Description

With Narciso Eau de Parfum (2014), Narciso Rodriguez continued with its musky scented creations in minimalistic bottles that began with the debut fragrance Narciso Rodriguez For Her (2003). In June, 2015, Narciso Eau de Toilette was presented in a square, black bottle. The collection’s new fragrance for early 2016 is housed in a bottle of delicate skin color that befits the name Narciso Poudrée.

This story of sensuality and seduction continues with a new chapter – velvety, powerful and delicate at the same time; warm and strong Narciso Poudrée. The goal was to create a fragrant cloud that highlights a natural and mature femininity. Powdery musk dominates the heart of the perfume, which opens with a floral combination of Bulgarian rose and white jasmine. Woody notes of vetiver, black and white cedar end the composition.

The face of the perfume is Raquel Zimmermann. Narciso Poudrée is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum. The nose behind this fragrance is Aurelien Guichard.

A STUNNER, absolute stunner. This perfume smells like how you would imagine the purest, most innocent young lady girl would smell like. The innocence in this perfume is VERY seductive. You will be showered by compliments. This is how i want to smell the rest of my life. Just a STUNNER 🙂

First impressions: Straightforward jasmine with something of the medicinal bite of the original Narciso EDP (white cube). Has the warm, balmy (yet almost corporal) breathiness of white florals. Same warm-cool, mentholated interplay that makes Narciso EDP so jarring and intriguing…and the dry-down so worth the wait.
About ten minutes in, a creamy custard-like accord is appearing. This is not an edible custard. It’s a whipped body butter with a waxy edge. Smells good enough to eat, but you really shouldn’t.
After the jasmine, this is the next real point of departure from elder sister Narciso, when the big-haired, waxen-cheeked, synthetic, “acrylic” make-up notes start setting in. Creamy, smeary, powdery. Dollhead vibes, all pink-innocence and kinkiness at the same time — like the way that Barbie is a child’s toy but with an unreal, alien sexiness and symmetry to her physical form.
Speaking of aliens, I keep getting hints of Mugler’s Alien when the jasmine pops up. I’d label these both as conceptual florals (I heard this somewhere else), laced with shimmering, virtual-reality jasmine.
    Dry-down:
I agree with other reviewers who say the dry-down is to die for. I’m starting to consider it a hallmark of NR musks that they don’t leave you hanging — they don’t drop out at hour 3, leaving you with a sad shadow of their opening. *Unlike* most mass-market scents that are top-loaded for easy pleasure and likeability, NR scents seem back-loaded for those willing to wait for their pleasure. The sometimes-screechy openings (orange blossom, the menthol effect, etc.) are a test for serious suitors to pass.
Aptly-named, the powder is right where I thought it would be: in the heart and at the end, smelling like some cream-to-powder wonder-elixir. Vanilla, cedar, coumarin, tonka bean. I think I am missing the patchouli entirely, though. Where is it? I own several fragrances “for women” with vetiver in the base, and I still don’t know what vetiver smells like. For all I know, it’s in here.

Sort of floored that no one else is focusing on how singularly WEIRD this one is! I guess they fell for the pedestrian, powder-pink marketing campaign and smelled what they saw. I admit it’s a bit unsettling to reveal what this actually reminds me of–
Remember Bianca, the love-doll girlfriend from “Lars and the Real Girl?” Remember Ava, the humanoid femme-bot from “Ex Machina?”
I bet they both smelled like this.
Projection is only about 2 to 3 inches. Yes, you have to be brave and get really close the creepy doll-thing to smell it.

I do like this and sadly had to return my bottle because the projection is poor and the drydown on me …becomes a celebrity scent of flat vanilla candied powder…and it goes meh. I wish the top notes and middle stayed but they dont…but it is nice …then after 2 hours nothing. Im gonna stick with the Black bottle..as it is much more better on me. 🙂 …after reading others reviews…n how it lasts….omg….I dont see this lasts at all on me…like 2 hours max…its poof gone.

