This is one of my favorite scents! It is spicy and resinous, but soft and feminine. It is a quintessential oriental. As a lover of vintage perfumes, I always do my perfume research. I believe that this perfume may have been inspired by Vigny’s Beau Catcher, which came out a bit before Mantrap and smells almost completely identical. Notice any similarities in the names? It isn’t hard to believe considering Vigny’s popularity in the early 20th century. A modern scent that is somewhat similar would be Dana’s Tabu.
