Description

Yves Saint Laurent’s fragrance Manifesto from 2012 got its first flanker announced for September 2013. Manifesto l’Elixir is intense and passionate version of the original, characterized as “a veritable alchemy of dazzling sensuality.” (source)

The composition is floriental – woody, opening with sour citrus blend of bergamot and mandarin. The combination of Arabian Sambac jasmine, heliotrope and tuberose absolute in the heart leads to the warm base of cashmere, vanilla and ambergris (ambroxan).

Actress Jessica Chastain represents a femme fatale in the advertising campaign for the new fragrance. She is photographed by Max Vadukul. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

Manifesto l’Elixir was created by Anne Flipo and Loc Dong.

A beautiful, elegant and sensual fragrance from YSL that really amazed me the first time I smelled it. This is a mature vanilla with an oriental twist which really appeals to my nose. It’s definitely the heavier and sweeter version of the original Manifesto which is more woody and fruity. It almost shares some similarities with Dior Addict but they do not smell the same of course. I bought 2 bottles of this because I read it has been discontinued :(( it’s a shame because it really is a hidden gem so check it out while you still can!

Nice casmere wood, vanilla and citruses. Catchy!
Only I could feel the fragrance from nearly third attempt. Not loud. I like the bottle also. This version is better than original, imho.

Great fragrance! I am usually unimpressed by YSL perfumes, but this one really hit me. It is opulent, glamorous and very sensual. It has one of the best vanillas i’ve ever smelled. It smells natural, edible, luxurious. This is not your cheap gourmand vanilla. This is mature (but not dated) and elegant. And what about projection? I was so surprised! The first spray is powerful! With time, it gets softer, but you can still smell it on you for hours, without having to sniff your wrist. If only all perfumes were like this!
I regret not having tested it earlier, this is a super scent!

it’s a pretty vanilla scent. grown up vanilla, creamy, caramel sweetness with a bit of bitterness in the background. it’s quite linear, don’t expect any special development here but it is a nice perfume though.. a nice vanilla interpretation and that’s it. it’s not a weak scent but if you like them strong and heavy i would go for something different because you might end up disappointed. for the sillage to be moderate you would have to spray it more generously or more often – not something you would expect from an elixir. also if you have a habit of puting your perfume on clothes like i do (prone to skin allergies) be very careful because it leaves stains on clothes.

I blind buy this base on its popularity. It has the black opium DNA to it, if that is your thing.

I’ve reviewed this before, but it deserves another one.
This is such a beauty. The perfect blend of gourmand deliciousnouss (a fabulous interpretation of vanilla – thick, creamy, almost marshmallow-like at times…totally blows those frivolous, cotton-candy celeb fragrances out of the water). But here also is a beautiful, mellow yet somehow still intense (?!) floral in the form of dreamy heliotrope. So classy, sexy, soothing.
I had this down as a cold-weather fragrance (vanilla can be cloying in warm weather)… but NO. It was hot and humid in London today (unbelievably!) and this was so, so good. A tiny hint of citrusy freshness at first spritz, then a lusciously long, delightfulfuly floral/gourmand drydown with a very light and extremely pleasing powderiness that keeps the whole thing clean and oh so feminine.
Sillage moderate-strong, longevity is insane. Four sprays at 7.30am, still feel it’s lovely presence 12 hours later.
Do you rate YSL Cinema? This is her slightly more glamorous, less restrained sister. Cinema drinks champagne and whispers sensual words in her lover’s ear…Manifesto L’Elixir tops up that glass of fizz with a shot of brandy and takes her man to the bedroom…
    Love.

This did something magical for me today. Up until today, I’d actually hated Manifesto. But upon placing the two side by side, they worked with such harmony. I’m incredibly impressed by YSL’s efforts as a brand and genuinely hope they dont go in the same direction as some other brands. A perfect cashmeren wood scent that rivals even some of the best niche.