This was accidentaly sent to me instead of rouge. I had already smelled this before from a sample I bought. I knew I really liked the smell, but unfortunately it didn’t projuct much, I couldn’t smell it on myself unless I put my nose close up to the place I sprayed it on. But I decided to keep it and I’m so glad I did, because I’m in LOVE with it now. One spray from the bottle lasted more than 7 hours on my skin and days on clothes, just one single spray! And I could smell it all those hours on myself. So for me this perfume is perfection. I’m kinda obsessed with powdery perfumes lately and I love it so much that even when I’m not wearing it, I find myself sniffing the bottle multiple times a day just to inhale this beautiful scent. I don’t know why the sample doesn’t project and the perfume from the bottle does, but I’m very happy that I can now smell this all day long on myself if I want without having to put my nose close up to my wrist/hand/arm/clothes.
Rouge is also on it’s way to me and I know from the sample I have that I love that one as much as I love this one. The bottles are beautiful too.

I have a tiny sample of this and I love love love it, i can’t stop spraying it to try and capture the memory evoked by the very first evanescent notes… what is it… yes!
It comes back to me in a rush, I’m at University studying herbal medicine, and this is the woody-sweet-musty scent of Smilax (Sarsaparilla) tincture as I pour it into brown glass bottles, nourishing, aphrodisiac.
And then its gone, and Poudree shows her colours- the precise blush-nude-pink of the chunky glass bottle, it’s spot on. Makeup-y powdery grown-up-woman refinement, not ‘mature’ in the heavy or dated sense, but definitely comfortable naked.
A whisp of cedar, a shade of subtle lipstick-rose, an enveloping cloud of musky powder beauty. Everything i wanted growing up to be when I was a little girl. I need a bottle just to remind myself that I’ve grown into the woman I wanted to be.
I see Poudree stretching languorously in the greyish light of morning, in bed with her lover, showing her naked body and comfortable with her vulnerability, comfortable in her own skin, meeting his (or her) gaze steadily. The combination of naked glorified skin and the artifice of the cosmeticky scent. A perfume for the city for me, the autumn-winter, a perfume for bed and also a perfume for snuggling alone in a cashmere jumper. But in truth I could wear it all the time.
Poudree is a clean but sexy feeling, Johnson’s pink baby lotion on shower-clean skin mixing with that milky sex-scent and the powdery coating of sugared almond wedding favours, with their lilac-pink pastel shells.
Oh I need this perfume in my life!

Very nice. I thought a client was wearing some new version of Lancome Poeme, but softer, mellower. I asked if it was a new Lancome release. Just a hint of violet to me.

Narciso Rodriguez has not let me down yet! I love musky perfumes and everything I’ve tried from NR has been amazing. Narciso Poudree is just beautiful. Soft, gentle, and powdery musk with sweet jasmine and tonka. This also has the toasty vetiver and cedar that Narciso EDP has. I love this so much!

  9. :

Beautiful, beautiful, just beautiful. The dry down is to die for! I am proud that I spent my money on this. I feel like a rich woman when I wear this and I am far from being rich lol. But yes I wanna bathe in it when I wear it but no need to, 2 sprays is plenty and it stays with you oh wow, I still smell it on me the next day after a night out clubbing lol.

