When I first sprayed this perfume I got a strong hit of alcohol. Disappointing. But once it settled a bit I thought, “Wow, this smells really, really familiar….” It’s very sweet, very vanilla, and honestly smells a little on the “cheap” side. It took me a day but it finally hit me. It’s a total dupe for Prada Candy!! Except I actually like Prada Candy more. It’s extremely similar but Candy smells richer, deeper, more luscious, and more expensive. So save yourself some serious $$$ and get Prada Candy instead. Orchidee Vanille isn’t a bad fragrance, it just didn’t live up to the hype for me. I’m actually shocked no one else has noticed the similarity to Candy. Maybe it’s just my nose…

I pick up a light cocoa powder that is sweet but dry. And after some time I get wafts of gentle orchid in the distance and eventually it becomes waxy. It’s nice, with good longevity. I don’t know if I’ll miss it after it’s used, though.

Years ago, the man of my dreams said he liked Obsession for women, so I bought a bottle. To my horror, it smelled like a cheap man’s cologne on me. There was no way I’d wear it. I thought, “I will find something else.” And that’s how I tumbled down the rabbit hole, and into an obsession with fragrance. This is what I chose to replace Obsession.
Vanilla is my favorite note, and this is the best vanilla out there as far as my nose. Sensual. Beautiful. Glamorous. Voluptuous.
It’s not a high voiced vanilla like The One, it’s not syrupy vanilla like Lira, nothing odd lurking in the background like lush vanillary. Not fluffy celebrity scent vanilla. It’s smooth and so well blended that the cocoa doesn’t even smell like cocoa, it just adds richness.
Only problem: it’s season dependent. Come spring or summer, all the personality and depth disappears, and you might as well wear vanilla extract from your kitchen.
Although I’ve worn it going out, my favorite time to wear it is at night in the winter, when everyone is asleep. It adds the luxury I need when it’s just me and a book — and a cloud of warm loveliness.

This is a nice vanilla perfume that has a certain depth and sensuality to it.
In the opening I can pick up a natural smelling vanilla that has a lemony sweetness with a hint of a floral composition. This should be the Orchid accord.
It dries down waxy and I have a feeling that there’s beeswax in here. It reminds me of Un Bois Vanilla by Serge Lutens. This is more on the floral-citrus side however the dry down is really similar.

This is very daytime appropriate delicate gourmand. It smells like warm amber, vanilla extract and chocolate powder on my skin. There’s nothing extraordinary, but perfume is excellent for intimate moments. Only people who hug you will feel it. Sometimes you need just that.

It’s very light. No sillage at all, I can barely smell it. So sad, it’s quite pricey for what it is. A bit disappointed, but I’ll give It a try in the cooler months. Keep your fingers crossed for me 🙂

It’s a nice, mild vanilla, with some waxy-woody notes in the drydown. For vanilla-lovers it’s a no-brainer. The pleasant design of the bottle, size and the good reputation of the whole Collection Extraordinaire can support the recommendation for blind-buying as well.
What puzzles me, is the note-list on this page.
How do “orchid-vanilla” and “vanilla”, please, differ?
    Vanilla IS an orchid.
It’s a small thing, maybe not worth a remark, but one can imagine, that the distinct floral-vibe is promised along with vanilla notes, what is not the case.

On my skin this perfume smells powdery with hint of vanilla and litchee, maybe a tiny bit of chocolate but none of the other notes are noticeable. The baby powder scent stays throughout the short time this lasts on my skin. In 120 degree heat this won’t last 2 hours on my extremely dry skin. I wear it indoors and spray it on clothing to keep scent longer. It is a pretty soft feminine scent I enjoy as something different since I don’t normally wear this fragrance style. It is worth trying but do a wear test to see if it lasts longer on your skin.

The first and only perfume I’m anosmic to. I spray it on my hands, my husband can smell it very strong and I… nothing! Like water. Nothing at all! Crazy, it’s a pity… I has never happened before 🙁

  10. :

This is good quality vanilla, but it’s much too simplistic for my liking. It reminds me of Victoria Secret’s Vanilla body spray, but more concentrated and obviously made with much better ingredients. I personally prefer my vanilla to be more complex and layered with florals, spices, nuts, woods, etc. This is mostly just straightforward, plain vanilla. If that’s your thing, you will love this. Smells good, don’t get me wrong, it just bores me, reminds me too much of vanilla essence or vanilla beans and nothing else. The far dry down a few hours later is much better, and I start to smell all the other notes, but by then the sillage has weakened considerably! Too bad.

