You would think it would be easy to find a true neroli soliflore out there but Profumum Roma Neroli is the only one I’ve found to capture the true scent of a blooming bitter orange tree on a breezey summer afternoon. The supporting notes of petitgrain and bitter orange fruit softly sharpen the formula on one end (treble) while myrrh deepens it on the other (bass). Squarely in the middle is gorgeous, realistic, marshmellowy neroli. I had a tiny sample and it lasted quite awhile because this is a rich, concentrated perfume. Nothing unique or complex here but it is an outstanding Neroli option if that’s what you are looking for.

Flowery, powered by neroli…I don’t get too much else. I like it but it is somewhat feminine and I’d not recomment wearing in the office. For that after shower, clean flowery feeling, this is a great fragrance. Not beastly but no weakling either.

Profumum Neroli is one of the more interesting takes on a neroli-dominant scent that I’ve had the pleasure to sample lately. It smells of not only the general idea of neroli, but also of a hearty petitgrain that provides a raw earthiness to complement the usual brightness of the neroli vibe, made possible via the inclusion of orange blossom (it’s not clear if neroli is actually a listed note, or, if like Orangea, it smells like orange blossom without actually having orange blossom in it).
It’s a fine performer, on par with most of the warm-weather Profumum offerings, but a hard sell for me at the usual $250 due to the lack of superlative strength or scent.
Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Forte remains the king neroli for me, and while much more exorbitantly priced itself, I still find it more worthwhile than an entry like Profumum’s Neroli. Still, Profumum’s is a worthy take on the concept–worthy of sampling, for sure.

Engaging combination of bitter orange and neroli, with the bitter orange being more pronounced on my skin. It’s the first time I’ve had the pleasure of bitter orange as a dominant note. Known also as Marmelade Orange, orange, but with a biting tart characteristic. This combo works well together, it keeps the neroli from being too sweet. Underneath it has a touch of something that smells a bit like dried hay to me – not sure what it is. All of this separates this perfume from the pack as far as neroli perfumes. Sillage somewhat close to the skin. Longevity is wonderful – I smelled it for hours.

Scent – neroli & orange flower.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the warmer months, day or night.
    Projection – I didn’t get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
    Longevity – I get 6hrs consistently.

Shushkin and the_badger before me said it best; this is neroli at its truest and finest. Nothing else comes close to it. I have been searching for several years for that aromatic and uncomplicated orange blossom that I had found in LUSH Orange Blossom, cruelly discontinued for reasons unknown. I tried Tom Ford Neroli Portofino and what a stinker THAT was. Jo Malone’s was sour and bland, as was Yves Rocher’s. I tried and dismissed many others before finding this.
This is IT if you want that walking-through-an-orange-tree-grove sensation. No green leaves or twiggy elements to render it bitter or sour (as in Tom Ford’s NP). I have never understood the need to put twigs and leaves in a fragrance anyway. The flower itself is what smells so good; why muck it up with unnecessary elements? Profumum Roma respects the blossom and leaves it pure and aromatic as it naturally is.
I personally do not detect the myrrh here, but I understand it works as a sort of fixative. Whatever the case, this reminds me so much of the orange flower water some older female relatives had in their homes while I was growing up in the South, with a crucial difference: longevity is endless and cost is through the roof. Worth every penny though!

This has got to be one of the closest fragrances to capturing the real neroli fragrance. Love it. Its smells natural. I think Ive found a fab neroli fragrance. Its potent juice, not too sweet and truly unisex. I can imagine that some ladies might not find it sweet and soft enough to feel comfortable wearing. Its so fresh and zingy. The myrhh and orange flower really work well with it. I guess we can thank the myrhh for extending the longevity. I grow orange flower and you can detect it and I think it does a fine job of softening the edges of the neroli to create perfection. I cant wait to wear it on our rare warm days or night. Pricey juice but worth every penny.

My search for the holy grail of Neroli fragrances is finally over! Best orange blossom I have ever laid my nose on! Beats Acqua di Parma Essenza and Neroli Portofino hands down! I feel this one sits right between AdP and NP, it has NP’s predominant african orange and AdP’s neroli. And the longevity to make it worthwhile. Lovely.
    Update.
I do feel AdP might be a bit more complex but performance wise, Profumum is still No.1
Have been wearing this today, I must say it does remind me a bit of floor cleaners.

Beautiful combination of sweetly soapy true fresh orange flower and neroli. I like these notes with the myrrh because of the contrasting elements each brings to the overall impression. The contrasting dynamic to balance the sweet beauty by the frankincense but also the ethereal component that incense has yielding an ethereal vibe with the sweetness of orange flower and neroli. Lasts at least 8 hours easily.

I love exploring neroli compositions. This one is very “true” in the sense that it is sunny, yet very rich – like a walk through an actual grove. It lasts for hours on my oily skin and does not turn sour or lose any of the orangey components, which makes this fragrance worth it to me.

If Neroli is a scent you like, there are so many other choices you may like better., starting with Tom Ford Neroli. Neroli Profumun Roma is notably a buttery cedar wood scent, not for me.

Lemony, powdery, soapy, floral. Well-done- balanced, a bit too feminine for my taste. Over time, wood-notes become prominent, and the base is definitely musk and I believe I detect civet. It flows from day-wear to evening seamlessly- and has the longevity to do so!