Smells Like the vintage high end Heliotrope scented body powder and baby products from way back when.
In summary, smells like really nice baby powder. It’s nice.
Perfect for just out of shower or when you want to feel cool. This scent of this perfüme has a very
“Cooling & Soothing” effect on me.
P.S. This Parfüme {Elixir} is difficult to find in stores. But, can be found online for roughly $80. -$135. excluding the $25. shipping charge for an 1.7 ounce bottle.

*You can purchase ARMAF Katarina Light Blüe 3.4 ounce bottle for around $20 {$16 on FragranceNet, FragranceX}.
It’s a 99% match. The only difference is Katarina Light Blüe is a bit stronger, has better siliage, Projection is beastly, but pleasant, and Longevity is unbelievably long. Twice the perfume for about one fifth of the price. Perfume doesn’t typically last too long on me. So, a pleasant surprise.
    ENJOY MY FELLOW PERFÜMISTAS!
*My way of saying thanks and paying forward all the wonderful tips from all my fellow fragranticans. Who are willing to share thier tips instead of hoarding them all to themselves.

I am very disappointed with this. It does not dry down, at all! It is overwhelmingly strong all times and gives me a headache! Although I loved it when I first sprayed it, the scent started to be unbearable the moment I bought it. It is very sad for such a good perfume!

  12. :

Its the same as Manifesto EDP for me. It’s ruddy scent of mystery and elegant!
    I don’t think that I’ll get bored.
    Floral / Sweet / Powdery / Woody.. everything…
    Everything could smell so beautiful.
    I’ve been fascinated!

My favorite in the Manifesto line and one of my all time favorite vanilla perfumes. One of the few scents that consistently and automatically makes my eyes roll back in my head thinking just “YAS!”
It’s a sweet, slightly deep vanilla with amber, I get some tonka, some powder (less powder than the original though), a hint of florals – I can’t pick out specific flowers, it’s just incredibly beautiful, imho. The bottle is really lovely too. I’d wear this to work (like 1 spray on a cold day though), on lazy weekend days (because why the hell not?), though it’s probably most appropriate for a night out on the town. It’s comforting and elegant, rich and effortless – which isn’t a vibe you find in many perfumes.
For me this is a cool weather perfume only. It has decent lasting power 5-7 hours. The first couple hours it has strong projection too (like you’ll fill an elevator and leave a scent trail everywhere you go).

This smells soooo good! Yesterday I tried this for the first time and it was definitely a love at first sniff for me! It also has decent sillage and longevity. It was a moment of joy to discover another delicious scent. There are just so many beautiful scents available, sigh…
The dry down made me think of Givenchy l’ange noir. It doesn’t smell the same, but it gave me the same vibe. Don’t know why, maybe because they both are powdery and sweet.

  15. :

    3 out of 5

This is so much better than the original Manifesto! I found it while browsing the YSL counter and thought it was such a beautiful interpretation of the original version. I get the comparisons to Dior addict with the vanilla in the base similar. It definitely is more musky than Dior addict. After the initial spray the beautiful white flowers, heliotrope with a big dose of vanilla make their mark backed by an underlying cashmere and ambergris musk. It is then that this fragrance becomes a beautiful classy vanilla. This is a quality fragrance and I could imagine wearing this on evenings out with my girlfriends.

  16. :

My all time favourite fragrance. There’s just something so elegant and classy about it, while also being sexy and sweet. I will never stop repurchasing it.

if you like vanilla and sweet fragrances and you want something for night this is it
but sometimes it’s kind of smells like berries & vanilla lotion

  18. :

    3 out of 5

This is a beautiful, powdery version of the original Manifesto. Where the original is more fruity and green, Elixir is more powdery, woody and balsamic. A lovely, cosy scent, which I think is beautiful for cold weather. It kinda reminds me of Want from Dsquared2.
    Sillage and longevity are moderate.