THE vanilla perfume that shames all the others. It doesn’t get any better than this if you want vanilla. Van Cleef is so comforting, classy & sophisticated. Very ladylike IMO. I’m also happy with the performance, I like my perfumes soft and only detectable if ppl come close to me. So, ya that’s a winner right there.

    Love the smell.
    HATE the longevity.
It smells like a sweet, dark, slightly floral, newly opened vanilla pod for about one glorious hour.
Then poff! Gone. Like my money…

After about 20 minutes this dries down to smell identical to the sweet smell of plastic on toys for little girls. I know I had dolls, toy purses, toy makeup compacts, etc that smelled just like this.

  15. :

This is a nearly perfect vanilla based gourmand. It’s not overly sweet, gently grounded with woody notes and almond. It opens with a light burst of citrus and rose, then the vanilla comes through boosted by the grittiness of tonka and smooth earthy chocolate. It settles into a perfectly rounded floral vanilla with a pretty touch of fruit and wood.
I have many vanilla based fragrances, all of them slightly different with different levels of sweetness. This is one of the most natural vanillas I own, and it’s beautifully blended so the drydown is balanced and complex. I don’t get a true violet or rose scent, but there is a floral powderiness that I love.
This is one of two of this collection I own (so far). They are both very well made, totally unisex, and beautifully presented in a heavy glass bottle with VC&A charm hanging from a cord on the top.
The only issues I have is they’re becoming very difficult to find, and the prices have sky rocketed. The projection is a little less than arm’s length, and the longevity is a disappointment – 2 hours and it’s a faint memory. If it lasted a few hours more and projected just a bit more – it would be vanilla perfection.
This won’t stop me from trying the others in the collection – these fragrances look classy and smell of quality. I’m already looking for a backup of this one and trying to decide which one I’ll be buying next.

This smells lovely at first because of the chocolate, vanilla and orange. However, I find that the florals blend a little strangely. The overall scent unfortunately makes it not a favourite of mine. Please contact me if you are in the UK and would like a 5ml decant.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

A bit of an unpleasant odd note on this; vanilla, tonka, orchid, dark chocolate and a hint of violet but not in a yummy violet vanilla fashion but a muddled sweet marshmallow gourmand not worth the price and easily duplicated by cheap frag oil makers

  18. :

    4 out of 5

I like the initial blast of chocolate and vanilla, but i start to cough after a few minutes. Then it just seems to get sweeter and more candy-like. I had to use a lot of the small tester vial so it must be quite weak. I don’t detect the orchid, or the orange or the litchi. It’s a nice vanilla, not offensive, but on me, not very earth-shattering.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

Delicate and pleasing, but it has a really low longevity.

  20. :

Well done.I like this type of blended vanilla with orange ad,I dare, chocolate. It’s comforting but sexy at the same time:like a afternoon spent with your lover in cocooning.
Maybe not original at all,but a goal.

  21. :

It smells DIVINE, but is very light fragrance. No matter how much of it i will spray, it is so delicate and shy and for such a beautiful smell it’s a pity. Wish it were stronger, however is still worth every penny as the perfume lingers on as the day passes by. You get reminders often of this comforting smell. It reminds me of cookies and caramel 🙂 Too good, love it. But still i wish it were stronger!

  22. :

This is one everyone else but you will smell lol Its strong too

  23. :

It depends how you like your vanilla to establish whether you’d like this one or not. And my suspicion is that there are many type of vanilla lovers out there: the foody natural dark vanilla, foody sweet yummy vanilla, dark rum sophisticated not foody vanilla and the list goes on and on. My nose says this is a natural, vanilla-extract realistic foody dark vanilla. Does that sound good to you? Great! Not my cup of tea in vanilla though, I guess I need an extra kick, something else to push this vanilla and support it center stage 🙂

  24. :

    4 out of 5

This is lovely out of the bottle and I really wanted to convince myself to buy a full bottle, but in the end the soft, foody vanilla faded away every time I tested it after only a couple of hours. By that time, I had to bury my nose in my arm to notice it at all. So I’m saying goodbye to what could be amazing, but for that price, 2 hours isn’t going to cut it.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

