A very intense, dry woody cinnamon… I caught a tiny bit of the Red Hot note when I first sprayed it but that disappeared within seconds. Now it’s more nutmeg or clove-like. What’s interesting to me is I do get wheat… and I would believe a tiny bit of vanilla… but the overall tone of the fragrance is savory, not sweet. As far as smells go, I enjoy it, and I think it would be great for layering, but it’s definitely not very reminiscent of a cinnamon bun for me. I’d be far more inclined to call it Cinnamon Stick, with the warm light brown dusty nature that implies. It’s disappearing quickly on my skin, but spice seems to do that on me, so ymmv.

Oh gosh, this is a huge disappointment for me. Thank goodness I only bought a sample and not the whole thing! I was really hoping for a true Cinnabon-like sweet cinnamon bun scent but the cheap Red Hots candy scent is really overpowering the whole thing.
If you want to smell like Red Hots, you have a winner. If not, AVOID! Do not blind buy!!

Delicious! Demeter has a wonderful wheat/bread note that really is well done in their bakery scents, and this one showcases it well. Cinnamon, spice, and sugar. Lasts well for this brand. Cozy and warm, great for casual use in cooler months.

I’ve been looking for an affordable fragrance to replace my old Bath and Body Works cinnamon bun scented lotion. I was hoping for something that smelled sweet and buttery and edible, but Demeter’s cologne didn’t do it for me. While it smells sort of like a cinnamon bun in the bottle, it gets spicy and powdery once I apply it. Not a real cinnamon bun smell but still nice.

miss_piggy is right on the nose, as it were, but it’s not really clove that I’m getting. Too much fakey, craft-store-smell cinnamon, not enough bun. No bun actually, which is quite disappointing. I was expecting at least a hint of flaky pastry dough but there’s none to be had. It definitely has layering potential, though.

this one is a total want.. i love it when your walking by someone and the scent of your perfume goes into their nostriles.. and they say to you ” man you smell good” .. this cinnamon bun might surely do the trick! lately i have been wearing my cottoncandy body fantasies spray.. its a really good spray.. but it doesn’t last too long.. i think im going to go with a cotton candy longer lasting perfume… !

It smells like the Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls., but with a pumpkin pie overtone. While it is nice, it is not really true to it’s name.

I agree with Melgria that I wish it smelled more like cinnamon bread or had a doughy note to it. To me it really just smells like cinnamon. I like cinnamon so it’s not bad smelling, but it’s not bready or doughy 🙁 Cinnamon Toast by Demeter is truer to its name!

There is a clove note and a nutmeg note, that makes it smell like a pumpkin pie spice! very nice, warm and autumn-like, but I wish it smelled more like cinnamon bread.