  19. :

I went to edit my review, and deleted it!
First blast is similar to the first spray of Alien Essence Absolue on me, minus the super heavy syrup.
After a few minutes, you have a spicy vanilla with hints of lemon cake. This passes quickly, which makes me sad, but the perfume is still beautiful.
You get a nod to Dior Addict, and a huge nod to Alien Essence Abs for the first little bit of wearing it, but it ends up being closer to Addict or the drydown of Alien Essence Abs.
The drydown of Manifesto l’Elixir is a smoky, powdery, sweet vanilla.
It stays a long time on the skin, but doesn’t project (for me) unless I spray my hair and clothes … in which case, the sillage is huge.
Lasting power is excellent, wherever you spray.

Well, it is strong, gorgeous, feminine, powerful, confident. But it has cashmere. This is the second fragrance I’ve purchased that I did not like with cashmere. I think its gorgeous and well made, but not for me.

  21. :

    3 out of 5

Manifesto L’Elixir is sexy, heavy, very sensual and feminine fragrance. Very long lasting! I would recommend it for cold days or nights. Also the bottle is gorgeous! Big love!!!

  22. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t know the original Manifesto, but L’Elixir was a blind buy and a good one.
Rich, creamy vanilla with subtle white florals, slight powderiness and a faint but sparkly citrus note in the dry down. Moderate sillage, lasts for hours.
There are shadows of Dior Addict and Kenzo Amour here, but this isn’t quite as darkly sexy as Addict or as rice pudding-cosy as Amour, and the touch of citrus in the later stages gives it unique character.
A happy addition to my grown-up vanilla collection.
EDIT: Christ, this is good stuff. Utterly in love.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

L’Elixir was a blind buy and it met all my expectations! I had tried the original Manifesto and it was more like a linear baby powder on me. I then bought L’Eclat and I just couldn’t get past the green tea note in the opening and ended up swapping it.
Since cashmere wood and vanilla are two of my favourite notes, with amber being up there too, I figured how can I go wrong with L’Elixir?
I think this one is the best one of those three. It is more complex and richer. Right at first spray I get the vanilla but mixed with a lovely citrus. The citrus eventually dissipates and it slowly transforms into a magnificent vanilla, cashmere wood, and amber sensation. Towards the end of the dry down, as it starts to slowly fade, a quiet smooth sweetness emerges. Amazing!
L’Elixir is strong so I would not wear more than one or two sprays at a time but despite being strong, I do not find it to be overwhelming, cloying, or overly sweet.

  24. :

This powdery vanilla and jasmine concoction is so strong, loud, and female, it’s the equivalent of low-cut hot pink lace. Another one I picked up in Paris. Very sexy. Projection is not great, longevity is decent.
Update: Finally broke this sucker out. I usually avoid flowers in my vanilla, so I thought this one would get little actual play in my life but I’m in love with it now. The opening is slightly unpleasant, which may be the cashmere, tuberose, or that it’s been sitting around 5 months, though that’s not remotely old for a perfume. But that fades quickly becoming a jasmine bomb with vanilla in the background, and within half an hour, it’s the opposite, vanilla with jasmine in the background. I think there was a reason I saw every French woman who walked into the cosmetic department of Printemps buy a bottle of this, it seems like a man magnet, almost Hypnotic Poison-ish, minus the almond and intense tuberose. Ordered another bottle from Notino (seriously hoping it’s legit) because you never know when the ability to get this stuff in the U.S. is going to be gone for good.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Now we’re talking YSL, the Elixir flanker is a way more substantial juice than its predecessor. Wafts a lot I must admit, it dominates in a room if sprayed and it is long lasting, either on skin or on clothes, it will have your and everybody’s nose captured.
In the beginning you have two perfumes on your wrist fighting for dominance: a strong bergamot and a stronger vanilla. Straight up edible vanilla, mouthwatering and delicious. It reminds me of the one used in Addict Dior Thierry Wasser version, (can’t speak for the others). Finally vanilla wins dominance and there you have it: a vanilla heaven for vanilla lovers.
Yes, I know, it is a run of the mill type of fragrance, not much creativity, lots of vanilla with some dashes of fruit just to cut through the density of the vanilla, but it’s a good one. Will only make the vanilla perfume lovers happy. It is yummy, it is an elixir.
Personally, I think it is in desperate need of jasmine, or gardenia, I would be extra-happy with tuberose too. See this is what I mean when I say it lacks creativity. Even that poor cashmeran is so faint, it’s barely traceable! Brands are mostly interested in creating “safe juices” so hopefully the majority will like it and buy it. Is that really the point?
Whatever, if you want a well crafted, thick, long lasting and with above average sillage vanilla, do pick Manifesto L’Elixir

