily” this smells. I think most people will enjoy that aspect of it, but for me personally, it kind of reminds me of baby lotion.
For what it’s worth, I think just about anyone (besides me) will enjoy this scent. It’s clean, it’s long lasting, and it’s saffron. How could you not like saffron?! Wear this with slacks and your favorite dress shirt, and you’ll feel like a million bucks. Heck, even a woman could wear this! Wear it with a pencil skirt and a blouse, and I’ll gladly buy you dinner. This is as unisex as it gets, in my opinion.
For those who liked the saffron but didn’t appreciate the underlying soapy scent for whatever reason, I recommend trying Vince Camuto Eterno.

One of the richest openings in the game. Creamy, soapy beauty unfurls with Prada Amber Pour Homme Prada Man. And it doesn’t stop there. I get saffron, myrrh, cardamom and vanilla off the top. This quartet creates a real soapy, creamy effect, it is rich and calming. The leather and musk waste no time in making their presence felt, giving this scent greater richness and a very masculine tone. This is like shaving on a beautiful spring morning and your bathroom window is open to let in that fresh spring air. To shadow and tame the musk and leather two-step is the neroli and labdanum, executed artfully here. PAPPH has these beautiful note transitions, it all feels seamless, some might say linear but to be honest these subtle changes are so satisfying and really a joy to behold. The geranium and orange blossom are another lovely pairing to this composition and when paired with the tonka and vetiver just keeps the soapy magic rolling. This scent is classy, it is rustic, it is very italian and mediterranean. This is one of those holy grail classy scents we all seek out for different reasons; memories of distant places, the scent memories of your dad’s aftershave. PAPPH is a slow burner of a scent and is such an olfactory indulgence. PAPPH is that fashion accent fragrance (ac-SCENT!.. Terrible I know.). Think sartorially italian with PAPPH, rolled chinos, boat shoes, and a crisp white dress shirt (basically Jude Law in The Talented Mr, Ripley.) This scent gets a big LOVE from me I highly recommend this to any fans of soapy barbershop style scents. or fougeres. No matter where you are, a few sprays of this and you are walking down a sunny street, with the greatest feeling of cleanliness, confidence and calm.

This smells very very similar to Chanel Platinum Egoiste in my opinion. They are both fresh and soapy in the opening and mid notes but Egoiste has a more musky dry down.
Both are very versatile and likable fragrances but Amber Pour homme is the more floral of the two.

This unisex and clean soapy smelling juice is nearly empty now, and I’ve loved every bit of it. It’s a keeper in my fragrance wardrobe.

Prada Amber Pour Homme ini terasa sekali aroma sabun mahal. Sabun mahal yang tak mampu saya beli, ataupun jika saya mampu, saya tak tau dimana membelinya.
Ketika pertama kali spray (sambil memejamkan mata), saya membayangkan saya sedang berada di toilet hotel mewah yang memiliki spa dengan ornamen keemasan ala perancis. Mengingatkan saya sedang menginap di kamar hotel mewah lantai paling atas, dimana dinding kamarnya terbuat dari kaca dan semua gorden jendela ditutup otomatis melalui remote.
    Sangat elegan dan berkelas.

I largely agree w/ @afterdark’s review below. I put one drop each of neroli and myrrh oil on tester strips, then a trace amount of geranium on another. After letting everything dry down a bit, I could barely smell the difference between the oil tester strips and the strip with the Prada Man sprayed on it. This one is a winner in my book – so fresh and so clean clean.
Lasts forever on clothes. I sometimes spray it on my hanky and it sticks on there for a week.
