Powder, femininity, youth and playfullness. If you like flowers and powder this is the one. This is an all time classic… inoffensive and fragile in the softest way. Silage ang longevity is average. Fluffy as a cloud…

Powdery soft, feminine classic. Mimosa and peony dominant. Timeless.

    Pure old schools delight.
Reminds me of Jo Malone mimosa, but this has got more character.
Can be a little too much at times. So I simply layer it.
House of Guerlain is one of my best houses.

I smelled a blast of mellon and thought I was imagining things because I did not look up the notes before and did not expect Guerlain to have fruity perfumes, at least not one named Champs Elysees. But there it is. Opens with a blast of mellon and settles into a soft nondescript mix of which I can feel a bit of lilac. Pretty, but for me it’s nothing special.

I received a sample of this over the summer. It’s floral, feminine, and sweet, and it smells the way I imagine old Paris would smell in the springtime. I don’t think it’s something I would ever buy, but I enjoyed this fragrance during the warm months. Very pretty.

This is one of my all time favorite scents.
I will always love this beautiful fragrance.
A gorgeous, sweet, warm, feminine floral.
Mimosa, lilac, peony, rose, almond, peach and melon on a warm base (vanilla, sandalwood, benzoin and cedar).
The drydown is wonderful and the longevity is great.
I have and love both: EDP and EDT.
Perfect for every season, classy, an amazing signature scent.
    Unforgettable. A timeless masterpiece.

    Ohhhh!!! I adore you!
In between retro and modern, blooms beautifully that I can wear in our warm climate here in Asia.
Well composed flowers are polleny with a mix note of champagne and assam black tea infused with almond peaking from the start to drydown.
    Discreetly sensual, cheerful and comforting!
    One of my favourite Guerlain!

A 27 year old guy asked me about this one, said it was lovely and wrote down the name because he wanted to buy it for his girlfriend.
For me, this is realy uplifting, feminine, graceful sweet mimosa-melon fragrance, which blossoms beautifuly in warm weather. I just feel joyful and confident when I wear it. Love.

I like only the opening of Champs Elysees because I can find mimosa mixed with vanilla but the dry down is converted into concentrated peony only which I dislike

Nothing but flowers. I was hoping for some other notes such as fruit, wood, vanilla, and almonds, but all I got were flowers and plenty of them. If those missing notes come into play after an hour, I’ll never know. It smelled so awful on my skin that I had to wash it off after 15 minutes and spray something else over it because the scent would not die.
Perfect if you like floral notes. Avoid at all costs if you prefer gourmands. I love Guerlain in general, but… not this one.

I can’t remember if I wanted to love this one first or own it first (feel free to analyze that if you want…), and I couldn’t count the number of times I left a department store with a quick spritz of this, checking if I was ready to buy. Today I have eventually deleted Champs-Elysées from my “I want” list.
Champs-Elysées has a lot going one, but that usually doesn’t bother me and that’s not the reason. So I’m going to say it now: To me (I’m about to touch a sensitive subject, please don’t hate me), to me this is for someone who is a little more mature than me, someone with more life experience if you know what I mean. Still a lovely scent though and who knows, maybe one day I will be ready for it.

Going against the popular opinion here but I must say that this is probably the only Guerlain scent I don’t like. My extensive perfume collection is 95% Guerlain so I am a hardcore fan of the House. At first it seems like a nice but not unique floral but quickly spins into headache inducing territory. I’m guessing it is the mimosa. I’m picking up a rotted fruit note. I tried it several years ago and wasn’t impressed and just tried it again from a decant to see if my perspective had changed. Not my favorite scent by Jean Paul Guerlain.