    Ooooh
Iv got four frags on for trying.
This, kenzo flower elixir, givenchy l’eau en rose, and Armani diamonds.
In the back ground I have e.l.m.m Le rouge
The ysl manifique elixir is lovely, edible vanilla there’s lots around that have these elements and feel
The kenzo one is in a similar family, but has a fruit element that makes it lean between this and Armani Si EDP.
    Tha accords look right.
I detect a depth that Dior addict has, I have the older version.
This is warm, its even as opposed to edgy.

Ahhh, deliciousness in a bottle. Such rich and creamy vanilla and, strange enough since apparently it’s not often mentioned, it reminds me of Lancome’s Hypnose. Only that one seems to get rather headache-inducing after a while and if not sprayed sparingly. This one is definitely very feminine, assertive yet sweet at the same time. A really classy seductress with high standards.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

Ohhh I am getting addicted!!! I have Manifesto EDP and this one, the Elixir, is sweeter, has more vanilla and is deeper. It is a rich, mysterious, rather gourmand perfume. It is less “fresh and clean” than Manifesto EDP. If you like rich and complex vanilla, go for it. It is becoming harder and harder to find though 🙁 Longevity is very good and projection too!

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I love it. It’s really different and so sexy perfume. I spray just 3 times and it goes all day. I love vanilla and musky base notes. Strong and attractive scent.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

    Love this as well!!!!
Like the reviewer below me stated this is a more wearable Dior Addict. I have both and will enjoy both 😀

  32. :

    3 out of 5

This is a very custardy, thick and rich vanilla. To me it’s like a more feminine dior addict and doesn’t share that much similariries with the original which I love. I really love this one too. It’s amazing! I can sometimes find it a bit too over powering though which is a pity because Id it was just a little bit lighter I’d wear it a lot more but beauty is pain I guess. Its divine!

  33. :

I don’t love manifesto edp,I don’t even like it very much so you may ask why the hell did you blindbought manifesto elixir?! If you’re not looking for the basic reason which laies in that I’m a bit crazy,I’ll say look at the notes.vanilla, cashmere wood and heliotrope are dominant notes and there’s no damn blackcurrent to turn sour on.me..are you expecting me to let it go?!
Opening is pretty,I can get vanilla and cashmer in the first second, but as it settles down I can smell a wave of lovely citrus freshness entering the scent and wait a minute,it’s not lovely anymore, citruses take the responsibility of blackcurrent in edp and add a sourish undertone to scent which I dislike, but as I’m very patient when it’s about my blindbuys and am as lucky as devil,as flowers enter from the front door, sourness leaves from the back door, now I have a soft, fresh floral scent,a whisper of creamy Jasmine and tuberose and tones of darkish, woodsy vanilla and lots of powdery heliotrope, yummy florals
    Drydown is drier,warmer,less floral,more vanilla-cashmere and I like it
Manifesto l’exilir is better than manifesto edp IMO,intenser, more balanced, delicious, richer and more sophisticated, but I prefer the golden one to elixir
It’s definitely a cold weather scent, highly recommend to all vanilla lovers, especially almondy vanilla lovers(since heliotrope and casmire can read as almond for some people)Longevity and sillage are both very good and yes, while I don’t love it,I’m totally happy with my blindbuy
    ❤❤❤❤

