The starting point of illustrated series is not a narrative or memory to be translated into each fragrance. The creative process itself becomes the lead. Oliver leaves out any preconceived idea on the results and focuses on the elements of the olfactive inspiration of the series. The idea is modifying, exploring with no creative bounds, giving a new identity to natural ingredients, within an abstract process, which can start on a natural essence, a botanical illustration, or the smell of a molecule.

Each fragrance includes an illustration created by Spanish artist Jose Manuel Hortelano.Hortelano interprets Oliver’s olfactive fantasies through an image for every fragrance: pieces of visual, olfactory and emotional memories. From his fascination for laboratory instrumental to the synthetic smells and the innocence of wild flowers.
MOUSSE
Eau de Parfum 50ml
Its name comes from mousse de chene (oak moss), which
was Oliver’s first perfume ingredient discovered. Its
smell evoked in him something both wild and
sophisticated. An energetic, stimulant and comforting
mood that drove him to write his first formula. Trying to
put that mood «into a bottle», Oliver selected another
natural essences such as aldehydes, clove, lime and
lavender. All combined to reflect those feelings. The iso e
super molecule boasts this mood, making M.O.U.S.S.E a
cheerful hedonistic fragrance.

I love cloves in perfumery more so than in cuisines. To me the clove note has a crisp, spicy and airy quality that always uplifts oriental compositions that would otherwise be too heavy and dauntingly formal. Here in Mousse Oliver showcases that exact quality on a very naked base of iso e super decorated with lavender, moss, and a tinge of bergamot, as opposed to the woody/ambery/vanillic base that many classic orientals (Coco, Opium) possess. Think about placing a luxurious vermeil on an industrial-style glass and metal coffee table versus on an antique, thick wooden table, the same vermeil evokes very different feelings.
I personally love Mousse because of its originality and wearability. This is definitely a quirky perfume, and will challenge one on how they view art demonstrated via modern perfumery.

Holy Chytsticks!!! Upon application: lime and lavender-leaf are rocketed into the ionosphere by iso-e
Dry: Lime and lavender-leaf are then propelled into a heady cloud of spicy clove…
And if this isn’t enough to make the eyes roll, the entire aromatically frenetic mix is then sexed up with oakmoss and sandalwood.
Each and every note are all there, separately as well as in concert. It only takes a mildly discerning nose to ferret out each nuance. Not recommended for the acrophobic. The wearer must have an extreme sense of adventure, enjoy dizzying heights, with an appreciation and respect of the cliff’s edge.

Surprising! Ultra-modern unique and unusual. It comes with a strong opening of Iso-super and cloves, a union never felt but which is oddly and wonderfully beautiful!! Is sophisticated and charismatic, this scent i really like, and I have to say it’s great! Unique!

If you like smelling like pure clove oil in the top then pure oakmoss in the bottom.

it is said that this is one of the best seller or popular among the collection of Oliver & Co. in the perfumery store.
The opening is a very strong dry woody scent,kinda tasty cuz I smell salt and lime. In my country, we have many snack food with salty and sour taste. It is so dry that to me it is quite good for the rainy weather in the summer.

When i first sprayed this on my hand i directly felt that i have smelled this thing before, it wasn’t that pleasant to be honest. After few thoughts i realized that it was the chlorine, swimming pool chlorine, with somithng soapy, something foamy as well. Not pleasant to my nose.

MOUSSE is one of those “like skin, but better” scents. It does get a bit similar to some creations from Escentric Molecules, but only after an hour.
The first part of MOUSSE is very gourmand, I totally feel the resemblance to mulled wine – it is rather heavy on clove + with ISO E it feels almost “nutty”, nevertheless it is very warm/sweet, but also very spicy and dry. Completely unisex at this point and all trough it’s development.
The dry down of MOUSSE is a beautiful skin-like scent, the most dominant notes for me is clove (but very much more well behaved than at the start) and dry sandalwood with a clean lavender lingering around.
I was very impressed with MOUSSE, you will like it if you enjoy warm skin scents and tolerate big loads of clove. Even though it is pricey (95 EUR for 50ml) I think it is well worth the money. Staying power is more than good – 7 hours with no problems and still going strong.

Oh que j’aime cette impression de grand espace enneigé. Tous les éléments sont réunis pour ça, le santal et l’IsoE qui donne une grande présence diffusante au clou de girofle. Au coeur du parfum la mousse et une pointe de lavande vous tiennent la main pour continuer cette ballade hivernale en forêt.
L’association de l’hyper fraicheur avec les notes vertes a vraiment un côté enchanteur. Pouvoir être au chaud et respirer l’hiver en bouteille.
Oh I love this feeling of great snowy space. All the elements are there for it, sandalwood and IsoE Super which gives great presence diffusing clove. At the heart of the fragrance oakmoss and a touch of lavender hand-holding you to continue this winter walk in the woods.
The combination of super fresh with green notes have really an enchanting side. Be warm in and breathe winter in the bottle.

M.O.U.S.S.E. by Oliver & Co. is a soft aromatic perfume. It has a kind of gourmand quality, on my skin it’s definitely smells like spiced mulled wine.It has a strange christmas mood,the blend of the notes evokes the image of chrismas market with its feeling and scents.
The clove and lime with the lavender firmly shines through on the soft musky-sandal base, the composition is twisted by piquancy and sensuality.MOUSSE is a warm and comforting fragrance with rounded edges and solid,sheer crispness.
Mousse by Oliver & Co. is a memory of a winter holiday with soulwarming feelings.:)