Orchidee Vanille smells very laid-back and relaxing to me. I would say, quite luxurious too as there is nothing screechy or synthetic about it.
There are no vanilla pods for me, only some kind of a boozy sweetness accompanied by the bright, delicious mandarin orange. While it’s not a floral scent, I would not call it foody either. It smells delicious, “golden”, and almost balsamic from time to time. If you hate dry vanilla scents you are going to like this one. That being said, it does not have buttery aftertaste like Lutens Bois Vanille and therefore, is very easy to wear.
Lovely, but its beauty does not overwhelm me. I prefer my vanilla to be smoky like Guerlain’s Double Vanille or old Dior Addict.
//Try Yves Rocher’s Vanille Noir if you are looking for an affordable substitute. Although Van Cleef is more dense, these two share some similar facets which my skin refuses to ignore.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

Nice simple vanilla and orchid scent. Much lighter but markedly similar to Vanille West Indies Ligne St. Barth which I already own. It’s very warm and sweet with a little dusty, musky feel to it. If you can’t get your hands on the much richer Vanille West Indies, this is a nice substitute.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

A super expensive version of B&BW Warm Vanilla Sugar…WHICH I CAN’T STAND! I was so hoping for sexy boozy musky vanilla with a hit of floral, Nope. It starts wonderful, then about 10 minutes I get skunky grating warm vanilla sugar and a headache. Sigh.
The nice thing about this is the longevity is phenomenal! O put on a tiny bit in the morning and could smell it at midnight. Its solage os really interesting. It will shring or grow depending on body heat. It was cold when I was wearing it, so I would get warm and it would get big and bold again. Then I would go out and it would sit close.

This is a fragrance that has taken probably ten tries at the mall and then a decant to bring home to finally make a decision about it. Because as many times as I thought I didn’t like it, I knew that I should love this somehow.
Turns out, I love every note that goes in here, but somehow I just don’t like it. When I first spray it I get a bath & bodyworks warm vanilla sugar and a powdery orchid, but it smells like someone is painting in the room next to the nice smells. The dry down I smell chocolate, vanilla, and paint thinner.
Just can’t get away from this paint smell. This is just one of those cases where I just don’t understand the appeal.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Drydown: wrapped soft chocolate candies. Lasted more that six hours but sillage is very very close to the skin, goes unnoticed.
Opens fresh and turns vanillary quickly. You get that orchid for just some minutes. For some reason it did not settle on the skin, or my nose wouldn’t pick it. A sweet ice cream vanilla that somehow is aromatic and not gourmand. Well done!
(there are two things that happen to me when i smell a gourmand that is food-like and not aromatic: well besides that I cannot even sniff it for a second time, if I keep sniffing or wearing it, it will cause me a headache and i will nauseate for the day)
Chocolate becomes more intense than vanilla, aromatic as well. Also, I cannot read any other note on my skin. Soft chocolate is for me. But it does seem a flimsy scent, acting differently on skins, maybe that was the purpose(?). Test before buying for sure.
The need to layer is huge, a simplistic drydown that is layer friendly, but I don’t think I would buy a perfume just to “play”. I approve of the juice but it’s not worth buying, at least for me.

I agree that this one of the very best vanilla fragrances I have tested in a very long time. I received a generous decant and am in love. This could be a beautiful “romantic” fragrance since it is supposed to last a while and is soft…….and oh so delicious! An answer to the question whether this should be reclassified as “unisex”….all fragrances are unisex in my opinion. However, if any of you find a definite female/male definition in some fragrances, I would keep this one as a more feminine fragrance. BUT! To each their own ;o)

My fav vanilla and I’ve tried a TON! Lasts a really long time on me. I can still smell if on my wrists in the morning. Sillage and projection is soft – moderate.

  32. :

This one deserves all the praise. Still my favorite vanilla I’ve ever tried. Elegant, simple and long lasting.
Amazing for work when you need to impress – if you’re a white collar worker especially but then again would be great for people in jobs who get in close proximity with others (like a hair stylist or nurse, etc.) because it’s really inviting and not too loud. I think this would also make a perfect winter wedding scent for a bride or mother of the bride. It would also be great for any formal or semi-formal occasion or just anytime you need to feel effortless, approachable, classic, and completely put together.

Could this be classed as unisex? ?