One of the more expensive scents I own. One of those perfumes that you can smell the “quality” instantly.
I do prefer the original Narciso Rodriguez in the pink or black bottles but this one if very pretty also. It comes off as slightly heavy to me and the picture above from the ads with the Poudree bottle over top of the nude-colored powder is a PERFECT representation of how this smells. Smells like a fluffy-smelling body powder that you apply with one of those fuzzy round pads. Smells like makeup. Smells clean. But not one of those “airy” type of clean smells. It’s powdery, VERY powdery. It’s basically powder, musk, and in the VERY backround I can smell the Jasmine and Rose peeking through, but they’re not prominent, they’re in very small doses. I’m actually surprised that the top voted for accord is “white floral.” It should most definitely be powdery, undoubtedly.
Either way, this is very pretty. And comforting. I’m torn on when the best time to wear this is. It’s very elegant, very lady-like. Very modern. Part of me thinks this is the perfect lunch date perfume. But to be honest…I actually spray this one before bed sometimes and the warm, powdery, clean skin, musky smell is very comforting to me when I’m just crawling into bed. So whatever ya prefer…do.
    Scent Itself – 8.5/10
Longevity – Majority voted for very long lasting. I only get 4-5 hours but that’s enough for me. No complaint.
Sillage – 2-3 feet. A perfectly “moderate” projection.
    Overall Score – 8/10
This is very pretty. The powdery accord can translate as a tad bit “heavy” so you must like powder and musk to like this one. I’m actually excited to try this one out in the winter as it has a very warm, comforting effect. A different kind of clean as I’m used to a more “sharp” white floral or a summery, citrusy type of clean perfumes. This one is definitely unique. I voted above with a “like” but it’s definitely a strong like. Thumbs up Narciso!!

Lipsticky, powdery boudoir type fragrance. This is the scent of a posh woman getting ready for a party, opening all her expensive makeup at the same time. A pricey lipstick here, a fancy compact there. Narciso Poudree to me, is a modern take on Guerlain’s LHB edp. Narciso Poudree is all expensive powdery goodness without the mentholated, medicinal vibe I get from LHB. Lasting power is average, as with all Narciso scents. However, I find this lasts longer than Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDP. (That one is good, but very fleeting.)

  12. :

    4 out of 5

The coumarin in this one is a strong player, adding a thick balmy layer over the musk and flowers. The color of the bottle is very well chosen, wearing this scent is as if you were wearing a thick cashmere sweater that is exactly that shade. 5min into the application, it’s already heading straight to the heart in a rather linear, long-lasting way. If you wanted a perfume for sweater weather without the usual syrupy sweetness, this might be the one. 4/5 from me, NR EDT for her is still the best from this brand.

  13. :

    3 out of 5

Ok, apparently I love powdery scents 🙂
This is powder, not the soapy clean type, but the rounded, expensive lotion type, this one with dry wood and sweet spices and a very creamy musk.
The comforting hug of the Narciso line. Not my first favourite (which is the red one), but a close second. The sweetest powdery scent I have ever enjoyed, but classy and deep (the woods). Like all the Narciso fragrances I tried, a masterpiece of balance and roundedness.
    Very very good.
    —-
Also: quite long lasting 🙂 Still going strong after 8 hours.

Narciso is the only brand my weird chemistry has ever loved. Slightly obsessed with nearly every cube of well blended luxury, except black which is still a strong like, but Poudree is my soulmate. I bought a VANITY people! I’d never had a vanity or even thought of purchasing one in all my 36 years but I felt Narciso deserved a proper place of display and worship. For Her EDT was my ultimate find until these little squares of liquid perfection stole my heart.
Every scent takes at least 30 minutes to find its way but the glorious destination is well worth the wait despite the opening being a bit odd. Each cube shares similar undertones but there are enough unique differences to make owning all three worthwhile.
    White Cube ~ fall/winter
    Pink Cube ~ spring/summer
    Red Cube ~ special occasions
Hard and sometimes pointless describing individual notes detected since each of us may have a different experience based on chemistry, perception and a crap ton of other variables. So I’ll let you know how wearing this makes me feel: Like a sexy cloud of heaven and no one can tell me different. 😀 My personal favorite is to layer Narciso Body Cream with Poudree, compliments galore from both sexes. Cream not lotion, perfumed lotions tend to smell a bit too chemical/alcoholic and the substance is too thin for me.

While I wasn’t immediately wowed by Poudree, it turned into such a beautiful fragrance after the drydown. I can definitely smell the tonka which is one of my favorite notes. It’s followed by a gloriously understated jasmine plus just the perfect amount of rosiness and cedarwood. It’s lasting power is impressive and the sillage is just right. I can’t believe I’ve never tested this before! It’s like a younger/hipper Donna Karen Cashmere Mist.