This is such a gorgeous soft, gentle scent (soft as in the mood and feeling it creates – silage and longevity are strong!). I get a huge dose of almond, which is softened and sweetened with lilac and mimosa. In the first half hour it morphs on my skin from spring floral to almost edible – the vanilla/almond combo was perfectly described as cake-like by another reviewer!
I sometimes layer this with Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria line – Limon Verde complements C-E surprisingly well, adding some bright, sharp citrus notes.
An absolute beauty for when I want to feel snuggly and comforted, but elegant enough for evenings and totally office appropriate. And yet, when I want a smell that’s quietly intriguing, I reach for this one.
PS I know some people love Guerlain’s new bottles, but I am really sad about the re-design. If anyone wants to trade the older ‘architectural’ style bottle for a two-month-old 100ml bee bottle, give me a shout (must be UK based)!

This is everything. It will always be in my top few favorite perfumes. It infected my brain and I never forgot the scent. It is probably the only “powder” that has worn over my heart. That is probably because there is no soapiness to the powder, the powder is so subtle and gentle. It is so complex and yet balanced. If that confuses you, it’s probably not for you. The mimosa is so subtle as well. It is warm but cooling, old but new, sweet but not too sweet. It is spring time, when the sun comes out yet it is still a bit chilly, blooming flowers/trees, juicy berries, melon dipped in honey, sitting on freshly cut grass for a picnic with your loved one, feeling the breeze in your robe early in the morning, and clear sparkling waters. It is what I consider a hugging your mom perfume. It is sexy but not seductive, youthful and timeless, playful yet mysterious, white linens drying in the gentle outdoor breeze. It is the meaning of femininity to me and there is no other perfume like it. It is fresh and clean but not too much that it erases personality. There is no element of dirty musk or aggression to it, it’s just lovely. It is modern and yet so classy! It is not heavy, it is not bombastic, and showy so if you are a Chanel fanatic, this might not work for you. It is worn for you not for others around, it does not give away anything about you, it keeps you completely hidden and so it brings interest and mystery. To me it is intoxicating as well but not sexually intoxicating but more inoxicated by nature. What else can I say? It is beautiful! You have heard them say that this was not Guerlain’s best perfume when comparing with Shalimar and such…but to me it actually is his masterpiece. It was made for a woman who is a rebel, she understands this fragrance, she loves it….and the rest is history. She does not give a &%$ about opinions or approval. It is positive, joyful, and healing as well.

A delicate floral. I like but not love, not much projection nor silliage; I prefer more silliage and projection more projection even when it comes to florals. The notes are strong and confusing (to me) and project well at first but within the hr it develops into a light delicate fragrance. There is in it a note that I find prominent in Amarige and that I just don’t care for and I don’t know what it is, it is there and strong when first sprayed but as the notes develop it fades into the background making it light enough where it can be ignored.
Where to wear? Tea? I don’t do tea.
My beau loves it on me. Figures, he gifted me the Amarige.

Sweetness of flowers. When I wear Champs-Elysees, I feel like I’m holding a bunch of dewy fresh flowers in my arms. It brings many positive feelings to me. The spring time happiness. It’s not all about actual weather seasons. Ones in your life, when something new goodness happens.
And…it preserves the atmosphere of good old Champs-Elysees avenue. All you can see there now is boring lines of cheap worldwide brand stores. Among them, only the Guerlain boutique keeps special air you’ll want to feel at Champs-Elysees. Paris needs Guerlain in her heart.

What a delightful, classic scent. I’ve always thought this scent to be very uplifting, bright, fresh, magical, and just pure delightful. So many beautiful notes that play out as a beautiful song. On me it starts out with a heavenly peach, with rose, and some powder. In the back I sense a pinch or melon and black current. The floral comes into play much later on me. I don’t get much almond Blossom, but I do get mimosa and indeed more rose. Through-out most the perfume I get a lot of softness. The sandalwood and benzoin are very present through out the whole experience. I wish I got more vanilla, but on me it’s not there much.
It’s a thrilling ride no matter what. The longevity is wonderful as is sillage. A keeper as always in my collection. Please note however, I’m very partial to Guerlain, a bit of a junkie I am. Xox

When I run out of a bottle of this … I want one. Sometimes after a bottle you can stand to do without if it’s not a signature. But this smells so inviting. Like freshly shampooed hair and lotioned skin and fresh clean sheets and my lilac standard in spring. I MISS it when I don’t have it because there are some days you just need that smell of clean and floral. But it’s never cloying and never jarring. Very uplifting. So agreeable without being boring. Honestly I don’t consider it very seductive but men always like it. Also butterflies flit around my head when I wear it, which seems like a nod of approval. The drydown is heavenly but all stages are just simply so pretty.