This is my favourite vanilla scent. Yes, it is heavy on the vanilla, but it is mixed with citruses, so it is not overwhelmingly sweet. Great sillage too – I sprayed this while on a plane, as we were preparing to land, and at least five women came to me to ask what fragrance I was wearing and they all agreed that it was beautiful.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

I have a love-hate relationship with this perfume. It first comes off as a citrus, not a fresh citrus scent but rather a warm, sensual citrusy smell (if that makes sense..). 10 minutes later, it dries down to an almost overwhelming vanilla. If I smell it too much I’ll get nauseous. I like the scent as it reminds me of some good memories but I don’t find myself reaching for it very often. I bought a full bottle in August 2015.. It is May 2016 and 3/4th of the perfume is still left in the bottle. Maybe it’ll grow on me but right now I don’t feel like reaching for it very often.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

When you first spray this you get a blast of citrus and vanilla. As the perfume develops, you get a rich, luxurious vanilla and the citrus fades to a whisper. This perfume performs wonderfully with incredible longevity and sillage. This one has also received compliments from my boss and a stranger on the bus. The latter even asked if he could have the name of the perfume so he could buy it for his girlfriend. With this one it was love at first sniff and I purchsed it on a whim at World Duty Free at Gatwick Airport in London (I was just trying to get rid of the last of my British pounds before boarding the plane back to the U.S.). I don’t think this perfume is available in the U.S. as I haven’t seen it in any of the shops here.
Side Note: When I started using an orange scented wood polisher at work the smell of this perfume and the cleaning product mixed and it brought out this really orangey smelling aspect of the perfume that I didn’t like. It actually became more prominent to me than the delicious vanilla. However this aversion/association only lasted a bit and I’ve now re-aquired my love for this perfume.

  40. :

Strong vanilla with a little tropical citrus in the opening. Sweet but not sickly so, this is a great “grown up” sort of vanilla scent. Has a very classical feel to it, deep and a little mysterious or exotic. It didn’t last too long on me which was the only drawback.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

This is one of the best perfumes out there. I would wear it when it’s winter…

  42. :

    4 out of 5

This one is just…amazing. It is a better version of the initial Manifesto, but it’s deeper and longer lasting. It’s perfect for the winter, I find it too strong to wear it during the summer, but I guess it works also for the cold autumn nights. I got lots of compliments from men and women when I had this one on my skin and it blends well with my personality. It is sexy in a mature way, not the young-playful kind of way, but something more like “I am a woman with a strong personality and I am not here to play childish games”. Even if it may seem to strong at the beginning, after one hour it’s starting to smell softer but it’s not losing the strenght of the notes, it’s only getting deeper and like an invite to a conversation about serious things. I advice not to wear this with your sneakers and a sweater, it works at it’s best when the clothes are also serious – maybe a pencil skirt with stilettos or a little black dress.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

This is really good, sweet and warm fragance. It has an intense smel and nothing i have smelled before can compare to this one. It is sweet but a mature kind of sweetness. I love it.

Manifesto l’Elixir is a divine, powdery vanilla. It doesn’t have the fruitiness of the original Manifesto instead this is creamy, slightly Smokey, slightly bitter and oh so comforting! Reminds me of a warming cup of latte when it is raining outside. True ladylike elegance. And this stuff is strong! One spray is more than enough to smell scrumptious for hours at end. Love it!

  47. :

Is this one discontinued??? Does anyone know?

  48. :

The first opening reminds me EA 5th Avenue Nights, which I already have at home. Manifesto has better sillage and very nice and strong woody undertone, which makes kind of expensive “elixir” of it. I´ve compared it with EDT Manifesto as well and I find this much better, more feminine. Very well blended and maybe my next must have. Can´t stop sniffing it…

I have been wanting to try this for the longest so thank you lybarra118 for the sample. I loved the intense beast of an opening but then it faded down pretty quickly to something much more vanilla. I could barely make out the heliotrope and wood in the drydown, it was actually amazing how it faded so quickly. The drydown, which like liked (but not loved like the opening) remineded me of another frag I am always talking about, Aquolina Gold Sugar. I wish they could extend that monster opening, I would buy a dozen bottles.

