Description

Nuit d’Issey is a new men’s fragrance from Issey Miyake, which, judging by the design of the bottle, belongs to the same collection as L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme from 2009. The bottle is colored in black to represent the night, magnetic and hypnotic, the main inspiration for this edition.

The composition is a woody-spicy with a leather backbone, developed by Dominique Ropion and Loc Dong. It is also described as a sharp, crisp and mysterious ode to wood. Top notes include zesty citruses of bergamot and grapefruit. The heart of the mysterious trail of leather accords is enhanced with spices, black pepper, woods and vetiver. The base notes are rich dark woods, patchouli and incense with tonka bean.

Photographer Ryan Hopkinson is responsible for the advertising campaign. The fragrance is available as 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette.
Nuit d’Issey was launched in 2014.

This stuff is pure bark, wood chip playground, damp bark. It’s like that smell that hits you when you walk into the gardening section of Homebase….well thats the intense start of it anyway. It then calms down and becomes a bit more sophisticated. I’ve never received a compliment for this fragrance, it’s just a safe woody, inoffensive bark bomb that drys down into a musky sort of burnt lemongrass that follows you around all day. 6.5/10

Most of all this scent smells like hard, dark, smooth wood.
It is a bit mysterious and very alluring. The fragrance is sweet, but not in a sugary way like so many other sweeter fragrances, It’s a more subtle, hard, dry sweetness, that is in no way reminiscent of cake.
It projects quite a bit, but not in an overpowering way. It creeps into your nostrils, and pulls you in. At first you’re not quite aware of it, then you’re not quite sure, where it’s coming from, and you won’t be sure until you’re quite close to the skin of the wearer.
Nuit d’Issey is quite unlike other scents I know of, and as such it is probably not a safe blind buy.
But when you sample this be sure to do so in the late spring or summer depending on your climate (around 18 degrees celsius is probably optimal).
It is billed as a winter scent, and I tried using it that way when I first bought it, and I was rather disappointed.
But then, just for a laugh I tried it on a temperate summers eve, and suddenly the fragrance came to life.
In the winter it has a quite unimaginative vibe, a little leather, a little sweetness, a little smoke, but quite cold and two dimensional.
But on a cool summers eve paired with a dark suit as the twilight sets in, it transforms into an enigma of subtle nuances that you want to get close enough to solve.

Complex, leathery, Smokey and incensey…. not safe and not for blind buys! More could be niche than being designer. Absolutely for fall and winter….

This smells like burnt forest. I smell the smoke and it’s not pleasant. It’s like smelling a ghost. Very deep.

The reason I bought Nuit d’Issey was an advertisement in Wired, some years ago. I instantly liked the scent and decided to buy it in a local mall; and used it regularly. Got troubles in some airports since the bottle is quite big for that small fragrance volume. Then after the 3rd bottle, suddenly I got bored. It lacks personality. Boring is the exact word that I can find. I decided that I needed more exploration. And I never miss this fragrance since then.

    My favorite.
I use this for the gym and late night clubbing with the lads, it is sporty and masculine.
When it ends I will definitely buy the Parfum version because it’s not that strong. Pity, this would be a top 1 compliment grabber if it had stronger longevity and sillage.

Severe underrated fragrance, this is a superb edt, with very good quality of ingredients -taking into account its price. I believe it deserves at least – a 4.20 mark rather than 3.51. The wonderful – as always review of Casiano reflects also my point of view. Thank you Casiano! Please thoroughly read his review in order to fully understand and somehow to feel the magic of this potion!

Excellent work wear scent. Don’t let the poor sillage discourage you. the overall composition and the longevity is good. definite Middle eastern, oriental vibe to it. My recommendation: blindbuy it for work wear, you shall not be disappointed. Stay away from the parfum version though.

Light citrus opening quickly enveloped by dark, woody, spicy notes. Just enough sweetness from tonka and patchouli, but the incense and vetiver keep it all all grounded. Ok, enough of the technical description. This fragrance is one of the best things I’ve smelled. Seriously, this ticks all the boxes for me. Definitely a sensual night fragrance, but being from Issey Miyake, it remains light enough to wear in any occasion.
I am surprised the reviews for this fragrance are all over the map. I can’t understand how such a high quality scent as this is rated lower than cheap Michael Germain junk on this site. Fragranticans… Allow me to take the liberty of settling the issue once and for all: this is an AMAZING scent- complex, unique, and full of character-a personal favorite.