Such a pretty sweet feminine parfum I love. This smell at first of fruit I smell the melon and mimosa which is like vanilla plus almond almost like a cake very delicious. I smell the flower of violet and rose peony and hibiscus. When parfum is dry on my skin is soft and woody with sandalwood and the cedar wood. This is not musky or smoky it’s soapy clean and fresh flowery so romantic and powdery. Wear it when is spring or summer with party dress. My husband love this parfum on me. Is party parfum for parties.

I only have the EDP, and it is a lovely, sparkling, optimistic scent.
Clearly this is a spring, summer fragrance. It does not bloom fully in cooler weather.
The melon comes clearly through the florals.
If you are into deeper, darker, spicier scents…you will not incline to this.

@ paper ghost No one cares abpout Luca Turin s opinion. And no one will choose something thiking that he likes or dislikes something. This fragrance is one of the best seller Guerlain ever…so, Turin must take a break. Considering the nowadays Guerlains, Champs Elysees is not just a beautiful scent as it is, but a masterpiece.

  26. :

Luca Turin dismissed Champs Elysees as the second worst perfume Guerlain has ever made. Well. If that’s so it says a lot for the quality of the house, because this is a very pretty and easy to wear fragrance. True, it’s no ‘grande dame’ like Shalimar or Mitsouko, but then not every perfume has to be. Champs Elysees is quite lovely in its own right and has established itself very firmly in my collection.

Hello from Decodawn. There is nothing quite like the gasp of excitement to see the Guerlain Flagship store 68 Champs Elysees. It is a monumental historical building and just fabulous inside. I own many Guerlain fragances and spritzed Champs Elysees in the store so I could remember the moment I visited the store in Paris forever. The edp is fresh, floral, rounded and green it is a couple in love enjoying the spirit of Paris the ‘city of light’ ‘sparkling’ like the Champs Elysees and the Eiffel tower at night. Guerlain are the best perfumers in the world. Try it you will love it.

Very classy! Easily one of my favorites. This is no Shalimar, and is certainly not monumental in the history of perfumery, but very lovely nonetheless. I have Shalimar and this by far gets more wear. Full bodied but not strong, creamy yet fresh floral fragrance. Truly reminds me of spring in Paris! The EDP lasts for 8 hours on me.

At first sniff – lily of the valley – fresh, sweet, magnificent. It opens with floral scent, more floral than fruity to my nose. In the opening there is a mixture of mimosa, rose, lily of the valley, violet – like a little floral garden from someone balcony. Some fruity notes can be spotted but in a little proportion. I can smell anise because it spreads a sharp, pungent odour. It’s not disturbing, it’s like a high note to a musical composition. The result is a beautiful harmony between flowers and fruits.
The heart of the perfume is sweeter than the opening. This sweetness comes from peony and rose, it is more like a jammy odour. To my nose this is not a mimosa scent. It is a floral scent but not with mimosa on the first line.
The dry-down is vanilla, woods and benzoin, sweet and warm. Projection and longevity are average on my skin. Not a loud perfume for me.
This is a lovely perfume, no matter what others say. Maybe it is not as good as L’Heure Bleue but is beautiful in its own way. I recommend a try if you look for a floral fruity scent.

