It doesn’t smell like a big bag of funky weed, But what it does have is that very distinct resinous, sweet, amber smell that you can only find in marijuana. Smells very pleasant, and artistically inspiring.

This does not smell like weed. Patchouli, incense, alittle cedar. I wish it had stronger sillage-it’s rather meek.

I was interested in this and got the opportunity to try a sample. It’s quite sweet on my skin, which I guess is the patchouli, and I could pick up the cannabis immediately with some of the leather. Overall I find it kind of fresh, sweet, and earthy.
Also lasts a looooong time on me. I put some on at night and took a shower the next day and I can still smell it on me. It definitely wears close to the skin, though. If it ever gets sold in a smaller (more affordable) rollerball, I’d probably get it. Would get a candle with this scent, too.

This fragrance would make a nice scented candle. It smells of sweet weed as if someone applied a really simple sweet body spray or perfume to mask the scent of the weed. I like the fragrance but would not like to wear it as a perfume. In my opinion it is unisex but leans masculine.

Definitely unisex, and maybe even leaning a little masculine on some skin/to some noses. Not a typical perfume smell, that’s for sure.
I like this, but I like a lot of unisex fragrances. This reminds me of The Vagabond Prince’s Enchanted Forest, if perhaps a little weaker. Sort of like what Enchanted Forest would smell like after wearing it for 12+hours. So, to that end, this is more of a cooler weather, generally speaking, to my nose; although wear what you want, when you want….But I just think this would be a nice soft version of Enchanted Forest for the cooler months. By no means is that to say this is a dupe for Enchanted Forest, but that is what this reminds me of. The smokiness here is not too strong for me, so I appreciate that. Honestly none of the notes here are too strong to my nose. Not really picking up any apple or violet leaf. But the notes are all blended nicely, nothing too heavy. I pick up a bare hint of sweetness at times as this dries down, BUT JUST A BARE HINT, and only occasional wafts…so perhaps that is my skin ‘translating’ the apple note, although I do not pick up a specific apple note…..As this dries down even further, yes, the cannabis note comes out (from memory for me of second hand smell at concerts, bathrooms, things like that). I suppose with marijuana a hot topic these days, we can expect more cannabis note fragrances, haha..
But to me, Music Festival is not a perfume..it is an experience.
The only ‘bad’ thing to me is the lasting power..Longevity is not great for me here; I’m surprised to see this heavily voted as long-lasting; this one fades to a skin scent for me within half an hour for me. But it’s cool, I dig it.

I am surprised at how wearable this is. Their description is “patchouli and fresh bud”. It’s refreshingly minty (tested in Summer), a little sticky, but also soft and smoky. I was afraid it would be a dirty patchouli like Angel. This is so feminine and sexy on me. Very nicely done!
ETA: No wonder I’m loving it – violets are my weakness.

    “Music Festival….Woodstock, 1969”
When I saw this on the shelf, my first thought was “this thing better smell like weed and patchouli”
    Not disappointed.

One thing’s for sure. The name matches the way this smells to a tee. Basically, if you want to smell like you’ve just come from a damn hippie drum festival, this is your scent. I feel that if I were to get pulled over for speeding and were wearing this, the officer would suddenly want to search my vehicle for drugs. That’s how potent the weed smell in this is for me. Definitely not a work scent at all. This is for people who enjoy very daring scents.

Sorry, I’m just not feeling this one. I’m not a fan of the smell of patchouli or weed so this one was a tough sell for me from the get-go.
I will caveat this review by saying that I have many of the Replica and Fantasies fragrances, so I have a pretty good idea what MM is going for within the larger context of their fragrance collection.
I find this one musty and overall quite disagreeable. It smells old (as in a proper perfume that has ‘turned’) and lacking the progressive edge many of the other MM fragrances have. There’s something in there that evokes almost a negative physical reaction, but I also found By the Fireplace off-putting, in spite of the litany of praise from others.
Perhaps next year they will put out one called ‘Beer Hall’ that smells of stale beer, sweat, and shame. Can’t wait! 😉

Not getting as blowy of a weed smell as others. Lots of patchouli, with violet and dark fruits. I smell the apple and almost a bit of banana as well?
I can’t honestly say I enjoy this all that much. It smells good, I guess, but there’s something in there that reminds me of Zoologist’s Bat that makes me gag a bit. Maybe it smells better on other people.

I’m sorry – I actually hate this. The one time you want something to not do exactly as it says it will, it does. The smell of cannabis makes me feel sick. Too many ‘eh’ memories associated with the smell and it’s just overall gross. Color me impressed, but not a fan thank you.