Don’t let the bottle fool you. It doesn’t have any of the original DNA. We’re talking mature, dark and shall I say old? It’s a Dad smell..

Nuit d’Issey EDT is similar to the drydown of Bleu de Chanel’s EDP Version which is a woodsy, incense based fragrance with much less of the Grapefruit notes initially at the forefront. I get great performance with Nuit d’Issey EDT & Love It !!! However I would say to try & sample this if possible before blind buying as I beive it is an acquired taste & leans far more to a NIche scent than An

Is it me or does the drydown of this closely resemble Givenchy Play Intense?
It is a very great scent, out of the ordinary among designers. Green, woody and great longevity. I like this over the EDP version as this is more transparent and multi-faceted

  16. :

This is a real gem. It’s so much more interesting than most other designer winter fragrances out there yet still pleasing and safe to wear. I love how it makes no apologies for how spicy it is. The spices and incense are very strong in this fragrance with a nice leather backdrop and the citrus does brighten it up a bit. There is also no question about it, this is super masculine. I just don’t see women pulling this off. It’s also very affordable. I’m very happy I discovered this fragrance. It is unique. I really haven’t smelled anything that’s exactly like it.
What’s the downside you might ask? The performance is not great. I’m lucky to get more than 4 hours out of one wearing.

  17. :

    3 out of 5

tried it again since i saw it on discount as i remember the parfum version which is good – no, this one is just a no. very “flat” incense, if there is any here. how can an incense scent be without any depth?
there is some green stuff in the opening that mostly comes out as parsley! yes, parsley.
drydown is some synthetic dirt that again just falls flat.
where is that incense and tonka bean?
this one seems just like an unfinished study for the perfume version.
it’s strong enough and lasts already for the 6th hour on my arm, if that’s a good thing with such a scent?!

  18. :

    4 out of 5

I would summarize this complex and complicated fragrance by saying: “Your Mileage May Vary”
Based on many of the positive reviews and the pyramid of notes, I did a blind buy on this one. With prominent leather, woods, and incense, I was expecting something more along the lines of John Varvatos, something a bit sweeter.
It opens on an extremely (to my nose) bitter note. Harshly bitter. I haven’t quite sorted it yet, but I think it’s the way the bergamot is interacting with the incense. It makes me think of what burning bergamot rind might smell like.
I suppose I can say it gets ever so slightly better as those harsh opening notes start to fade and more of the pepper and spices (and just the faintest hint of tonka bean) start to come through, but the bitter edge never completely goes away.
I’m not trashing this fragrance. In a weird way, I think that bitter note will eventually grow on me and become something I want to smell on certain specific occasions. But that’s just it. This will be an “occasional use” fragrance for me whenever my curiosity gets the better of me and I want to see if my nose is adapting to it.
It dies down to a skin scent after about 3-5 hours, so at least if you don’t like it you won’t be stuck with it all day.
Don’t blind buy this one, try it first and make sure you like the bitter darkness. Your mileage may vary.

Nice bottle and box with black color. The spray is very good distribution and soft. It smells fresh citrus and the dry down reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez for Him. Not too strong and tend to soft. I think it is safe fragrance for the office.

  20. :

I tested today, the opening was’t very promising but the dry down to die for, the grapefruit gives a unique personalty to this fragrance, imagine incense, leather and grapefruit….magical….give it a try

  21. :

This is a beautiful scent which really shines in the colder weather. There is a dark, mysterious and warming vibe running through the scent created by incense, leather, wood and spices behind a citrus top to create a very smooth, slightly sweet, appealing composition.
Excellent longevity and sillage, particularly in colder conditions.
Top quality Winter fragrance at an affordable price.
    8/10

sampled this at the mall today and whoa, too much!!! the opening is right up in your face and very offensive, beware. As that extremely offensive spice dissipates, I get this intriguing leathery, dark, mysterious in the woods feel to it. It is the first time trying it and I think this deserves another try. Its another complex Issey scent like Bleu that takes time to figure out and appreciate it for what it has to offer.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

On me… Nuit d’Issey is in-your-face incense & a bit of leather.. dries down to a somewhat “green” incense, slightly musky scent.. very underrated, but not mass-appealing… great as a signature scent in the colder weather..

