Wow what an underrated beauty, this is by far one of the best cedar scents out there; comparable to woodpecker and byredo super cedar. There is a warm and comforting feeeling when wearing this. Such a creamy fresh smell, Great projection and longevity.

A pure ambroxan with a some amount of ISO e Super in the dry down. You will like Ombu if you like ultramolecular fragrances like Molecule/Escentric 01/02, Byredo Super Cedar, Zarkoperfumo collection etc. The problem of Ombu is in lack of imagination – just ambroxan and ISO e super, and nothing else. The price of 175 euros makes Ombu the most expensive ambroxan/ISO e bomb at the market, and it is crime (to my mind) to pay for it this money.

A beautiful opening of pepper that quiets to a cedar and pepper middle. The vein of pepper that runs throughout, in conjunction with something else (maybe it’s the sage), almost keeps Ombú separate from Molecule 01 and other “there but not” ISO E Super fragrances. But ultimately not enough to justify that price.
