Description
The Italian house of Acqua di Portofino presents their new fragrance NOTTE aimed at people who enjoy evening hours, meditation, peace and quiet. This is another fragrance of the collection which closely describes Portofino, the pearl of the Liguria Riviera and offers another face. The fragrant face is moonlit … When citizens of this town go to sleep and the night becomes a peaceful oasis in a magic way, this small town becomes the perfect place for pleasure, tranquility and relaxation of all senses. The scent of the sea, Mediterranean herbs and salty air intoxicate us and invite for long walks along the promenade, where peace and scents show their greatest power.
The composition of the fragrance ACQUA DI PORTOFINO NOTTE provides us with freshness and saltiness, citrus drops of lemon and olive leaves aromas, and it will take us for long walks along the promenade in Portofino. The warmth and comfort of summer nights are described by the sweetness of flowers while accentuating intense sweet flavors of butterbush (pittosporum), honeysuckle and aquatic jasmine. For a full relaxation of all sense, base notes introduce scents of olive wood and highlight the Mediterranean character. By combining olive tree accords with amber and sensual, creamy musk, the fragrance becomes deeper, durable and long-lasting.
Fragrance Acqua di Portofino Notte arrives in flacons of the same form as previous editions, in the amount of 100 ml Eau de Toillete Intense. The new flacon is colored in dark blue and its outer carton is black, with the logo of the brand. The fragrance is expected on the market in Spring 2015.
The nose behind this fragrance is Maurizio Cerizza.

Masculine, but feminine at the same time. My wife says it’s too manly for her to wear but I find it too womanly. I do get a slight Drakkar Noir vibe from this, just a little fresher, but floral, musky, woody, like the old 80s warhorse. This perfume conjures this image in my mind: You see a beautiful individual on a summer evening on the Miami beach, pink linen shirt open at the collar, wearing short jorts. Beautiful curls adorn bronzed shoulders. This person turns toward you and…and… yes, it’s Kenny G! Or….is it Glenn Close?

The majority of niche fragrances are unisex. Probably for marketing purposes

The notes looks very very interesting.
I would imagine this to be a proper good night out fragrance for summer…
Will update once I have tested or bought the fragrance.

Ah! Another unisex cologne! Is this a marketing gimmick to channel patronage? #justasking
