Shockingly green, aquatic accord, as if I’d rubbed the pulp of a lotus stem and roots across my wrist. I can see where this could be interpreted as pine, though it remains firmly wet and vegetal for me. There’s nothing dry about it on my skin. I’m glad I came into a bottle for next to nothing. I enjoy it, maybe because it was so inexpensive! I can see myself wearing this in the heat of summer; not because it will cool me, but more as a sort of truce with the hot humidity. It reminds me of a searing, unrelenting, wet, heated day next to a near stagnant pond teaming with life in some an exotic locale. Not unpleasant, but not something I’d want to smell everyday. It’s stayed with me for more than 2 hours without changing. I didn’t try it on my clothes, skin only. Worth a try for those unencumbered with convention.

This is a beautiful, warm fragrance. Treated myself to it as a fall scent. It last much longer sprayed on clothes, although I think this is typical of Tokyo Milk. I sprayed it on a winter coat and it smells divine after a full day.

Such an unusual combination–but this works for me. I could not stop sniffing my wrist all evening. Lovely, classy, elegant lotus without being ‘boozy’. Not animalic at all on my skin, stayed true through the night.

I love lotus accords so I had high hopes for this one, but I’m afraid it ended up being a scrubber on me as it was making me feel nauseated.
I catch a faint whiff of lotus, but it’s surrounded by the most incredibly synthetic smell. I’m not sure how to describe it. Kind of like Fairy Liquid meets old pennies.
Maybe it’s unfair of me to even write this because I only kept it on for an hour, so I have no idea how it develops after that. But to be honest, even if it developed into the most beautiful scent in the world, it wouldn’t be worth that first hour to me.

Now I don’t know why this should be…. but I have the solid perfume version of this and it’s absolutely delightful. Sharp, floral, fresh, green, like tinkerbell has just shot by and left a trail of woofle dust (magic sprinkles). My only complaint? It dried out despite being tightly closed and re-boxed and kept in a cool place. I tried the spray. Yuk. How can it smell so different? And unpleasant? A similar situation arose with French Kiss. The soap is lovely. The perfume is a semi digested barf bag of Yuzu. I find the inconsistencies distressing and therefore, tend to mistrust the entire range. Sad, but true.

Scrubber! Starts out okay but then turns sour and unpleasant.
Yes, it does smell like cat pee.

The first time I tried it I hated it immediately, now a couple days later I sprayed again and it’s not as bad as I first thought. it’s a green fresh fragrance with a hint of warmth and almost a touch of subtle spice if I smell really hard. I can’t smell pine, or not yucky pine anyway. It’s a nice clean fresh subtle green frag, but not really my style. I’ll happily finish my sample though.
Uh-oh, my male colleague just came downstairs to say “did you just spray a new perfume? it smells like cat pee”……

I was intrigued in doing blind buy on this one as I envisioned it to evoke sipping plum sake near a koi pond but instead I got Christmas. Definitely one of the stronger fragrances in the Tokyo Milk line I own as I could smell it for hours without out even trying and gave me a bit of a headache. I tried to give it to my sister but it ended up with my mom. They both pointed out the pine note before me even mentioning it. Totally in love with Honey & the Moon though, I haven’t found anyone who doesn’t like it! Let Them Eat Cake is also nice for a layering as its a simplistic light fragrance.
