Description

Lacoste L!ve Pour Homme or Lacoste Live Pour Homme is a brand new edition by Lacoste completing the eponymous clothing line Lacoste L!ve. Prominent and urban, as it was announced, the new Lacoste Live introduces changes into the collection, which lined the L.12.12 editions inspired by the characteristic short-sleeve polo shirt with crocodile. The new fragrance was designed to be very close to the eponymous fashion line but also to play on perspectives.

Flacon of the new Lacoste Live arrives in as a glass cube, colored in navy blue, whose sides are colored in white, black and red, which can also be taken as raw materials, with for example 32% intense blue and 10% pure red! P&G team in collaboration with Lacoste designers created Lacoste Live and enriched it with freshness of lime in top notes, announcing a blend of green leaves and sea notes in the heart, relating on a base created of liquorice and guaiac wood. u “A special twist to the fragrance is added by liquorice.” – stated for wwd Antoine Delgrange, global marketing director of Procter & Gamble Prestige.

Advertising campaign was also designed and it will play on the perspective and optic illusions, directed by H5 coordinated by Grey Advertising. The fragrance arrives as 40 and 100ml Eau de Toilette in spring 201
Lacoste Live was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean-Michel Duriez.

Not impressed I think I realize now I do not like licorice in fragrances…..A wee bit disappointed

Mwah, okay but nothing spectaculair. Office safe spring/autumn scent, don’t get fooled that, because of the summery bottle, this is a fresh summer scent. It’s more like Davidoff Cool Water Night Dive or Lagerfeld Ocean View Man. It’s just okay, longevity and sillage are good, there just is an off-putting ingredient in it that makes it just okay. I had the Raymond Pettibon edition, bottle looks great, but that’s just about it.

A pleasant safe for work fragrance. Citrus and clean water scent that provides average longevity. When I get bored of my other work day scents, I usually grab this one.

I love this. Another review mentioned Michael Kors- I have never tried Michae Kors but I have this knockoff Michael Kors from the dollar store that smells exactly like this (but lasts 30 mins).
Just paid $20 for this at a local pharmacy, very pleased with this purchase.
Kind of reminds me of Nautica Latitude which is another favorite of mine.

Got this today on a whim of it being £24 for 100ml. i’ve been uuming and arring to buy this since it came out and at the right price i finally bought it, which isn’t too bad for something which might be my lazy day going to the pub kind of scent. though hopefully i will be a bit more surprised, once i get to test it out properly

Sweet feminine perfume, I almost got it for myself not knowing it is for men. Pleasant, sweet but light, nothing new here, but smells nice.

I get the whole “coca cola” vibe from this, but what this really reminds me of is Michael kors for men, it has got that classic dad aftershave smell to it.

Niche edge with no power. The incense factor is reminiscent of opus VI but the little grandson just born. Basic but freshest incense I have smelled in the designer game.

It is not that great and not that bad too like its an OK type of a Perfume.
I don’t like it that much neither hate it as well, its just moderate.
When i spray it on me, i just get lemony smell from it. After it dries down it smells like a lemon which was kept outside for like a day or two like it loses its GREAT SCENT and becomes a NORMAL SCENT, that’s exactly what Lacoste Live was to me.
Sillage is like too soft, the person has to be too close to smell it otherwise no.
Longevity, well it stayed on me for close to 5 hours.
    So, My ratings –
    Scent – 6/10
    Sillage – 5/10
    Longevity – 5/10
    Overall – 5.5/10

It’s an OK fragrance. Not bad, not great. Lacoste Live feels fresh, woody and a little sweet. I can really pick the licorice note here with a fresh wood base. Very casual scent, for guys who wants to keep it simple, fresh and casual. Cons for Lacoste Live is that feels very generic and boring. Projection is average, longevity on my skin is 4 to 6 hours.

A very nice fragance that is made for casual wear. I enjoy the woody aquatic feel of this one. The wood is more overpowering than the aquatic and citrusy notes which I personally prefer. It is not a luxurious fragrance at all but it is a classic designer fragrance that is easily worn and will not let you down if you want to have an all rounder. A good handyman perfume if you visit a lot of people during the day and want to smell good but not offend anyone by your scent.
What do I get out of this scent?
I clearly get the wood and the aquatic notes as well as a bit of lime. On the other hand I do not recognise the licorice. The green notes are subtitle but they are definitely there.
I like this fragance but it is not special enough for me to wear, and I would not consider buying it for myself. But as a present I would go for this one for a person under 30 or a person with a young mind.
    Overall: 5/10

This is made for everyday to casual wear/occassions. Got it for Christmas from my brother. Very subtle. Not as good as the Lacose Pour Homme.