  24. :

So strong it can be smelled from 3 parsecs from earth.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

Severely underrated fragrance. I can’t tell you how many compliments this gets if you wear it out. Beautiful fresh leather and incense with a hint of citrus freshness.
    Love this.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

i just get fresh. incense-y nondescript designer woods. performance is good, but it is disappointing for what I expected from the note breakdown. It’s not remotely heavy, dark or ~smokey~; it’s incredibly wearable and a pleasant designer leather in the vein of armani code. it’s probably my mistake to come looking for CDG level woody incense, but I was let down either way.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Love all of the notes listed so was really taken aback how screechy and loud this is. Cant do it. Wanted to. Even waited an hour for the drydown but by then the mood was ruined.
To its credit, it is beast mode so if you find this scent appealing that should be a big plus.

  28. :

Nuit d Issey is a fantastic take on a night fragrance. It is all pumped up on citruses, leather, woods, vetiver, cocoa, and patchouli. It harkens back to something very 80’s, very powerhouse. This big, bold scent is framed perfectly by some light incense and vetiver. Nuit d’ Issey is linear, but thats not a bad thing. This is a very rich masculine scent, and does veer towards the 30 and up crowd. Nuit d Issey is a performer and lasts a good 8 plus hours on my skin. I find this fragrance to offer something of an alternative to the sweeter, cleaner night scents. I could see this being worn on the nights you’re out with friends and drinks are just the start, but you know you’ll end up somewhere else much later in the night.

  29. :

All I smell is wood, incense and something heavy (leather maybe).
Would not wear this one under any circumstance, unless I’m 35+, on a night out.

@afterdark: I’m speaking about TEXTURE. Not scent, but TEXTURE, which is provided by the spicy notes. As I said, they don’t smell alike, but I think it’s important to note the texture, rather than just the smell, for those out there who are likely to blind buy this.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Sorry Tony but this is absolutely nothing like Armani Code and even less like YSL L Homme. L’Homme is my absolute favorite and i dont like this Nuit from Issey Miyakey. Its a complete different genre. This Nuit is strooong, dark and strange while YSL L’Homme is bright, sweet, cozy, silky and very bright.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

Very low sillage and longevity, Light fragrance, somewhat elegant and not offensive to anyone. My problem is that it has such poor sillage and after it seemed about an hour it was a skin scent only, if that. My grade is a D…not an F as the fragrance when first spraying is elegantly nice.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

This is a tough one. You can interpret this two ways. Depending on your mood this can smell a bit like Only The Brave Tattoo, or it can smell a bit like a urinal cake. Overall, I dont like it. Longevity is decent though

  34. :

    4 out of 5

This is creeping closer to my Top 5 every time I wear it.
I smelled this for the first time while buying Bleu De Chanel and I liked it so much that I questioned my decision to buy BdC and almost got this instead. I couldn’t stop sniffing the test strip!
I LOVE the incense in this scent! This is easily my favorite incense note I’ve ever smelled. The incense is similar to Bleu De Chanel, but that’s as far as the similarities go. It has a spicy texture similar to Armani Code or YSL L’Homme and its flankers, but with a woody resinous scent that’s just perfectly sweetened. Dark and woody. Nothing else I’ve smelled really smells quite like this does.
It’s sensual, yet calming. It stands out without standing out too far. It’s strong but not cloying, lasts 9+ hours, fits casual, professional, AND nights out, and it’s also VERY affordable. What more could you ask for?!

  35. :

    3 out of 5

I seem to be in the minority, I think, but I VASTLY prefer the EDT to the EDP version. This reads very timeless on my skin, and is somehow classy and carnal at the same time. I’ve worn it to formal events and more casual nights out at a club or bar, and I feel it works in either situation. My best friend always calls this my “sex cologne” when I wear it, and it does give that hyper-masculine vibe more so than any current fragrance I own.
This cologne is STRONG. Silage for me is extreme, and it’s long lasting. One spray on each wrist and one or two sprays on the neck, and you and those around you will be smelling it for hours to come. If you don’t like a loud fragrance, I wouldn’t recommend this. It also feels out of place when I wear it in the day, unlike some other “masculine” fragrances I wear that are more universal in temporal terms.
Still love this, and I’ll be sad when I run out. It is lasting me a while as it is more of a special occasion scent for me.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