This is gorgeous! It’s everything that everyone says it is. It’s a sweet, fruity, slightly powdery floral. I can’t pick out individual notes except I smell a lot of lilacs in the opening and maybe almond blossoms, but then it settles into an impressionistic floral bouquet. I can’t remember which perfume it was but another reviewer compared their perfume to an impressionist Monet painting. That is Champs Elysees. It is well-blended, romantic, gauzy, and all softness, no edges, nothing sharp. Just smooth, and creamy, and very, very pretty.

You know what this smells like?
    Almond Macarons!
Champs Elysees Eau de Parfum is like walking into those quaint little cafes and the macaron dessert shops in Paris. I think that’s what they were going for when they formulated this perfume. This smells like those pink and powder blue macarons stacked atop each other tempting you from the window displays. This is a sweet gourmand fragrance. I was surprised at how girlish it is. In fact coming from the mid 90’s (1995 or 1996) this actually predates the saccharine girly scents Guerlain has out there like Petite Robe Noir which I don’t care for. But this I like. It’s grown-up, sophisticated and youthful at the same time. Opens with a fruit merengue like ordering peach cobbler and a sweet currant note is delicious as it starts. A charming opening if I ever smelled one. Then the florals come through and they are subtle and delicate little mimosa, rose buds, peony, lilac, violet and hibiscus. It’s definitely a fruity floral with a feminine sweetness and flirtatiousness that never goes wild.
It’s not a sexy seductive scent. She is still innocent this young French girl but she is what we call a tease! She dresses in tight form fitting mini dresses and is never seen in a pair of jeans. She is girly girl with pink nail polish and pink lipstick. She would have pink hair and the men folk would still be after her like bees to honey.
The dry notes that I can detect are more along the lines of Guerlain classic ingredients: sandalwood, benzoin, cedar, but over it all, a vanilla. The vanilla is what keeps this thing together. This is woodsy and vanilla scented, powdery, sweet, and ultimately one of the finer spring floral perfumes for young women that Guerlain ever offered. Coincidentally back in ’96 I found this fragrance in the Paris based Guerlain flag store and I was initially uninterested until the sales lady insisted I test it. I thought it would be something too youthful for me but because it is a 90’s vintage it can be worn by women beyond the age of 40-50 and up. This fragrance is one of the loveliest powdery vanilla florals from Guerlain. The eau de parfum and eau de toilette spray bottles are available for purchase from sellers on Amazon.com and eBay.

True love affair since 1996. I’ve never smelled anything like it…one spray in the morning and I feel optimistic and radiant. A genuine gift, as I’m not exactly a glass half-full girl. If ever there comes a day this can’t be found, I will be heartbroken.

I can’t pass up a cheap blind buy, and this EDP crossed my path. Clean, floral, soapy, powdery scents are NOT my thing. I like loud gooey syrup gourmands, heavy vanilla/spice, etc… but I love Guerlain. Even if a Guerlain scent is not your “thing” it’s still a lovely, wearable, pleasing, quality perfume.
This is just rather average/common/generic on me. A clean, somewhat sharp (not in a bad way) floral. I think the sharpness must be the almond notes because this reminds me of Cinema by YSL. I never quite got citrus/vanilla when I wore Cinema.
However… yesterday was COLD and had record breaking winds (up to 60 mph) and I went outside in my EDP and the magic happened. I got this lovely cold, dry Guerlain signature powder. This is what sets Champs Elysees apart from other fresh/florals….. that quality and depth. Beautiful. I also got some slight sweet/vanilla when I moved around. My purpose of blind buying this was for the almond notes and the Guerlain quality.
I’m not sure how often I’ll reach for this… but I am glad I have it. On skin, it really didn’t project/last unless I moved around/went outside. I’m sure I have a recent formula, having just got this from Fragrancenet. (This was one of their 95% full deals, but the bottle was brand spankn’ new!)

It is nice, sweet and floral perfume, but has lipstick-like smell to it.
Succulent peach and sweet mimosa notes are very prominent and woodsy note surfaces later on.
Good silage and lasting power. I will have to experiment this in warmer climate to see how it develops.

