This is a fragrance for an active and romantic man who lives by his own rules. The face of the scent is TV host Caster Oosterhouse, a truly romantic person and a good nautician.
The composition opens with cold, green notes of leaves and apple. There is a tender dewy mimose in the heart, which is blended with watery note of lotus and an interesting accord of linen sail of a yacht. The composition is laid on a woody base, combined of cedar, moss, musk and amber. The nose behind the perfume is Maurice Roucel. The fragrance was launched in 2006.

Recently acquired this cheapie. I’m guessing it’s the reformulated version because I’m getting a lot of Cucumber Melon notes at the beginning and not so much the green apple a lot of people are getting. Later settles down into the floral notes. Still wonderfully fresh and smells like some kind of cocktail (don’t know much about cocktails). Great price may convince some to blind buy.

Fresh cucumber scent perfect for going to supermarket, drive etc when you don’t have to care.
You will smell nice and fresh.
Still no match for more serious perfumes, this has been hyped beyond it’s capacity. There is is reason why this is not no.1 and the market does not lie. People aren’t stupid. Still at this price point you can’t complain!

For a cheapie this lasts a looooong time! Its really sharp, almost unpleasant, when you first apply it but it mellows down. This stay on my skin longer than the so called beast Sauvage, and i dont use more than 4 sprays! The ingredients are of course far from natural and its generic. BUT it smells really good and, in the end, thats what really counts.

One of the first fragrances I bought when I started getting into fragrances. I really liked it at first, but it’s one of those that you slowly realize you don’t like all that much anymore after you’ve worn it a bunch. You start to notice more subtle things or realize it wasn’t quite as good as you first thought.
I really started to notice the cucumber note, which smells more like the skin than the fresh crispy part of the cucumber. That’s what really tuned me off.
Don’t let what I’m saying stop you from buying it. It’s dirt cheap, smells great for the price and it’s easy to like. It smells good on other people, I just didn’t enjoy wearing it any more.

This is by far my favorite gym fragrance and summer in general. It’s salty marine, cucumber greenish scent leaves one wanting more wiffs 🙂 I used this probably the most in my 20’s. I also got the sport edition of this which is on the much sweeter side but I always go back to the voyager. It’s by far the best bang for buck.
Sure it may not have the best performance or silage but for barely $15 who can complain? Just respray! It’s a beautiful bottle as well that I always take to the gym. It works really well when you are working out. I remember smelling this first time many years ago on my gym friend and I asked him what it was (he definitely went crazy on the sprays). I got it pretty much next day. A staple in anyone’s collection.

OMG! I finally have it! This is fresh, clean, aquatic, natural smelling and pleasantly green! I see why people compare it to cucumber and other fresh grasses. For me this is the father of Invictus aqua, but so much better. To my nose this is more well blended and when it dries down you can definitely distinguish the aquatics and the greenery in it. Great performance and good smell. Cannot say anything bad about it!

This is actually my favorite for the hot weather, I find a lot of the other so called summer freshies can still be a bit much in the heat, this is just really fresh and no worries about choking people . Its price makes it really good value and the performance is pretty good in the summer, i seem to get about four hrs out of it and you can always carry a decant to refresh yourself. Its a scent that i cant really think of anything bad to say about it really. If your looking for something for the summer i would certainly give this a try before spending £60 on anything else.

This is a nice fragrance. To me, it screams both summer and marine. One of the first five fragrances that I bought after getting back into men’s fragrance again. It’s not my favorite but it’s just so easy to wear during the summer that I’ve used it quite a bit this season. It’s comfortable and casual. I definitely recommend it because while it may not become your favorite, most people (including me) really like it and few people dislike it. Not a showstopper but just pleasant. Hard to go wrong with this one and a great place to start a collection.