This isn’t for me, but I veer toward unisex fragrances for a reason: so many mens colognes smell like guys waiting in line to get into a nightclub (with an open shirt and neck chains). I really don’t like musky, strong, in your face scents, and this is right up there with those kind. I put this is next to: Paco Rabanne Millionaire, Burberry Touch, Mr. Burberry, and anything by John Varvatos. In short, this is strong, musky and in your face. If this is your thing, go for it.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Not unique in particular, but nice enough to try or buy at a good price.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

For the price, this is one of the best compliment getting fragrances that I have. It is very inoffensive in my opinion. I think it smells great. Definitely test this on skin and allow it to settle for a few minutes before evaluating. It takes s few minutes for the real magic to develop.
Solid fragrance and value. Projection and sillage are great and longevity is average.

I was sure there was civet in the opening! It is really bad, like someone said, you have to survive first 30 minutes of pepper spray. But the drydown is amazing! I get florals mixed with leather and still something animalic, maybe not civet, but castoreum for sure…a dark and dirty scent, with noticable leather, tonka and some wood. Too bad that first 2 hours are horrible, because drydown phoenomenal! Dislike, unfortunately, because of the first two hours of the fragrance.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

I just got a sample of it (together with many Amouage, By Kilian and Acqua di Parma samples) and I was quit surprised by the smell of it. I got La Nuit de L’homme vibes at first sight but it smells different ofc. Fresh, casual with some sweetness in it and not so unique, just like many other designer perfumes. I do enjoy the smell but I would not buy a full bottle since I will never be able to use it so often.
    Scent: 8/10
    Longevity: 7/10
    Projection: 7/10
    Price: 9/10

  43. :

    5 out of 5

So, just few things, which more or less have already been said – if you manage to survive through the opening of this fragrance, once you get past the initial 30-40 minutes of pepper spray in your nose, spice explosion in your face kind of, well, for me it turnes into something, I dare to say divine, or at least very very very pleasent and I just couldn’t stop sniffing on it. I don’t detect any resemblance whatsoever to the original L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme but I also don’t presume that it was the intention behind this one. Ladies find it interesting and actually like it. I personally don’t see myself wearing it, as it is a bit too intense in the opening.

I am no bloodhound. I may be scent-blind, so do keep that in mind;) So…It was my first try at the Issey frags. And it is…Nice. Like politically correct nice. It is taking me to my happy place somehow.Nothing strong. Nothing spicy. Just warm and cosy. I do appreciate it. I do like it. But I will not wear it.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I haven´t tried EdP version, but EdT goes very green and citrusy on my skin, I get mostly vetiver and lime and overall impression is very close to vintage Rochas Moustache (1948). I´d recommend to wear this in summer but as most of other reviewers find the incense and woods the most promiment notes, I feel a bit confused about that 🙂 However, it gets a bit sweeter during the drydown..
    not bad at all 7.5/10

  49. :

    5 out of 5

I quiet like this, had a couple of compliments as well. On my skin it needs some body heat to start performing well. Ideal for summer nights or workplace winter indoors.

  50. :

    5 out of 5

What can I say? It is really strong in the opening. I sprayed the fragrance three times, that was a mistake. It just burns through your nostrils (made me dizzy). But after about a minute, it turns quite nice, peppery, some incense and leather. It is definitely not a cuddly fragrance, it feels like some clubbing fragrance as it could blast through every other smell on the dancefloor. All in all, it’s not for everyone. If you’re a sensual type of guy, go for something else. If you want to be noticed, do go for it. I’d say it would work best outdoors in the winter as it can be a bit too cloying in a room.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

The opening to me smells like burnt rubber, awful. After the drydown its gorgeous, but not too different from Armani Code. I`ll stick with Code.

  52. :

    3 out of 5

I agree, theres a mistery in this fragance. Sometimes we need to open other way to feel what we experience in life. Olfative reality is a way to understand a relation between nature and human, what we smell is an abstract entity that brings a message in some way, a fragance brings something to our memory and inner wishes.
Nuit is intricate and sublime, evokes a mistery but what could be that ? maybe the answer is around a mystical vibe with something that connect that kind of relation with nature, the sense of deepness and all that subjetive emotions about an unseen reality, maybe a forest, night, magic, wood, greeness, incense and moon.
Nuit d´Issey would open a door, depends of your reality understand what could bring.