Still one of my Top 3 favorite perfumes of all time. I wore it when it first came out, it was my signature. After that, it became harder and harder to find, and I reluctantly moved onto other scents. While chypres have become my favorite type of fragrance, Champs-Elysees will always be in heavy part of my rotation. It’s mimosa, apple-y, slightly powdery scent smells almost like ice-cold wine. This is the scent I always imaged when Anne Rice had Lestat describe all those drunken philosophical conversations with Nicolas. It is classified as a fruity-floral, but it is so much more than that, and certainly head and shoulders above most of the modern creations. I will always love this, and plan on stocking up in case the worst happens and it becomes discontinued.
I know I said most of this in my earlier review, and that Luca Turin can stick his review where the sun doesn’t shine, but felt like it bears repeating.

Absolutely stunning florals and perfect little number by the house of guerlain! I’m not sure this is a very ME scent but nonetheless stunning! The drydown is very reminiscent of Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori to me! (Now that perfume is so me!) no surprise they share lots of notes but done very differently. Champs starts of with the floral notes heavenly dancing a top the almonds and sandalwood. They showcase their full lucious blooms powdery polleny goodness. After an hour they give way to the vanilla almond and woody yummyness! The middle notes and the drydown are the parts I highly associate with Hanae Mori. Here Geurlain does it in a more gentle way much more tender version of Hanae Mori! It’s delightful… If it was this way the entire time I would love it!

This edp is very similar to the edt minus the screeching note . Mind you, I am comparing with my left over edt from my youth , which is so old it smells like a powerbomb.
Contrasting to that the edp is much smoother, softer, onctuous , not as loud. I definitely recommend the edp over the edt if you can find it, it is of course discontinued.
The bottle looks exactly the same, but this comes in 75 ml instead of 100 ml.
One or the most realistic mimosa scents ever ! Strong and elegant, a classic, very good value for money per ml.

Overall,Champs-Elysees EDP smells like lovely powdery body lotion to my nose.it reminded me of Johnson & Johnson’s body lotion.the one in pink coloured bottle.
I got this kinda smell on the drydown of this perfume which to me,it is indeed timeless and beautiful.what had making me feeling proud with Champs-Èlyseès is,this perfume is a skin-friendly type.the drydown sits nicely and not fading even after I have washed my hands.the scent remains.
I get strong scents of mimosa, peony, lilac, lily of the valley, rose, anise, benzoin, vanilla n blackcurrent.these are the scents that i get on my skin on the initial spray of it.yes it is fruity floral.
On the nozzle spray,i can smell juicy combinations of peach n blackcurrent.these two are obvious.melon is there but in a minimal trace.

