i have not commented for a long time, just went to the asaq boutique in kuala lumpur , the salesperson has been pushing makkah blend to me since the stock has arrived.
hesitantly , try it on, went back , i was quiet surprise about the perfume, the first hour you smell a traditional arabic style perfume of ambery oud, roses, saffron and musk, but as the perfume develops in second hours it evolves into soapy smell of spices and flowers soft yet comforting like the olden days perfume, refreshing and clean, it lingers a full 24 hours, the oriental smell come and goes, i went out to have time out with my friends they ask me, what perfume i wear, they were surprise when i told them that is an oriental based perfume.
it is just perfect for me, went back and bought a few, with the affordable price tag and the quality i would definitely would rank them with those of high end niche oriental type perfume quality but with a middle and lower range price tag , the scent is universally acceptable to all ranges of people loud but yet non offensive(after an hour on mys skin with tropical humid climate), the scent of soapy clean and comforting is protruded to surrounding areas and bring pleasures to the surrounding areas (btw i am using thin six swipes of it on my skin )

The opening of the oil version is 80% similar, I think, to Al Faransi’s “Istanbul,” which I love!
Mostly saffron and flowers. I think this one is soapier florals, stays mostly floral throughout, shorter lived, and less natural smelling than Istanbul, but still good. I love both, and having both means I have a longer supply of these kinds of smells.
The soapy yet exotic and nice florals in this one remind me a lot of Nabeel/Touch Me by Nabeel, which I also LOVE!

Makkah Blend by ASQ is a Floral Woody Musky with Oud, Flowers & Herbs, Oud & Musk notes added to enhance its depth and complexity.
Makkah blend comes in Perfume Oil & EDP Spray Format. Oil is more like Traditional Attar whereas Spray is more strong & long lasting. i think some more ingredients or notes are added to it. It is one of the best Mukhallats made by ASQ. Have both Perfume Oil & Spray & love both of them. My Rating is 4.00 out of 5.
Projection & Longevity is Excellent, Similarly Presentation is Top Class as in most cases of ASQ Perfumes. Its one of my Favorite Scent.
My Rating are 4.5 out of 5

Abdul Samad Al Qurashi’s aim has always been to provide a variety for each one’s taste and axiom instincts, thus the Makkah Blend was created, by the mixture of wild flowers, Indian agarwood and deer musk, with the touch of the soft western aroma, for your imagination to travel far beyond this world, taking you to your own kingdom.

A floral woody scent. It is smooth, slightly creamy and sweet, but definately floral. Has a calming effect. Imagine a Florist shop right in the middle of a lumber yard. That is what this smells like to me.
It’s a unisex fragrance since i dont detect any Agarwood in this composition. I guess the oud here does not refer to agarwood, but just wood (woody notes maybe).
A good casual fragrance!
Also love the bottle. The best i have in oil fragrances.

If you are looking for a perfect balance between the price, quality, appearance, strenth and joy then this is it.
This blend will give you all of that. Don’t expect too much but surely you will experience something new and pleasant.
Despite the classical ingredients used this blend is very far from typical Arabian mukhallats. Here you got green, floral, wild jungle type of scent. Very smooth and light, yet very well pronounced. Oud in this blend is PRESENT but its not like you may expect. Oud here is like a wild, white flover, I would say it is of cambodi or thai origin, very floral and exotic. Some of the notes are: green, jasmin tea, floral musk, geen oud, green amber, green rose and wild white flowers=)
