I looked it up and in Arabic Manal is a woman’s name meaning “success”. What also showed up on the internet is that it means “sand” in Tamil.
This is how I experience saffron forward fragrances. The saffron has a sharp, earthy, floral fragrance kind of like sand. Not unpleasant, but I always experience that sharp opening.
Saffron – rose – wood – musk is my experience. This is a beautiful fragrance.
I just got this so I’m not sure how long it’ll last on my skin. It seemed to fade rather quickly on my first wearing so I’m giving it a second go. Even if it’s not long lasting it’s a really beautiful scent and the price is right.
Oh, and yes, guys can totally wear this.
P.S. As I’m writing this review the perfume is changing into a gorgeous floral/wood. I will be wearing this again.

Excellent high quality perfume to add to their collection of oriental perfume.

Oh my, this is so wonderful! I’m totally new to Arabic perfumes/attars, so I can only give a very crude impression of this lovely tincture and how it behaves on my skin:
Saffron. Lots and lots of saffron. And this is exactly, 100%, what I was looking for when I blind bought this gem! Its mysterious, deep spiciness is for me the most prominent note and doesn’t disappear in the dry down (thank god). I’m not a great master of identifying individual notes usually, but here I get a beautiful rose, some jasmin (but not too much), woods, and a hint of bergamot.
Let me tell you, this is a masterpiece! Oh, and while this is branded as a feminine perfume (and I’m a woman who loves it), I think it’d be absolutely gorgeous on the right man. For me this is definitely unisex, the spice from the saffron and the wooden notes would make it quite sexy on a guy, may I say. 😉

Another one gem from Rasasi who seem hell bent on overtaking my entire wardrobe! Deservedly! This one is a heaven of sweet, spicy saffron, woods and enough carnality emanating from musk and jasmine. The spice here is strong but not sneeze inducing and pairs beautifully with the fresh and musky notes. The fresh notes here have a mellowness thanks to the strong woody notes and rose which has a backstage. It is meant for Women but its truly unisex, any man can pull this off easily which is another reason I love Arabic oils as they seem to cross gender easily. Fully recommend.
