Description

Montblanc announces Legend Spirit for 2016 as a new version of the original Legend from 2011 with the slogan “Follow Your Spirit.” The original fragrance symbolizes timeless elegance and classicism; Legend Intense from 2013 is its night version; and the new edition is announced as the ultimate timeless and cool scent.

Its aromatic – woody composition begins with a vibrant and refreshing blend of bergamot, pink pepper and grapefruit. A cool aquatic accord rules the heart which is mixed with aromatic tones of lavender and cardamom. The base ends with trendy blonde woods, cashmere, white musk and oak moss.

It is available in white bottle as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette with an accompanying collection.

Oh my God. What a beautiful fragrance. What I get at the beginning is Lacoste White. In a minute or two you can realize some depth. As time goes by you will smell what a modern fragrance smells like these days. Acqua di Gio Absolu, Jimmy Choo man, you name it, but it’s definately has its own uniqueness. Come on it’s Mont Blanc, always got something to say among modern designer fragrances. I love it. Hope you do too.

I’ve owned this now for six months and it just gets better & better. I read a comment that this sometimes has a banana vibe, particularly in the opening, yes, I get that sometimes too.
It’s a gem hidden in plain view, it could only be improved if it lasted a bit longer – Montblanc please do an EDP of Spirit or at least never discontinue it as you did with the Intense flanker!
I’ve ever been one for back-up bottles (always like to try something new) but I may well get another Spirit, love it.

Love the Opening & then the Drydown !! The ladies love this scent. Most complimented and I have more expensive stuff. Great for Summer !!
    8.5/ 10

nice scent, aquatic, fresh, intense. very good projection and longevity, very good price.
a little bit generic because there are many other scent similars (invictus, invictus aqua, many bath gel or deodorant etc.) but at this price is a steal.
i sold it because i think is more youthful (i am 38) and i do not feel it mine, but is good
    7/10

The opening is REALLY GOOD, it is fresh and clean. The drydown is not what I expected, it completely loses that fresh minty vibe. I will give the opening a 9/10 and the drydown a 7/10

To me this smells just like Boss Bottled Unlimited in the opening. Both are very good fragrances. This has a nice citrusy fruity spiritual smoothness! I really enjoy this and all Mont Blanc fragrances. I give this a 9.5/10

it is good but not a love… in terms of longevity is moderate.. a safe scent but performance suks!

I don’t get anything that smells like Invictus Aqua at all. I smell a 1970s barber shop. Same thing as JV Artisan Pure, that type of scent.

    Received a 15ml decant today.
I put it on my wrist and it immediately reminded me of John Varvatos Artisan Pure. It smells great. Fresh and clean smell like being on vacation.
As good as Legend Spirit smells, I get an old manny vibe. This smells like someones grand dad or a bunch of well-to-do retirees hanging out on the golf course shootin the breeze between puts.
I would wear this, but not on a date (unless it’s with a hot looking older woman). I’d wear this in the daytime spring and Fall. Maybe on a summer day if it wasn’t sweltering hot.
I want to try the other Legends,

