Description

“L’Homme Cologne Cedrat: the very essence of escape. A fragrance for men, full of character, the L’Homme Cologne Cedrat Eau de Toilette is the essence of escape, of an endless horizon. Mingling the absolute freshness of sea spray with zesty cedrat, this blend of vibrant, aquatic and citrus notes is set over an intriguing base of woody spices.

Refreshing, masculine and full of character, L’Homme Cologne Cedrat blends citrus notes of cedrat with icy notes of mint and cold spices. Head notes of cedrat peel and frosted mint refresh the hot air of Provence. This fresh, aquatic accord continues into the heart notes, then gives way to a lingering, masculine scent of violet leaf and lavender. Black pepper, pink peppercorn and ginger give a spicy touch to this accord. Finally, deep, woody notes of cedar, amber and musk soften the strong personality of this fragrance. An essential oil of cedrat from Corsica enhances this fragrance with its zesty notes.”

“For me, the L’Homme Cologne Cedrat man is someone who exudes positivity, who is natural, impulsive and instinctive, just like the radiant and bracing freshness of this fragrance. I love to escape to the Mediterranean and explore new horizons. I love the balmy climate and the relaxed pace of life there.” Julie Massé

The fragrance is available in 75ml Eau de Toilette flacons. L’Homme Cologne Cedrat was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Julie Masse.

They happened to have a tester of this out in the mall and figured what the hell. The only note I really pick up is the citron. Otherwise it’s a milder Sauvage. Dunno, not a bit of cedar, pepper or other note. Just ambroxan to my sniffer.

This is a very safe woody masculine fragrance. Suitable for casual wear, nothing spectacular here. I like how the citrus blends with the cedar and the spices but the performance is pretty modest.
    6/10

Wore this one again in the cold weather. And everything that I love about the opening, hung around for hours. And the blend was smoother and more harmonious. Which was interesting because it has a beautiful Spring/summer vibe. But I’m back to loving this one to go fresh on a cooler day. The opening is too volatile on my skin in hot weather. The Cedrat note is key to the overall effect of this one. It’s also a good scent for cold rainy days. This is how it works well for me anyway. Which I’m happy about because I do love it.

Really really pleasant! I mean really pleasant smelling frag 🙂 So gentle, smooth and fresh. I dont agree that this is similar to Dior Homme Sport, not at all. This is a totally different creation. Also much better IMO. The best part is that you could pull this off even in the Winter, even if this probably is a “summerfrag”. Highly recommended!

After giving this a good ride I am pleasantly surprised!
Though I struggled picking out individual notes, the aquatic, peppery citrus vibe is clear and present throughout. The minty citrus opening is absolutely lovely. All of this is centered around a “zesty cedar” vibe.
In the very same vein as Dior Homme Sport, Versace Pour Homme, Chanel Allure Homme Sport, etc.
Great addition for the summer months!
Longevity of about 7 hours, projecting for 2.5 hours.

It’s like Churchill whispering, “vermouth…”. The appearance of a beautiful summer scent is there but the substance is missing, or fleeting, at best. It sparkles like a diamond on initial spray but fades into the ether almost as quickly. I’ll check in again on this one because the framework is all there, but it needs the shiplap, wide-planked pine boards and farmhouse sink to bring it to life.

    Upon further review:
This is still a joyful/sexual/sensual/passionate fragrance to me.
But the performance is such that the salty ocean air/ cedratic/ violet leaf combo that makes the scent so scintillating goes away in 1 hour or so and even though I love the cedary/amber/musk dry down it becomes a skin scent after the second hour. And is gone on my skin after 3 – 4 hours.
But my skin drinks certain scents like this one and I still love it.
I wear this when I’m going to yoga or the park or meet with friends for a drink on a sunny day.
It would be a lovely work scent if it performed better. It breaks down like this for me:
    Scent: 8.75/10
    Flexibility: 9/10
    Sillage: 7/10
    Longevity: 2/10
So that, I’m sad about it in the end. It was a near perfect spring/summer scent that just goes away to fast on my skin.
I recommend you try this and the house. If you get even just a notch more performance then it’s a bottle worthy purchase given the price.

Wow…. just… wow.. I fell in love with this fragrance in the past 2 days. Spring is around the corner and I have been trying to beef up my Spring/summer collection. Recently bought Voyage d’Hermes.
But this one… just blew me away. It’s so descriptively masculine, cedratic, and oceanic. It’s absolutely amazing.
Julie Masse just knocked this out of the park. This is an inspiring, mood-brightening, energetic, and masculine gem tucked away in a bath/body boutique that probably will more than likely reach male consumers via their soap and lotion buying partners than anything else.
Which is fine… because this is a proud moment in fragrance collecting for me. I didn’t read a review first. Or listen to one of my favorite you tube reviewers and then go look for something. I just wandered into the store, because I pass it on the street everyday, and followed my own nose… right to this lovely fresh, sensual-journey agent.
And wow… I’m buying this full bottle and the shower gel this payday, will use it for a few weeks and come give a full review. But… just couldn’t wait until then, to brag on here, about how I found this fragrance on my own, ahead of any or despite lack of hype. Hahaha. Nice!

This was a great pickup for me. Randomly walked into L’Occitane after a quick workout and it smelled great on me, perhaps it was the sweat/salt/mediterranean/water combo notes thats just great for daytime or office wear.
This really, really reminds me of dior homme sport but with only subtle differences. A stranger probably wouldnt be able to tell the difference. This l’occitane is more natural smelling and less disjointed than DHS. The lavender also shows up more on the drydown, where i believe the iris is prominent on the drydown for DHS.
All in all an excellent citrus/lavender combo and IMO a notch better than its dior homme sport cousin.

I always liked Cedrat, as an ok citric occitane scent to use casualy or at work one day or another. This one is different, less citric, less natural, more smooth and something put me thinkng about Dior Sport as a matter of style. But the scent I remembered most was Natura Kaiak Extremo, and even the silver bottle brings me to that. Anyway, this one should feel as a better scent, but tires my nose rather quickly, in contrast to the original Cedrat, which, one must admit, has nothing of spetacular.

The original Cedrat did absolutely nothing for me, but this is much better. It’s a really lovely citrus aquatic with prominent salty sea water notes and hints of mint and warm pepper. It gets woodier in the drydown and projects quite effectively for around 7-8 hours. It works well now (in November) but should really shine in warmer weather. It’s classy, perfect for any occasion, and would work equally with a business suit or as a refreshing post-gym cologne.
