The word ” Attar “comes from the Urdu language and means” Fragrance Divine “, a definition which stresses the power of the magician in his wake. Formerly took the name of “Ittar” which in Arabic means “Heavenly Fragrance”.
According to legend, the birth of ‘ Attar is due to an accidental event. One day, the Persian Queen Nour-Dijhan, walking among the streams of the imperial garden, he noticed a veil fat floating on the water at the point where they drop thousands of roses. After collecting a few drops of that liquid gold with a peacock feather and it smelled, the queen was enchanted by what he called heavenly scent. Because of the sharp fall had been a natural process of distillation, which had brought to the surface the essence of the rose and gave birth to the first Attar of Rose. L ‘ Attar is completely free of alcohol and comes in an oily substance made by the soul alone, and only smelling extracted from natural raw materials, according to ancient procedures for processing.
Oriental Roses distilled with love and diluted in a magic potion where passionate and poetic essences are dissolved. Majan, from the ancient name of Oman, is built around the Damask Rose, as precious as rare and rich of warm and gentle tones. Its petals are picked before sunrise when the aroma of the flower is dreamy and shimmering with stars. In the top notes sugary and soft tones emerge given from Vanilla and White Musk surrounding the accord set in the heart of the attar with Vetiver and Musk. Its pleasure lasts indefinitely thanks to a final trail of voluptuous amber and sandalwood.

I love this attar. Very floral, yet still 100% unisex – a creamy, but sharp, rose/musk concoction. Projection-wise it surpasses many others by this house, A safe blind-buy, but then, what Amouage isn’t.. There isn’t a single piece I truly dislike.

i get a creamy sandalwood base (more on that in a tick) with dense rose and a candy-musk, quite nice! it’s a little too floral for me, though. not enough of a bitter/woodsy smokey element there for me. but definitely worth a try IF you can ever find it…
the sandalwood is obviously fake, but it’s an aromachemical called ‘sandalore’. a while ago, i went on an sandalwood binge (all aromachemicals) and i came across this one. it’s dry, spicy and creamy, and smells genuine ONLY in a mix. on its own it comes across as chemically and not real. when in a mix it is SOOO much nicer and genuinely smells real.
you can get this on ebay for around $320 US which is quite a bit for 12 mls, but it could be EXACTLY what you need. like, less than 1/10 of a ml lasts you all day…

Simply beautiful stuff. I was surprised by how fragrant it got on me with a drop or two. The nuttiness at the forefront threw me off as I smelled that more in the bottle than on skin. On skin, I got a beautiful, delicate rose, warm sensual musk, and the most amazing sandalwood. I get a bit of a boozy note. well, almost a beer note but its not unpleasant at all. Since you would use so little I can see this blooming more on hotter days than cooler ones.

A very simple and straightforward attar: pure ambergris on a nutty, mysore sandalwood base. Last a really, really long time (12+ hours) but extremely low sillage after the first 2.