Can anyone actually smell the licorice? I requested a sample of this with my Sephora Chrismas present order thinking the licorice note might be interesting. But I’m not picking it up at all. This will do well with Southern preps who wear seersucker in August.

This is better than any Lacoste fragrance I have tried. Although I’m not in awe of the juice, it’s quite generic, it does have decent longevity with 5-6 sprays for about 4-5 hours. Compare that to the earlier lines, this to me, is certainly above the rest.
You certainly wouldn’t wear this for any special occasion or when you’re planning to woe someone. Casual scent to the core, great for daytime hangouts ONLY

  28. :

    3 out of 5

I think the bottle is well received; unfortunately they had to fill it with a silly mixture of red, blue, and white or whatever their slogan is. Have you ever mixed a bunch of different colors in art class? You usually end up with something resembling vomit. Although L!VE is not off-putting, it is flat.
In general, it’s soapy fresh with a touch of mint. I usually enjoy safe aquatics and frags tailored toward youth because my sinuses are overly sensitive, but this is not doing a thing for me.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

It is ok, if you are searching for a pleasant, easy to wear, pretty generic fragrance. It does the job, but nothing more.

  30. :

Starts off with a synthetic citrus of no particular variety, and maybe a little melon. Dries to a soft spicy, “classic dad aftershave” smell, which can be a good or a bad thing. Definitely doesnt have that wow factor. Im going to put this in the category of smells good enough to wear if i received it as a gift. Bottle is heavy and tacky looking.

I didn’t find it too exciting, a bit sharp, clean, like sharp and woodsy my 12 year old didnt find it interesting either?. I think there are lots of more interesting fragrances out there, it just smelled also synthetic to my nose..not one I would buy although the bottle is cool!!!

  33. :

its definitely a preppy and young scent. i totally get woody lime licorice. i think perfect for a 17 yr old. i think it is suited towards their clothing line. if you shop there you may like the fragrance if you are young. okay for business, not offensive. casual though, so i would say business casual. polo shirt and khakis. not suitable for business professional. too relaxed. could probably get away with wearing it on vacation to the beach in summer if you are older.

Why would any body associate a knee problem with a perfume but still you made me laugh

  35. :

    3 out of 5

That’s the most sophisticated Lacoste fragrance ever. Lacoste says Live is all about lime, to my nose citruses play here second roles. Live is not aquatic or sporty but modern sweet spicy . It starts off with a honeyed smoky note that reminds of a lighter version of L’Artisan Tea for Two. Then Live become fruitier and and a bit fresh in a way of Joop Splash. However Lacoste Live is quite unique with a good sillage and longevity.

True, it is nothing groundbreaking or earth-shattering, but a pretty decent frag with a note I’ve seldom found in ANY fragrance……. See if you can figure out that note when you get a sniff of this juice….. I sure like the bottle tho, it adds flavour to my collection….

  37. :

    5 out of 5

In the line, my best two are: the original in that iconic bottle & lacoste Blanc….

  38. :

    5 out of 5

This was a blind buy for me 98% because I find the bottle to be unique…. When you start becoming a collector and you are in the 100-bottle neighbourhood, you sometimes do blind buts on this type of basis…. Yes “boring” yes “nothing out of the ordinary”…., definitely won’t be earth shattering….. But put it on on a 23/25-degree summer afternoon, or evening and watch it perform very well as a crisp clean, safe youthful, uplifting & enviro rating scent. It takes me back to the H.S days- wearing my timberland boat shoes, lacoste t-shirt and ray ban wayfarer sunglasses… GREAT MEMORIES!!!

    very average fragrance
not good not bad although / routine lemon scent

  41. :

    4 out of 5

This is even more boring then all the other Lacoste fragrances, lacks any imagination. Didn’t smell bad or cheap, just very generic, citrus notes? Really?

