I recently found four of these (Misq Begum, Misqaal, Anbar, & Masha) in Harvey Nicholls for less than half-price. It seems people had just been saying “what’s these!?” & not been buying them. And they didn’t have testers. So – what do I do in that circumstance? Look them up on here – obviously!. I read between the lines, clock the credentials of the writers, note the variety of reviews (including two from a incorrigable joker who loves to leave it ambiguous whether he actually likes the fragrance under consideration), and find that these have made quite a stir! The reviews for these fragrances make a very different shape from those of say Boss fragrances, the reviews for which seem to be almost entirely people figuring to themselves that they have just broken even, despite having paid very much less than the nominal price for the stuff. No the reviews for these are interesting, to say the least. And that is a good sign on here – so I get all four of them completely blind. And, quite frankly, it’s a direct hit! These are four gems. The parts of the reviews I agree with least are those in which some reservation is expressed. At first I thought “not original particularly, though”; but even that idea has been dispelled as I have worn them and distinctions have begun to emerge. And there is the matter of the apparantly very large number of notes in all but one of them … but doesn’t Clive Christian boast that some of theirs contain over two hundred?
This one is I think the most delicate of the four. It’s basically a delectible soapy musk. A little bit reminiscent of Kenzo’s Amour (one of my workhorse reference-standard fragrances), I would say. Perhaps even a little MFK Aqua Universalis (or if not that one exactly, one of those close to it – Cœlesta, maybe – I get them a bit mixed in my mind). Quite skin accord … which is a relatively new idea to me – but I think I’m getting the hang of it now. And also gently floral – just floral enough. On the whole, really quite excruciating & scrumptious.

“Misk Begum” is really good! It wasn’t light for me at all! The initial sourness from the green notes is simply divine and the L-O-V is adorable, very natural, very strong and enchanted with sweetness.
Beautiful, grown up floral fruity with a very dirty background of sourness.
I’m not sure if this is worth the huge price tag, but this is a very well crafted scent.

“Fleetingly short and unrealistically priced”
It’s a pleasant enough scent, light and sweet, something I believe a teenager or very young woman might wear. It reminded me of sunny beaches and suntan lotion.
Almost instantly the citrusy tone had disappeared, within 1 hour the whole scent was completely gone, not even lingering in my clothes.
Their website is an uncreative and malfunctioning kindergarten level project, they would have been better off not making one at all.
And all this for a price so staggeringly high, I’m wondering if this is some pet project of a pampered princess. Somebody needs a reality check!