As per the Cambridge English Dictionary, “Spirit” may stand for ” a particular way of feeling”.
The Legend Spirit aims at giving you a cheerful mood, and refresh your senses in Spring and Summer hot days, or tropical vacations. And it is quite successful at it.
Designed in the trails of scents like Invictus Aqua, Rasasi Hawas or Carven l’Eau Intense, it works like a magician when you are either at the seaside, or in the gym or even in the club.
You start this Legend journey with a precious and refreshing grapefruit well supported by bergamot and the inevitable pink pepper. The coolness evolves for a refreshing aqueous, dewy note, providing you the sought after freshness. The mossy and musky bottom wood notes that follow will try against all odds to retain some of that coolness and moisture during the drydown. Unfortunately the drydown does not last long, but you can always respray this cool Spirit at your own will.
The fragrance is quite alluring and a big success with the gentle gender. It’s quite a seductive quality scent in the line of many expensive designer EDTs.
Let’s see how we may score this Legendary Spirit:
Scent Opening: 8.5 (nice, seductive and cool)
Scent Dry Down: 7.5 (very nice and alluring, but so faint…)
Longevity: 6.75 (3 good sprays may last up to 4~5 hours)
Sillage: 6.5 (3 feet at its peak with 3 heavy sprays and 1~1.5 hours of shy projection)
Uniqueness: 6.5 (3.5 points taken due to its similarity with Invictus Aqua, legend, Invictus, Carven l’Eau Intense, Zara Teahupoo, Dunhill Icon Racing, Cartier Pasha Noir Sport, Rasasi Hawas, Armaf Aura, Kelsey Berwin Zeus, Versace Man Eau Fraiche, King of Seduction, Blu di Roma Uomo, Aqva Pour Homme Marine, Terre d’Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche, Burberry Brit Splash, Aques Estiara, … and of course not comparing neither price, nor performance; many of the fragrances I mentioned were released after Legend Spirit.)
Wearability: 8.0 (very easy to wear but avoid cold weather)
Versatility: 8.5 (“all around” versatile fragrance provided it’s not cold. Reigning king as a fragrance for the beach, work out, summer city tourism, esplanade “dolce far niente” and for an open air club.)
Compliments: 9.0 (This fragrance it’s a compliment magnet but don’t forget to respray)
Quality: 8.5 (Above average quality, quality ingredients, nice flask, nice cap, nice sprayer; If it wouldn’t be for the performance issues, I would rate it with a 10.0)
Presentation: 9.0 (no faults, simple but elegant, the best looking bottle of all the aquatic scents I mentioned earlier and a lot more preety than the Invictus tacky flask)
Price: 8.0 (100 ml non tester for €31, so half of Invictus Aqua price, but 2.5 times the price of Zara Teahupoo; The price is slowly coming down in the web distributors)
    Overall rating: 7.89/10.00
    —— up to 5 = avoid it;
    —— between 5 and 6 = under average;
    —— between 6 and 7 = average;
    —— between 7 and 8 =above average;
    —— between 8 and 9 = recomended;
    —— bigger than 9 = don’t miss it;
Advice: If you want a very agreable, fresh, alluring for the gym or beach cologne, and that you may wear together or in place of Invictus Aqua 2016, by no means go ahead and buy it. If you want desperatly to wear this type of scent but you are on a tight budget, try Zara Teahupoo for €12,50. If the Spirit price drops to the same level of Legend Chrome, it will become a smashing sales hit.

I wrote this stuff off awhile ago after using it only once but Ive given it a more in depth trial and Im starting to love it.
It has an aquatic citrus and lavender opening with a dash of spicy muskiness to it. Later on it developes into a dry wood scent.
Performance is great compared to other citrus/aquatics and its cheap as dirt online.
At first you might think its only a warm weather scent, but this works surprisingly well in cold weather with the spicy and wood notes.
    Really underrated stuff.

  12. :

    4 out of 5

What I can say about this gem, I feel very confident and happy after wearing this, the opening is citrusy on dry down it became sweet, has really great longevity on hot Indian weather it lasts for 6 to 7 hrs on the skin, and 10+ hrs on clothes, in my opinion, its very mass appealing nobody could hate this and worth the each penny.

  13. :

    4 out of 5

Sampled it for a few days, smells just like BOUNCE dryer sheets, clean refreshing inoffensive scent. The performance fades after each hour into a skin scent and the drydown is just a faint woody smell. Works great in the office environment because you smell proper, nothing special, just right.
    Scent : 7/10
    Performance : 7/10
    Value : 7/10

Hi, if you’re all ready using this fragrance and you like it then good, but this one is just so bad in the dry down, I’ll be honest what make bought this frangrance was the very good special citrus summer smell that had for the first hour, then it goes to a cheap musky Woody smell, like those Avon cheap one so you can have a clear idea!!

  15. :

This is a lovely fragrance, fresh but with substance, not your typical summer freshie, the opening is one of the most appealing my nose has smelled in years! The dry-down is not too shabby either. This juice just puts me in a good mood, walking around in it’s refreshing and spicy but slightly sweet scent bubble all day gives me a real boost!
After scoring samples for this and Legend original in a store, I liked both but eventually opted for Spirit, and I’m glad I did (have since purchased Legend Intense which is superb too). LS is perhaps ideally suited to spring & summer but I think could be a year round fragrance (tbc). With the ‘Legend’ line Montblanc have created a series of fragrances that some of the ‘bigger’ or more notable names would surely be proud of.
LS is a quality designer scent that can be found for reasonable prices online and if you’re a lover of freshies and can only afford one Montblanc frag right now I would recommend this one (or Intense) far far ahead of a certain other Montblanc fragrance which has been massively hyped by certain ‘individuals’ on youtube, and by reviewers in general but then we all have our own personal tastes and some of us wear frags for ourselves rather than others…in any case this one will be appreciated by most people around you too!
    Scent:9.5/10
    Longevity:7/10 skin 8/10 clothing
    Sillage/projection:7/10
    Value for money:I paid around 35 euros for 100ml = 8/10
Will I buy again?: I certainly hope so, I love it (I hope it’s never discontinued but I would take an Intense version of Spirit!!).