Marine, salty, sweet. In that order. Synthetic?…..yeah, so what?. I have personally done many tests many times using many glorified niche scents vs. designer scents and not once….a niche scent have won any of the tests. As a matter of fact, many times I have received the “yuck!” expression for many of the niche ones, with their “natural” ingredients (yeah right, natural!!!!. Tssss). Of those tests, Voyage have emerged always in the top 5. Together with other “synthetic messes”, like Versace Eros, Dior Sauvage, Bleau de Chanel, Versace Dylan Blue and Armani Code. But hey, it’s fine with me if you want to smell “natural” and totally unlikeable for every one else around you, but please….leave us with our synthetic messes, but pleasant scents to every one else, having fun with them, yes?.
Forgot to mentioned, you can get 200ml of Voyage for around $35. IMO, this is the best bang for your buck in existence today.

I paid like $14 for the 100ml metal cap version a few years back. I’ll start by saying people love the smell on me. It’s aquatic with some fruity notes somewhere buried under synthetic musk and “green” notes. To me it’s way too synthetic/chemically to stand. Instant headache so gave it away and my friend LOVES it.
Longevity was above average (5-7 hours) with a few hours of projection.
A 5.0/10 for me but seemingly enjoyed by the people around me. Lots of compliments on this but I couldn’t take the scent.

I had yet to review Nautica Voyage, because really, why? Everybody loves it and it deserves the love. We’ve heard it a thousand times.
It’s affordable, it’s well blended, it’s a crowd pleaser albeit being synthetic. Well… Big surprises, perfumes are synthetic. But Nautica Voyage does a good job at being a pleasant, mild, aquatic fragrance.
The green apple, right from the start, gives a fresh and sweety opening to the fragrance. Nothing gourmand, just sweet and light.
What does the job for me is the presence of lotus and musk. Lotus helps making the fragrance feels like a real aquatic one, without the help of ambroxan. And the musk makes it masculine, it really helps the dry down to stay masculine.
If you begin, or even if you’re an experienced player but still dont own this yet, give it a try. It’s affordable, it’s nice, it’s a good creation. It’s not displeasing in any way but there’s enough masculinity to it to be affirmative.
Finally, I would say it is ageless despite being targeted as a teen scent. Come on, it’s just a good aquatic scent. I feel legit pulling that stuff and im 39. I have many bottles in my collection and sometimes I go back to it. For it’s simple qualities, for the fact that you can use it anywhere, as long as the weather is, at least, mild.
My oonly downside is that it’s so well known, you could potentially smell like anyone. Same goes with Sauvage anyway. But how could it be a downside? If a fragrance is loved by people, why would you avoid it?

Nautica Voyage came out when I graduated from high school. I remember getting my first bottle of it as a gift from my father. I wore it all throughout college, through my early 20’s and still to this day I have a bottle. In fact, I’m wearing it right now! It’s 5:30pm as I type this and it’s still going strong from its 7:30am application.
Voyage is effortless, casual and fresh. Cucumber (even though it’s not listed), aquatic with a backbone of slightly sweet greenery. Never fails to be a crowd pleaser and a charmer. Easily in my top 5 most complimented of all time. I have one of the old metal-capped bottles and, as I stated earlier, it stays on my skin for 8-10 hours. It projects about 3-4 feet away from the wearer and has a decent sillage. I’m not sure how the new formulation performs.
There is such nostalgia wrapped up in this fragrance for me. It’s a winner at its price point and I’ll never be without it.

There’s not much i can say about this juice that hasn’t been said already. Nautica Voyage has to be the most hated cologne by all the big Name companies this little guy has been sticking it to all the Niche and Designer brands for 12 years with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. My nautica juice ran out about 6 years ago so i decided to move on to more sophisticated fragrances but something happen when i went to visit my son last week, i went to his room and there it was a bottle of voyage so i put one spray in my hand and walk away and boom the magic began all over again i could not stop smelling my hand while driving all the way home so end of story is i need to get me two bottles of this gem this time i’m going to marry this beauty for good til death do us apart!!!!!!

