Guerlain presents the new collection of fragrances in Colour Collection Flacon Quadrilobé, featuring five fragrances from the exclusive offer. The new collection is a response to the challenge of creating associations and synthesis between certain colors and scents. The iconic Guerlain Quadrilobé bottle was created by Baccarat in 1908 for Jacques Guerlain’s perfume Rue de la Paix. The bottle, which is now produced by Verreries Brosse, is used for private and exclusive collections.
For Colour Collection, the famous bottle is presented in five different colors for the first time, referring to five types of precious gems. Each bottle comes in a luxurious amethyst box with the Guerlain symbol of the sun. The gemstone-colored bottles contain five different fragrances selected from the Les Exclusifs collection: the sapphire bottle contains L’Heure de Nuit (2012), the ruby bottle features Oriental Brûlant (2008), Santal Royal (2014) comes in a green bottle that represents emerald, amber is the color of Spiritueuse Double Vanille (2007), and amethyst is the color for L’Eau de Parfum du 68 (2013).
Santal Royal leads into the world of the mysterious Oriental woods with emerald green. The scent contrasts sandalwood, jasmine, rose, leather and oud.
Colour Collection Flacon Quadrilobé perfumes are available in bottles of 125 ml at the price of 650 Euros. They will be sold starting in June 2016 in the Guerlain boutique at Place Vendome. The nose behind this fragrance is Thierry Wasser.

Sweet wood, too sweet, soon dries down to a smoky incense and oud. I prefer Creed’s Royal Oud to this.
Zabotinigor – :
A fine quality and perhaps timeless scent. I could see the slight similarity with Halfeti but it lacks the aromatic notes. This is warm, resinous and woody. If you can’t handle oud then test with care or maybe not at all.
Leather/oud warmed by Amber/peach/rose with a hint of spice. Gradually the flowers wain and it becomes a little more about musky wood notes. The dry down is pretty special. Great longevity as you would expect.
A nice warm oud scent but it doesn’t excite me enough to go fb. I will stick with my Penhaligons Halfeti. Very classy as you would expect of a Guerlain. I guess a cold weather scent as it would be too much in heat.

This is pure heaven. I love the green bottle shown but I have the “bee” shaped bottle with gold emblem on it.
Anyway. I have been searching for a rich, oriental, rose/cinnamon and had been told it didn’t exist. It does, it’s Santal Royal and it is *heaven.*
I’m wearing her in public for the first time today and two people asked me what I was wearing and used the word “heavenly” to describe it.
If you like bright, super sweet modern fragrances steer far, far away. This is rich, dark, smoked and spiced. The rose isn’t young, it’s an antique rose sprawling like an octopus in an old hedgerow. You catch the scent of it as you go by and it’s haunting.
It has melted perfectly into the spicy accord that’s dominated (on me) by cinnamon, and grounded in wood. I don’t get any leather which is good because leather scents smell horrid on me.

A sniff of the bottle before spraying… Hmmm… This reminds me of perfume I have… A spritz to the back of my hand and – yes! – I am right.
This is similar to my most complimented perfume – Wisal Dhahab Ajmal – if a little more rosy.
The Guerlain is stunningly good, but the Ajmal is nearly its equal, whilst being about 1/4 of the price (although the Ajmal bottle has nothing on that of the Guerlain, which is just beautiful).

It’s a breath taking scent. I love the peach and cinnamon note in this one. It’s longevity and sillage are very good. Long lasting scent. On me all day. The notes are comforting, and balance one another out in perfect harmony. The bottle is beautiful as well. It’s a sexy scent, would be great for a date night. I’m a huge Guerlain fan anyway, I love most anything from my favorite house.
