Smells like Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum got mixed with Tom Ford Soleil Blanc EDP. Nice!
Olegarh_74 – :
Old school suntan lotion (the oil-based type that came in dark brown bottles. there were several manufacturers). That, along with salt… and great projection. I like it. Not an everyday fragrance for me, but perfect for certain occasions.

Got my sticky hands on a sample of this and YEP, the rumors are true… it smells a lot like Rocher Monoi de Tahiti.
Rocher is a bit funkier, a bit sweeter. A little heavier.
Kilian: A bit lighter, a bit more delicate and airy, with a vibe behind it that is slightly soapy-breezy. That said: they’re similar enough that I don’t need both.
My wallet breathes a sigh of relief as it creaks shut.

Agree with the review from Potent_Potion – to me, it’s got a very musky opening. It smelled like Nivea cream on me for the first 30 mins – yuck. Afterwards, it became more creamy and coconutty and I was able to smell the monoi flower. Overall, not mixing well with my body chemistry. I was hoping for “a day in Hawaii” and I got a plain ol’ face cream.

Definiately feminine. First spray, and I got aldehydes. Idk why, but that reminds me of Chanel No. 5 Sensual. Then it changes and smells TOTALLY like sunscreen on my skin. The good kind of sunscreen, Hawaiian Tropic I guess. Changes again, and good old tiare flower comes to my nose. Bad thing, I don’t like that tiare. The drydown is half sunscreen-half tiare smell, kind of exciting and good, but do not worth the price.

Tried this at Saks on Mother’s Day Weekend, and fell in love. I have a lifetime passion for monoi de tiare, and this hits me right in the FBW region. It is very similar to Yves Rocher but there is a high quality coconutty roundness to the Killian. Projection was decent as wa staying lower, about 4 hours. I would have liked to see it last longer for the money. It’s on my full bottle list however, because i cannot resist a tropical beach scent, partially because i live in the land of endless sunshine and this genre works for me nearly all year long.

I love this tropical beachy scent for Summer. As a man, it dries down beautifully on me. Sort of a coconut/monoi/floral vibe but lovely for a man if worn lightly. I received a sample and wore it for a few days. I then remembered Yves Roches Monoi De Tahiti EDT. I purchased the Yves Roches Monoi De Tahiti EDT and wore it on one wrist one evening and the Kilian Monoi scent on my other wrist. The scents are VERY similar in theme but different at the same time. Both lovely. Both beachy. Both floral/coconut/monoi-vibes. The Kilian is better quality most likely but I actually like the gentle warm sugar/monoi dry down of the Yves Roches better. Both are lovely for summer and if you like a more floral/clean/monoi-vibe, go with Kilian. If you like a warmer/sweeter/Monoi-vibe, go with Yves Roches. Both are fantastic beach scents inspired by that lovely coconuty/monoi sunscreen scent from decades past. Pure nostalgia done very well. Yves Roches is around $30 a bottle for those on a budget whereas Kilian is around $275… you can’t go wrong with either one imo. They both smell fantastic after the drydown

Lovely tropical monoi scent. I recall Booth’s had a body crème with tiare flower in it but it is now discontinued. This is a great summer fragrance, but I am guessing you could get the same effect for less than $250….I’m really enjoying it and it has put me in a better head space but I don’t know that it is so special as to warrant that price. If money is no object and you dig “beach vibe” fragrances….go for it! You won’t be disappointed. Sillage is medium on me and so far at 5+ hours since spraying, it is still present.
med2891 – :
A simple monoi fragrance, not worth 250$. Try Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse instead, or Yves Rocher Monoi de Tahiti!
WALDEMAR-10 – :
Creamy, dreamy monoi, tiare, coconut blend! Softer and smoother than Intense Tiare.

Sun tan lotion! Through and through. Surprisingly, a people pleaser, and it does evoke a summer breeze to others. However, to my nose, it’s a masterfully done scent of sun screen.

So I’ve been wearing this for a couple of days now and I love it. To me this is vacation in a bottle. Here are my first thoughts on this new scent as a 30 year old male.
So to the smell. First spray is a floral, clean and a little soapy punch to the face. The fresh florals are really the big player here. As it settles(1hr) it slowly becomes sweeter as the vanilla comes through. The coconut comes in whiffs but is never prominent. It does stay fresh and never becomes overly sweet on account of the florals. I do get a lotiony vibe from this but to me that is not a bad thing, it just enhances that fresh/clean feeling.
It settles from heavy to moderate sillage at about 2hrs. After 8hrs it becomes a skin scent. This is definetly one where you need some trigger control as anything more than 3 sprays can be a little overwhelming.
This is the more feminine of the two new Miami Vice releases and I would not call it 100% unisex, but if you are a man that enjoys big florals or just want something different(read really out there) then check this one out for sure. On women this scent is amazing period. With that said, this is NOT a discreet scent on a man and it will get you noticed! It garners compliments and I have been asked by people what I am wearing during 3 days of testing. I’ve been told i smell fresh, like a vacation and that i smell like happiness. To me it’s a classy tropical scent, no teenyvibes at all.
To me this works to instantly brighten a spring day but it will really shine in the summer. Good for a summer day, perfect for that summer evening/night. To me this scent is the afterglow of a day at the beach, it’s that linen shirt/sarong drinks in the sunset, it’s the toes in the sand luʻau.
For a man is NOT a blind buy in my book unless you are a big fan of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc but find it a bit boring and safe.
For the ladies it’s another story. Taking into account the sun tan lotion vibe I would definetly recommend this for the summer.
It’s fresh, floral, tropical and a solid release.

I just seen this on the by Kilian website!!! It is finally there! I hope I can get this soon.
Oh, also at Bergdorf Goodman as well.
kseniya200011 – :
I need this in my life. Can’t see that it has released in the US.
Finally listed on By Kilian website and select US retailers….and alas, I have purchased and it is MINE!
Gorgeous scent. Tropical floral beauty. It is more on floral side of a monoi scent (tiare flowers soaked in coconut oil). Beachy, tiare, ylang-ylang, coconut. …it’s all there. refined beautifully done.
note: I contacted By Kilian – The Miami Vice collection are limited editions only being sold in the bottle, no plans for releasing a refill size for the bottle (that is a refillable bottle).

Does anyone know where to find this in the US??? I have even looked on Kilian’s website and it is not there.
