I am guessing from reading previous reveiws that I prob have the newer reformulated version,as I can’t detect many spicy ingredients.
However,as it is so reasonably priced and so refreshing,I don’t regard this as a waste of money.
Lovely to splash on as a crisp, innofensive daytime fragrance for summer or as a base layer for something a bit more exciting for evening.
I find this works well with Cacharel L’Homme or Aramis Gentleman.
The matching shower gel is excellent value for money as it comes in a huge size and leaves the skin refreshingly fragrant.

A classic low cost scent here in Spain, i have one 100ml (3,4oz) bottle with 20ml inside since 2003 (11 years). Now, the citrus top notes don’t exist anymore and i only smell the base notes, some kind of heavy nutmeg and oak moss with strange liqueur background. I don’t remember the longevity back in 2003 but now in my wrist the scent disappears in 40 min.
Overall: 5. Decent

A beautiful fragrance in the same lemony-spicy direction as Cacharel Pour Homme. Because of IFRA regulations, this inexpensive old masterpiece has lost all his character. Bergamot and Oakmoss as distinctives components has been drastically reduced or changed by other aromachemicals making too sharp and short lived the head notes and breaking the scent balance. A shame.
PS: I noticed that the current perfume reformulation no longer resemble cacharel pour homme, perfume that sought to use the popularity due to the combination of spices and citrus (bergamot and nutmeg mostly) and happened to have a bottom chord vaguely reminiscent dior fahrenheit in order to have a connection to the olfactory memory of the users and thus remain pleasing to the male audience (the olfactory memory trick is usually widely used in flavor composition who succeed in the market).

The most classic and famous spanish man scent.

a big classic here, a rich smell, very wintherish and full of class in spite of being of quite a low cost, anybody wishing to feel like a gentleman but having no big budget should use this one

Wow!! I love this scent, so ‘clean’ and fresh, but, yet so ‘warm’ also.
I have never had a scent with those two distinct characteristics together at one time before.
really nice “understated elegance”.
I would love this to be my ‘signature’ scent, but, unfortunately; it does ‘not’ have much ‘staying’ power.
What a shame.