The performance is good, its not the best but it is a EDT and a real summer scent, also if you don’t want to pay for Invictus Aqua and you don’t want that sh*tty chemical synthetic smell the new Invictus Aqua has. GET THIS, because THIS is MUCH better than Invictus, i owned a Invictus Aqua in the past but this is like 50% of the price but 150% better.

This is so close to invictus Aqua and replay relover just better and longlasting…very very Nice summerfragance….allso after 2-3 hours its still very very Nice…you can safely blindbuy This…..

As many other have said….Legend Spirit smells amazing for the first 30 – 60 minutes. But the dry down smells disgustingly cheap like the original cologne, which is a real bummer. If Legend Spirit’s dry down was more unique (different), this would’ve been an excellent flanker.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

Starts off in a promising fashion then after about 30 minutes degrades to a cloying aquatic metallic ozone note that aggravates the heck out of my lungs making me slightly asthmatic..
Granted this effect could be purely attributable to my own personal biology but the metallic note is common to all genomes!
Sadly this peforms like a strong body wash in reality and then downgrades itself to a different summer body wash after 30 minutes…
Not a unique enough standout concoction to warrant the ‘fragrance” label I’m afraid – more suited to a spray on deoderant really.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

First 30 minutes smells like Invictus Aqua. The next 2 hours you’ll be smelling like soap, literally.
Don’t blind buy this one. Sample it first like i did and spray it on your wrist. After the huge performance disappointment of Legend Night i told myself never to buy any of Mont Blonc’s Legend line anymore.
I heard good stuff about this Legend Spirit and while at the store, it smelled great. But after the first 30 minutes , it turned into a hand soap smell which i really dislike.
The opening is great, but the smell afterwards really stinks. I wouldn’t call this a fragrance at all and should be removed from sales. If i had to rate this, i’d give it a 2/10

  22. :

    3 out of 5

The best of the MontBlanc Legend line, although it doesn’t smell much like Legend nor Intense to me.
Can’t get enough of this frag. I keep wearing it at home as well as when I go out.
    One of my top 5.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Some of the best fragrances get called generic,im very tired of that word cause fragrances like this get lower ratings when they deserve a high one, this is one of the best smelling fragrances I’ve ever smelled

I agree with @bkkorn 100%. Sauvage is too strong that it gives me a headache but not this one. I was going to make a A&F First Instinct purchase but someone mentioned that it is similar to Legend Spirit so here I am. $28 for a tester. What a steal. This is even better than the original Legend. Because Legend is just a cheaper version of Sauvage. I received a compliment too at work from a girl when we were standing in line to get our Costco pizza. xD

Montblanc Legend Spirit was my second Montblanc scent after Individuel and IMHO it is better than Individuel but this continues a theme to Montblanc scents. It seems like Montblanc makes clones but do them in the style of fragrances you would not attribute to a cologne. Individuel was a dryer sheet (Which to be fair Joop! Homme was a sweeter take on one) while Legend Spirit is a deodorant take on Invictus Aqua 2016 (from this point I’ll just say Invictus Aqua for argument sake.)
Legend Spirit has a nice sweet fruity open with a heavy grapefruit note. In the mid it goes aquatic with a water note and a nice lavender that turns it into a deodorant accord. The musk cements the deodorant accord with a slight woody note. I do realize that many Invictus clones does this but Legend Spirit does it but in a surprisingly nice way. I notice no cardamom, oakmoss or cashmere notes at all.
Legend Spirit lasts pretty good. I find it projects about two hours moderately before becoming a skin scent and lasting about five additional hours. This works for days from spring to fall in most daytime settings such as work and casual though I wouldn’t use this for a date setting since it smells like deodorants and similar to Invictus, Invictus Aqua and similar scents.
Montblanc Legend Spirit is not unique but it smells awesome. There are many scents that are fairly similar to it including Invictus, Invictus Aqua, Blue Seduction, King of Seduction, King of Seduction Absolute, Jimmy Choo Man Intense, Cuba Winner, Coach for Men, Surf Pour Homme but it is fairly nice for casual cologne wearers. For someone who is seasoned cologne wearer, I would get this if you want something like Invictus Aqua that used it up or wants to use it even.more sparringly. I rate it an 8.1 out of 10 due to the price but if I bought at department store prices, it would be lower.