A nice powdery white floral perfume. Little goes a long way for me and this lasts upwards of 6 hours on me. I did finish one bottle, but not sure if I will rebuy… maybe.

Based on the reviews I decided to go and smell this at my local Macy’s. I sprayed it on me and immediately smelled the creamy rich powdery musk that everyone is talking about. I’m in love. This is the first musky perfume that I love! I’m usually into sweet food gourmand, or fresh citrus smelling perfume. I am trying to step outside my comfort zone. I definitely love this over Fleur Musc as I just can’t stand the Rose/Peony combination in any fragrances.

A warm clean oversized towel fresh from the dryer with hints of wet bathing suit and Coppertone sunscreen. Perhaps it’s because I’m wearing this in the summer, but the jasmine has a very beachy feeling. Combined with the sweet creamy powdery musk, I feel a fresh laundry by the pool sensation. Would go great with some sunscreen and sunshine. Actually I see this working all year round. The cooler temps will probably enable different facets to emerge. Well compiled and quite lovely. A warm, sweet, modern, powdery musk.

    THIS PARFUME SMELLS AMAZING
Oh I love it from the first second I spray it on my body; and yes the dry down smells like expensive powder in a good way.
I find it very sexy and sweet, yet unique at the same time.
I wouldn’t regret my blind buy this time

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL floral fragrance. It is so elegant and smells expensive, with QUIETER musk, tonka bean, vetiver and wood. Somehow its dry down slightly reminds me of Lancôme Trésor Lunineuse EDP (with almost the same rose vibe). And to my nose, it does NOT smell quite similar to Narciso EDP (the one in the same square bottle, and has opaque WHITE color).
And yes, I agree with the review below. Poudree dry down does have a vibe of high end, expensive make up products, but it is still in a fragrance form, so don’t be alarm that “you are wearing just make up” 🙂
I think Narciso EDP (square opaque White bottle) carries the similar DNA with Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT (in TALL Black bottle), and Fleur Musc For Her EDP (in TALL Fuchsia Pink bottle).
I really really LOVE this line, as I find it suit my taste the most, and it is just SO CHIC 🙂

Omg, blind bought this because it was recommended because I love & own Valentina Poudre and I am incredibly happy I did, this is PERFECTION! It’s somwhat similar to the Valentina, but, imo, a bit more complex and better. While the Valentina smells like straight up powder, Narciso smells like expensive makeup in general, like a high end lipsticks or something of the sort. Gorgeous, elegant and lady-like. Smells so rich, expensive and high quality and I feel so pampered wearing it, makes me feel like a real woman.
It’s decadent and I absolutely adore it, it’s one of the best reactions I’ve had with perfume.
Even as a blind buy if you love the Valentina Poudre, there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that you would dislike this!
So far, this one, along with Poeme, are my two favorite perfumes.
Edit : A weird thing that came to my mind when sniffing the nozzle right now is that it smells like a a butterfly’s wings.

Don’t kill me…this one reminds of a better quality version of Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door (ducks).
This would be worn by Joan Crawford in the Pepsi board room when she flamed-out “Don’t f*** with me fellas!!!”.
I nicknamed this one “Flaming Red Door” …is that OK ?
Not the best Narciso — but still very very worthy and damn- she got that Narciso DNA twinkle in her eye.

    Narciso Rodriguez Poudree is elegant.
Powdery, sweet and musky, like eating a fluffy french pastry accompanied by a lady grey black tea.
This is a robust yet delicate fragrance that makes me feel refined, vintage, and romantic at the same time.
When using this perfume, I’d like to wear a silk ivory blouse, or a cashmere baby pink sweater…It’s that refined!

  24. :

This will go down as a classic perfume. Is one of my favorite perfumes in my not so small collection. I love the powder and the musk in it. Very classy and inoffensive, long lasting and elegant. Lovely!

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I have only worn this several times. I find if I wear it with synthetics I get a very strong bitter sharp smell that I can’t wait to wash off. So disappointing. If I wear it with cotton it wears much softer. Not sure why, I think it might be the jasmine?