  51. :

Ok, so my mom bought this for herself and I really had no patience to try and compare it to the original Manifesto. As i see the comments, i will definitely join you guys about the mass opinion. This is undoubtedly the better Manifesto. It’s improved, softer and sweeter. I really loved the first of the line, but after i smelled this one – the other one just started fading away. And even began thinking on what actually did I adore about it…there were notes that made my head ache at times. L’Elixir is way more generous about it. At first you really think “it’s just the same”, but meanwhile you come to a realization it’s not quite like that. I’m putting Manifesto out of the chart and replacing it with his “cousin” 🙂

MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! This is pure vanilla in a bottle! So yummy and gorgeous! The lasting power is amazing too! The only downside is that it is very rare here in Australia.

NIce, strong vanilla scent. Vanilla is very edible in it.
Woody notes are also sensible. I think this is a great one for winter. Reminds me of Christmas and chai latte.
Very feminine, sophisticated and expensive smelling.
    And what a pretty-pretty bottle!
    Charming, sexy and simply delicious.

i was so happy to receive this incredible perfume, it is definitely one of the best i have ever smelled. I may not be very familiar to high class perfumes but of those i have smelled, i find this one to be one of the sexiest and alluring. Also, i haven’t heard any person say otherwise.
I definitely think it’s worth the money.

I hope and PRAY this baby comes to the United States!
As I’ve stated in the original EDP, YSL’s Manifesto is the love of my life. I used up a 3.0 oz bottle in 3 months! I haven’t ever done that with a fragrance before. It’s a vanilla teenage dream with just a hit of sweet black currant. There’s also a twang of citrus that lingers above the Vanilla.
The L’Elixir is the same scent but the vanilla is amped up and the citrus is now doing more than lingering above the Vanilla ecstasy. It has gotten down off of it’s cloud and they’re rolling around in the hay together. Tuberose peeks outside its door to see what all of the commotion is but that’s it. You notice it there but it’s kept on a very strict leash, thank GOODNESS! The tonka bean even comes out to join in on the festivities. This is just a magical fragrances that lasts about 8 hours. After that it stays close to the skin. I was smelling my wrists all day. PLEASE let me get a hold of a big bottle of this! I have to have this in my life!
Also, Jessica Chastain looks BEAUTIFUL in the ads! She’s one of my new favorites 🙂

I don’ t know why, but to my nose this is an oriental for summer nights, but you can certainly wear it on winter too. But, for some reason, although it is sweet fragrance, i get a whiff of suntan lotion, not like the “Estee lauder” fragrance, just a whiff. When I wear it, i think of the sea and the sand. It has great longevity and sillage, this one, not the regular one and I will wear it a lot on my vacation. For someone WHO dislikes citrucy scents, I think this one is very compatible for an oriental girl WHO does not want to suffocate the others with too much sandalwood or arabic notes or cinnamon etc. Just the right components. Great work, after a long time, YSL!

Lately, I take my time to choose a perfume. Since I love wearing another one every time, it has happened that I got a fragrance too hastily, figuring out soon enought that I didn’t actually like it so much. So, lately I do my research, sniff this, sniff that, and buy it only when it’s love at first sniff.
I love them long lasting and heavy. I’m a fan of Yves Saint Laurent, ever since I had to have Nu, years ago.
This time, I was clueless againg, trying out many perfumes. Wasn’t too sure about any and then BANG!
YSL Manifesto l’Elixir Intense. They made another one for me! 🙂
On me, it’s just like it says:
“opening with sour citrus blend of bergamot and mandarin. The combination of Arabian Sambac jasmine, heliotrope and tuberose absolute in the heart leads to the warm base of cashmere, vanilla and ambergris (ambroxan).”
I’d add: sexy, ladylike, feminine, elegant.
Plus, I love Jessica Chastain and think it’s a dream match.