A very faint scent, very underwhelming indeed. I get a wee bit of patchouli and cannibas but that’s it, away after an hour.Won’t be buying a back up bottle of this one .

I got a sample from Sephora last night because the initial paper test surprised me with the smell of weed and it made me so nostalgic. I love the patchouli and the pretty realistic cannabis in this. I’ve been looking for something herbal and this seems to fit the bill. However, no one is mentioning how sweet this smells so I thought I’d share that with you guys. It’s kind of a powdery sweet on me so maybe not everyone will experience that but just a heads up in case that’s something you want to avoid. For me it’s the only thing stopping me from going out and getting a full bottle because the herbal aspects are fantastic.

Went to sephora just to try this one. It’s a skin scent the moment I sprayed on. I kept going back and dousing myself with it and, nothing! No cannabis to my nose either. I smelled this before but can’t pin point it yet. Some youtubers are hyping Music Festival, but on me, it’s underwhelming, and not worth to buy it at retail. Maybe wait a while to get a deal because it’s a pleasant scent nonetheless.

The thing with this fragrance line is it replicates what it says it would. Is this a replica of a music festival? Yes. Is it pleasant? No. Not to me and my nose.
If you want to smell like you have not showered in a few days, wear this.
Wanna smell like sweat? wear this.
Wanna get pulled over by cops for possible illegal activities? Wear this.
Good replica. Unpleasant personal fragrance. If you want a realistic woody, animalistic vibe from the same line, I’d much prefer “By The Fireplace” 🙂

I’d pick jazz club over this; not that it’s a bad fragrance but I’m just not crazy about patchuli, which is the star player of this fragrance; and rightfully so for what it manages to accomplish. Patchuli and the 80’s go hand n hand. As for the cannabis, you only get a hint of that. It does not smell like a heavy dose of fresh weed clumps nor does it come across as a skunky piercing aroma like you would get with the real thing. It only comes across as subtle n soft but then struggles to keep it’s prolonged presence.
I think it’s an above average fragrance, but it’s not for me. So you patchuli n cannabis lovers don’t be afraid to wear this because this is a patchuli dominated fragrance anyway and if you didn’t break the law, you have nothing to worry about.

I sampled this today and it started out lovely but then I started getting the cannabis! I felt so self conscious shopping after that, honestly I smelled like I had just smoked some Maryjane! ! Honestly it’s that realistic! I have to pass on this one, I’d like to keep my job.

Don’t get pulled over wearing this one!

Very similar to (untitled) but with more patchouli, violet and some herbal touch.
(untitled) is more green, bitter and harsh, Music festival is like (untitled) in a hippy-version with more flower, incence and stronger fragrances (…patchouli!).
For me Music festival is like a ride back to the hippy-era, being different, being bohemian a bit… but in a good way. Sophisticated, warm, free spirited – with an extravagant bohemian soul.
The perfume is for both intorverts and extroverts – in every way.
    Dare to give a try!
PS: I have By the Fireplace, (untitled) and Jazz club from Maison M. I love them all.

The opening is a blast of chocolaty, sweet patchouli, moments after, a strong and remarkably realistic cannabis note begins to appear. This is – as described on the bottle – the smell of fresh buds.
This fragrance truly captures the essence of a hippy music festival with all the necessary notes coming into play, patchouli, cannabis and tobacco.
The leather note also becomes more apparent in the dry down. An interesting fragrance that can bring back strong feelings of nostalgia for those who grew up in the 60’s. Well done.

I have a sample of this which I just got from Sephora today. It is indeed skunky to my nose with the cannabis accord. Not overly potent which is nice, because you definitely don’t want to come off smelling like you just smoked a fat one (unless that’s your thing). Will do a full wear sometime soon. It’s also spicy which I love.
As of right now I’m giving it a 7/10 for creativity.

Just tested this today. This smells more like xmas on me than like a music festival. I get mostly cypress and a bitter cedar. It is indeed skunky and it’s nice but don’t expect a Patchouli scent. It does not project on me. It reminds me of indie companies doing foresty, realistic-ish cut wood scents. I really don’t understand the music festival association. If I sniff real close and real hard, I get a bit of an apple sweetness, maybe like shisha. It’s nice don’t get me wrong. Just… Indies have done better in this genre. And much cheaper. I’m thinking Olympic orchids especially.

Cannot wait to smell this. I wonder if it is as good as Fresh’s Cannabis Santal or Cannabis Rose?

The notes and the description have me really hyped about this. Hoping to test it. I have Jazz Club and really like that one. Hoping that the weed note is true-to-life.