All I get is cucumber with this juice. I thought the comparisons to cucumber were merely exaggerated/imagined as it’s not in the note breakdown (like it is with say, CK One Shock…which I actually enjoy) but that’s 90% of what I get with this.
Just smelling the nozzle is yuck. To my nose, it’s the foulest, most offensive odor in my entire collection – and I wear Quorum and Lapidus Pour Homme regularly and in public.

If you are looking for a cheap beast for the summer time nautica voyage is the best option. The smell of this is fragrance is very good, I dont know why but i smell
a cucumber note in the opening but it smells really clean,fresh and a bit of masculine.
The performance of this one is very good, it lasts for about 8 hours on my skin and projects good aswell. This is a safe option for blind buy.

Overall, a clean, synthetic, fresh, simple and versatile scent. It smells VERY good.

Not earth shattering in any way but it’s clean and in this heat that’s important. Yes, it’s safe all right but sometimes you need something comforting that’s not in your face. My boyfriend normally loves Spicebomb but we live in a hot and humid climate and he wanted something more appropriate for the heat. I picked this because he likes to smell good but he wants happy sinuses too. Yes, shower gel comes to mind but I love nuzzling his neck when he is wearing this. It’s clean and soft and good for summer.

Nautica Voyage. The goto fragrance for “Just starting out, what should my first purchase be?” questions. A safe blind buy, and a wonderful fragrance all on it’s own. It has a similar vibe of the clean, aquatic scents you’re bound to find in a department store, but with a unique freshness and fruitiness the others don’t have.
Nautica’s other fragrances all have that sort of generic aqua vibe, but Voyage is different and is like a cool water splash at the beach. It’s a nice 70 degrees, the wind is blowing and feels cool but not cold on your skin, and you inhale and take in all the scents of your surroundings, including the ocean, the trees behind you, and the fresh summer air. That’s this fragrance.
The green apple and florescent notes make a refreshing, sweet fragrance that is fresh, but not feminine. I wouldn’t call it necessarily a super masculine scent like some woody muskbomb, but it’s definitely very cool, refreshing, and people will notice you.
A wonderful first fragrance and a safe blind buy, and definitely garners attention in my experiences, and I’ve gotten many “WOW” sort of comments on it while wearing it (yes, from girls) and they continue to comment on it again when I wear it around them.
You also cannot go wrong with the price. So so cheap, and the best that Nautica has to offer.
(Also, don’t mess around with any of the flankers. I’ve tested all of them, and most of them smell generic and boring, unlike this one. This is the best Nautica has to offer by a long shot)

This was my signature scent back in college. After a while I couldn’t stand the smell anymore so I got rid of it. I recently found a 100ml bottle of it for 20$ so I decided to give it another try, and I absolutely don’t regret it. This is a go-to for everyday wear. It smells really fresh and clean, like cucumber and citrus. Never had that many compliments ! Cheapie but goodie, you can’t really go wrong with it.

A clean slightly green aquatic. Instead of apple I mostly get cucumber. Considering how cheap it is it smells pretty good to my nose. It’s my brother’s signature warm weather scent. He has a reformulated bottle but it still performs decently. I find it lasts around 3 hours and projects for a solid one.

Ok the legendary Nautica Voyage. When I first purchased this fragrance I honestly didn’t really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It took me a while but I’ve finally come around to actually start enjoying this fragrance and I’ve used about 25% of my bottle already. This scent is SHARP and ENERGIZING. Sharp citrus’s at the beginning remain throughout the entire life of this fragrance. The mid and bottom notes add a mossy woodiness to the smell. This fragrance is best outdoors in my opinion. The fresh air and breeze goes well with this juice. 8/10

A cheap aquatic which smells fantastic given its price.
It begins with a strong note of apple and something green, some people tell it smells like cucumber and I can see why here, it doesn’t smell artificial; it smells “natural” in a way.
Then it morphes to a floral and fresh scent, but not a boring one, I think it’s really close to Azzaro Chrome minus the sour metallic note which can be repulsive to some noses.
It seems to last a long time on my skin ( on my arm since 1pm and I still can pick it).
It dries down to a musky and mossy scent.
Voyage is one of the best aquatics out there, the hype is real considering the price in my opinion!
If you’re into aquatics and freshies, it’s a no brainer, blind-buy worthy.

