No doubt it is one of the best perfumes ever and very cheap, but everyone can dedect the smell and this is not a good thing because it is cheap and it is not special at all.

    I finally understand this.
Cool weather, sprayed liberally on my vintage coat, it’s very nice.
Dry citrus up top, leathery, pine green with potpourri Rose’s, gives off a bit of an incense vibe.
None of that should sound appealing, though this is not for everyone.
It’s all about the setting, both for the wearer and occasion.
It doesn’t fit the modern age particularly well, but with current trends continuing to follow vintage fashion and ideals, in an age increasingly lacking substance and soul, it would be great to see vintage aesthetics extend into the fragrances of the era.
If you’re interested in taking on a scent from another time and up for trying to make it work or if you dress like a man from the 70s, the reward is there.

I bought this for historical purposes.
I like to get a feel for the era, like
    a method actor.
I’m still trying to get the feel here.
I’ve waited for cooler months to use this brutal
    Dry beast correctly.
I’ve worn a lumberjack outfit and leaned on bended knee upon a log.
I’ve worn a late 70s power suit, I’m serious about this.
This scent was developed in the 70s, released in 1980.
This is the seventies telling the 80s how they are going to be.
But the times changed, the sideburns, bell bottoms and brutal, heavy macho mannerisms
gave way to floral, fruity fluro fun.
I will wear this around old fashioned, conservative people, if I can.
    Trump could pull this off.

Tested in store. No offence to those who appreciate this fragrance, but not only was this harsh (as some have said), it also has a similar note to insect repellant! Sorry, not appealing to me at all.

The current formula of One Man Show is, in my opinion, truly disgusting and an example of one of the worst reformulations of a classic fragrance.
What used to be a complex, piney, mossy, well blended fragrance that shared some similarities with vintage Oscar de La Renta Pour Lui, now shares most of its similarities with cheap vintage (stale) Christmas potpourri.
Do yourself a favor and stay far away from the current formula, easily identified by the “87% Vol” on the front sticker. Go for the 85°, or 85% Vol to experience the true intent of this fragrance. They’re not hard to find at all. In my experience, the 3.3oz spray bottles of the 85% juice are stronger and longer lasting than the smaller 1oz 85% bottles (the juice in the larger bottles is darker than the small ones). The 1oz bottles are all over eBay for super cheap, and they do smell the same as the larger bottles, but the performance isn’t as good. So there were clearly some reformulations even within the 85% time period. However I’d still recommend the 1oz bottles ANY day over the vile modern version.

I don’t care how long ago this was created. I really like this a lot. I think it is a lot better than much of the current creations that are watered down and have ridiculously low longevity of only an hour or a few. I think if a scent does not last at least 8 hours it is not worthy to be made nor sold to the public, because it defeats the purpose of proper dressing and elegance. I get a good 8 hours of longevity and a moderate sillage. This One Man Show’s main notes I get are bergamot, pine, leather, nutmeg, and carnation. Nutmeg is one of my favs, very delish. This opo is a chypre-fougere blend, starting out as a bold chypre with its bergamot citrus, and it dries down to a most regal England woodland fougere. It offers images of the satyr Pan sitting on a tree stump and blowing his pan pipes with his haunting and mystical sound echoing through the woods, and elating all life privileged enough to hear the charming notes of life: it’s nature, green, balsamic and alluring. I’ll have to invest in some of this, it’s my kind of opo.

This is one of the most macho fragrances ever made!
This is how men smelled back in the 60s 70s and 80s,
    Macho AF.
If you thinking of punching someone in the face please wear this before you do it, you’ll intimidate them, trust me 😉
To my nose the opening smells a bit like Dior sauvage (the green bottle) but Dior smells slightly sweeter.
They were both realised 5-6 years apart!
Some on here claim that this is outdated and it belongs to another era, MO FO Real fragrances are never outdated. Keep wearing your Paco Rabanne 1 million, millennial ass.
Anyway, if you like strong manly scents this is for you, it lasts a long time, especially on clothes.
This is a autumn/winter fragrance, but I’ll bust this anytime in spring and on cool summer evenings (not in daytime)
If you don’t like it at first try give it another chance, you might change your mind 😉
For around £10 100ml this is worth a blind buy.
P.S if you like Sweet smells this is not for you.