I got this for Christmas! and I have to say it is one of the best perfume gifts I have ever been given.
For the people who say it is light/not there/fleeting, you need to re-check the source because this one is INTENSE. if it is anything other than that, you need to smell a fresh bottle because this is a vanilla BOMB in the most elegant sense possible, and everyone needs to smell this. even if they don’t like vanilla, because this is THE textbook-perfect vanilla for adults.
I am quite a fan of the cheaper vanillas too (mercadona’s vainilla still makes me dance a happy dance) but this.. this is the epitome of the grown-up, sexy, refined vanilla. As it is strong I flip my hair upside down and spray it there, not on my skin (unless I’m at home and going to bed) and it’s only been about 2 weeks but I’m already having people follow me asking what it is.
It’s slightly boozy, and it’s a tintsy bit floral. but besides that it is pure vanilla with a whirl of (equally expensive) dark chocolate. GORGEOUS!
I fell so hard for this one I already got a back up bottle.
I know it’s not cheap, but I really don’t see the need to hesitate on this one… and you never know when they’re going to revamp it or discontinue it… I’d say get it now while it’s still solid gold.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

If you love vanilla, get it. If you love vanilla, orchid, and chocolate…definitely. This is probably the only vanilla perfume I’ve smelled that doesn’t have that rubbery, synthetic scent to it. It smells like a slightly more refined vanilla extract to me. The projection is also great. I personally won’t be buying this as it’s a bit too much for me in terms of sweetness and strength, but if you want a true vanilla perfume that doesn’t smell sickly sweet and synthetic, you can’t go wrong with this; it’s pretty amazing! It smells even better the longer it stays on your skin.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

This is a must have for a lover of vanilla and dark chocolate, I think, though the chocolate is quite subtle, more on the background. But it is there.
I think if Snow White had a fragrance, this would be it. It’s beautiful like a fairytale princess.
There goes my dream of finding an inexpensive dark chocolate. I MUST have a full bottle of this beauty.
Edit. I find it also quite easy to wear, for a night out, or a cozy evening at home, and why not any other occasion too in winter / colder seasons.

  38. :

The best. I’ve loved reading all the positive reviews below, and I agree with all the glowing praise.
If I was to choose just one perfume for the rest of my life, it would be easy. It would be this.
I wish I’d discovered this line sooner, it would have saved me a few hundred lesser purchases.

I am over the moon in love with Orchidee Vanille. It’s so divine! The MOST beautiful vanilla!! Sweet honey-like perfection! Sweet orchid/vanilla. Pure and golden/white. Bitter chocolate, sweet almond, lychee, mandarine and gorgeous violet and Bulgarian rose, all adding to the sublime elixir of romance, sensuality and love. Sweet and intoxicating – pure allurement and bliss. Ecstasy in a bottle!!!
    Incredibly beautiful!!!!

The best vanilla I’ve ever ever smelt! Gorgeous! And the touch of orchid! Oh Heaven in a gorgeous bottle! Boy Van Cleef & Arpels, you do do such wonderful perfumes!!! I’m in bliss!!

Vanilla & Orchid combo is probably the sexiest I’ve come across. This scent is so seductive that I don’t know if I could wear it during the day. Probably better for the night time and during cooler months. Mature, womanly, elegant, sexy and stimulating – love this gem!

  44. :

Obsessed with this baby. Chocolate, orchid and vanilla makes it sweet, and the almonds and the violet keeps it very elegant, deep and different. It is definetely gourmand, but in a very ladylike way, and not an overly sweet teenage-y vanilla bomb kinda way, as it has a floral undertone.
Excellent projection and lasting power, bottle is beautiful and has a very cute vintage look.
One of my all times favorites, alongside with Thierry Mugler Angel and Angel Muse.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

For the first time I have tested one of the Extraodinaire line today. I had pretty high expectations of something – extraordinary, also because of the price, but for my nose it turned out to be kind of ordinary smell of a pastry shop (a cupcake with butter/vanilla cream, no fruit either chocolate, unless you call the white stuff chocolate)
Like Lutens perfumes – this smells more like a pleasant interior scent, namely some posh boutique.
And to be honest, when I walk around all those pumas and Beckhams sweet vanilla “parfumes” in a drugstore, it does not smell much different. In Orchidee Vanille is the cosmetic powdery smell that one gets right next to the shelves, in decorative cosmetic section.
Unfortunately, for me, it lacks individuality, or spirit, and also femininity.
    Longevity and sillage are moderate.
I really liked the heavy simple flacon.

@Erekose7 YESSS I definitely do think so! This would smell amazing on a man! As it does on a woman. I find this to be unisex for sure. Try it out 🙂

On my third bottle, LOVE this perfume.
Sometimes it smells flowers and vanilla on me and sometimes it’s all about chocolate. What are you wearing, you smell so good…I’m asked.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I’m a lover of vanilla and really like this one as it’s not too sickly sweet on me. I really appreciate the drier feeling of it. Projection is great and also the staying power. It comes in a huge bottle but it’s one of few that I’ve used up, would actually buy again!