  26. :

    4 out of 5

Strangely enough, I pick up a ‘grown up’ sweetness when this is first sprayed, and for about the first half hour or so, it is that refined, slightly sophisticated ‘grown up’ sweet smell. Then within an hour, the musk comes out, and the soft sweetness subsides to the far background. I really do not get any powdery-ness from this. On me, to my nose, this is a mainly musky/sweet scent, with perhaps a very subtle floral when straining to sniff. And to me, it is not a white floral nor the rose note; but is just a general floral. But, a musky/slightly sweet/floral fragrance is how I would describe this. A scent of a grown woman, not a little girl. All in all, a very strong like for me…Borderline love.

It has a powder puff smell, elegant, sweet, and cosy. I can smell the jasmine too. I think it’s very wearable, and kinda works with your skin and body chemistry, so becomes part of you if you know what I mean? I can still smell it on my skin 8/9 hours after I sprayed it. So even though it’s a subtle smell in a way, it lasts forever. I’ve never worn a powdery perfume before, and it has a kind of dusty, snuffly, old drawer smell to it, or reminds me of the smell of a makeup bag but I still like it. It’s also musky and skin like. Lovely.
My son who is not a perfume person at all, said this smelt ‘fancy’, and he actually liked it. So it must be good.

Oh, Narciso Poudrée, I’m so happy l have found you! This is what I want to smell like, particularly in the spring. I tried it on paper at the store, not expecting much, and thought it was surprisingly gorgeous. I had never been able to pull off a Narciso Rodriguez before, but this one seemed softer than other NR I had tried. Based on the great reviews here, and without having tried it on me, I bought a 50ml bottle of Poudrée, crossing my fingers that it would not turn all patchouli on me once on my skin. It did not. So I think I finally found “my” scent. LOVE this one! On my skin, Poudrée starts off bubblegummy, powdery and quite musky for the first little while. It has character while not being offensive. Once the musk settles down, the fresh florals (rose and gardenia) peek through with soft woodsy notes. It lasts all day on me. This is heavenly to me, and hubby commented on how it smells good (which he rarely does), so that’s a bonus. Biggest backup bottle is needed here!

Absolutely adorable, rich smelling, powdery. I love it so much, especially in the spring time. Projects well on me, because I feel it on me for a long time. My first Narciso Rodriguez, looking forward to try more.

I took a while to come around to this fragrance. At first attempt I did like it, but detected an odd medicinal note on my skin which I have still not pinpointed. I have since grown to really enjoy this fragrance, and I love that it was the first to introduce me to the genre of powder fragrances. My Husband really appreciates this one too. I find it to be a soft, slightly rosy, quite musky, cosmetic scent, with a distinct woodiness. It holds some similarities to Valentino Valentina Poudre, which I do prefer in all honesty (Valentina is more creamy and elegant than this in my opinion). For me it has a subtle, light bitterness that Valentina doesn’t have, and it doesn’t feel quite as “high end”. It does however feel a bit unique. It’s a strong like from me and I’m wearing it as I write this.

@ Hrenkozsofi You could try Coco Mademoiselle Intense. It’s sweeter with similar notes and vanilla.

So I’ve been looking for a white floral, powdery perfume for a while. This one is super feminine and decadent. As someone who owns and likes only sweet perfumes, to me this is a bit too herbal. Very sexy, strong and confident, I just wish there was a sweeter version of it. Please recommend if you known of one.

  34. :

A little more gentle than Narciso EdP, more poudery, a millimeter sweeter, but also less fresh. I love Narciso EdP more, but I am turning allergic against it, as it is sharp. I can wear Narciso Poudre without sneezing, it is not at all sharp to my nose, so even if I don’t love it in the same way, this is the one I will go for, if I have to remove Narciso EdP. I guess I will buy a bottle of Poudree next autumn.

Narciso Poudree is a perfect fit for a woman in need of gentle & calming goodnight kiss. This perfume could soothe your mind with a tender scent of fresh jasmine, white musk, milky almonds & balmy rose petals. It´s a real feminine tenderness & instant hug in a bottle.