this is myy first fragrance from montblanc, i can say its very sweet aromatic floral.opens up very sweet with grapefruit and pink pepper. middle notes are very clear and noticeble like cardamom aquatic notes and lavender.leaves a moderate trail with nice projection.very exciting for summer, girls will love it on a summer night near the beach or having a cocktail.i ll give it a 9/10. great fragrance

Tried this for 2 days and it is not in anyway near to Invictus..just dislike it..very linear..very common scent, longevity is ok sillage is ok…very safe scent..I feel the original Montblank legend is better but those die hards of Mont Blanc will be fine with this.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

It falls into the “clean” soapy frags for me. But not as tired, fluffy, and feminine. It has an energy to it and the pepper ads a bite to the energy. If you are seeking a clean smell that isn’t feminine and has a little bite, you should check it out.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

After smell Prada amber I decided I did like this, but I like prada better this smells almost bland but clean… prada has a hint of sweetness to it to make it stand out….

  30. :

    4 out of 5

Something about this fragrance that is just amazing to me,pretty good longevity 6 plus hours on skin 2 days on cloths, since the best invictus aqua isn’t available anymore this is the best option by far to replace it,8.5 out of 10 for me

  31. :

    5 out of 5

Blind buy, and glad I did!
The opening to me smacks me in the face with bergamot, pepper and lavender. It has a similarity to a smoother, cleaner Sauvage type opening….but it’s not loud like Sauvage. Imagine taking the pepper, bergamot and lavender from Sauvage……remove the Amber/ambroxan and replace it with clean woods…….that’s the Spirit opening.
This is a very very clean smelling frag. It has a nice expensive soap vibe. It’s smooth, but not weak.
Once the opening settles,…. I get woods, woods and more woods. It’s great. It’s one of the few frags where I can actually smell woods as it’s presented in the notes breakdown.
I’m really liking this a lot. With this smelling so clean, it’s hard to say that this wouldn’t be versatile. Everyone likes to smell like expensive clean soaps. Who in the heck wouldn’t like this scent?!

  32. :

    4 out of 5

The first 1-2 hours of LS is beautiful….but the drydown is where LS falls short! The drydown is simply way too similar to the original cologne, which has a cheap, cloying, teenage-dream vibe. The top and mid notes of LS is on point, but the drydown is where LS falls short, making LS a boring flanker.
    Overall: 6/10

  33. :

    5 out of 5

This is pretty good. I don’t like it as much as the original Legend, it’s just not as smooth operator. Its like a sportier version. Like a tear away suit with a basketball outfit underneath.
The drydown of Eternity Now Calvin is pretty similar, though EtNow has more sweetness. Of the two I prefer the subtle-ness of the Spirit.

  34. :

I love my Sauvage but have been called yummy by a HOT 50 year old yes there out there…. and told by a hot girl at wawa counter you always smell so good when you come in…. I was wearing this when the comment was said…. I’m not tryn brag just pointing out I’m near 300 ponds and this is getting me noticed…. sauvages 3xem kings of compliments still that edp mmmm…. but this MbLs is a safe non offensive compliment getter will boost any guys chances to get a# or just get into a convo .. for better or worse….
I can see this as unisex because there’s a lot more manly scents that can be carried by both sexes….. wear whatever you want

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I only smelled Invictus Aqua a few times so I can’t comapre it to that, but it’s similar to original Invictus, just without the bubblegum vibe and marine notes added to it. So you get a smoother, rounder aquatic scent. This seems more “pleasing” or “ah” where Invictus is more “yum” and an attention getter. I don’t know if that makes sense. If you’re at a party with your wife and want to just smell good and pleasant to everyone then choose Spirit. If you’re a bachelor and your goal is to end up the next morning in a strangers bed, the choose Invictus.
FYI I did however smell the new Invictus Aqua (2018) and its a huge letdown, very different than Invictus so beware.