  49. :

I keep trying this, and it always smells plasticky to me!
Does anyone else smell the plastic note?

  50. :

    4 out of 5

Great niche scent. I hesitate to call this a gourmand, even with all the richly delicious notes of chocolate, fruit and almond, because I don’t feel like I’m soaked in the essence of cupcake when I wear it. The sweet, sugary foodie notes don’t dominate as much on me, they just seem to sway on the periphery of a very sophisticated floral scent. I’d say this is like Shalimar for a modern woman. Not intense with the grandmotherly powdery sweetness, but deliciously natural vanilla, coco and tonka bean that’s more balanced with bitter orange, bright orchid, some other floral, and white musk. A slightly boozy, youthful fragrance that’s not screaming loud, but still gets noticed. I got a sample of this … and then another … but I’m hesitating to buy a whole bottle because, like other reviewers, it fades away within a couple hours on me. (Such seems to be the case with all the Collection Extraordinaire scents I’ve tried, so far. And that wouldn’t be so bad if these weren’t so expensive! I’d love it if they had a mini size.) Even so, the skin scent it leaves on me still lingers like a warm, sexy cloud of sweet comfort. Whilst rationing my samples, I’ve grown to really love the sense of femininity and confidence this fragrance inspires – regardless of its dubious sillage. This perfume doesn’t have to announce itself. It’s more like an intimate secret that its wearer will only share with people close enough to deserve it. So yes, I still keep this on my wish list. Simply gorgeous.

Raw cake batter with few drops of vanilla and almond oil. Longlasting, delicate, pleasant and absolutely common. I had high hopes reading the notes, but I can achieve the same effect with two 5 dollar cake oil bottles so I have no need to spend 150.

  52. :

Van cleef orchidee vanille is among my 5 favorite vanilla scents(xerjoff lyra ,mancera rose vanille, and serge lutens vanilla Boise are some others)
This one was a blindbuy based on notes and ofcourse a really successful one,it smells heavenly,I can’t imagine someone can hate or even may not love this babe
If you want to have a complex perfume with dramatic changes in notes,or you want a dark, mysterious femmefetal scent, this one is not for you
This is sexy in a playful, young, modern way,not a mysterious eastern mythical kind of sexyness, this is your girl, young and pretty and sweet,in her little black dress going to prome with you, unbelievably delicious, soft, velvety, cheerful, delightful, clean, feminine in a young, modern, naughty way
It’s almost linear,a creamy, soft vanilla, sweet and delicious but not a sugarbomb, blended with some dark chocolate, not that much to make it bitter and serious, just there to add a dark deliciousness, lots of soft, really soft powders, this kind of almondy vanilla with some orchid powder is so gorgeous and tastey to die for, there is also a fresh fruity vibe in background, perhaps it’s about orange and some litchi
Everything is balanced and delicate, nothing is overdone, this warm, soft, delicious scent is superlovely, very long lasting on me but with a soft to moderate sillage, you should really be careful when wearing this, anyone with a good appetite would try to eat you 😉 cause you’re gonna be sexy in a delicious, innocent way
Highly recommended to all vanilla lovers and gourmand lovers
    ❤❤❤❤❤
Edit:spray this one generously and use it on both skin and clothes,it can’t fill a room but whenever you turn your head or move your hand, there would be a superlovely whiff of this calming, soothing, ultrafeminine scent
If anyone knows a cheap dupe for it,please let me know,I love it so much I can’t get enough of it,but it’s too expensive to be used as a daily fragrance

    It’s ok, but kinda boring.
You’ll hate me if I tell you to what perfume this is absolutely identical to: Compagnia Delle Indie-VANIGLIA DI KERALA.
I have VDK on one wrist, Orchidee Vanille on the other. There is no difference. Even in lasting power and sillage they are the same.

  54. :

    3 out of 5

A good almond-vanilla, not cloying but very foody anyway. I’ve to ask what does it doing in a “luxuous” collection because honestly it’s just not bad.

  55. :

    4 out of 5

Yep, this is in my top five vanilla fragrances. Ok, its a vanilla cocoa gourmand. The first time I tested it I was not impressed as it seemed so weak. Over time I have learnt to test fragrances at least three times before tapping a review. This is a sweet gourmand but oh so refined and beautifully balanced. The vanilla, orchid, chocolate and then later orange are most prominent on me. The sillage is moderate as is the longevity. It is delicious and you might find yourself sniffing your wrist often. My oh loves it on me as well. What is it about vanilla that make men weak lol

  56. :

    4 out of 5

Terrible: cheap citrus “vanilla” in the opening and then nothing. It reminds me very much of an Aquolina body mist. No layers, no florals, no chocolate, no “perfume”. It is a mistery to me why this perfume is so praised.