I really wanted to love this! But sadly I just like it. I was so excited to try it since I adore powdery scents. At first it was very promising, while it was not the kind of powdery note I was expecting I really liked it. It smelled wonderfully musky, woody and sort of powdery. Alas, after an hour or two all I could smell was jasmine, strong and overpowering jasmine. While that might be just wonderful for some for me it was too much. I wanted to love Narciso poudree the way I love Valentina poudre, but it’s too much jasmine and too little powder.
Oh, and by the way: With 2-3 sprays it leaves a soft trail, so the sillage is perfect. And longevity is about 7 hours on me. I think it’s a good quality perfume! Just not for me.

  39. :

Holy shit this stuff is HEAVEN! I generally dont like any of NR fragrances but this is totally different to my nose. The only way I can describes this is feminine, mature (not old lady like), elegant and sexy. The floral musk powdery vibe are so well blended that its not at all offensive. Perfect for everyday wear, office and night during fall/winter. Just got myself a full bottle and I must say this will not last long. LOVE IT!

Oh My God! This fragrance is GORGEOUS! I tested this on my lunch break, and had a 50 ml bottle by 5pm lol. In the past, I have been anosmic to the musk in NR fragrances. However, that has changed because I also tested For Her edt, and the musk was standing up on my arm like a stallion. Something has happened & I am so happy.
This is the NR for me!!! My new signature scent! Be careful guys because this one is Addictive. Test with caution because she may end up in a bag on your passenger seat lolol.

so musky sexy sweet powdery natural perfume I think it’s definition of mature sexy perfume I do not believe it fits like young girls going to school or wherever.
it is speaks loudly for sexy mature ladies + 25 year old .
I’m so in love I couldn’t wait to check that longtiviy to give this review but the sillagr is amazing and I believe it will last so long time

    First spray – crass
    Overwhelmingly bitter and coarse
Smells similar to gucci bloom – which i also think is too strong with bitter florals
It is Very very powdery , creamy which i love in a perfume ,
It does mellow out somewhat , turns deep , warm , powdery , but still has that edgy floral prickle .. which i cannot get on with .
Also does not last too long . 3 hr max
    10/10 powderiness
5/10 over all notes / combination – smell
    Staying power 6/10

I have only six words to describe this perfume: Modern. Minimalistic. Understated. Refined. Womanly. Elegance. This perfume has all the right balance in terms of smell. Not too sweet. Not too powdery. And most of all… not trying too hard. Everything is well balanced and in order, and it has depth of character. The middle note is superb, as the floral tops have perfectly blended with the middle musk. I am glad that this one has less “annoyingly there all the time” white and black cedar bottom notes unlike its white bottle sister. Sillage and projection are very good (I live in a tropical climate: 31 C). My signature scent now. Thank you, Narciso! I took my hat off to the creator of this perfume. Ps. In the official Narciso’s website, the top notes are Bulgarian rose and Gardenia (not white jasmine).

OOhhhh the opening was a bit harsh but when it mellows out it’s actually very nice.
I like this, it smells rather velvety , comforting ,and a tinge floral.
This totally makes me think of creamy skin scent. I do get that makeup/powdery note as well, which for me isn’t a problem whatsoever.
I keep taking whiffs of this on my wrist,I would love a full of bottle of this.

Musk, herbal, creamy, sweet, deep, cozy. Is there spicy? Probably spiciness comes from cedar and vetiver in background. They create some vintage-y vibe in background, but it is covered with timeless velvety, creamy sweetness. It have some chemical gourmand sweet note that I somehow distantly recognize. Could it be just courmarin? I sense gentle vanilla, thou it’s not listed. It is some type of facial cosmetic, but in perfumery quality. Quite gourmand and romantic poudree for smiling adult woman. Probably for winter and/or night.
For notes listed I would think it’s a different perfume. Try it if you look for interesting, lovely gourmand perfume.

