This one’s interesting. It has only received one compliment, from an ex that I’m pretty sure was a privateer in a past life.
Anyway, its kinda soapy, woody, salty, and briny. There’s also a nostalgic sort of dusty gundpowder/liiight patchouli thing going on, but this reads more aquatic than patchy. I’m not a huge fan of the opening, but on drydown its a soft aquatic. I’ll keep my bottle, but I certainly don’t need the backup I bought. Much prefer Thalassa The Galapogos Mermaid and some other indie aquatics.

Soapy aquatic green, fading to fresh cut grass with fainter soap note and that slightly rotten edge you get with damp grass in piles. Salt comes in at about 15 minutes, but doesn’t appreciably change the scent. If I really sniff nosebleed hard, I can get a sense of patchouli that is aged like old leather and a hint of leather and plastic/metal that might be representative of gunpowder. Overall though is the rotten leaves/damp cut grass smell with a soapy aquatic edge. Not nice, not special and not for me.