This starts off with an absolutely wonderful scent of green apple and watery, aquatic greenery. It is extremely watery smelling yet without any calone, and is one of the greatest wet scents I’ve ever smelled. There is also a slight metallic accord. The entire thing leans very masculine even while it is extremely fresh and light as well as evocative of wet florals. It has a futuristic aquatic avante-garde sort of vibe due to the lack of citrus; I feel it wouldn’t be out of place in Blade Runner or especially Waterworld. On drydown the fragrance is dominated by both lotus flower and aquatic notes as well as slightly green notes. It smells like a still-wet lotus flower in a pond of cool water, and also smells like I’m sailing in a lake due to the very wet aquatic notes. Basenotes smell entirely of lotus flower to my nose. Sillage is incredible especially for a fresh fragrance, while longevity is also amazing at over 8 hours on my skin – some of the best longevity of any fragrance I’ve tried ever. Overall this is an unbelievably gorgeous yet masculine scent that is I think my all-time favourite fragrance (better than fragrances even 3 times its price), and is a very unique aquatic with its lotus flower note as well as the lack of citrus. I also love the futuristic bottle which sort of resembles a bottle at sea.

This was my first fragrance and i’m dissapointed. It’s too sweet and clean, you can smell it from 2 feet away for about 5 minutes, then you have to put your nose on your skin in order to smell it, and even like that, it only lasts about 2 hours. I have fake fragrances that perform better than this. You should only buy this if you really don’t care about fragrances and you only want to smell clean. You just can’t dislike this fragrance

I love this fragrance. This is one of those staple warm weather scents that would be fantastic when visiting a breezy beach, lazy pond or having a picnic by the lake.
Upon initial spray I get green apple and a fresh invigorating carefree ambiance. I absolutely love this fragrance;it feels fun, refreshing, thirst quenching and performance is noteworthy.
Performance can rival higher priced scents:sillage is impressive, longevity speaks well and projection is not s concern. For the money, given how subjective “expensive” is, I’ll say that 100ml for less than $30 is clearly a safe expenditure.
Grab this one while you can.

It is not bad, but way overhyped. Probably my worst blind buy so far (i’m lucky though 🙂 ). I feel mainly cucumber, very soft scent but longivity close to skin is good. It is indeed a cheapie, but there’s a lot more cheapies that are way better for summer. 6,5/10

Absolutely perfect and refreshing for a hot summer day.
I’m someone who tends to have a heavy hand when spraying my fragrances. And for any of you out there that are the same way…this is a must-use-caution-type of fragrance as it is VERY strong and VERY easy to overuse making it WAY too strong. Even me (and believe me, I’m a chronic over-sprayer)…I even use only 4 sprays MAX! It’ll last you 7-8 hours and the projection is monstrous. Easily 6 feet if not more.
Compliments galore if used properly!
Scent Itself – 9/10
Projection – 10/10 Easily 6-8 feet.
Longevity – 7-8 hours and lasts 12-24 hours on certain clothing.

Tested it many times and I get a seaweed like note and salt that put me off,shame as some of the other notes were nice.
Most people like it though and it’s pretty good quality juice for the low price with 5-7 hours on my skin no probs.Very nice bottle and cap too.

Never tried the old formulation, got a late 2017 batch and the scent is really nice, probably one of the best woody aquatics I’ve ever smelled, but performance is subpar.
Almost no projection after 25 minutes and then, after just 90 minutes, it disappears on my skin, can only feel a subtle cold apple skin scent.
Feeling sorry for myself, got late to this party!