Hello. Today, a French work by Jacques Bogart-One Man Show came to me. Aromatic, chypre, freshly spicy and sexily scented very warm for every climate, feel the skin, patchouli, carnation, moss and many other beautiful notes, durability as usual in this brand infernally lasting, wonderful and comfortable fragrance, I think for the whole year. masculine and seductive. If you like such fragrances as Polo Ralph Lauren, Versace- L Homme, Jaguar for men- green. You will like this fragrance. I end this fragrance with this fragrance and not only with this scent 2017. I wish you all. GREAT AND FRAGRESS NEW YEAR 2018, LET NEW YEAR BRINGS YOU HEALTH AND BEAUTIFUL NEW FRAGILES, MEET THEM, AND DO NOT FORGET THAT IS NOT MOST IMPORTANT IN LIFE. HUGS AND KISS FOR EVERYTHING, THANK YOU FOR WHOLE YEAR WITH YOU. Alberto. <3 compliments 10, price 10, scent 10. totally 10. Blessed for all!

This is so intimidating but when I find the courage to pull the trigger, it disappears on my skin, time after time I try it. Too bad cause I like it and it would be a badass of a monster if I got it’s legendary performance on my skin, which carries perfumes very well normally.

Ah yes, One Man Show. One of the most controversial fragrances in existence.
Before buying this, ask yourself – do you like shrill scents? Do you appreciate bleak austerity? Do you want to smell terrible to most people?
If you can reply yes to all of those, then by all means buy it!
I don’t mean that as a kick towards this scent.
One Man Show is damn decent old school chypre, it’s just a style and smell that is completely out-dated these days.
It’s very complex on paper, but the reality is far briefer.
The opening is one of insanely high pitched citrus. It’s so damn sharp, it will nearly take your head off.
The heart is a floral overload. All the 80s players, carnation, geranium and rose assault the senses like a well executioned attack.
The base is woods and green notes. Again the emphasis is on the sharp. Pine is very present here, in the most bitter representation I have ever encountered.
OMS is not bad at all, it’s just way out there. Most scents usually employ at least one familiar note to tie the composition together.
That is just not the case with OMS. It takes a combination of a classic chypre, and amps it up with the 80s power notes. The idea is awesome. The execution just suffers from lack of ingredient quality, and a decidedly heavy hand in blending.
OMS is a great try for any 80s fan. Just dont expect a masterpiece or perfection. What you get is one of the most grim and grey scents you’ll ever try.
Longevity is awesome. It’s a Jacques Bogart – the brand is not really known for being subtlety. Expect 24 hours easy.
    Rating: 5/10 as a scent. 9/10 as a concept.

Old school power house perfume. I have a very old bottle probably 15 yrs old..!
The new formulations are mild compared to the old.
perfect winter wear…40+ age can pull this off.
very much beetle nut leaf smelling. In India people chew beetle nut so I personally hate to wear this and smell like old lady..

Great memory from the 80s.To me still smells the same seductive and romantic. Got it for my husband, not sure if it was reformulated or not, still liking it, reminds me of my school flame ))).
If someone does like it send it to me or use as air freshener, do not discard to the toilet))))

  16. :

    3 out of 5

Very strong and generic and synthetic smell. You get what you pay for. I got a new bottle from reputable mortar & brick store, and I had to drain it down the toilet, that’s it ! perhaps the best definition for it is “eau for toilet”. I guess this is the trend for the so called “cheap gems” that so many like them… It is just not for me !

Classic masculine for men. Perfect scent for a chilly New England winter day. More casual than professional, I prefer to wear it on rainy/overcast cold days with a flannel shirt, jeans and rocking my winter beard. One Man Show really does make some excellent colognes for men at probably the best value (most under $20!). I love the Jacques Bogart house and in my collection I have OMS, Ruby, OMS Gold and perhaps the best of them all Bogart Pour Homme. All have superb performance on my skin. If you’re a man, and looking to for an excellent classic masculine cologne that never goes out of style, and is not another confusing statement-less unisex scent… check out One Man Show by Jacques Bogart. You won’t be disappointed. Women get this for your man and watch him turn into a lumberjack in front of you! This is another one of those colones my wife (she’s very feminine) loves on me but would not even consider to wear herself because as many have said… its uber-masculine! Everything about OMS says “hard working outdoorsy type of man” including the notes (pine, leather, oakmoss, cedar), the no-nonsense macho bottle, and even the name itself “One Man Show.” That’s all I’ve got to say… I need to go grab my axe and cut some wood for my log home in the mountains… Indeed, that’s OMS!

