Monbloom smells like mildly flowery bandaids. So far, Ambra di Luna is the only Monegal fragrance I’ve liked, and I love that one.

This is a beautiful fragrance that is lacking a key element in its description here: Osmanthus.
It’s a note listed on Ramon Monegal’s website and on the card that comes with the perfume and I wish it was listed here because I can sometimes find tuberose a bit nauseating but osmanthus is one of my favorite scents and on MY skin this is an osmanthus powerhouse!
If you’re unfamiliar with it, osmanthus is a sweet, dried fruit kind of smell with an earthy animalic quality. I describe it as overripe/rotting apricots and horses. It features beautifully Monbloom in making it a rich and sexy, smoky, animalic floral.
I personally don’t believe in perfumes being only for men or women (there isn’t food just for men or women, why would there be smells just for men or women?) but I understand there are general differences in most commercial fragrance and people have their preferences. This IS a feminine scent that is just beefy enough to be considered unisex by many people. Men who wear Shalimar would enjoy a perfume like this. Absolutely gorgeous!

Creamy tuberose plays the lead in this white floral with jasmine, neroli, a very gentle oud and an ambery cistus drydown. Moderate sillage, moderate to good longevity. This could be worn to go to a meeting, or for a date – the tuberose here is less of an instant powerhousey screamer than many, but a few extra sprays or a layer of something leather or spicy can change the volume in a snap.
