This is creamy powdery with tiny tiny resonance of dark licorice, vanilla (so characteristic of LL gourmand range) version of Illusions Noires Le Premier Parfum Eau de Minuit. The shift has moved so far from gourmand, It’s more powdery then gourmand which makes it safe for office wear. I miss the dark bits though. The licorice and vanilla tries to get through powdery iris but it’s too clean. The longevity was reasonable.

Today arrived this fancy Lolita bottle/perfume. I thought it will be different than the other Lolitas, to my nose smells like fresher Fleur defendue with the regular LL edt. Fleur defendue is more creamy and sweeter, but this Minuit d’or feels like a shampoo or hair conditioner. I feel strong violet instead of licorice with some fresh notes. I’m disappointed, on my skin is very solid and faint, too lightish, innocent and average for my taste, unfortunately I can’t feel any dark or smokey notes. I don’t find this too sweet or gourmand, can be wear all year like an everyday fragrance. If you don’t know the other Lolitas, you can consider this great stuff, but I smelled other 3, so after these experiences I can say there is nothing new or special to my nose.

This is my favorite lolita so far. I love this one and think it’s even better than the original. I like dark,deep, resinous,smoky scents. This has a load of benzoins and myrrh, light on the licorice. I don’t smell any jasmine. The iris is dark and slightly powdery, and i smell green ivy though it’s not listed in the notes, definatly green notes. It’s georgeous, long lasting with great sillage. Im in love and will be buying a back up bottle

I like this alot! There is a smokey note in here that is quite interesting, I think that is the myrrh. Really good warm scent….

I got this perfume expecting to get a LL with a vanilla twist. I am disappointed, the scent on my skin is 99.9% original LL but with a weaker strength and toned down licorice. I love the golden bottle and even the box is artistic, If i had known I was getting a slightly weaker LL I wouldn’t have paid the extra money, I would have just bought the original LL that now you can get for 20$ on ebay. Why does LL change the bottles to offer the same scent year after year?

A wonderful edition to the Midnight Collection I’m not a great expert just some guy who loves Lolita Lempicka’s creations…First positive comment is that immediately when you spray D’Or on you can tell that it’s stronger than the previous Minuit for 2014 Midnight Sun I believe and much more concentrated you get a strong dose of Licorice and then it immediately blends in to the very strong vanilla iris benzoin and violet to produce that wonderful play dough vanilla dolls head so you can just enjoy that until the fragrance starts to settle down and you start to smell the more floral essence in the base and then after a couple hours it’s that wonderful lightly moist mossy soil earthy smell imagine the cutest baby kitten just took a little walk on a fairy’s farm pastures of green moss and then batted at your nose to play with you thats the clean earthiness smell….I absolutely love this edition I recommend highly