  42. :

    4 out of 5

First of all… no matter how bad or boring the majority of Lacoste fragrances are (and let’s face it they are!) I’m always keen to try anything from them just on the strength of eau de Lacoste Blanc which I love with everything I got!
Now personally where the bottle is concerned, it’s not bad but I’m not crazy about the presentation. What I do like is the shape of the bottle, it’s a squat lil cube like Encre Noire or something? Seems like an obvious choice to make a cube but not many others copy that format. Another small criticism was my first impression of the sprayer was not good it squirted out a feeble jet rather than a mist, which also soaked my trigger finger.
Anyway the juice is the important thing, so what is live like? Well unfortunately it falls victim to crowd pleasing and in epic proportions.
The opening citrus makes way for a predictable but not unpleasant scent which seems very much like other sports fodder. It’s kinda green but not natural at all and woody I suppose but I really don’t get the typical signature of guaiac wood nor did I really get any liquorice. I may have to try this again you know because there’s some interesting ingredients which seem to have been blended out of all recognition into a generic mess.
Not bad, not good either and the longevity was poor on my skin.

Smelt this one today. Initial spray made me think of lemonade. I think this would be from the lime top notes that cut through very heavily. This I wasn’t so sure about.
Once settled I was actually impressed. I think was a step away from the L.12.12 range which I had become so used to recognising when out and about.
It was a shame that it it had a weak to moderate lasting power.
    Overall, not bad at all.

Arrived this week to Finland. I don’t fancy this one bit. It’s too green and somehow too strong in a really “eugh” way. I don’t like the bottle either, or the colours of the bottle. Not my thing in any way.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

I love this scent, I don’t get the liquorice which i we red as I would normally pick up on this. I think this is a greta scent for this summer. It is so much better than all those terrible watery L.12.12 scents, which were a waste of time. When I first saw it it reminded me of Gap blue in terms of bottle. It smells good modern, fresh, longevity not massive, but good silage. Only worn it once and good comments. Time for Lacoste to return to decent scents, it was a while ago I liked one.

We received Lacoste L!ve nearly a month ago and I was able to smell it very early… Didn’t know that this is due to be released in october or november 2014!!
Lacoste L!ve continues the trend of all the L.12.12. editions and I really think that they came out with a new bottle and name just because they ran out of possible colors for it to be another L.12.12. edition. I mean the last L.12.12. was another white bottle with a fluorescent yellow borders and crocodile!
L!VE is not offensive! It’s a totally wearable perfume. You’ll rarely go wrong getting it! But what’s brings it down is it’s “Genericness”! And yes, It’s another green, watery, citrus smell for summer! Again, not a bad thing, but, I wouldn’t classify it as a “New” perfume! I smell just a faint dose of licorice and I do wish they added just a more kick to the licorice, it might have taken the scent to a whole new direction.
All in all, this is a safe scent that can be boring for some (me). Try it you may like it!
Btw… For a watery cologne it has a good lasting power. You’ll get a good 4 to 6 hours of it. It’s projection is moderate to soft but I don’t find this as a bad thing because it’s a sporty cologne. You don’t need to fill the room with it!

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Define “new” please (as in this is a new fragrance…) this sounds to me like your typical bright green citric opening followed by ubiquitous calone-doused middle. The only redeeming feature would be the guaiac wood and liquorice root in the dry down.
I know this company is sports based so I understand many of their scents have a modern sheer clean aesthetic but come on, people, this is ridiculous!
I osmagine some Lacoste L.12.12 green layered over (insert fruity aquatic here) as some L12.12 noir appears wanly, and then is gone…
I have all this House’s early male releases. After scents like Elegance (chocolate, raspberries & wood) or Lacoste original, even Pour Homme (grey bottle) or Booster, you can imagine my disappointment after then smelling Challenge Refresh and seeing THIS?!
Lacoste did sport-they did it right (hot play and cold play are an interesting dichotomy of that genre). They always get compliments when more eensive niche scents get no recognition or, worse yet, wrinkled noses. Why this formula and why now, I ask thee Oh once mighty house of classic yet affordable colognes, and that bottle…? It is fun. Maybe the scent will be too
I have, as many of you know, a very active imagination. Although this remains to be sniffed, I can only assume there was an accident at the factory and three different formulae were inadvertently blended. Rather than take a huge loss, some quick thinking marketing executive’s assistant probably saved the day by making a joke to bottle it and sell it anyway…but never got a raise.
I may have a slightly skeptical outlook towards this release and I hope I end up eating crow (organic & free range, of course) and this rocks, but I tend to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
    Smell swell & be well