  53. :

    5 out of 5

I thought it would be more special and sweet, because others say it’s too sweet and incense/smoky, but hell now, I find it generic masculine stuff. I tried in the shop and I can feel some bitter notes that ruin the whole scent. It’s classic and little bit old, doesn’t smell spicy or sporty or oriental and not something modern or fresh clean. I don’t think the other woman like or find this scent sexy and seductive, suits more for office/job activity.

  54. :

    5 out of 5

A slight edge over others of this ilk. Sadly, most perfumes for men seem to continually copy or mock each other, leaving nothing of any individualism for the men who use them.
Seems these days the more you pay the less you get.

My husband just bought it. I smell mainly incense, wood and leather. To my nose it’s masculine and old-fashioned in a nice way. I quite like it.
Edit: No, sorry, I was wrong. A few months later I can safely say now, that it’s not for my nose at all. Too much “old”, too much “masculine”.

I like this fragrance as I am into the darker woodier fragrances. This has a lot of dark notes and is pretty strong and lasting overall without being obnoxious or offensive. I think it has longevity and projection strength. I’ve never really gotten into Miyake scents so this is a first for me. I like the ebony tree mixed with other woody notes. This fragrance pairs a lot of my favorites, incense (done right), tonka, leather, bergamot, spices and black pepper. The lemon evens it out and you have a really full and lasting scent. It also does develop a bit but stays true throughout. Maybe not an everyday scent but something for a late night affair. Some people have claimed longevity is not great, but the scent is still identifiable on a sample card several days later. The parfum must pack a punch.

  60. :

    5 out of 5

This just ends up smelling of bubblegum, pretty much from start to finish. Can’t work out what’s going on there really? I’m not getting anything that’s listed in the notes. Odd.

  61. :

    3 out of 5

Not a unique smelling fragrance at all. It’s like they took the most popular men’s fragrance notes and poured them in a bottle and called it good. Sweet tonka bean base, black pepper, patchouli, incense spices, and a little citrus. Done! It actually smells like the air around a men’s fragrance counter in a department store.
I really enjoy wearing this however. If you are a fragrance snob that demands something original and unique, I’d look elsewhere.
Longevity is good though it’s a bit on the weak side. I find L’eau D’Issey Intense to be much stronger than this. While Intense still has some of the original L’eau D’Issey DNA in it Nuit does not. I like them both and have mixed feelings about the original.

I had a tester. At first I found it a bit disappointing but quite soon I considered it to be very intruiging. I don’t think it’s a crowdpleaser but I really liked it . Wearing this, you’ll probably stand out. I didn’t buy a bottle but I’m still considering a purchase, maybe when I find it on sale.

    I don’t like this one….I much prefer L’Eau Bleue.

  66. :

    3 out of 5

This scent gives me a strange deja vu, old school vibe like some male perfumes from the 1990s but pimped to a 2010s level with some extra accessories. Dry woody notes, with incense thrown in. Fresh and herbal with vetiver and a somewhat synthetic leather, also some patchouli rubbed in the mix with ISO-E Super. Not sure what scent the “ebony tree” in the note pyramid leaves though ?? The dry citrusy feel from most other Miyake offerings is clearly visible.
Longevity is not very impressive, I get about 4 hours max before it’s gone. Not something I’d wear to a club for attention.
Conclusion : very safe and pleasing but… rather boring.

Another one from Issey Miyake that just doesn’t agree with me. Much like L’eau D’Issey Pour Homme Intense, I get a weird hot tar/cement stink. I really don’t understand where they were going with this. A real scrubber.

I tried this twice and decided to re-review it because I actually grew fond of it.
The top is not distinguishable because its well blended with the heart/mid notes. So youll get most of the heart up top with a spritz of citrus.
The heart starts opening up a bit and you get a blend of cedar, vetyver, and a tad of leather. At this stage id like to point out that smelling the dry down a few inches away from your nose is important. Altogether the notes are cloying and you should really smell the drydown as its diffusing in the air. This is why I gave this scent another shot.
The base isnt all too present but you can smell the patchouli, incense and tonka sealing the deal.
Although this frag has a quality feel it isnt all that unique. I wouldn’t blind buy it Id try this first in store or buy a small sample as I did. Might be your cup of tea, might not be.
Overall: A modern-classy masculine frag. Id reccomend for a nice dinner or gathering, definitely not casual. 8/10

Love the smokey/leathery scent, the dry down has a slight DNA from Issey Intense.Good stuff though, different from the other L’eau D’issey’s. You would get compliments with this.
    **** stars for me .

