Description
10 years of the brand are celebrated with the new edition No10 White Oud which glorifies 10 years of successful work and creations by Agonist. No 10 White Oud is also the 10th fragrance of the collection Agonist following fragrance Solaris, and it had its premiere in September 2014 at Pitti Fragranze in Florence.
AGONIST has created a unique and truly exceptional perfume that combines the depth of OUD with the light and crisp feeling of the Scandinavian north. Exotic touches of ylang ylang flowers, patchouli, and tonka beans are balanced with cypriol and a poetic white musk accord. The composition opens with accords of ylang-ylang and lily of the valley, replaced in the heart by May rose, violet, patchouli and tonka. The base is built of sensual white musk aromas combined with cypriol, wood and ambergris. Uniqueness of the composition is reflected in the number of ingredients, which is also 10, selected intentionally to accompany 10 years of the house Agonist.
“Our tenth fragrance is the fruit of our ambition to challenge traditional uses of raw materials with a singular artistic Nordic vision.”
This fragrance is the true manifesto of ten years of a unique approach and passionate contribution to the perfumer’s world. An homage to all AGONIST followers, conceived of especially for this occasion by the creative minds behind AGONIST.
Fragrance Agonist White Oud is available as 50ml Eau de Parfum.

Just stumpbled on your review by accident, & what you said about it being soapy rather than oudy really caught my eye, because I would say exactly the same about Bond №9 Bond №9, or Signature as it’s popularly called, which is an extremely soapy fragrance with oud. I have written a review of it in which I strongly emphasise this quality of the fragrance, and was motivated by the same puzzlement as to how an oudy fragrance can come across as soapy.
I think really this is just part of the wondrousness of the oud note, in the way it can make so many so different olfactory faces, depending on how precisely it is treated & nurtured.

First impression: “Oh no, I bought men’s cologne!” Learning a lesson from SO many Guerlain scents, I relaxed for a bit to let it settle.
Settled impression: “This is men’s cologne.”
Impression after I put it on my husband, who doesn’t ever wear any scent: “Omg this is INCREDIBLE on you.”
Not good on me; on him… I want to ravage him.

This one reminds me allot of soapy ambergris, and white lilies mix. It’s quite soapy rather than oudi, like a foamy soapy mix. So it’s more of white musk with ylang, white floral, & hints of vetiver. Violets, and roses are there and no oud detected.
I remember long ago when it was first released allot of people who used it claimed it’s a flop cause it was too weak and very light compared to their other fragrances.
It is fair for the ones who seeks clean musk, and soapy foamy mixture, but i don’t see it as a standout for a 10 years anniversary! it should’ve been a hit and a creation that would burst their brand up, & unfortunately not this one.

Ooo yes yes I like it a lot!Flowers and oud – what a perfect combination! Some oud fragrances are heavy and powerful, this one as the name white is much more subtle but still has that beautiful hint of oud! Love it!The musk is the most prominent component I would say but I love musk.

I had a good experience with this: on me it smells clean, longevity and sillage either are good. Musc is the main note I get. The very drydown gives a tiny touch of oud given by the mixture of different ingredients: the ingredients list doesn’t include any oud indeed.

OF COURSE THERE IS NO OUD BECAUSE IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHAT AN OUD WOULD SMELL LIKE IF THERE WAS ONE IN SCANDINAVIA. IT’S INTERPRETIVE. I LIKE IT.

Hey! Guys! What are you doing on that page?! It’s absolutely feminine scent! And it’s gorgeous! You’ve got the Dark Saphir and Onyx Pearl and I even ready to give you Dark Amber …. but this one?! No! Go away! 🙂
An amazing blend of something heavenly where the musk notes are very dominant and around them some flowers, patchouli, and oud are dancing very complicated dance.
Strange thing, at the beginning you dive into the saturated and dense substance and as you go up, the scent became lighter and lighter. But it doesn’t mean it fades away. No. Staying power is overwhelming. But it seems like the whole pyramid just up side down: base notes come first and the top notes last forever on my skin.
Beautiful, complex, and unforgettable perfume!

I got my hands on this scent when I bought Agonist sample box. I have tried alle the fragrances, and are writing reviews and my opinions on their works.
My first impression was positive and it felt as a clean and fresh feminine scent.
So what do I get out of this fragrance?
This is indeed a very familiar scent as many soap bars and cream soaps are scented with a combo like this. Like Dove cream soap. Classic rose patchouli and ylang ylang combo. Even though it’s not listed I get a note of green tea? Anyone?
Anyone claiming that this frag contains oud is the joker of the pack, I have come across white oud fragrances, but none as anonymous as this soapy mess. Also the scent diminishes quickly, and the scent is gone after 1 – 1 1/2 hour.
Really disappointed in this fragrance.
Overall rating: 2/10

And by the way… There is no oud in this one. One can read what notes it’s in it on flacon and oud is not there.

It smells like washing powder and Mentos. Cheap and synthetic. I had high expectations on this one but it’s bad, really bad. Agonist is a great house with very nice scents, like Dark Saphir and Onyx Pearl. But they didn’t success with this one. I can’t smell the Agonist in it.
