The Body Shop launches new fragrances Life Is Gold and Red Musk Oud which will be available as limited edition. Life is GOLD is aimed at women and is created as an oriental-floral fragrance. The Body Shop has launched and promoted it especially in the Middle East together with woody-spicy perfume Red Musk Oud, celebrating the month of Ramadan and Eid. Life is Gold i Red Musk Oud are available in specially designed sets to celebrate the holiday.
Fragrance The Body Shop Life is Gold belongs to the collection of Life is… and is composed of juicy and sweet mandarins combined with thick, floral heart of freesia and jasmine, warmed with flavors of tonka and benzoin. Benzoin leaves a soft, subtle trail this time, reminding us of vanilla. The above mentioned notes were selected to convey the image and fragrant experience from the golden garden.
Life is Gold is available as 50ml Eau de Parfum and 30ml perfume oil whose glass is decorated with golden color ornaments.
Life is Gold was launched in 2015.

It’s reminding me of the smell of toilet. It does smell nice, but just the impression is not good for me.
Its quite a simple scent; has no depth at all.
However, its still better than the original Life Is…

I just try the perfume and I’m glad I did. Life Is Gold being sell in form of perfume oil in my country. I don’t really pay much attention to it because I was there to actually try on Red Musk & Red Musk Oud. Half an hour later, I kept smelling something nice. Then I realize I am smelling Life Is Gold!! Light, but classy. The projection is nice, not strong, drydown to elegant scent. Not so long lasting, very close to skin. However, after a while enjoying sniffing the perfume, I start to feel this not a masterpiece. I won’t buy any perfume if the perfume remind me of other perfume I ever smell. And yes, Life Is Gold actually remind me of Avon Little Black Dress. I found the similarities in drydown, but LBD is more sharp to my nose. I like Life is Gold, but I won’t end up purchasing one.

I’m absolutely happy with my purchase of this fragrance. It’s a well composed fragrance – it has some interesting complexity to it. Not just another ‘meh’ release from The Body Shop. The top notes are absolutely gorgeous florals which is slightly sharp but tolerable. I shouldn’t mention sharp here as it might deter some readers out there, but just itsy bitsy sharp that makes this fragrance ‘alive’ as I call it.
It smells expensive that’s for sure. Trust me. Not just because of the sensual and slightly opulent base. The top floral notes smells…. posh and rich and perfumey, if you get what I mean. For those who are used to mingling with fragrance for years will surely be able to tell a well made fragrance from a poor one. The base is unmistakably the benzoin. I can’t help but to think of Calvin Klein Euphoria Gold for men. The base note is almost the same, except that in Life is Gold it’s not as screechy as it is in Euphoria Gold for men. But both are beautiful.
Longevity is pretty excellent while sillage is moderate. The floral part is quite persistent and will only reveal the base part after quite some time. I can’t discern the floral mix. It’s very complex. I’m simply impressed with this edition. The theme chosen & the time of launching was perfect! To wear this special fragrance on the day of Eid Mubarak is just so heavenly. But that will only happen next year as I bought this fragrance only after the celebration. The sad thing is its availability. Not all countries will have this fragrance at the stores. Otherwise, many people will be able to discover the beauty of this gem. For those who are lucky enough to have it at their stores, get it. You’re not going to regret it.