This aquatic has some salt that makes it more manly, and then it has some melon that is a little green that makes it playful. This combo makes it a casual , yet interesting scent for adults and a standout fragrance for younger men.
I get a linear, yet seemingly complex fragrance that stands up with the best affordable fragrance the world has to offer, like Perry Ellis Red , Ferragamo F Black, and Mont Blanc Individual. This smells of quality , not synthetic whatsoever and could be a summer staple for many.
I am convinced that if this was given a better bottle and name , parfum concentration with a pinch of tonka and some blond wood or maybe sandalwood base that people would pay triple the price easily for this quality juice.
I have heard this is reformulated, which is a shame and that the metal cap is the original with 2 hours extra longevity.
Speaking of longevity I get 6 hours and moderate projection for an hour and then it slowly becomes a skin scent. In the heat it will be louder , so no issue here.

Adding my Experience on this fragrance. I wore this around 2008/09 and it was simple, refreshing and a compliment getter. Longevity and projection were great! Tried it again a couple years ago and I was disappointed. No projection and Longevity was about 1 hour.
So I set out to find a vintage bottle. After reading discussions on fragrantica and base notes I learned the vintage bottle would have the metal heavy cap and sprayer head that has a cylinder base that graduates up to the sprayer rather than the standard strait cylinder neck.
I found one on eBay but upon testing found it to have poor performance.
I sold it and disappointed and confused, I gave up on finding an original. Recently, by chance, I found a 2007 bottle and discovered it was distributed by Lancaster AND NOT Coty. BINGO, true vintage version with great performance and the classic smell that made it popular. Message me if you want a picture of what I’m talking about.
Find a bottle that was distributed by Lancaster for true vintage. Anything COTY is crap.

Got a 5ml sample of this and i must say it’s dire.I like fresh and aquatic scents but this smells like some cheap air freshener stick.All i get is this cheap chemical aroma.there is of course the possibility the sample is off but from what im smelling this is so poor and synthetic smelling

For casual use. Day. Spring/Summer.
Fresh and fruity scent for summer days. It is a great and affordable scent. It is cheap and obsviously you cannot expect a delivated and well blended fragnce. Very simple and linear, synthetic design. You should avoid to overspray, so it can became unpleasant.
Melon and sea notes together at the first opening. Performance is good for a summer frag. Not citrusy, this scent is a good option if you prefer fresh “eau de toilette” without citrusy notes.
For me, good option for daily use. Cheap. You can reapply it for less than 20€/100ml.
It is not an exceptional scent. Ordinary fresh cologne.

Whoaaa, what a surprise! The hype is well deserved. Blind buy for me, for 20euros 100ml bottle,from a retail discounter, manufactured August 2017(checkfresh). Sea ,salty, and apple, unbelievable juice for the price. The longevity and projection of this on me is incredible, my strange skin chemistry loves this potion. After a 12hours shift and 4 sprays i received compliments from colleagues (locker room, mens only… I think i have to change my work scent 🙂 I consider myself very lucky with this one, because here nobody knows about it, it’s my hidden gem. ADG, Chanel Allure Sport and Issey are the most popular here. I’ve left those aside since i got Voyage. When I’m asked what I’m wearing…”I don’t remember, 40+ bottle collection,i’ve just picked one”. Not even my girl knows what i’m wearing. I am so mean 🙂 A+ for the scent to the creator! Nautica, here, take my money !

Almost a dead ringer for Tommy Bahama “Cognac,” but with a bit shorter longevity and an added woodsy/mossy note that is most welcome in an otherwise fruit-forward freshie. I happily own both – because I can. 🙂

This is the bottle with the plastic cap. For $20, it’s a nice scent. I get sweet apple and a watery vibe. Super synthetic in the opening. Gets cloying. I have VMAF and ADG, this can not compete in the same level. Not buying it again. I’ll just throw this one in my car for the gym or emergencies.
Edit: Guys and gals, this is a cooler night scent. Sprayed this going to the gym and the smell is totally different. The effect is just like Givenchy Play when I wore it in December 2015 and went to KMART and the lady was looking around for my scent. I passed by and she and her friend was talking about me. xD The alcohol sickening is gone and the freshness and sweetness opens up. These two works best for me in cooler weather.