Bought another one from fragrancex.com, for € 12…
It smells verrrrryyyyyy nice and has a huge sillage and projection.
Another brutal scent for JB, strong and fresh.
why pay “top dollar” for other brands when JB delivers time and time again, for just € 12?

Okay, this isn’t a real review. More like geeky stuff, but whatever.
I just scored myself a vintage One Man Show and it’s very clear what happened. When they reformulated this, they not only took the oakmoss out of it (of which there was a very considerable amount) but also the labdanum as well. I tried to reconstruct it and after a few attempts, it was a qualified success. I used about 0.25ml oakmoss (50% tincture) and two drops of labdanum for every 10ml. It’s almost like the vintage–but for that basil. The old basil smells medicinal, the new one smells sweet.
..and then I’m going to add vetiver and myrrh. Then, I’ll let it macerate. In a month or two, I’m going to know if I just made a green chypre that will have Chanel No 19 making a run for its money. Yayyy!!!
Jacques Polge, vous avez été prévenu!

Honestly, I am suddenly worried to buy any of these.
In spite of the cheap price… but have all these been reformulated?
I like strong and masculine scents, so especially for a blind buy the Bogarts sound perfect! Then I read about reformulations here – even on Bogarts!- and I am seriously worried that all I get is a cheap, weak air freshener with zip performance…because that’s what happened when I bought Quorum, current formulation.
    And Bijan.
    And CH Men.
    And Armani Pour Homme.
    And Pheromone by Marylin Miglin.
    And Nautica Voyage.
You read these reviews here and think ‘Damn, this sounds like JUST what I am looking for!’
    And then…you get the reform.
    THE(sad)END.

It was the summer of 1997, I was 15, and a guy I had a crush on went on holiday to the US and brought me back One Man Show as a sign of his undying affection. It was the second perfume I loved, merely for the fact that it was given to me by an object of my affections at the time. He also had a bottle too, so at least we could smell the same while we pined over each other. It’s a man’s fragrance but it will always remind me of forbidden love and meaningful glances and love letters ferried secretly back and forth. (No texts or DMs or emails back then.) I remember this being very citrusy fresh and woody. The soundtrack to this fragrance would include What is Love by Haddaway, Be my lover by La Bouche, All that she wants by Ace of base and a little Queen of the Pack by Patra. The weather would be blazing hot, bright and cloudless with a slight breeze to cool off the fervor of puppy love. My house was broken into a few months after I received this and it was stolen. I was heartbroken. I could no longer smell like the apple of my eyes and my meager allowance didn’t allow for perfume purchases. God I miss it. I see it everywhere in my country, for next to nothing too. I will probably end up getting this purely for nostalgic purposes to sniff once in while and be transported back to a time when I thought I would be forever young.

I was not fortunate enough to try the vintage or original, as an enthusiastic, blindly bought the formulated version on FragranceNet. Opening is good, I get basil and bergamot for sure but after a while it becomes body scent. No magic, no sandalwood, no oakmoss etc. Then after 30 mins I see some traces of pine and vetiver and then Jasmine, Jasmine and only Jasmine. And here comes the bad, 2 hours and grandpa bids adieu. Sad very sad, in my opinion an old factory but nice smell, but does not stay beyond 2 hours. Only good part is price, may be keep it with you and keep applying every 2.5 hours. Reformulation killed one more gem. I would not be buying it anymore but surely gonna miss you my old friend…

A Blind Buy proved painless due to certain reviewers I attune myself to that share my fondness for fragrances of the 80’s. An earth shattering opening that has way too many notes to discern without several wearings. Heart notes that appear just before I say enough is enough and almost succumb to scrubbing it away. Then the serenity that ensues enveloping me in the marvelous dry down that lasts long beyond the onset of slumber. Patience is justly rewarded.
I believe I remember reading another’s thought…. ” Brings back memories of the dance floors of the 80’s, whatever I remember of those anyway.” Priceless. I agree wholeheartedly. And I’m sure a few of us (me included) still today, think the 80’s were just 10 years back!

An unwearable, chemical mess. The best description I can give is that it smells like the pink cleaning fluid they use in airport restrooms.
The only reason this sells is because people hear it’s a powerhouse and figure the naysayers just have a wimpy nose that needs to man up. Sure thing, dude-bro, I get it but… you know what else is a powerhouse? Shit.
Avoid. If you can’t resist, at least try Krizia Uomo first. They smell similar but Krizia is far more balanced and still performs like a madman. One Man Show was just a $20 learning experience.