If somebody asked me to get rid of all my perfumes and just keep one, I’ll choose this one!! Hands down, perfect fragrance so feminine it’s similar to the white cube one but this leans to the powdery side whether the white is more milky scent which IMO men can use it (the white one), the longevity and sillage are amazing, u need just two spritz and they will be more than enough, it can be overwhelming if you overspray it
    I give it 10/10

I am conflicted on this one, on one hand it is more wearable on me than the first Narciso in the white bottle, and the powder is a makeup-compact vintage lipstick type powder, but then something in it changes for half an hour or so and I can smell mothballs, this lasts for a bit then it dies down to the most soft, sensual skin musk scent. I love it but I hate it at the same time and I am not sure whether I should buy it or not, I keep getting tempted and then when I go to the counter to ask for it I change my mind. This scent is also quite similar to the new Gucci bloom so I am tossing up which one I really want.

I bought the white cube first and the next day i went back to buy this pinkish creme cube. I expected this to be softer, lighter and more laid back but oh how wrong i was. This one is no joke. It comes out bold and strong, making sure everyone around notice she is there. Yes it is powdery, but not the barely there kind of powdery, this one is bold kind of powdery. It even made me sneeze sometime. Something that very rarely happen to me upon smelling a perfume.
Comparing with the white cube, the white one is the reserved one, trustworthy, undemanding and closer to your skin. Its comforting like the feeling when you wrap yourself with a blanket reading a book while the storm is raging outside.
On the other side, this pinkish creme one is the confident one, knowing how pretty she is. She demands attention and enjoys every second of it.
I like them both and im glad to have them in my collection. Yet i can see my self reach for the white one alot more as the smell calms me down.

This is a very well-blended perfume. Opens up with florals. Can smell blended musky jasmine with rose. Orange blossom adding a wee fresh tone that makes the aroma more alive. It’s very powdery, warm and cosy throughout all its phases. After the floral notes are mostly gone it goes into a super powdery phase, which is all about musk blended with cedar woods, and a touch of jasmine refreshes the composition. The dry down reminds me of Love, Chloe although more musky, woody and less floral. It’s quite a powerful scent similar to Kenzo’s Flower, definitely you have to be careful with not applying too much. I’d be definitely happy to smell it in the streets, although for me it’s a bit too musky. Sillage and longevity are very good. Worth a try at the nearest perfume shop.
Edit: Interesting how our noses change. I went to retry it a couple of months ago at the perfumery and the whole day afterwards couldn’t stop thinking about it so bought a 90ml bottle. Later on when the Rouge came out I had to buy it as well. Rouge is much more subtle and girly. Now I cannot stop thinking about the cream original cube EDP. It’s just so lovely. And to think that before I couldn’t wear musks!

Soft and feminine, light powdery, slightly sweet but well rounded with the depth of musk. The jasmine is delicious in this composition. This is a perfect cozy Christmas scent for me, probably because years ago I was gifted a bottle of Vanderbilt by Gloria Vanderbilt for the holidays and they smell very similar on my skin. This one however is not as heady and heavy. It is light, day and office appropriate, yet extraordinary.

For me (fairly sensitive to heady or indolic white florals) this is a borderline headache inducer. Though not nearly as bad as Fleur Musc was for me. So, with a light application I can kind of enjoy this. It’s very creamy and clean. In the dry down the musk goes a little more “industrial clean” and dryer sheet than any of the other NR perfumes I’ve tried. Not sure if it’s the jasmine or the musk but something gives me the impression of being really sharp and scratchy in my nose/throat especially in the dry down. I don’t really pick out the neroli or the rose but I do notice the jasmine. The powder isn’t a strong baby powder but rather a sort of vintage cosmetic pressed powder smell that’s pretty and subtle. For me the prominent notes here are the jasmine and laundry musk. Overall an OK scent but not something I would repurchase – I have just the smallest 1 oz bottle. Good lasting power and moderate projection.
If you agree with my review here are some suggestions for you:
In my collection, I have La Tulipe by Byredo which I’d say is still my top pick for a springtime creamy white floral (not really powdery though) which I’d probably wear for the same occasions as Poudree