Mont Blanc is my favorite fragrance house right now. They keep delivering very solid releases at great prices. Legend Spirit is another great release. It’s somewhat similar to 2016 Invictus Aqua, but less sweet and much fresher. Spirit is a good daytime spring/summer fragrance and is another Mont Blanc that I’m pleased to have in my collection. I get the strangest “french fry oil” smell on opening. So weird!
    Scent: 7/10
    Longevity: 9/10

    Versatility: 8/10

Another basic, aquatic, citrus summer frag.
I don’t dislike it though. I could see a lot of people liking this.
However, Just like the original Legend, there is absolutely nothing special here.

everything Lockon said. i own legend spirit before owning invivtus aqua and he is right on. 99% identical legend a little more clean and refreshing. along with this one also try dolce & gabbana light blue intense , ch men sport they also share similar notes

  39. :

    4 out of 5

A very nice fragrance. It has a clean opening that mellows into a more woody, spicier scent. What I like is that the designers did more than just throw citrusy, aquatic notes onto the original to create a “sporty” flanker, they took the time to create an original scent. You can smell the Legend DNA, but Legend Spirit is its own fragrance. I do think this is less versatile than Legend in that it is more a day scent, but I really do enjoy it. I don’t necessarily disagree with those that say that it isn’t groundbreaking, but it is a solid performer, that smells good and garners plenty of compliments. I think that’s getting a lot from a fragrance – especially at this price point.

  40. :

I don’t care if it’s generic synthetic it’s good enough anytime any season great smell… like Kim k with a clean slate f’able wit

Sauvage and Invictus have a love child. Its name is Legend Spirit, in honor of its godfather, Legend.
This could have easily been named Invictus Spirit or Sauvictus or whatever, as the cloying Invictus DNA dominates the more effervescent Sauvage DNA. There’s some Legend in there, I suppose, maybe.
What do I make of Legend Spirit?
    1. It’s a haphazard mixture of three different commercially successful scents that don’t entirely work together.
    2. It’s a modest improvement over Invictus, which isn’t saying much.
    3. It’s a mismatch to the Legend line, and IMHO the lesser among them.
    4. In spite of all of this, it’s not terrible; it’s just nothing special.
    Meh.

  42. :

Got this last summer but I really clicked on this one this winter. Great smell really. The opening on this one is a 10 but the drydown an 8. Ladies love this stuff.
Somewhat reminescent of Invictus Aqua (i like both but prefer this one)
6 sprays is the sweetspot for this one, dunno why but performance is very good in winter (apply in the morning and still get compliments in the evening) and average in summer (about 3-4 hours).
Would sell like crazy if it had Chanel or Armani label.
Affordable hidden gem in plain sight. Mont Blanc should call Jeremy to hype this juice up.
This fragrance was created by perfumers Olivier Cresp and Nathalie Lorson
    9/10

  43. :

    3 out of 5

Yes, it has the same vibe as Invictus. But not much going on in the character compare to Invictus

  44. :

    4 out of 5

So when I saw all the reviews on here saying this smelled like invictus I was expecting yet another mass marketed freshie that had the typical bubblegum sweetness with some freshness along the same lines as Invictus,1 Million,Eros and Polo Red. But then I sprayed this and I was wrong as this is a different type of freshie more along the aquatic side of things.
In the opening you get a nice fresh burst of grapefruit, that’s very refreshing, crisp and slightly sweet. Then once this dries down the grapefruit subsides and the lavender, woods, and Cardomom kick in and this is still very crisp but also becomes more smooth and has more depth. This is kind of generic but on my skin comes off as very well blended ! Now when I first sprayed this this fragrance reminded me very heavily of Lacoste Essential Sport and then once it dries down it reminded me of Lacoste White. ( Which is the fragrance I think they were trying to make a modern day version of) So if you liked both of those scents and want a more rich, woodsy version of those scents than I’d say give this a shot !
This is also very mass pleasing and I see this getting a lot of positive attention and being great for work. Also, my girlfriend did like this but she also commented that I have a lot of colognes that were similar so this didn’t really stick out. I personally really enjoy this though !
Performance on is above average as it lasts 5-8 hours and projects excellent for 1 hour and then after that just leaves a nice scent bubble and pretty decent Sillage as well.
Overall rating— 7.5 out of 10! Really pleasant scent with good performance
but this has been done so many times before. Great work scent though !
Sidenote: I do like this scent but when it comes to a fresh, zingy aquatic I think I’m going to stick with Lacoste Essential Sport as it has a better grapefruit opening and a better drydown that actually lasts longer as well

I like it, I received a bottle in Christmas and I need to admit the aroma is very good and the performance is very good as well, a little generic BUT the citrus smell on this perfum is not annoying like others…. I think I would buy another bottle after this one!