  36. :

A superb value for money scent – smells like it should cost at least double what it does.
Rather old-fashioned, masculine, barbershop type scent (because of the oakmoss). I also get the artemesia, pine and leather.
It has a very fresh, piney opening that puts you on your guard (too cheap smelling?), but then you soon relax because it develops into something rather classy with a lovely creamy warmth.
I’m a big fan of this type of woody/mossy/aromatic old-fashioned masculine fragrances, and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. I agree it has elements of Polo Green and Krizia Uomo. Worth a blind buy any day.
Sillage and longevity moderate for me.

One Man Show initial seconds feel cheap, harsh and shaggy. But then it quickly lets you peek into his soul which is creamy, dreamy and noble.
The fragrance is a truly fine manly and animalic blend of woods and spices but you need to ignore the first impression, and take a closer smell of what’s beneath this rugged creature. There’s kindness, elegance and tenderness in it as it is with many of our kind.
A nice capture of what man can show.

It is still the best Perfume i ever used as because of it’s Price to quality ratio. I simply can’t believe that we can get such a master piece for less than 20$, believe me it is far better than many expensive perfumes in market.
The 2nd most important thing i would like to say about this Perfume is it’s strong Masculine fragrance. if you are looking for a blind buy Masculine fragrance on cheap price than this one is definitely for you but don’t think that it smells cheap, it smells great even for this price you will not believe until you try it first.

One of the best scents for a rainy day.
look at the composition of notes its very complex and its well done. IMHO, this perfume smells like a gift of nature i.e the forest spices ,woods ,leaves ,flowers & whatever you think of in a jungle while its still raining. This is not for someone who loves only fresh scents or this is not a panty dropper (Though i hate that word ).Very matured scent
scent: matured but not for everyone
    Projection: Beast mode
    Longivity: 8+ hrs
    occasion: rainy day

Occasionally I found it in one perfume shop in Sliema, Malta. It’s quite difficult to be a judge for this frag, what drive me positive – nostalgia or if’s really good perfume, or both?
Some notes are very similar to Bijan, some of them turn to Equipage… but just some and at the opening. In a few minutes it’s completely different. Both mantioned above are more formal, very smart casual at least. OMS – is on the side of more “sexy” smells. Completely disagree with those who suppose to wear it during winter and autumn. This heavy perfume for the summer because it has a smell notes of a man during hot weather, a little bit sweat :). Playboy, if shortly…
Very long lasting and sillage is heavy.
You can find similar trend in some Xerjoff creatures 🙂 – More than Words, Comandor… So, I would hold my hands off to attribute OMS to vintage “smell”, however…
It’s worth to give it a try. Just do not trust fist sniff 🙂

Every time I dream about 80’s, I wear this. It smells exactly as I remember it when I was a kid. Thick, warm, soft and soapy. Its like a time machine. But! Dreams aside, it is still a solid fragrance to wear for anybody with a good taste!

80’s the fantastic decade of brilliant fragrances with Drakkar, Kouros, Giorgio, Zino, Aramis, Polo and let’s not forget ONE MAN SHOW. These fragrances don’t only smell masculine and sexy, but they also create nostalgic moments for our lives to remember.

I rate the old version before 2012, the original. A very soapy scent of roses. Very pushy. A fragrance for a over 50 years old gentleman. Not for young men. The reformulated version is about 10:1 watered down and not even worth a dollar. Try to get a bottle of 2012 or older. The content is much yellowish than the reformulated version.

  49. :

    4 out of 5

My bottle has still lasted me years. A little goes a long way.
It’s very complex and different… the opening may come off as a “soapy” green, “Rosemary” Caraway spice like. Slightly medicinal, but it has a complex pine, green mossy, patchouli, that only gets sweeter and more powdery, and settles nicely on male skin.
    Sillage: huge, room filling
    Longevity: Very long

I think this fragrance smells similar to “Krizia Uomo” which is also a vintage fragrance from the 1980’s. They both have similar scent components in them due to their wood, herb, and a few other notes. “One man show” isn’t too strong of a fragrance and it’s lighter than “Krizia uomo” IMO. I don’t think of this fragrance as being spicy but I do recognize the leather note in this. This isn’t too bad of a fragrance, being it’s “old school” and it’s kind of on the clean side. This also has a scent component to it to remind me of “root beer”, but not very much.