  57. :

Exquisite discovery. Seductive vanilla mixed with a touch of almond and chocolate, with a touch of floral fruity. A sweet, floral and creamy fragrance. Subtle and refined. Extremely delicate.

When I first tried it, it smelled to me like fresh cookie dough. Nice, but not necessarily sophisticated as I would expect it from this brand. In the notes, I wrote for myself: keep testing! I knew there had to be more to it than just plain vanilla and chocolate.
And so I applied it today in the morning, on this beautiful, sunny spring day. For the past few hours I’ve been having a blast. It’s a perfect gourmand, and by perfect I mean “the way I like it”. Nothing like the heavy bombs of LVEB or J.Simpson Fancy that in my opinion are not suitable for the spring; nothing that stays on for too long, that bothers you even after the shower. It’s persistent, longlasting but very light. I feel like I have a very delicate cloud of fragrance around me, or maybe more a mist than a cloud. Extremely subtle, almost muted – and this is where its class and sophistication stands.

This is the best vanilla addictive scent I’ve ever smelled. It’s gorgeous, warm splasher, summery well-being mood intended. Great longevity on my skin.

This is the best vanilla and orchidee based fragance, EVER!The best from the collection extraordinaire line from V&A. Got myself a decant and this is definitely worth a full bottle aquisition. And the performance is one of the bests I’ve ever came across, a BOMB!

I received a 5ml decant in a swap from a generous Frangrantican! The box with my goodies arrived last evening with several surprise minis and samples. I was about to go out to dinner with friends so we sat around discussing dinner plans as I excitedly unwrapped each perfume. (It felt like Christmas)! Since I hadn’t worn any perfume that day I went for the decant I knew contained Orchidee Vanille as my first test…
At first spray it smelled heavily of cocoa and… rubber tires?! I was crest fallen but immediately washed my wrist, determined to try again. Turned out the tire smell was due to residue around the lid of the the decanter, not the juice, thank God! I sprayed a liberal spray on each wrist finding myself immediately surrounded by a deep, rich, woody cocoa. “MMM…” Came the response from across the room. “What is THAT?!” About 15 minutes later as were getting into the car a soft, cool breeze enveloped me with a heavenly aroma! It smelled exactly as I had imagined; a perfect Tahitian vanilla orchid blossom dipped into a bowl of the most luscious vanilla bean-infused pastry cream, dipped again into dark chocolate ganache (as only the French can do), then liberally dusted with Dutch cocoa powder to be lovingly placed in a chocolaterie display window; a miniature chocolate orchid. Gorgeous! The scent lasted all night and well into the early morning hours! I could still smell the last traces of it as I got into the shower this morning. Absolute perfection!

Absolutely gorgeous! I swapped several bottles of perfume to obtain this beauty, as the price tag was a little out of my reach. But alas, Orchid Vanille is mine!
There isn’t much to be said that hasn’t been already. It’s a wonderful, elegant, ladylike, and romantic gourmand. That dusty cocoa and impressive vanilla — mmm, it gets me every time!
The other day, I went to grab a blouse from my closet and when I picked it up, a delicious smell wafted from this cream-colored shirt. I knew immediately it was Orchid Vanille. You can’t misplace that vanilla/cocoa, though the blouse mostly smelled of vanilla. I hadn’t worn that shirt for at least five or six days — talk about staying power!
It smelled so wonderful on the shirt, I knew that I had to wear Orchid Vanille again that day.
If you want a gourmand that is totally elegant, refined, and ladylike, this is it.

    CHRISTMAS COOKIES _______________________________________________________
There were a lot of things I could smell here, but Vanilla wasn’t one of them. All I could sense were the Christmas cookies my mother made each season holiday – warm ginger bread and cookies.

First off, let me preface…♡ LOVE ♡
I was expecting a lot of vanilla here, however I was truly surprised to find the stand out note here is a dry dusty CACAO.
Don’t get me wrong, vanilla is here, and blended beautifully, but it’s not the dominant note.
I detect a bit of fruity orange wafting in and out, but I am not picking up any significant rose or woods…the other notes must be subtle and well blended.
The scent doesn’t project too much, and it’s longevity is fair. But I rather enjoy this one, a
