Description
Intense is an edition introduced in 2007 in woody composition, designed by Jacques Cavallier. Top notes bring sweet and fresh waves of tangerine, bergamot, yuzu and orange. Heart notes create rhythm of blue lotus, camphor, cardamom, cinnamon and saffron, together with nutmeg, while base notes finish the composition with accords of incense, amber, benzoin, papyrus and grey amber. It available as 75 and 125 ml edt.
Two editions in new flacons but with the same compositions were introduced in 2009 – L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme and L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Intense. Colours of the flacons – light grey and dark grey colour of asphalt make an impression of a union of water and concrete.

I’ve worn L’eau d’Issey for years…When I was young, I used to wear it almost every day. I never tried the intense version because for the most part, I do not like intense versions, limited editions, flankers, etc, etc.
I wish I had tried this a long time ago. It’s not just a stronger version of L’eau d’Issey. It is a whole different scent. I do get just a little bit of the original Issey at initial spray, but that goes away pretty quickly.
This is dry, smoky, and incense-y with just enough freshness to make this suitable for any place and any time of day. The more I smell this, the more I like this. Good stuff.

Good but noting remarkable. Nothing too inense about it either, was a blind buy as I have liked some fragrances from this brand before, however I think it will be my last one as they ultimately never quite last long enough and projection isn’t that great either

A mature guy can naturally pull this off even in casual clothes, but as a young guy I need to be a little more dressed up(darker attire). This is a masculine scent through and through and it is perfect for evening wear. There is a mysteriousness about this scent, which is nicely complemented by the smells and atmosphere of a dimly lit bar. This is a date night scent for a guy who does not play around, yet is not intimidating. Girls may find this icky, where as a grown woman will find it to be intriguing. Very incense-ey for the first hour and then it settles back to the citrus that could be detected on the initial spray. Personally, this is not a scent I would want beast mode projection on, so the 4-5 hours of moderate projection is perfect for nights out that I do wear it. For $30 for 125ml (where I am), its a necessary addition in any guys collection to break from the fruity pebble freshness of today’s market.

I purchased this fragrance a while back in store based off smelling the top notes which I liked and it was cheap so figured I’d risk it. Unfortunately this fragrance didn’t turn out the way I was expecting it too. The nice dark citrus top notes disappear in 20 minutes and you’re left with a very insence dominant fragrance with some spices to back it.
I’ve used 1/4 of my 75ml bottle as I know it can take time to appreciate a fragrance, unfortunately this fragrance sits at the back of my collection collecting dust.

Well to get things straight, it definitely has the Issey Miyake DNA, which is what was unique about Issey Miyake (the yuzu note). The dry down is where things change spectacularly, in one word the incense takes over on the dry down! It is an acquired taste which regular connoisseurs might not like. However it is a great incense scent mixed with the citrus opening. It is a cheapie for sure.
The downside however is the longevity, which is shambolic at only four hours, not what i have ever experienced with Issey Miyake. 2016 batch
