My first review doesn’t do enough justice to this underrated gem, it’s really growing on me. The aura getting from this juice is very addictive. Only complain is the synthetic sweetness can be bit cloying sometimes. Actually this kinda remind me of Dusita Issara than Burberry London. Don’t get me wrong, Issara is different in many ways, and of course overall experience and quality is nowhere near Issara. But Cigar Commander has very similar vibe. Wonder if anyone else had the same experience?

A good value for money fragrance . I’ve gone through a few bottles of this and Cigar when I first started it in the perfume world and still have a bottle of this in my collection .
Best suited for winter and colder weather .
I have got many compliments of wearing this in winter months .

This fragrance is a 4 out of 5 for me. I do not like it because its not very interesting or unique. However my lady friend loved it. She says it will smell just right around your neck while someone is hugging you. So it is a compliment getter. Its light but not weak. I would this in the fall or cool nights. I showered and you could still smell it on my skin lightly. The whole Cigar line presentation is corny IMO, but the quality of the bottle, case, and sprayer is top notch. Which turns their corniness into their unique character. Respect this house. This smells to have John Varvatos DNA in it once dried down. But not the cloying I get with JV scents. Quality product, but not for me.

This was a sucessful blind buy for me, very cheap but doesn’t smell cheap at all. Definitely a tobacco oriented perfume, but tobacco is missing in the notes pyramid. Very similar to Burberry London, Cigar Commander is slightly sweeter and aromatic. To me Cigar Commander is much better and refined than original Cigar which is very sharp. Performance is average, best suited for fall.
    Gorgeous box and bottle.

This is one of my favorites along with the original. Both similar to Burberry London; this a bit greener with this camphorous green (as decant color/design evokes) edge that BL lacks (similar to green note in Versace Dillian Blue). Once it hits that green note it’s in mid stages, becoming powdery cedar in last stages. In the opening it actually smells like a greenish clove incense and patchouli, brighten by citrus (lemon? )..very headshoppy and retro chic. Would love to find the niche brand that has nailed this (closer than BL) or maybe someone does in the future. Decent 6-8 hour longevity…is great!
On a final note; as much as the green glass decant and cigar agenda totally depict the smell of the juice..this to me, illustrates a ‘Green Cigar’, as in either Garcia y Vega Elegantes, heavily mentholated chew or perhaps a cigar filled with your own blend of that green Cali chronic that shines like a reflector when you shine a light on it LOL
    PS
Get this if you like pine/menthol..
About 45min after application, it develop a strong green sharp pine/menthol note. Akin to those pine scented green trees or glass tube car freshners from the 80s filled with green liquid:0)
    9/10

It’s a bit too harsh.. lacks a little bit of something more refined, more layered.. I don’t know maybe the lemon/cardamom combo is too much.. It’s really starightforward herbal tobbacco, and I can understand the love, but it’s not for me.. poor longevity but good projection for the first hour.. didn’t toss the bottle though, I’ll try it a couple of times more… wore it 5 to 6 days and still not enjoying it but.. who knows..

This one smells elegance and has its own charisma. I personally feel stand out among other men while using Cigar. any guy can buy fancy perfume they can, but we cant buy an attitude…
I once had Cigar (brown version) and for comparison I like them both but the brown one is last little bit longer. I lost my brown cigar when my backpack was stolen, but now I have the commander for replace, recomend buying, but it just me
edit: dont overspray it, it causes dizzyness.. 2 sprays is good. 3 for maximum attention.. 4 start being a freak.. 5 must over it…

I got this one today, and I really like it.
It does have some similarity to the original cigar, but it also smells very similar to a rare old cologne called Gastby pour lui by Pacoma.
Nice and warm. Very cozy smell.

I’m supplementing my earlier review because I really feel that tobacco needs to be in the note pyramid. Cigar Commander is one of the most “tobaccoey” of tobacco fragrances, topped only by Acqua di Cuba and Tabacco by Odori. It’s got all the facets of a cigar tobacco leaf wrapper – it smells peppery, deep, aromatic and wet, just like the real thing.
And yes, I agree with the comments saying this smells a lot like Burberry London, only Cigar Commander has more tobacco and is bolder.

Give it about 1/2 hour for the sparkling citrus top to settle- truly pleasant frag- especially for its price. Tobacco, patchouli, tonka, musk, amber, sandalwood and a very light touch of birch tar for a near-subliminal smokiness. Jasmine? Yes, but it is so carefully-balanced against the rest that it resembles a wood-tone here. A bit like A*Men, and longevity could be better, but still impressive.

    I wear it and I feel masculine… like it…

I prefer this one better than Cigar Original, Smells is calm & manly, not offensive 🙂
    Scents: 4/5
    Sillage: 3/5
    Longevity: 3.5/5

Cigar Commander is one of my favorite tobacco fragrances. It’s of the spicy, aromatic variety, sort of like a toned down Havana. If you’ve smelled Cigar, you have an idea of what this is like.
It’s spicy like Cigar, but much greener smelling. I have a feeling this is what uncured tobacco smells like, after it’s just been picked and is still green. Patchouli and cedar round off this manly aromatic brew very well. This isn’t a powerhouse, as sillage and longevity are merely average, but this is a fragrance with a bold, ballsy scent.
This is a good choice for fans of macho tobacco fragrances.
    MY RATING: 8/10

The original Cigar starts off sharper and brighter and louder than Commander. Commander starts off sweeter and a bit darker. Darker like cocoa- rich and smooth.
The original Cigar seems to be more potent and long lasting.

An Excellent fragrance. The Original Cigar is a bit more mainstream. This one is very nice. Refined, Elegant, reminds you of men from a different age, sitting in a lounge drinking scotch and smoking expensive cigars. Very masculine and very well done. And very inexpensive…

This is a nice yet reasonably priced perfume,
Like its predecessor Cigar, its potent the longer you kept.
Lasting power on body is not that long,
But when its finishing, its more lasting and apparent ,
    Summary ;
Nice Masculine EDT , but short lasting power.