It’s real good stuff. Not my fav scent, but delicious, unique, and not at all expensive. Similar to invictus and Zara Seoul.

Sweet but aquatic fresh and fruity with grapefruit blast opening.
    Difficult to hate.
It has similarities to invictus aqua but it doesn’t have its annoying sticky ambergris/ambrox feeling.
The longevity of Legend Spirit is moderate but it projects powerfully at the first 1- 2 hours.
Safe blind buy as it is very cheap online.

Sugar sweet like Polo Red. Fresh. Like it but a little cloying.

Invictus clone, it smells good in the initial spray then i feel i’m gonna throw up, not my thing at all!! very synthetic and in a not good way, so i’m gonna stick to Mont Blanc Legend Intense which smells amazing and very well blended.
So this is a huge PASS for me.

One of the SAFEST GIFTS you could purchase to a man of any age.
As a woman I find it , classy and sportive.
Fresh enough for summer and spring , warm enough for autumn and winter.
    All year long fragrance.
Great gift for your hubby , father in law , grandfather or brother.

Smells like a very citrusy Invictus. Enjoyed a sample but it completely disappears after two hours.

Ooops! Some klutz at the Inter-Parfums factory accidentally swapped the formula for Montblanc Legend Spirit with the formula for a $2 body wash fragrance. The catastrophic result is that tens of thousands of men are now spraying themselves deliriously with a cheap, syrupy-sweet, fruity, aquatic musk.
Someone needs to be held accountable for this monstrosity.

    @TonyAKAMrClean – Seconded
20% Legend, 30% Sauvage, %50 Invictus = Legend Spirit. That is EXACTLY what I thought when wearing this.
And while I must say that I REALLY do enjoy the opening, that initial citrusy fruitiness dissipates rather quickly and soon transforms into a slightly cloying, slightly spicy-musky sweetness that very obviously mirrors Invictus, but with an overall shower-gel vibe.
In fact, the first time I smelled this in Sephora, I was like “Oooo Dove+care shower gel!” It’s definitely a familiar smell, but it just turns too sweet on my skin after a while – just like Legend Intense, which smells exactly like AXE Apollo.
Still, the juice is actually blended quite well and the longevity on me is above average. The compliment factor is also unsurprisingly high, given that the masses tend to prefer sweet-freshies with a slight masculine edge. Starwalker is my signature scent, so you’ll never hear any Mont Blanc hate coming from me. It’s a solid house IMO, particularly for the budget conscious.
So yeah, that’s it. If you enjoy Invictus and its flankers, this is probably a better overall scent. It’s sweet, fresh, spicy and well recieved, especially in the higher heat. I won’t be buying a bottle, but if you’re looking for that one generic that fits most categories (like BDC), then this just might float your boat. Big time.

Spirit has simillar fruity vibe from Invictus for some time, but overall it’s different. Pink pepper and lavender adds warm spicy floral aspect. Nothing really new, but beautifuly done imo. At drydown lavender still predominates for some time, later the scent evolves into powdery, creamy musky woods. Longevity ~7 hours on me, moderate projection, strong for first hour.

good, very very good! i purchased legend spirit because i need a fresh cologne for everyday use in the spring/summer seasons, i have sauvage but i keep it for dates and special occasions in the next sunny months. i enjoy very much wear this fragrance, and also people around me appreciate it. i personally dont get any similarities with sauvage, they are in the same league but they are different. legend spirit is more fruity in the opening, then became more musky with some metallic notes. i find this fragrance casual and alluring in the same time. it works very good in the warm days, and the sillage and longevity are more than average on my skin(finally!!). the projection is great in the first 2 hours, then became softer but not silent, and on my skin i can smell it for 4-5 hours, i think it’s very good for a fresh cologne. great verstility, u can wear it for dates or for the office, not in the cold seasons. i personally prefer the intense version but spirit is better than the original legend and this is the best choise for the warm days.very recommended, well done montblanc! grazie a tutti!

This is a fragrance that can really draw you in. I gotta say I like it a lot. I sampled M Legend about a year ago, but I wasn’t super impressed. So this year I decided to give the Spirit flanker a chance, and for me anyway, it has whatever montblanc legend was missing. I like the opening, even though it’s not easy to pin down. I do get a bit of vanilla throughout the course of the day, but it stays in the background. I’m thinking it’s the cashmere woods maybe with the white musk. But it’s actually the subtle notes of musk and wood in the dry down that really got me hooked.
This is a great everyday type scent with dece