A walk down the Champs Elysees starting from the Elysee Palace on the Rue De Faubourg. I’m dressed impeccably in a pretty deep purple Givenchy dress or an Yves Saint Laurent, depending on the day, well-manicured from fingernails to toenails, elegantly coiffured in an up-do, French twist, and high heels. I’m holding a clutch not a handbag, a clutch that cost as much as the YSL dress because it was purchased during Paris Fashion Week. The air is cool and the spring breezes blows softly through the trees. Out of the shops the scent of money, merchandise, cosmetics, perfumes, and women, women, women, happy women who have been doing nothing but shopping all day. This is that kind of cosmetic inside of a handbag powdery fragrance, a beauty salon scent, similar to fragrances like Paris by Yves Saint Laurent, Red Door by Elizabeth Arden or Fifth Avenue by Elizabeth Arden. There is one major difference: this is sweeter, more of a gourmand fruity floral of such delicacy and femininity as to be far more enjoyable and far more evocative of a pretty French girl shopping in the Right Bank.
At times this fragrance is like YSL Paris, but with less powdery notes. It doesn’t have such screeching florals and has a softer projection. It’s a sophisticated and mature but girly scent. It smells like a Guerlain fragrance that adapted to 1990’s fruity florals which were always in vogue (i.e. Deci Dela by Nina Ricci, Tresor by Lancôme). It has just the right amount of everything to keep you happy. This is almost perfect, and it really did move me. I wore it to Paris Fashion Week and was on Cloud 9 in my new wardrobe for next year. This is a fragrance that matches up with shopping for clothes in Paris and does evoke the Champs Elysees and the money.
The first spritz of Champs Elysees is pure almonds. There are 3 notes of almond: almond, almond blossom and almond tree so there’s no missing that almond. It’s nutty and delicious, almost caramelized, with a vanillin to keep it creamy and sweet. Sweetness from the start. It turns into a fruit scent rather quickly. It’s a sweet aroma of currant, melon and peach. I absolutely loved that it has no citruses. After years of wearing citrus, I’m happy to welcome fruit scents that have other fruitiness to them and I love peach more than citrus. If this had other notes like raspberry, licorice and or strawberry, it would have been too much or would have fallen into the Lolita Lempicka mood. As it is it’s mostly an almond with blossoms and flowers, woodsy, floral, vanilla.
The floral notes I could best detect include violet, lilac, lily of the valley, mimosa and rose. The hibiscus is not showing up on me but there is something like a shampoo with floral aroma in it and I’m pretty sure that’s the hibiscus. The other flowers turn into powder. They are dainty flowers on a powder box. It’s quite pretty and powdery as opposed to fresh or green. Even YSL Paris had something of greenery to it. This is far more fruity and floral and powdery. This perfume never gets obscene and one can freely bathe in it. This is the type of perfume I seek after wearing too many gloomy dark Orientals and ouds. This is a happy casual day time perfume for ladies who love to pleasure themselves by simply putting on perfume. You can also take this baby shopping, even if it’s not on the Champs Elysees and it’s in your local mall.
The dry down is vanilla, which is also coming off as powdery, but can still smell like regular vanilla. The vanillin is layered in sandalwood and cedar wood, giving this scent a touch of woods but it’s soft and in a dreamy haze, a haze provided by the benzoin and the lightest, lightest touch of it’s incense. The almond tree in the base keeps it in the almond realm. I was surprised by just how much almond was in it. It’s like a dessert. Like a French dessert one orders in a café on The Champs Elysees itself.
This is never boring but I wish that it had more fruit and more gourmand scents but in early 1996, Jean and Jacques Guerlain, the noses behind this scent, didn’t have other perfumes to compare it to and the fruity florals were brand new and emerging as a new form of perfumery. They did a fine job but appear to have shown restraint and kept it in a lady like and well behaved manner. It’s even rather conservative and like a light chypre floral. At times it almost seems like a variation on Femme by Rochas. If you like the following scents you’ll like this:
    Femme Rochas
    Paris Yves Saint Laurent
    Red Door Elizabeth Arden
    Fifth Avenue Elizabeth Arden
This is quite gorgeous and still available in it’s original form. It has not been reformulated to my knowledge and I wear the originals. I never tire of this scent. I prefer this to Paris by Yves Saint Laurent and consider this scent to be the better representation of Paris France. It’s cozy and elegant, sweet and edible, a perfume to satisfy your fruity floral cravings. I am wearing this even in Manhattan now that I’ve returned from Paris Fashion Week and it elevates my mood as I get over the fatigue and jet lag from the journey. This perfume. All I have to do is close my eyes and take a whiff and I’m in Paris, on that grand avenue.

While we were in Greece, my mom tested it and it was love at first sight. I have smelled it long ago and unfortunately I can’t still say it’s my thing. It’s a weird floral to my nose, it starts too green and spicy for me, yet it’s a very distinctive scent. It’s not a straight up powder like Insolence for example, it’s fruity powdery scent with hints of spices. The lilac, mimosa and violet are very prominent. It’s a nice scent for spring and fall. The drydown is beautiful, however this perfume is not my cup of tea, but I am so glad that my mom found her new signature.

