I smelled this weird air freshener type odour emanating from the direction of a new coworker. We discovered that it’s actually hand lotion; the projection is monstrous as she sits about 20 feet from me and I feel suffocated by it. I think it’s the amber in it but it hits the back of my throat and I can almost taste it, which isn’t a good thing. I hate Bath and Bodyworks, and this certainly lives up to its repertoire; please don’t wear this, it needs to be discontinued.

Fragrance Review For Morocco Orchid & Pink Amber Bath & Body Works
Top Notes lemon verbena, apricot, sand, fig spices
    Middle Notes jasmine, orchid turmeric
Base Notes vanilla, cashmere wood amber
This is a spicy yet very sweet Oriental perfume. It’s classified as a floral Oriental but I found it mostly a fruity woodsy Oriental. It even reminds me of Cashmir by Chopard. It’s that kind of Oriental, not too heavy not too floral, not too aromatic. Just a well behaved and sweet Oriental. It opens with citrus sharp lemon verbena which I do love and some sweet fig and apricot. The combined notes end up smelling fruity and sweet but there are spices as well and they become very noticeable. It smells just like it’s name suggests: Morocco, or rather a market place in Morocco. It’s like walking in a tunneled outdoor marketplace where you walk past booths of spices. Like I said I did not find this too floral and the fruit was more pronounced. The flower that I could detect that is clearly the strongest accord is jasmine. That is funny because it’s supposed to be orchid. I find that orchid is not a very Oriental flower so it wears more like a jasmine Oriental scent. The orchid is there but it’s not big. I could really smell a beautiful jasmine. The fragrance dries down to a wood which to me could be sandalwood and vanilla with an amber. It’s mostly vanilla plus sandalwood but the amber gives the dry down a clean finish. Beautiful, not very elaborate but beautiful. Smells like a shy Arabic perfume. I find it wears better in spring and summer. Because of the sand note it also feels like you can wear this baby to the beach. It’s very summery and the slightest bit like an exotic sun tan lotion.

I have the body mist. For a mist it lasts a decent amount of time and I think it has to do with the multi layered fragrance. This is such a beautiful delicious exotic sexy fragrance. All the notes caress my nose and dance for me. I love the opening. It’s a verbena that doesn’t last very long and turns into a sweet juicy apricot. Then I get a fig and sand note, very tropical and like being at the beach. Then I smell the floral notes that are in it’s heart: the orchid and jasmine. It’s more orchid than jasmine. The scent develops quickly and almost smells linear but it isn’t. It takes time for it to give you all these different aromas. In the dry down I detect amber and vanilla. For a low price you get a really really good fragrance. I love this and wear this casually in the day time. It reminds me slightly of Siren by Paris Hilton although I’m not suggesting they smell the same. This smells like a more full bodied longer lasting Siren. I wish Siren had smelled like this. I love the design of the bottle and the packaging. Bought this on Amazon.com but the actual perfume is on ebay. I’m expecting it to arrive in the mail next week.

I smelled this on a co-worker and had to have it! I was reminded immediately of a perfume I used to love (until discontinued) by Mary Kay called Pure Bliss! I ended up buying it on clearance, as it seems like this one didn’t last long at BBW. To me, I smell apricot, fig, vanilla, and amber. I agree with other reviewers that many of BBW scents end up resembling one another because of the same musky base notes found in many of their scents. However, I do think this scent is worth having around for my own personal nostalgia to Pure Bliss, which I wish I could buy again! And I agree with previous reviewer, that BBW lotions are a great compliment to their body sprays, because the lotions DO seem to last longer than the sprays!

I have a large body spray of this one. I do like it. I would like to find a body lotion of this, actually, because I am finding the lotions last longer than body spray or perfume. Really!
It is nice, and yes it is pretty similar to the usual BBW scent. It’s warm, slightly gourmand, sweet. Yummy.

A waste of $4… I got the mini EDP, and I even regret spending that much on it. It’s the exact same thing that BBW has been putting out as “new” promo scents for the past two years.
It’s sweet, slightly fruity, with a creamy musky base. Absolutely boring, has no character, and smells like that stereotypical unnecessarily strong fruit-gourmand type that all the designers are selling out and producing these days.
Note-wise, I don’t smell hardly ANY of the listed notes. It’s straight up apricot, vanilla, and amber. That’s all. All the rest are only in the description to make it sound all exotic, like this dumb Moroccan archetype they’re going for (and failing at achieving).

    Same recycled BBW smell.

The fragrance is not bad however I find they all seem to smell alike. I just got the full size bottle on the 75% off store clearance sale along with a $2 body lotion. Definitely a great price for this fragrance if you get the sale price go grab some. Definitely though not worth the full price. It would be neat to see BBW expand their horizons to newer more risky scents. On the up side I did spray this about 4 hours ago and still smell it on my arm.

The opening is quite strong, and somewhat chemical. Drydown is nice and rich, orchid, sandalwood, and vanilla. I like it, but if you have Forever Midnight, or VS Midnight Exotics Sensual Jasmine, or VS Sheer Amber, you don’t really need this one. Morocco Orchid & Pink Amber is slightly richer, but it is not a significant difference. The bottle is nice, and I’m always delighted to see new Bath & Body Works products, which are fun to collect. Still, there is nothing new inside the bottle. Very pleasant, but whether it’s worth the expenditure depends on how many frags you’ve already got in this family.

This is a fragrance as mysterious as an evening in Morocco. This was quite a surprise and not something I would have picked up had I not caught a whiff of it on my daughter. The intrigue of this scent held my attention and I knew I would need to get this entire collection for myself. As soon as I made my purchase, I headed for my car to quench my fragrance craving. I spritzed my wrists. For just a moment I thought I would be disappointed as I smelled something more fruity and floral than the warmth I was seeking. Another moment passed as the scent warmed to my skin. Ah, there it was. I caught a heavenly, warm scent that immediately took me to a Mediterranean beach as the sun was setting into the sea, the palm trees swaying in the heat of the summer sea breeze. I could not stop smelling my wrist! I decided to layer the fragrance the next day and was impressed that it truly brought out something even more special and surprising. I could detect a slight, very soft clove note. So soft and in the background was something spicey that it became even more of an enigma. I wanted to know more. I have tried all the products in this line and I can’t get enough of them. The shimmer products are a beautiful and surprisingly subtle and sophisticated way to express a little glamorous fun without looking juvenile. The staying power is increased dramatically by layering with the lotion. I am going to purchase the perfume soon as I don’t always want to layer product to increase logevity.

I gave in to the temptation to buy the $4 promotional mini of Morocco Orchid & Pink Amber. It’s nice, but it’s really just the BBW house base in a different bottle. If you have French Lavender & Honey, Velvet Sugar, or umpteen other BBW scents, you don’t need this one.