This fragrance is the best from the house of Issey Miyake. This scent definitely means night. When it hits the skin it feels like you’ve been hit with an ice ball it’s really cooling. And when the dry down begins it smells like the leather and pepper have been mixed and gives it a sensual vibe. I love this fragrance and it reminds me of Hugo Boss Night. I would recommend this scent to all. 10 star rating for this amazing fragrance.

I like this fragrance. It’s not a wow factor at the start, but to me, the dry down is an excellent scent. I was more impressed with it’s performance. It has a perfect amount of silage in my opinion. I can smell a hint of the scent when I move around. It has great longevity. It lasted on my arm for hours, threw a shower and into the next morning.
I will definitely be buying a bottle to replace my Luna Rossa Extreme scent.

    My favorite incense-based fragrance!
This woody, spicy incense fragrance is one of the most dreamy, most romantic, most relaxing, & most confidence-enhancing smells I’ve ever came across.
I’ve truly fallen for this fragrance head over heel!
This fragrance is not for everyone. It has a dark, mysterious dimension to it that a lot may not enjoy. But for me, it just clicked!

This version didn’t receive the same prefix of its predecessors, but is part of the famous line of fragrances that has begun with L’Eau D’Issey, in 1994. In fact, this is the only criticism that I do, since it could be perfectly called L’Eau D’Issey pour Homme Nuit. Apart from that, only compliments.
The manufacturer says that the concept of the fragrance is a ray of light in the darkness of the night. Nuit D’Issey has notes of bergamot and grapefruit, in the output; Black pepper, leather, vetiver, exotic spices and woody accord, in the heart; Patchouli, frankincense, tonka bean and ebony wood, in the base.
On my skin, it didn’t behave as a variation of the original cologne, but as one of its versions: L’Eau D’Issey Intense. And I was not surprised about that, since the latter also features bergamot, spices and incense in its composition. The biggest difference is in the presence of tonka bean, which gives an almondy and sensual aroma, kind of creamy, during the evolution.
The heart of the fragrance lingers for hours, with a more versatile aura, which I attribute to the use of pepper and leather, which is almost raw. However, at the same time, it’s not the same leather of niche fragrances, with dry aspect.
The projection and the lasting are fantastic. On my skin, even after 10 hours of use, kept yielding praise. And I was not feeling the projection anymore, because of the olfactory fatigue. But, as far as I can tell, it just kept exuding.
Honestly, I was amazed to read several negative comments about this scent. That’s okay if it sounds as biased praise, since I’m a fan of L’Eau D’Issey Intense and, as I said, they have a connection. Besides, it’s not a very different cologne than has been already seen. On the contrary, it can remember some fragrances from the 80’s and 90’s, within the woody families. Anyway, I loved it!
And I can tell you: don’t be fooled by the name or the concept of a nocturnal fragrance. It fits very well in those days when you need a scent that cross the afternoon and stay alive until the end of the night.
Not to fail to mention, the bottle kept the visual identity of the line, in dark color. If you look the bottle against the light, it features a gradient from dark-gray to black. For me, it deserves 10 stars!

    Bof.
Absolutely not convinced by this juice. I do not understand why this one is still in production. Does not contribute in any way to the great world of perfumery. Synthectic in a bad way, and pointless. Doesn’t even “smell good” like Hugo Boss or Bleu de Chanel which are without soul, too.
    Plus it doesn’t last long.

miyake strikes again with herbal bomb. ok. it’s a green salad. and dirt. yes, dirt. more dirt than ever. it’s not, musky, sexy dirty, it’s just… green salad pulled through the mud and then not washed.
    not very impressed, mr. miyake.

By memory, the closest scent this remembers me is Azzaro Night Time. A more balanced scent, I would say. Doesn’t feel spicy enought to me, just a woody-smoky scent, not so strong. Not bad, but far from thrilling about it.

I have tested this enough to form this opinion about Nuit d Issey and that is it is the most unusual from the original pour Homme and I like it for that reason, at the same time it is not going to be remembered like the classic, floral, beautiful and original ISSEY Miyake.
Everyone also is correct in the notes that it generates. It has a very powerful, mesmerizing masculine incense but not overpowering by banging you over the head. It is tempered with this Tonka bean sweetness and spices that were really intrig