I’ve had Idylle for some time now, and I’d been debating with myself for weeks whether I really need another Guerlain floral… but today I finally gave in and purchased Champs-Elysees. I’m wearing it right now and, honestly, this stuff is divine. The opening is a bit harsh, with anise and almonds obscuring the flowery heart, but after only a couple of minutes it morphs into a gorgeously flowery-powdery luxurious bath. While Idylle is dominated by the rose, the strongest note in Champs-Elysees is mimosa (and I absolutely adore this modest January flower), although the rose is also there, together with lilac and peony. In terms of projection and longevity, Champs-Elysees actually beats Idylle by a wide margin, yet it’s never intrusive. Truly a masterpiece.

Oh Guerlain, you always know the way to my heart, be it your perfumes, skin care, or makeup. This is such a happy, cheerful, elegant, refined, beautiful perfume. It truly is a joy to wear! The Almond Tree Flowers and Mimosa are so true and jubilant, and accented gorgeously with almond tree wood. As you inhale the sweet, soft yet bright florals, at the tail end you can detect the soft, nutty, waxy texture of the almond wood. The Hibiscus seeds are like the ribbon around the bouquet. The almond and Mimosa/Almond Blooms together is beautiful. This is elegant, Sophisticated, beautiful, feminine, soft, and deliciously intoxicating. I cannot get enough of it!

Does this smell like what I’ve always imagined Paris to smell like? Nope, not at all. This smells like my grandmas yard in the spring time, and I’m getting a bit sentimental. This has peony, lilac, lily-of-the-valley, and rose among many other glorious notes, but these are the ones that were heavy hitters at grandmas house

It’s very rare that I buy a frag more than once. It’s mostly b/c I simply get tired of it as the bottle empties. This is the ONLY frag that I have purchased, not twice, but three times!
My daughter was getting married this past January, and I went on a research spree for a suitable frag for myself. Since it was a destination wedding at a beach resort, I wanted something light but not fruity, something not ‘too out there’ as I was the mother of the bride. When I couldn’t find anything I thought was suitable, I simply purchased the Champs, b/c I knew it would be perfect.
I dunno what it is about this frag…the initial hit is oh so wonderfully floral without that cloying overly sweet way some florals can be. I don’t know if it’s the mimosa or the peony, but it grabs my nose and holds it…in a great way.
Sometimes you just have to go with what you know and what works.

There was a scathing review of this perfume that questioned the mental capacity of anyone who enjoyed this perfume, calling it the second-worst perfume Guerlain ever made. To that, I say the critic can stick it up their jumper. Yes, it can be sharp at first, but it settles down to a lovely, powdery, mimosa. It almost reminds me of ice-cold Apple wine. It is very much a “yellow” scent. One of the previous reviewers said it sparkled, and it really does seem that way. In the end, perfume is supposed to make the wearer happy and Champs Elysees makes me happy.
The perfume is a little richer and less sharp than the eau de toilette, in my opinion.

I cannot be impartial to this perfume. and my description won’t be of any help, sorry, I’ve never tried to distinguish the notes or the pyramid here 🙂 It is eternal classic and elegance!
Champs-Elysées was the first perfume my father gave me, I was leaving my home-town then to study abroad… almost 15 years ago now! When I run off the bottle I’d always buy a new one, even though I don’t use the perfume much now, only as a special treat. It erases boundaries, time, distance… It is simply beautiful.

To me it’s narcotic. I sniff myself obsessively when I wear this. I think I might have a problem!
It is perfection as far as floral scents go. It is creamy, well rounded, strong and hypnotizing and yet it maintains a completely natural vibe.
So many flowers here, I think you might need to be aware of bees.
The fruits are playing the support role and they are mature and elegant while the vanilla and benzoin warm it up so skilfully.
(This has nothing to do with the majority of fruity-florals that keep popping out on the market today with their synthe