Fresh and long lasting, about 8 hours. I like it much and I’ll recommend it, if you’ll like scents of 80’s. This fragrance is potent powerhouse. Economic, quality product. The scent reminds me, hmmmm… bathgel or bathfoam;-)

This perfume is not for everyone. Buy this if you are reserved calm and masculine. It will shine on you. Make it your signature fragrance like I have.
Only let down is its initial smell. It smells really cheap and chemical like for about half an hour. Then the fine qualities of this perfume becomes apparent.
It has decent silage and lasts 8-12 hours on my skin.

A really very loud opening that never lets up. Subtlety and One Man Show are not acquainted with each other. The opening notes feature almost everything under the sun: citrus, floral, spice, musk, woods, leather, everything. Not very well-blended and quite a bit overwhelming with the citrus taking centre stage. Clever in that there is no dry-down to speak of as it is linear. And, boy, is it everlasting!
Do not buy it blind like I did. ($14 for two bottles! Who could resist? LOL!)
This one would have been better if the basenotes were amplified to dampen the screechy top notes, but that’s just my opinion.
It is obvious what Pelligrino is trying to compose: a rich groundbreaking concoction that encompasses all the known genres of perfumery: something that is a chypre, a fougere, an oriental, etc… hence the name One Man Show. However, something got in his way that resulted in a floral chypre. Possibly the budget for raw materials. Yes, it does smell cheap.
Maybe someday, somebody will give Pelligrino a second chance, a bigger budget and the artistic freedom to pull off this lofty ambition because, with One Man Show, it seems like he might just be able to.

Note: Add quite a bit of oakmoss and a hint of basil to the reformulation to regain the vintage smell…to my nose, at least.
Try the unisex Commes des Garçon 2 for a rather non-conventional example of a floral chypre.

I love it. Great cologne with classic woodsy scent. It lasts a long time on my skin as well and projects great. For the low price it was definitely a great deal.

THIS IS WHAT I CALL PERFUME!!!
it projects! got longevity! great sillage!
i never see the point of perfumes done that stay
close to the skin. and i hate subtle whiffs and fake low-profile humility. i love this scent! one spray and you’re good to go
..to me it has some mint(must be the basil) to it… some toothpaste like scent and a blend of florals, some wood, some leather…it smells expensive… it’s well blended for its price.

Very noticeable nutmeg with this, which is a prominent part of the woody, nutty aspect that lurks beneath the breath-taking and fresher upper notes of spice and pine. Some cedar and flower round this out, but it is a direct scent: right to the nose. Very well done, but can be an assault on the senses.

Old School, but really well done. Considering the price, a good deal!

Well…as far as the longetivity and sillage is concerned this perfume is a Classic. But the fragrance is too loud for me…it aint bad but too much of it gives me headache. I would say it is not for the young people out there….if you are above 30 and looking for a cheap long lasting cologne. This is for you Sir.
    Price: 10/10
    Lasting: 8/10
    Sillage: 7/10

This has to be the most disgusting fragrance I have ever had the misfortune to smell
It reeks of boild sweets, my GF said it is Rank with a capital R, the bottle looks like something you can buy in the pound shop, It will maybe get an OK if you are 134 years old and have no sense of smell, but take my advice stay well clear
    Smell 0 – 10
No idea on longevity or Sillage as I had to scrub it off ASAP

I have now tested this several times. I don´t like it.
    I think it´s a synthetic mess, that´s it.

OMG! Very pleasant masculine smell at super cheap price! This is one of the best cheap fragrances on the earth. The rich leather note is so prominent. I would recommend you to blind buy; after all you won’t be a bucks loser. Unfortunately, in my country this is so prominent and everyone wears this gem.
    price 10/10
    projection 10/10
    longevity 10/10
    versatility 8/10

I really like OMS. On me it’s very similar to Azzaro PH. A solid spicy frag at a great price.

I wanted to like this one, and I liked the top notes. It smelled great going on! But after about 30-40 minutes on me the whole thing heads south and turns sour. Scrubber.

Calificacion General 2/10

A famous and good cheap fragrance in the middle east.

Ok 46 years of smoking has narrowed my scent palette considerably OR the many notes in JB One Man Show just blend together into a blast of BASILSPICE but whatever the case.. I LOVE this stuff. It has become my most-worn fragrance; I think I’m addicted to it. While wearing it I’ve had people describe it as ” very citrus-y ” and ” reminds me of Nag Cham