Not my cup of tea. Smells very synthetic on me, but I can see it being nice on someone with the right chemistry. If Alien does well on you, you’ll love this!I’ll stick to my loverdose tattoo.

I want this!!!! I am writing this review without reading the reviews below so that im not biased,
Yest i tried Manifesto edp and loved it. It lasted all day with sillage close to the skin but very aluring.
Then today i thought lets test again and thats when i spotted the elixir! Wow this is an intense version of the edp and im craving for more.
I have elixir on left arm and edp on right. The elixir is more feminine and full bodied compared to the edp – which i thought was amazing when i tested it yest. There appears to be more vanilla in the elixir (the vanilla reminds me strongly of my body shop vanilla oil- the floral one not vintage). The edp on the otherhand is less vanilla and had a masculine touch.
So if you like sweet fragrances elixir is the one and for less sweet scent edp is great. Though skin chemistry varies and its worth testing by doing a side by side comparison.
This reminds me along the lines of Dior Addict and ELs Sensuous Noir.

Love, love, LOVE this perfume. The l’Elixir lasts a good 8 hours on my skin with decent sillage, whereas the original dries down to a barely noticeable skin scent within 1 hour on my skin. I’ve had the l’Elixir for 6 months already, and it’s my go-to everyday scent. It’s sexy without being over-the-top. I get compliments whenever I wear it. I really hope YSL doesn’t stop making this version because it’s TDF!!

Truly a top quality scent. I can see why people are reminded of Dior Addict with this one.
The Vanilla is indeed similar and as I find Addict difficult to wear, Its a huge bonus for me.
The first blast gives a feeling of opulence and refinement, a lady with charisma and poise.
There is a freshness from the mandarin which awakens you and prepares you for what is to come.
As it settles the richness from the florals blended with the pure vanilla screams class! Then the seduction begins to take over, before you know it you are captivated and drawn in by the deep sensual aroma of the subtle yet prominent sweet and woody notes!
The original is much fresher and a little masculine in my opinion, its says – professional, strong minded woman.
Whereas this Elixir – I much prefer. It says this woman is bold, yet sits silently watching and listening, reading everyone, until she is ready to reveal a slice of herself.
You are already captivated before you have even spoken to her, you are under her spell and she leaves you forever wanting more….

A while back I tried this one and the original. Then, I got the original cos I preferred the middle notes. Now I tried this one again, and I have to say it has grown on me. At first I get sweet peppery notes, the middle has a flowery note that the original doesn’t,and the drydown is more dirty sexy vanilla than the first. The drydown reminds me of Dior Addict, same type of vanilla. I would say the staying power on me is moderate. Sillage is better. Lovely scent.

This is quite expensive (cost me £73 in Boots and was the last bottle!) but a little goes a long way. I have only tested the regular Manifesto and, although it was pleasant, it was nothing special really and I thought it was quite overpriced for what it is. However, this one is something else – lush, rich and simply glorious! I keep getting wafts of it hours after I have applied it so, although expensive, I think it’s somewhat justified for the lasting power. For me, this one is very special and I love it!

I absolutely love this <3 much better than the original which was nice but lacked the wow factor. It reminds me of a softer Dior Addict, I find it intoxicating with great staying power and lovely warm vanilla. It also comes in a beautiful bottle,.

On me, this smells very simple, just loud, very sweet vanilla and nothing else. The scent is strong and has a good staying power and for those who really like sweet and vanilla will probably love this. For me, this is just too sweet, almost made me feel sick.

I’m a bit on and off with this frag. I think it is wonderful and more interesting than many others I’ve tried out lately. Yet there is something that makes me hesitant to buy it, even though I’m smelling
