This is fabulous stuff. I bought the smaller bottle because Caswell Massey has so few stores anymore I couldn’t smell it before buying. It was so good I already bought a second small bottle. (Ok, they had an online sale.)
Yes, they’re marketing this as a man’s fragrance, and it’s definitely masculine. But I’m a 70+ year old woman and I love wearing it. If you’re used to Tom Ford fragrances and strong oud fragrances, this won’t bother you. It’s really not as strong as they are. The violet is definitely there, not at all cloying, and the cedar and the oakmoss are not overpowering. Caswell Massey usually does better with masculine fragrances, and LX48 I think is their best in a long time.
