TEFLON – :
Mula Mula is my first try from Byron Parfums and it coincides with the release having seemingly been well-received by the online community, celebrated as one of the better sweet releases of 2018 to date.
Upon first spray, its heady sweetness is palpable, a mix of caramel, fruits, and a vague booziness, with something distinctly sharper (perhaps the cypriol) fading into creamy resins of benzoin and peru balsam, toward a base of oud and patchouli. Even after some hours, the patchouli and oud do not emerge strong, so the early experience of this fragrance is mainly the sharp, sweet experience that it’s generally been billed to be.
Its performance is nice but for how overtly sharp it is for its opening/heart phase, its pricing of $140 for 100ml is a tough sell. It feels less niche than I’d like it to be. Consider, by comparison, that Kerosene and Hilde Soliani bottles are comparably priced.
Still, it’s a nice entry, and certainly won’t be a letdown for fans of sweets like myself. I’m glad to have tried and would recommend others give it a shot, as many do seem to love it.

On first sniff this was a blast from the past; smells so much like a cheapie from way back called Cherry Vanilla. I haven’t smelled that in probably 25 years or more (I had totally forgotten about it), but when I smelled Mula Mula it came right back to me. I’ve been sampling several fragrances this evening, so I may change my mind next time I try it, but for now, it smells like Cherry Vanilla to me.

Beautiful scent. Especially after that first initial blast. Might purchase a full bottle, but I have to test the performance a bit more. I sprayed it on my hand right after I received my sample and it became a skin scent after about 4 hours, which is decent.
So far so good.
Update: loved it so much that I bought a full bottle. Only problem is that I seem to experience strong olfactory fatigue with this one. My nose tunes it out within minutes, which sucks big time 🙁

It a good fragrance I think it’s more of a special occasion scent unless you live in cooler weather than you could possibly wear it daily. Unfortunately I live Arizona and that window is small. Is it sexy not really it’s thick … will you get compliments depends in right settings but the oud is present making it tough to love I think it’s a masculine scent smells very similar to Erba Pura Sospiro and Alexandria Fragrances Tropical Aura which is a clone of Erba Pura Sospiro

My favorite from Byron Parfums line. Incredible creation and huge performance.
