Description

Natsukashii” or “Nostalgia” in Japanese, is a woody floral inspired by a stroll down a rain-kissed, Kansai street. The summer perfumes of peony and osmanthus blooms meet the soapy sento steam while wafts of ginger and matcha from the kitchen marry the spiraling tendrils of cedar and sandalwood incense from the corner butsudan. This is a hand-blended, unisex fragrance oil (alcohol, phthalate & paraben free) and is made from both natural and manmade ingredients; materials were sourced from a number of countries including India, Japan, USA, Thailand and Uruguay. Natsukashii is an homage to my second home during the month of June. Natsukashii was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Marlen Harrison.

A delighful, sensual and enchanting scent. Very woody with a prominent incense note and touches of fabric softener. The opening is very masculine: ginger and green tea, fresh spicy, reminds me of something “Tom Ford”,but it eventually softens. It’s moist;maybe that’s where I get the fabric softener feel from. Dusty, unique and deep scent. Dries down into a woody/incensey scent with a floral hint
My first application was at 17:00 and at 22:00 the overall scent started fading. The sillage is close to the skin, although the scent is very noticeable for the first two hours.

Wow. this is… woody, fresh yet wet damp and beautifully floral. It is mostly woody with the Hinoki Japanese Cedar playing a leading role. It’s very…. zen. theraputic. but it has umph and staying power, unlike alot of other whispy aquatic floral scents. It’s very unlike anything I’ve ever smelled before. It’s most definetly unisex; calm meditative but not hidden.

This is an unexpectedly great perfume. It’s unlike anything I’ve tried before, in a very natural way. The woods come through most, and the flowers are there but not in your face about it. The ginger and tea kind of blend together – they seem to be sprinkled over the more plant-y base. Perfect for autumn.

I think this is not a pleasant scent to smell, at least not for me. It smells to me a bit dry and musty. what immediately comes to mind is pencil shavings. However, a distinct smell that you should definitely have smelled once because I can not compare this perfume with anything else, so definitely a unique scent
